Inumaki's POV:
I’ve been staring at the ceiling for what feels like hours now, and I don’t understand why I can’t sleep. I mean, I’ve always had issues with sleeping—insomnia’s been my constant companion for as long as I can remember—but I thought it was getting better. This past week, for the first time in years, I actually slept well. It was odd, sure, but I wasn’t complaining.
But tonight? Tonight, it’s back to the old ways.
Back to no sleep.
I sighed, running a hand through my hair as I glanced over at the clock.
4 a.m.
Great.
Should I even bother going to school later? Maybe I should just skip. But then… I wouldn’t see y/n.
Fuck.
The thought of not seeing her tomorrow... or today, technically... made my chest tighten in a way I didn’t want to think too much about. I let out another frustrated sigh and turned my head to look at my phone on the nightstand. For a moment, I just stared at it, my mind running through all the reasons why texting her at this hour would be a terrible idea.
She’s probably asleep. You’ll wake her up. She’ll think you’re being annoying. Just leave her alone.
But then again… what if she’s awake too? What if she’s thinking about me the way I’m thinking about her right now?
Before I could overthink it anymore, I grabbed my phone, my thumb hesitating over the keyboard. I typed out a message and stared at it for a second, debating whether or not to hit send.
This is stupid. She’s not awake. You’ll look like an idiot.
But my thumb pressed send before I could talk myself out of it.
Hey… you up?
I tossed my phone on the bed beside me and ran a hand over my face, already regretting it. But now all I could do was wait.
Honestly, I was kind of hoping she would respond. It’s not like I can sleep, so maybe talking to her would help. But at the same time… I kind of hope she doesn’t even see my message. Because… what if I’m being too much?
What if she sees it, rolls her eyes, and thinks I’m just some guy who can’t get a grip? Someone who’s bothering her at 4 a.m. for no reason?
I sighed, staring at the faint glow of my phone screen as it sat on the bed next to me. What was I expecting? That she’d magically be awake, texting back right away? And if she did… what would I even say?
Hey, I can’t stop thinking about you?
Yeah, right. That would go over well.
I shook my head, feeling the frustration bubble up in my chest. Why was she in my head so much? Why couldn’t I just… let it go? Ignore it? Pretend I wasn’t thinking about the way she looked at me earlier, or the way her voice shook just a little when she was mad?
I groaned softly, rolling over onto my side and staring at the phone again. One minute passed. Then another. The screen stayed dark, and the silence stretched on. Maybe this was for the best. Maybe it was better if she didn’t answer.
Because if she did… I wasn’t sure what I’d say next. Or worse, what I’d admit.
But then, to my surprise, my phone buzzed.
I blinked, staring at it for a moment as if I’d imagined the notification. The screen lit up, her name glowing back at me. My heart skipped a beat, and I hesitated before picking it up, as if seeing her response would somehow make this real.

"Actually, you know what Inumaki. I don't care. Do whatever you want I couldn't care less to be honest. So please just leave."
Lies. You don't even know what possessed you to say those things... You did care... in fact you cared way more than you liked. You just didn’t want to believe him. So you turned around and pushed against his chest, trying to create space between you.
“I said, leave,” you muttered, your voice shaky.
But Inumaki barely moved. Instead, he grabbed your wrist, pulling you back toward him. His grip was firm but not rough, the intensity in his gaze making your breath catch. “You think I’m going to just walk away when you won’t even hear me out?” His voice was deeper now, tinged with something darker, something possessive.
“Stop it,” you demanded, trying to yank your wrist free, but his hold tightened just slightly.
He leaned in, his breath warm against your ear as he whispered, “You’re mad because you care a little too much, don’t you?”
Your heart raced as he got closer, his body pressing into yours, leaving you no room to escape. His voice was low, teasing, dripping with confidence. “You don’t like it, do you? Seeing someone else close to me. You hate it.”
Your breath hitched, your chest tightening as you tried to pull away, but his grip stayed firm. His free hand came up to brace against the wall beside your head, trapping you completely. “Stop pretending.”
