Hello all. In keeping with my current run of pics, I thought I'd put out some more Kim Possible stuff. At time of this posting, I actually did get this done yesterday, as intended. I was simply too tired to post, so I decided to leave it for this morning.
This was an image that had been in my head for a while, just of Kim and Ron getting into a downtown nightclub and just having the chance to let it all hang out for a while. Those familiar with my work will recognize Kim's outfit from an earlier picture. In fact, it was actually suggested to me that I use this particular dress when I was struggling to figure out what to put her in. Ron, meanwhile, is serving as an example of how little changes can pay big dividends, keeping the turtleneck/cargo pants combo, but replacing the hockey jersey with something else. In earlier pics, I used a vest, which I still like a lot, but I wanted to give him something else for this pic. So here, I went with just an open shirt, with sleeves you can roll up and strap in place. This kind of leans into the spirit of the old hockey jersey, but adds a certain evolution that I think says "College Ron". It also reveals a particular ensemble addition Kim provided for him in Season 3 that was normally kept hidden. And the shirts can even be given different colors to give it variety. Think Superman: The Animated Series where they always kept the same Clark Kent and Lois Lane designs, but would just swap out the colors occasionally to create the illusion of design changes.
All-in-all, I'm pleased with the result. Some tweaks had to be done later on, which I'm definitely glad I went back and did. And while the background may be simple, it's definitely what I was looking for. But anyway, I hope you like what you see. As always, comments are appreciated.
Enjoy. ^_^

Well, so far, my efforts to put out more regular postings (in order to attract more attention and hopefully inspire commissions) has been going quite well.  The approach I've devised to put out a completed piece on Saturday, while doing pencil work on Sundays has enabled me to maintain a constant flow of projects while keeping the rest of of my week open to do other things.  With any luck, this momentum will keep going.  As for this week's submission, it's pretty straightfrward.  It was a pre-commission request from here on DeviantArt, showing off Wonder Woman eating a banana with a banana peel on her head (because reasons).  To give the picture a little more context, I decided to include Giganta as well. All in all, I'm happy with the end result.  The background might be a bit rustic, but that was more or less what I was going for.  And let's be honest, that's not what you're going to be looking at, anyway.  As always, I hope you like what you see and any comments are appreciated.
And for the record, a NSFW variant of this image is available at the usual locations for those in the know. Enjoy. ^_^

Hello, all. You know, as I'm making it a point to get out more regular postings (if for no other reason than to draw more attention to my Gallery in the hope of attracting commissions), it occurs to me that I haven't put out any Kim Possible content for a hot minute. I may have expanded my repertoire over the years, but that doesn't mean I should forget what brought me to the dance in the first place, right? So, to rectify this situation, I decided to put out a pic that's actually been in my head for quite some time.
Like most of my pics, the premise is pretty straightforward. Despite his Mystical Monkey Power working full-time, and the increased confidence that comes with it, there are times when Ron can still be a little skittish about jumping out of airplanes. So Kim decides to help him out by giving him something other than the horizon to focus on. Of course, as you can see, she's clearly happy to be showing Ron her undivided attention, as well. ^_^
All-in-all, I'm pleased with the result. I added the same motion blur effect that helped my recent Power Girl pic jump off the page. And while I can't say it's QUITE as striking here, it's still a nice effect. Anyway, as always, hope you like what you see. Comments are always welcome. Look forward to hearing from you. ^_^

Hello all.  I know it's been a while.  I've been trying to get numerous things accomplished, up to and including announcing that I'm going to be starting commissions up again.  I actually got this finished yesterday, but I was so exhausted toward the end that I decided to wait on posting it until today.
This is an image that's pretty much been in my head since I saw Renee Montoya make an appearance in just the TRAILER for the Amazon series, "Batman: Caped Crusader", and sporting a design that is quite the departure from the DCAU version of the character.  The premise is pretty simple...Renee has a day off and wants to go out on the town (clearly hoping that the night goes well, judging from the ensemble she's "wearing").  But as she looks into the mirror, she can't quite put her finger on it, but something doesn't seem quite right.
Can YOU spot all the differences? ^_^
In truth, I've had the pencil work done on this for quite a while, but I wanted to get some other things done as well.  Still, with any luck, this will get me back on track and have something of a plan for things, going forward.  All in all, I'm quite pleased with the finished product.  I know the background is sparse and simple, but I wasn't going for anything elaborate and I think it still works.  Anyway, the plan is to get some more projects completed sooner than later.  So in the meantime, enjoy this.  And as always, any comments are appreciated. ^_^
NOTE: There IS a full NSFW version of this, that anyone in the know can find at the usual locations.

