The problem with sewing is that you quickly realise you have dumped lots of skill points into control thread and furthermore, there’s a lot of other hobbies that require control thread so you decide to pick up knitting, or crochet, or weaving, and then spinning happens to you, or rug making, or cord weaving, and then you turn the wrong corner on the internet and find out control thread also specs into basket weaving, and book binding, and then you’re thinking things like “I wonder if this also applies to lead climbing” and now you have A Problem

Pt. 3 Hand me down sweater repairs
This is a beautiful cashmere that was originally owned by my Dad. After a shrink in the wash and some holes it made its way to me. Darned the holes and fixed the neckline.

Pt 2. Hand me down sweater repairs. This one has the most holes and I tried a couple of different methods. I think the darning came out the best.

Pt. 1 Received these sweaters as a hand me down, they had lots of little holes but I forgot to take before pics. This one had a tiny hole in the back and blown out elbows. Darned to repair.

I've been having sensory issues with modern bras recently, so I've been looking to history for better options for me. I crochet this based on Regency Short Stays. Very light support, but it's very comfortable!

Absolutely gorgeous resources! Thank you for sharing!
Hey i’m a fashion design student so i have tons and tons of pdfs and docs with basic sewing techniques, pattern how-tos, and resources for fabric and trims. I’ve compiled it all into a shareable folder for anyone who wants to look into sewing and making their own clothing. I’ll be adding to this folder whenever i come across new resources

My dye pot claims it's next victims! Really interesting how the red lace fully refused to take any color.

I got a dye pot. Nothing can stop me now!

I hate white and cream, I look terrible in it and it's impossible to keep clean. Used Rit Dye in purple and navy blue mixed. Variety of fabrics lead to some interesting color differences. Really happy with the results!

This one went thru a couple phases. I liked the OG skirt, but it flapped open weirdly when I walked. I tried just patching the front but then I couldnt walk with my whole stride, and the shape felt very boring. Finally I chopped it and made the kick pleat! Really happy with how it came out!
