My boyfriend is triggered by Christmas and Christmas music. We were in a restaurant, and Christmas music was playing, and he started panicking so he went outside for a cigarette. The manager of the restaurant overheard him saying he had to get out, and changed the music over for the rest of the time we were there. There are safe spaces in the real world. People are nicer than you think. And bullshit people who try to tell you to get over your triggers, ain’t shit.

Vent:

I usually try to avoid politics on here because I need an escape from it, but I am just so lost right now. It is so horrifying to watch your entire field get gutted in a span of a month right before you graduate. When I chose my major, it had really good job prospects. Now, there is nothing. The companies aren't hiring, and universities are rescinding PhD offers because of the idiots in charge right now. I genuinely do not know what to do anymore. My field is just gone and I am about to graduate.

Not that anyone really cares, but I think I need to log off from here for a few days. My mental health has been in a very fragile state lately, and I think some time away from the internet is necessary for me to get myself to a place where I can get through the rest of this semester.