Your mind spun, the closeness overwhelming, the heat radiating between you two making it impossible to think clearly. “Toge... stop,” you muttered, but your voice was weak, flustered.
A slow, dangerous smirk spread across his face, and his eyes flickered with something possessive, something more than just frustration. “No. i'm not letting you go just yet.”
You tried to pull back again, but he stepped forward, his body pressing you against the wall. His voice dropped even lower, almost a growl. “You’re mine, Y/N. And I’m not letting anyone get in the way of that.”
His words sent a shiver down your spine, a mix of emotions swirling in your chest. The anger, the hurt—they were still there, but they were being drowned out by the intensity of his presence, the way he was looking at you like you were the only thing that mattered.
“You’re lying to yourself,” he whispered, his lips barely brushing your ear, teasing you with the closeness. “You're jealous, aren't you? You think I didn’t notice?”
“Stop,” you muttered, your voice shaky as you turned your face away from him.
“You want me to stop?” he murmured, his voice dripping with teasing dominance. “But you haven’t told me to let go. Why’s that, y/n?”
You swallowed hard, refusing to meet his gaze, but the heat in your cheeks betrayed you. You were flustered, your mind racing with conflicting emotions, but you couldn’t ignore the way he had you pinned, his body pressed so close to yours that you could feel the warmth radiating from him.
“I don’t care,” you whispered, though even you could hear how weak the lie sounded.
Inumaki smirked, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction. “Liar. You care. You wouldn’t be this upset if you didn’t.”
“Admit it. You don’t want anyone else touching me. You want me all to yourself.”
His words wrapped around you, teasing and confident, and you felt your resolve slipping. You couldn’t deny it anymore—the jealousy, the frustration, the way you cared more than you wanted to admit. And he knew it.
“I’m not letting anyone else have me. Not Alyssa, not anyone. Only you.”
"And you're mine y/n."
His hand cupped your chin, forcing you to meet his gaze, and no matter how hard you tried to look away, you couldn’t. The intensity in his eyes, the way his words seemed to wrap around you, made it impossible to think straight.
“Toge...,”
“Don’t,” he said softly, his thumb brushing lightly against your jaw. “Don’t say you don’t care. Don’t lie to me.”
"Admit it...”
You clenched your fists, your mind spinning. “No,” you whispered, your voice trembling. “You’re wrong.”
Inumaki’s smirk deepened, his eyes darkening with satisfaction. “Am I?” His hand began to move, sliding down from your face to your shoulder, and then slowly, teasingly, down your side.
Your heart raced as his hand slipped lower, grazing your waist.
“I don’t... I don’t want this...”
Lies. Lies. Lies. Lies. And he knew damn well you were lying.
Inumaki leaned back staring into your eyes, only inches away from your face. “You’re still lying to yourself, y/n.”
Inumaki’s gaze softened as he leaned in, his face just inches from yours, so close you could feel the warmth of his breath against your skin. Your heart raced, your mind growing hazy with each passing second. His eyes held you captive, intense and unwavering, and you felt every ounce of anger and frustration you’d been holding onto start to slip away.
Your breath hitched as you waited, anticipation filling the air between you. But just as you thought he might close the distance, his lips so close they nearly brushed yours, he paused. His eyes flashed with that familiar, teasing glint, and then, just like that, he pulled back, leaving you reeling from the unfulfilled closeness.
He stepped away, smirking in that infuriating way that made your heart race and your cheeks burn. Turning, he walked toward the window, his confidence radiating with each step. He threw a look over his shoulder, his expression knowing.
“Gotta wake up early for school tomorrow, yeah?” he said, his tone playful. “See you then.”
Without waiting for a response, he climbed out the window and left. You stood there, frozen, your heart still pounding as you heard the low rumble of his bike starting up. Moments later, he sped away, the sound fading into the distance, leaving you alone in the silence.
You released a breath you hadn’t realized you were holding. He’d left you there, heart racing, the unspoken words still caught in your throat. Frustration bubbled up inside you, a mix of anger and longing as you stared at the empty space where he’d been.
You shake your head as a bitter laugh escapes your lips.
"You little bitch."

