Well, I agree and disagree at the same time.

I disagree with that Jinora is essentially the one who's willing to take risks because she sees her relationship as ironclad. Yes, the environment in which Jinora grew up is full of love and her parents' relationship is strong but... it's still her first romantic relationship. Maybe Jinora takes risks but after a certain time of being together. Jinora is an introvert (as I am so I'm taking it on my point of view) so it makes her to be a little insecure about certain stuff she doesn't know about. Yes, she has grown strong and wise about her abilities and such but on the love field you have nothing for granted. I like to think that they are together to build something, to change them for the better.

So, my point is, I like to see it as Jinora taking the big first steps but not always. And not all of them.

Because Jinora and Kai can give each other all the trust they need.

Also: they might have different points of view about love but the thing is, at one point of their relationship, they get to see love as what they've learned about each other.

So, maybe the dynamic of this headcanon takes place at the beginning of their relationship (this is the point what I’m agree with) but they grow out of that. I don't know if it was soon but they do.

I think Jinora and Kai will love each other more than anything in the world, but their view on the relationship will be different because of the environments they were in as children. 

Jinora was always surrounded by love and commitment, so she views her relationship with Kai as ironclad. She’s willing to take risks, be open about everything, and have stupid fights and arguments without even worrying a little about losing him.

Kai, however, was usually alone and in bad situations, so he views his relationship with Jinora as really fragile. He’s afraid that he’ll lose her if he makes one wrong move, so he’s always really careful and nervous. He doesn’t like to rock the boat due to enjoying the calm and believing that leaving things the way they are is what will keep everything stable. 

So I can actually see Jinora taking all of the big steps. Initiating their first kiss, saying “I love you” first, and maybe even being the one to propose. Of course, he’s always along for the ride and thinks about these things way before Jinora makes the move, but he’s always worrying about the right time and fearing rejection. It also makes their whole dynamic even more interesting because Jinora is more introverted while Kai is extroverted.

This blog is going on hiatus. There are a lot of things that I need to do with my life, including college, and other stuff. Keeping a blog going is a big work and even though I didn’t even make edits anymore, I don’t have the time to dedicate to this.