Happy Halloween* all! ^_^
(*Yeah, I know it's November now. Shut up. Don't pretend most of you weren't waiting until the weekend to do your ACTUAL Halloween stuff, anyway. The 31st was just for the kids.)
This was actually an image that I had the pencil work done on for quite some time. I was just waiting until now to pull the trigger on finishing it (and at time of posting, I dropped everything, including work on my latest fanfic to get it done).
You know, like any franchise that's been around forever, Scooby-Doo occasionally has to shake things up. Some of these efforts work better than others. But one of the smartest decisions I think they made came when the world was introduced to THICC Daphne. After all, it wasn't hard to see why. Back in the day, Daphne and Velma's roles were very clearly defined, with Daphne being the obvious eye candy while Velma was just the chubby nerd (I mean, it was 1969...what did you want?). But for going on two decades now, the fandom basically flipped the script by being pretty open with the fact that, given the option...yeah, they'd rather get their knob polished by the chubby nerd. And not only did Warner Bros. begin to take notice, but they started leaning into it. When the series, "Scooby Doo and Guess Who?" came out, it was NOT a coincidence that the animators tweaked Daphne's original design so that her body type looked more like Velma's. They knew EXACTLY what they were doing.
Which brings us to the image at hand. Here we've got Daphne partaking in a little Halloween dress-up, choosing one character that she DEFINITELY has the figure to pull off now. Personally, I think she nails it. But what do you think? As always, comments are always appreciated.
For the record, a NSFW version is also available. Those in the know should have no trouble finding it. In the meantime, enjoy what's here. And Trick or Treat. ^_^

Hello all.
Well, at time of this posting, it's the Labor Day long weekend, so I really had no excuse to put out nothing. So this is the picture I went with. I really don't have much to say about this one, in general, except that it was a request made on DA. Much like Desiree, herself, in this image, don't ask me to explain it. All I knew was that I was going to be out of the house all day and that I could bang this out quickly before I had to leave. So at least I can say I had something. And it's not like I half-assed it, either. I'm pleased with how it turned out. Hopefully, the requester feels the same way, as well as the rest of you. Enjoy. ^_^

Hello, all. For those of you who enjoyed my Justice League fanfic, "Emergence" (posted on DA, as well as on fanfiction.net), which begins Galatea's journey to becoming Power Girl, and have patiently waiting for the follow-up, "Ascension", which completes that evolution, at the time of this posting, I'm still putting a few final bits and pieces together. But hopefully, this will tide you over, if only in some small way.
This is actually an scenario that's been dancing in my head for quite some time..."What would happen if Jax-Ur and Mala, the Kryptonian villains from 'Superman: The Animated Series' showed up again in the Justice League Unlimited timeline (but with Galatea around as Power Girl now)?". While this would obviously take place after, "Ascension", I'm not sure it's something I would actually craft a story around...you know, unless a really good idea came along (and by that, I mean, a convenient excuse, since Jax-Ur and Mala are, for all intents and purposes, DEAD in the DCAU, after being sucked into a black hole). So (for the moment, at least) think of this image as more of an "Elseworlds"-style aberration.
I don't know. Am I the only one who thinks this would kind of be a mismatch? I mean, if you look at their track record with a cold eye over their two appearances in Superman:TAS, you start to realize that, for a couple of arrogant soldiers bent on becoming ruthless conquerors, Jax-Ur and Mala (to borrow a line from Bob "MovieBob" Chipman) were "actually NOT all that efficient, or well-managed, or strategically competent, or even battlefield TOUGH, but were mostly good at LOOKING the part for a while". In fact, one could even argue that it was really only the advanced technology of Krypton (and the powers they gained later on Earth) that made either of them, in ANY way, formidable. Which kind of tracks, when you consider that Krypton (from what little we know of it in the DCAU) didn't seem to have any real NEED of a military, other than to simply defend the planet against any would-be invaders. So what chance would they have against not JUST Superman this time, but also someone like Galatea/Power Girl, who not only has the same powers, but has been specially trained to DEAL with such threats? In fact, I could easily picture a point in the fight where PG starts openly MOCKING both of them..."Really? YOU TWO are supposed to be the BEST the Kryptonian military had to offer?".
Anyway, that leads us to the image you see here. Personally, I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out, especially when measured against the skyline. At first, I thought I was still gonna have to add some speed lines to add emphasis. But no, as it turns out, the motion blur effect was all I ended up needing, and it really does make the whole thing just pop off the screen. Or at least I think it does. But what do you think? Again, for those of you still waiting for me to get "Ascension" written, hopefully, this will tide you over. And for everyone else, I just hope you like what you see. As always, thoughts and comments are always welcome. Enjoy. ^_^