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOGE INUMAKI <3
Tumblr media
“Survived the ride?”
You smirked, quickly pulling off your helmet. “Barely.”
“Not bad then”
You rolled your eyes, climbing off the bike. “I told you I could handle it.”
Inumaki nodded, still amused. “Yeah, you did.”
You just stood there, unsure of what came next.
“So,” you started, trying to sound casual despite the lingering energy between you, “is this the part where I walk back to my friends and pretend like everything’s normal?”
Inumaki’s eyes glinted with amusement. “Do you want it to be?”
You raised an eyebrow, feeling that spark of competitiveness return. “Not sure I do.”
He stepped a little closer, his gaze never leaving yours. “Then maybe we keep them guessing a little longer.”
“Guess we will.”
“Good.” He leaned in slightly, lowering his voice. “Let them wonder.”
You felt the familiar flutter in your chest but pushed it aside, giving him a quick, playful shove on the shoulder. “You’re impossible.”
He just grinned, unfazed by your teasing. “Wouldn’t be fun if I wasn’t.”
You laughed softly, shaking your head. “Alright, I’ll see you around,” you said, starting to walk away before turning back for one last look.
Inumaki watched you for a moment, his smirk softening into something more genuine. “Yeah,” he said quietly. “You will.”
Tumblr media
As you made your way back to where Nobara, Yuji, and Megumi were sitting, you couldn’t help but feel the weight of their stares. Nobara was the first to speak up, grinning like she already knew what had happened.
“Well, well, well,” she teased, leaning forward. “How was your little adventure?”
Yuji tried to hide his excitement, but it was all over his face. “Yeah, you gonna tell us where he took you, or do we have to keep guessing?”
Megumi just glanced at you with a knowing nod, clearly aware of the back-and-forth between you and Inumaki without needing to ask.
You shrugged, doing your best to act casual, though you could feel your heart still racing from everything. “It’s nothing. Just a ride. No big deal.”
Nobara raised an eyebrow, clearly not buying it. “Sure, just a ride,” she echoed, exchanging amused glances with Yuji.
You gave her a playful glare. “Seriously. That’s all.”
Yuji leaned back, still grinning. “If you say so.”
You sat down, trying to ignore the way your friends were looking at you, but your mind kept drifting back to Inumaki—his teasing, his smirk, and that moment where you thought he might’ve kissed you. Even though you hadn’t said it out loud, part of you knew that things between you two weren’t as simple as just a ride.
Nobara nudged you with her elbow, bringing you back to reality. “Hey, you’re blushing.”
You rolled your eyes, trying to brush it off. “Am not.”
She just laughed, clearly enjoying how flustered you were. “Whatever you say.”
You crossed your arms, leaning back in your chair as you tried to regain some composure. But even with all the teasing from your friends, you couldn’t help but smile to yourself. Let them guess. After all, it seemed like you and Inumaki had only just begun whatever this was.
Tumblr media
The past few days had been different. You and Inumaki were getting closer, spending more time together, and everything felt like it was moving in the right direction—until Alyssa, one of the popular girls, decided to stick her nose where it didn’t belong. Alyssa was the kind of girl who craved attention, always surrounded by a group of equally obnoxious friends, feeding off the admiration from everyone around her. She knew she was hot, and she used it to her advantage—flirting, posting suggestive photos, and constantly making it known that she was at the top of the social chain.
She wasn’t just popular; she was the kind of mean girl who lived for drama, using people like props to keep herself in the spotlight. You’d seen her flirt with Inumaki before, but it never really bothered you. That was just who she was—an attention-seeker, desperate to stay relevant. But today was different. Today, Alyssa had crossed a line.
It was lunchtime when your phone buzzed, pulling you out of the conversation with Nobara, Yuji, and Megumi. You glanced down and felt your heart sink. The school’s notorious Twitter drama page had posted a photo—of Inumaki and Alyssa.
