Why do people get so offended when people say things like "I hit pro shippers with my car"? I mean obviously they're not hitting or going to hit anyone so why are you so offended if it's all just pretend? Do you think their words have an impact, even though they're not actually hitting you with a car? Even if they're only pretending to? That even though it's fictional it still affects and hurts real people? So, you agree, fiction effects reality. And if you don't agree, it's obvious that fiction only affects reality when it's about you and what you agree with.

trying to be respectful and non-haterlike even when someone is very much just aggressively wrong is so painful sometimes. they say it costs nothing to be kind. but what if it costs me my sanity <3 <3 <3 oh i try so hard i try SO HARD

i try so hard to be like "hey...these headcanons are for fun, it doesn't matter, let it go" and not be a hater even when they are not even remotely accurate and when they severely water down the relationships between the characters so they can be more gimmicky but it's hard because they're never PITCHED as "this is for fun" everyone's like

"i think the show should ABSOLUTELY include:

(thing that would be remarkably out of nowhere)

(thing that is an oversimplification of a complicated nuanced relationship, but it needs to be sugarcoated and warped to make it more fanfic for no reason)

(thing that would break continuity)

(thing that says it would be a parallel but is really just a recycled scene from two other characters with two or three words changed)

(thing that's already been disproven)

(thing that has literally already happened verbatim between the characters they want it to happen to because apparently season five would be best utilized by literally just being season 2 part 2)

(thing that would be great! in a fanfiction. not in a tv show.)

(thing that just makes no sense even remotely because it's trying to insert the audience's lack of knowledge into the actual series as a thing the characters are experiencing even though the character see each other every day)

(thing that is just a blatant demonization/bastardization of a character. usually mike wheeler because byler tumblr hates mike for some reason)

(recycling something that was toxic in milkvan but for some reason it's byler now)