Hello all. For my first pic back in a while, I thought I'd start with something simple (though I did do three variants of it). And in keeping with my crusade to bring attention to lesser-known ladies in animation, I thought I'd showcase Agent Honeydew, from the "Dial 'M' for Monkey" segments of Dexter's Laboratory.
Now I can hear some of you already…"Wait a minute…'lesser-known'? But I remember 'Dexter's Lab' and it was great. We all know who Agent Honeydew is". Oh, really? And when was the last time YOU gave this woman a second thought (assuming you can even REMEMBER)?
Slight pause while I do a quick tally of all the low foreheads in the room.
Uh-huh. That's what I thought. And do you know WHY? Because she doesn't live rent-free in your head like Maddie Fenton, Helen Parr or Dexter's Mom do. Throw Anne Possible and Cass Hamada into the equation and it's like the only way to hold anyone's attention for longer than five minutes these days is to be a redheaded MILF.
And hey, this is not me pointing fingers at anybody when I say that. I don't have clean hands here. Believe it or not, I actually FORGOT I was going to do this pic, just ONE DAY after I decided to draw it. So I had to keep reminding myself until I could finally get the pencil work down on paper.
Which brings us to the following image, which sees Agent Honeydew developing to improve her telepathic abilities. These are two of three variants I mentioned earlier, each seeing her sporting a different outfit she wore on the show, and the third one being NSFW (and those of you familiar with my NSFW stuff should know where to look by now). Hope you all like what you see. And as always, comments or thoughts are always appreciated. Enjoy. ^_^

Calling all DCAU fans!  Remember when this woman was practically everywhere for a while?  Anytime there was an episode of Batman: The Animated Series, it was almost a guarantee that Summer Gleeson was going to show up at some point to cover something.  Dismiss her as the show's exposition dump if you want to, but the fact is, Summer was like the fourth most prominent supporting character on the show at one point, behind only Alfred, Commissioner Gordon and Harvey Bullock (Bullock at least had a couple of episodes dedicated to him, which is what I think edged her out for the #3 spot). And then, out of nowhere, when Batman: TAS became The New Batman Adventures, she just completely vanished off the face of the Earth.  And I really have no idea why.  I suppose if I had to GUESS, the most likely reason would be because Superman: The Animated series came along, which meant the animators now had Lois Lane in their toy box to play with.  So they probably figured, what did they need another spunky reporter lady around for if they'd finally gotten their hands on the original model?  Still, considering the role Summer played for three Seasons, it's a little hard not to view it as unfair that she got benched the way she did. But on to the matter at hand.  For anyone wondering what exactly is going on here, I was basically inspired by an old gag from Seinfeld...the one where the guys would all take off their pants to keep them from getting wrinkled when they sat down.  Martin Scorsese did the same bit in the movie, "Casino" (I'd almost say he was inspired by the episode if it hadn't been made around the same time as the film).  But basically, this is just that same setup, with Summer preparing a report for broadcast.  I just expanded on it and sexy-ed it up a bit.
All, in all, I'm quite happy.  This pic was a lot of work to get it looking the way I wanted it to, but it was worth it.  Feel free to tell me if you feel the same way.  As always, I look forward to hearing from you.
Note: While this current picture does leave little to the imagination, regardless, a full NSFW version is available.

This was a second would-be commission from the same client who wanted a picture an SSM picture of his character, Miss Metallica.  This time, he wanted a DCAU-style picture of his ghostly OC, White Shadow.  Again, while the character, himself, turned out fairly well, I was again unhappy with the background in the end.  I was so disappointed in myself with the background on the previous picture that I went too far in the other direction and oversimplified the alley background on this one.  Also, I REALLY just wanted to get the picture done, because I'd already kept him waiting so long and I just didn't feel good about it.  Still, I hope everyone likes it well enough.

This was what would have been another commission, had circumstances not conspired otherwise. This was a request to see his spider-themed OC, Miss Metallica, presented in my SSM style. All in all, I'm happy with how the character, herself, turned out (he wanted me to add a metallic sheen to her costume and I'd like to think I pulled that off. I was also able to able to use certain effects to fake the appearance of anime-style speed lines, adding motion to the image of her dropping in on a would-be criminal from above. What I'm less happy with is the background. While the overall appearance is fine in itself, it was my first time really attempting anything like this (especially from and upward trajectory) and the end result didn't work nearly as well as it did in my head. The angles are all wrong and it's really obvious if look. But at this point, I was already too far in to back out. I just hope everyone is cool with it.