In the picture, Alyssa was standing right next to him by his bike, leaning in as if she was kissing his cheek, but instead, it was the side of his helmet. The caption read: “Spotted! Is our mystery biker off the market? Alyssa sure seems close to him. 👀”
Your stomach dropped, a wave of anger and hurt crashing over you. How could he let this happen? You thought Inumaki and you were growing closer, but now you were staring at a picture of him and Alyssa—her, of all people—acting like they were something more. Alyssa’s smug, flirty pose made it worse, like she knew exactly what she was doing.
How could he let her get so close? The post made it look like they were a couple, and the worst part was that it felt believable. All this time, you thought there was something special between you and Inumaki, but now... did he even care? How could he do this? Did he like the attention? Was this what he wanted all along? The thought made your chest ache. You couldn’t believe he would let Alyssa—someone who lived for drama—kiss his helmet and let the whole school think they were together.
Maybe this was what he wanted all along. The idea twisted painfully in your stomach. What if you’d been misreading everything? What if all those moments you spent together—laughing, teasing, the almost-kiss—were just part of some game for him? What if you were just a placeholder for Alyssa?
You wanted to believe it was just a stupid photo, but the longer you looked at it, the harder it became to ignore. Was he using you? Maybe Inumaki had been playing you all this time, just waiting for the right moment to get with Alyssa—the hot, popular girl who thrived on attention. After all, she was the kind of girl everyone noticed, the kind that could easily draw someone in.
You clenched your phone, trying to push down the hurt, but it was impossible. The betrayal stung too much.
Was it all a lie...?
Nobara’s voice snapped you out of your thoughts. “Y/N, are you okay? You’ve been staring at your phone for like five minutes.”
You looked up, your face burning with a mix of hurt and embarrassment. “Yeah,” you muttered, forcing a smile. “Just... saw something.”
Yuji glanced at you, concerned. “You sure? You look kinda upset.”
You nodded, trying to hold it together, but the anger was simmering just beneath the surface. “I’m fine,” you lied, grabbing your bag and standing up quickly. “I just need some air.”
Before any of your friends could stop you, you walked out of the cafeteria, the weight of the photo and your suspicions pressing down on you. The thought of Inumaki and Alyssa being together, of him playing you this whole time, was too much to bear.
Tumblr media
You avoided Inumaki for the rest of the day, dodging his glances in class, ignoring his texts, and walking past him without so much as a word. He had no idea what was going on, and part of you was relieved. You didn’t want to face him—not when your mind was filled with thoughts of him and Alyssa, together, laughing at how easily they had fooled you.
After your last class, you grabbed your things and headed for the exit, keeping your head low. But as you stepped outside, you saw him—Inumaki, standing by his bike, waiting for you like he always did. His helmet dangled from his hand, and he looked up as soon as you walked out.
“Y/N!” he called out, his voice carrying over the crowd.
You quickened your pace, pretending not to hear him, but Inumaki wasn’t one to let things go so easily. He jogged after you, catching up quickly.
“What’s going on? Why are you ignoring me?” he asked, genuine confusion in his voice.
You stopped but didn’t turn to face him. “I don’t want to talk right now, Toge.”
Inumaki frowned, stepping closer. “Is this about something from class? Did something happen?”
You swallowed hard, keeping your back to him. “It’s not about class.”
“Then what is it?” His voice sounded more frustrated now, but there was still a hint of concern. “You’ve been avoiding me all day.”
Before you could answer, Yuji’s car pulled up in the parking lot. Relief washed over you. “I have to go,” you muttered, walking toward the car.
“Y/N, wait—” Inumaki started, reaching out for you, but you pulled away, not wanting to hear whatever excuse he had. You walked straight to the car, climbed into the passenger seat, and slammed the door shut.
Yuji glanced at you, clearly confused. “Uh, everything okay?”
You forced a nod, staring straight ahead. “Yeah. Let’s go.”
As Yuji pulled out of the lot, you caught a glimpse of Inumaki standing there, staring at you as you drove away, confusion and hurt written all over his face. You ignored the gnawing feeling in your chest, forcing yourself to believe that he had done this to you—that he had chosen Alyssa over you.
Yuji glanced over at you as he drove, his eyebrows furrowing with concern. “So... did something happen?”
