Thought I'd share the Palestinian colors version of my MASK UP! poster 🍉😷🇵🇸 Thank you so much to everyone who shared and downloaded the FREE MASK UP! poster pack!

Hypothetically, you can print this on a risograph by download the design in separate color files and using red, black, and green, and it'll look basically like this mock-up. Let me know if you actually print it in any way, I'd love to hear more C:

We CAN take care of each other, and a better world is possible. If you're feeling alone and helpless, masking up with N95s/KN95s when around others, indoors AND outdoors, is a great place to start. Masking helps protect us from deadly pathogens (like viruses and smoke) PLUS it stymies police surveillance and makes events more accessible to disabled people. All our struggles against fascism and genocide are united, and Palestine will be free!

My partner @earnestattempts (Kimball Anderson) and I (Laurel Lynn Leake) are queer and disabled comics creators, and we want to share our work with you!

Hey everyone, heads up that cartoonist Abigail Zero has been cyberstalking and threatening me, my partner Kimball @earnestattempts, and our families for about a month. They've escalated things to outright blackmail and extortion, and spreading heinous lies about us to compromise our income as disabled people.

In the past you may have seen us trying to help them find housing, and vouching for Abigail as a roommate. Although we believe they have every right to safe housing as a human being, we can't vouch that they are a safe roommate any longer. We will never speak to them again or read their frequent abusive messages for our own safety - this warning was given to us by a friend who checks the messages for outright threats.

If you've receive any accusations about either me or Kimball, I strongly recommend you not engage and block. If you have any concerns about the contents of the messages or for your own safety, please feel free to reach out.

MASK UP FOR GLOBAL LIBERATION

Protect your community by wearing N95s and KN95s when meeting indoors or in crowds! The more of us mask up, the less we get sick, the harder it is for police to surveil us, and the safer we make our shared spaces for our disabled and immuno-compromised comrades and loved ones.

Get started by finding local mask resources on the global COVID Action Map (you can also submit groups to be added). If you have the means, donate masks and tests to your local orgs and encourage accessibility so we can ALL join the fight (bringing in interpreters/translators and medics, ensuring accessibility for wheelchairs/mobility devices, offering child care, filtering the air indoors, setting up virtual options etc).

UPDATE: Download this 8.5"x11" poster for free on itch.io to print and distribute! Includes files suitable for color, black and white, and risograph printing. Any donations will go to printing costs, or buying masks for my local mutual aid groups.

Hi there! Thank you so much for looking into our anthology...we put a lot of love into Queerotica and were really proud of how it turned out.

I'm sorry to say that it's currently out of print, but I'm planning on re-releasing it digitally soon! We ran into problems with multiple digital platforms not allowing "mature" work back in 2013, but hopefully Itch.io has better policies. I'll give you a holler when it's available again!

another close-up from one of my abstract collage projects, "Personal Questions", made mostly from paper scraps I scavenged from magazines and mail. The biggest wrinkliest chunk of grey-pink is actually rice paper I dyed with beet and tumeric juice I made from veggie peelings, haha. just remembered that last year I suddenly decided to try giving Bat from my Aesop's Fable-inspired comic "The Birds, The Beasts, and the Bat" more of a furry/anthro design....since they're more of a metaphorical "sometimes they look like a person with a cape, sometimes they look like a normal-sized bat" type of character.

but as you can see what actually resulted was me drawing: 1) Their humie form 2) A bunch of Hairy-Legged Vampire Bats, and 3) Two little bats wearing little pants.

New self-portrait (and icon)! I made this collage in the middle of a bunch of abstract ones, all from torn magazine scraps and bits of found paper trash. I used scissors for parts of this (like the glasses and nose) but tried to feature the torn edges, because I like em. Also because my collages are a way for me to avoid RSI stress from drawing or cutting, etc! This is the first (relatively) realistic self-portrait I've done in a while, and it was an interesting and often frustrating process. Self-image is weird! But I like how it came out in the end. Sort of like a painting with paper brushtrokes.

And I gave myself a removable 3M AURA N95 with my silicone Fix The Mask brace, because, why not! I mask every day to protect my high risk loved ones so it's a familiar sight in the mirror and fun to make a silly paper doll version to play collage dress up haha.

little peek at one of the abstract collages I made last year! I started doing these torn magazine scraps and found object collages when I couldn't stand not being able to draw because of RSI. The process of arranging all the bits of color and texture is mesmerizing, and I highly recommend it! Just trying to scan the old ones got me making more. Some day they'll be in a zine...
