the running bet is his wife, because he keeps forgetting to not leave his holy armor lying around everywhere
The paladin just received a prophecy that no man shall ever kill him. To his annoyance, the party is sitting around the campfire making guesses and creating scenarios on what will actually kill him and why.

relistening to no longer you and wondering like, do we think that tiresias has something like the cassandra syndrome where he HAS to be vague and spooky or is he just like that because he can be
like my guy you're 0 for 2 on greek heroes believing your prophecies, and like oedipus was dumb so you get a pass on that one, but odysseus is supposed to be really smart so do you think you want to maybe not talk in metaphors for thirty seconds it would really help your case

she has also decided that the particular audiobook she's listening to sounds like it's being narrated by jonathan sims, and you know what, maybe she's onto something with that particular crossover

Something about how the story starts with a song of hate and ends with a song of love. Something about how it starts with Odysseus killing a son, and ends with him saving one. Something about how Poseidon wrecks havock to avenge his hurt son, and how Odysseus does the same once his son is the one on the line, and how it shows that the gods are reflections of men and what they do. Something about Odysseus hurting two sons in the story, and protecting one. Something about Astyanax haunting him just as much as Polyphemus, and how Poseidon can be interpreted as Odysseus' own belief that he no longer deserves to come back home.
Something about Odysseus accepting that what he did to survive doesn’t define him, and that he still deserves to be loved.
Excuse me, I'm gonna cry in my corner.