You shifted uncomfortably in your seat, not wanting to talk about it. The last thing you needed was to break down in front of Yuji. You shook your head, keeping your eyes focused on the road ahead. “It’s nothing.”
Yuji wasn’t convinced. “Really? Because Inumaki always takes you home after school, and today you asked me. That doesn’t really scream ‘nothing,’ you know.”
His words hit you, making it harder to keep the walls up. You clenched your hands into fists on your lap, trying to stop the wave of emotions from spilling out. “It’s just... complicated, okay?”
Yuji hesitated for a moment, the air between you thick with unspoken tension. “Look,” he started slowly, “I saw the post. The one on the school’s drama page.” He kept his eyes on the road, his voice steady but gentle. “I didn’t want to bring it up because I figured if you wanted to talk about it, you would. But... you don’t have to pretend with me.”
You swallowed hard, your chest tightening. He’d seen it. Of course he hadeveryone probably had by now. And here you were, sitting next to one of your closest friends, who already knew everything but didn’t push you.
Your voice was small when you finally spoke. “You saw it?”
Yuji nodded, his expression soft but filled with concern. “Yeah. I didn’t want to believe it would upset you like this, but... I mean, I get it. If I were in your shoes, I’d be pissed too.”
You bit your lip, feeling the weight of everything pressing down on you. It felt like too much to hold inside. “It’s just... I thought I meant something to him, you know?” Your voice cracked slightly. “And then I see that, and... it feels like he doesn’t care at all.”
Yuji glanced over at you, his voice gentle. “Hey, I’m sure it’s not like that. You and Inumaki, there’s something there. I can see it. That post doesn’t change what you two have.”
You shook your head, tears stinging the corners of your eyes. “Then why didn’t he stop her, Yuji? Why did he let her do that? I don’t even know what’s real anymore.”
Yuji sighed softly, his grip tightening on the steering wheel. “I don’t know why he didn’t stop it... but I do know he wouldn’t do anything to hurt you on purpose.” He paused, his voice quieter. “Inumaki’s not that kind of guy.”
You didn’t respond, your chest tightening as you tried to swallow back the hurt. It was comforting to hear Yuji’s words, but it didn’t erase the betrayal you felt. The photo was burned into your mind, and it hurt to think that maybe you were wrong about Inumaki.
Why do I care? Why should I? I mean yeah i've been hanging out with him like everyday but we're just... friends. Nothing more...
So why...?
Why does it hurt...
After a few moments of silence, Yuji glanced at you again, his voice softer. “You know... it’s okay to feel hurt. But don’t let this one thing define everything. Maybe give him a chance to explain?”
You stayed silent, staring out the window, your thoughts racing. Yuji’s words made sense, but your emotions were still raw, still tangled. Could you even face Inumaki right now? And if you did, would it change anything?
Tumblr media
When you finally arrived home, Yuji pulled into the driveway and turned off the engine, glancing over at you. “If you need to talk... I’m here,” he said gently. “No pressure. Just... don’t bottle it all up, okay?”
You nodded, giving him a small, appreciative smile. “Thanks, Yuji. I... I just need to think right now.”
He smiled softly, understanding. “I get it. But don’t be a stranger, alright? We’ll hang out soon.”
You opened the door and stepped out, the cool air hitting your skin. As you made your way to the front door, you heard Yuji’s car pull away, but the weight of everything that had happened still lingered heavily on your shoulders.
You were just about to unlock the door when your phone buzzed in your pocket again. With a sigh, you pulled it out and saw another message from Inumaki.
Inumaki: Y/N, I really need to talk to you. Please.
You stared at the screen, your heart aching. You wanted to hear him out, but at the same time, the pain of that photo was too raw. The anger, the jealousy, the hurt—it all kept you from replying. You shoved your phone back into your pocket, ignoring the message again.
Tumblr media
Hours passed, and the night fell quietly around you. You had been tossing and turning in bed, unable to sleep as your mind replayed everything from the day. You couldn’t get the image of Inumaki and Alyssa out of your head, and every time you closed your eyes, the same questions surfaced. Why didn’t he stop her? Why didn’t he tell her off right away?
