DPD culture is feeling like when you cut contact with your abusive ex dp a part of your soul stayed with them. I don't even truly miss them, I genuinely hate their guts. But it feels like something is missing, because this stupid asshole isn't around to subtly put me down anymore

Note
DPD culture is not being able to form an opinion on certain media until you watch a review on it or hear someone you know talk about it, and when you do form an opinion, hearing another person's opinion on it can cause your opinion to shift to that one instead.

dpd culture is fearing the future so much it makes you sick because of the prospect that you will lose everyone, and that one day you’ll have to look after yourself. but you know you can’t.

questioning avpd culture is wondering if you even really have it because you have friends, but all of them are online and you still put up thick walls between you and them let alone making friends in real life because everyone you meet in real life is disappointing. and it's not *that* bad right? sure you feel viscerally uncomfortable when you get complimented and you don't believe them anyway but you can go outside and hold conversations with people even though you rarely initiate and you try to end them as quickly as possible

Note
avpd culture is having a mutual that also has(/is questioning) avpd and finally understanding the concept of "the unbreakable bond between two mutuals who have never actually spoken" that other Tumblr users talk about solely because they also have avpd and Get It. but also both you and them to be in a stalemate because both of you are apparently thinking "this person is so cool and is obviously way cooler than me so i couldn't EVER try to talk to them (even though i want to)"

Ocpd culture is hating spontaneity but keep going back to it because obsessing over something having to be perfect is the worse option. It's a lose lose for a game I don't want to play

Note
avpd culture is thinking you had szpd and quiet bpd for the longest time, but it turns out you only believed that because for that entire time, you were around your [former] safe person (with the "szpd" being more prominent while they were still your safe person because you felt like you didn't need anyone else, and the "bpd" being more prominent when they were no longer your safe person but you were still talking to them, because the cycles you'd run yourself in of "i need them to love me again so i can feel safe" vs "i need to get away from them because they make me feel so desperately unsafe" got misinterpreted as splitting)
and then within days of cutting them off once and for all (because being around them was actively making your mental health worse), finding more information on avpd and going "ah. i see."