Another would-be commission, this one was a request to see Danny Phantom OC, Burner, indulging his human girlfriend, Jessi, in some romantic massage.  As you can tell from the look on Burner's face, though, while he IS being respectful, you can tell that romance is the LAST thing on his mind at the moment.
As you can see, this is a little on the "risque" side, but as it's not outright explicit, I feel reasonably comfortable posting it here. Either way, I was very happy with how this one turned out and I hope everyone who sees it feels the same. ^_^

This WAS going to be one of my art commissions before that whole venture fell apart.  This was requested to me through Tumblr, with the individual in question asking to venture a little bit outside the box.  See what he wanted was a basic line art picture from Ben 10: Omniverse, featuring Ben Tennyson, Kevin Levin and Rook Blonko posing as a rock band.  He was actually VERY specific about what he wanted everyone wearing and doing, as well as what positions they filled. I added in the simple background of them posing in an abandoned warehouse (which is kind of a common theme when it comes to bands doing album photos).
Since the commission request was for line art, I really saw no point in coloring it and chose to post it as is.  Therefore, I invite any of you to color it for yourselves.  If you'd like, feel free to show me what you come up with.  Some of you may even do better than I would have done.  As for the rest of you, I just hope you like what you see. ^_^

And so, here we are with my first (and for the moment, LAST) actual paid art commission.  The request was to see Tracer from Overwatch draw in the Kim Possible style.  To be honest, I was actually kind of relieved that he wanted a simpler style, since that meant I didn't have to get SUPER detailed with Tracer's gear, particularly her weapons and chest harness (I can only imagine how much longer that would have taken with a more elaborate style).  I was also glad that he essentially gave me complete freedom to draw Tracer however I wanted, because I pretty much had a pose for her in mind right out of the gate.
Remember when the first Overwatch game came out and everyone was going all "Helen Lovejoy" over Tracer's ass, for some reason?  I mean, I've railed against people being prudish with video game females before (case in point, with my Dark Queen picture from earlier), because we know why they do that, but this REALLY felt like a bridge too far.  And I just kept thinking to myself, "Really? You think THIS is the downfall of civilization? You didn't think they could come up with ANYTHING more provocative than a shot of Tracer from the back?".  So this picture was basically me saying, "Well, how 'bout THIS?!"
Luckily, he was happy with how it turned out, as am I, since it pretty much turned out exactly the way I envisioned it.  I also explored some more elements of my Photoshop program which has allowed me to try my hand at implementing some new effects that will hopefully improve my pictures going forward.  As for everyone else, I hope you like what you see. ^_^

And here we are, Dear Viewers (I wanted to say "True Believers" but I think I'm taking enough liberties here, already), to my pic,  which commemorated 100 thousand Hits on my Gallery.  Truthfully, according to my counter, I was already well on my way to the NEXT hundred thousand, but better late than never, right? This idea hit me like a bolt out of the blue, while I was working, the week prior.  This was an image I'd actually had my head for quite some time, as it represents the climax of my X-Men: Evolution fanfic ideas, which introduced, Jonothan Starsmore, aka. "Chamber", into the mix.  As you can see, the image itself, is pretty straightforward, featuring Jean turning into Dark Phoenix and Chamber becoming instrumental in dealing with the threat...one way or the other.  With this image in mind, I decided to take it one step further, formatting it like a Marvel Comics commemorative issue and trying to make it look as much as possible like the cover issues of the time the show was on the air. One look at this image will give you a pretty solid idea of exactly why this took me two and a half days to complete.  While the actual artwork, itself wasn't difficult (I'm quite pleased with my renditions of Jean and Cyclops, this being the first time I've drawn either of them, and I've made what I feel are some solid improvements to Chamber's overall look as well) everything you see in this pic represents another bell and whistle that required painstaking time and effort to add in.  Off the top of my head, I can think of about a dozen things I could have left out to make this FAR easier on myself.  But I figured if I do this, I'm going to go all the way.  And looking at the picture, I don't regret it for a second. Hopefully, the rest of you feel the same way. ^_^

So here, we arrive at my Commemoration for receiving 80,000 Hits on my Gallery. I trust that, for most of you, these characters needs no introduction.  I was actually wracking my brain, trying to come up with some kind of image to do for a commemorative.  But then, I started thinking about the upcoming fanfic I'm planning, "Legacy", which takes place in the Batman Beyond timeline of the DCAU.  And that's when I started thinking...why not take that promo image for Justice League Unlimited and kind of flip it, making it about the BEYOND Justice League instead?  So I immediately set to work to make that idea happen. Which brings us to our final result.   As you can see, what we have here are the original members of the Beyond Justice League, standing in much the same poses as their original counterparts in the promo image.  But as you can also see, I've also made a couple of interesting additions to the team as well.  Pretty much all of these characters, arrayed here, I'm hoping to be able to fit into the "Legacy" fic, but we'll have to see if I can manage to find room for them.  In the meantime, enjoy the visual. ^_^