Suddenly, there was a soft knock on your window, making you freeze. Your heart skipped a beat, and you hesitated for a moment before cautiously walking over to check. When you pulled the curtains aside, your eyes widened in shock.
Inumaki was standing outside your window—on the small roof that jutted out beneath it. He looked up at you, balancing easily on the narrow ledge, his expression serious and determined.
Your heart raced as you quickly unlocked the window and slid it open, staring at him in disbelief. “Toge? What the hell are you doing? How did you even get up there?”
He glanced down at the roof and then back up at you, his voice low but calm. “I climbed up.. I needed to talk to you.”
You stared at him, still in shock. “You climbed up here? Are you crazy?” You quickly glanced around, nervous that someone might see him. “What are you doing?”
He sighed, running a hand through his hair, clearly frustrated. “I needed to talk to you. Can I come in? I don’t want to wake the neighbors.”
You hesitated, your mind still racing. Why did he come here like this? After a few seconds, you sighed, stepping back and waving him inside. “Fine. Just come in before someone sees you.”
Inumaki carefully climbed through the window, landing softly on the floor of your room. The tension between you two was immediate, his eyes locking onto yours as he stood there.
Your heart was still pounding as you watched him stand in your room, the weight of his presence making the small space feel even smaller. You couldn’t shake the shock of seeing him climb up to your window like that, but the simmering anger you had been holding onto all day was quick to return.
“You climbed up here in the middle of the night just to talk?” you asked, your voice sharp, trying to keep your emotions in check. “You couldn’t just text me?”
Inumaki took a step closer, his expression serious. “You weren’t answering. I didn’t know what else to do. I had to see you.”
“What do you want?” you muttered, turning away from him.
“I just want to talk,”
“Well, I don’t want to talk to you.”
“Y/N, please. I don’t know why you’re so mad, but I need to explain—”
“I don’t want to hear what you have to say!” you cut him off, spinning around to face him, anger flaring up in your chest. “I don’t care about your explanations. I don’t want to talk to you right now, Toge!”
Inumaki’s eyes widened slightly, caught off guard by your sudden outburst. “You’re not even giving me a chance to explain—”
“Because I don’t want to listen!” you snapped, taking a step back. “I don’t want to hear your excuses. I don’t care about anything you have to say!”
He took a deep breath, clearly struggling to keep calm, but his frustration was building. “Y/N, I didn’t—”
“Just stop. I said I don’t want to hear it!” You turned away again, your arms still crossed tightly as if you were trying to keep everything from spilling out. “Actually... just leave, Inumaki. I don’t want to deal with this.”
Inumaki stepped closer, his voice low and pleading. “Please, Y/N. Just let me explain. It’s not what you think.”
“God. I don’t care!” you shouted, spinning back around, your eyes burning with frustration. “I don’t care about what you have to say. You let Alyssa kiss your helmet. You let her act like you’re together, and now the whole school thinks you two have something going on!”
The words tumbled out of your mouth, each one sharper than the last. Inumaki took off his mask for the first time since the night you spent together, and you could see this jaw tighten, his hands balling into fists at his sides. The tension between you was unbearable.
“I didn’t let her do anything!” he suddenly shouted, his voice ringing out in the quiet room, startling you. “It caught me off guard! I didn’t want her to kiss my helmet—I told her off right after!”
You froze, the force of his words catching you off guard. His eyes were blazing with frustration and something else—something deeper. You had never seen him like this before, so angry, so desperate to make you understand. But the hurt inside you was still too fresh.
“You expect me to believe that?” you spat, your voice shaking with a mix of hurt and fury. “You stood there, and you let her get close to you. You didn’t push her away. You let her make a fool out of me!”
He ran a hand through his hair, clearly exasperated. “I didn’t let her make a fool out of you! I didn’t even see it coming, Y/N. She just—did it.”
You turned away, trying to distance yourself from him, your emotions threatening to overwhelm you. “I don’t want to hear it,” you muttered. “I just want you to leave.”
Inumaki stepped forward, his hand reaching your bare shoulder. “I’m not leaving. I told you, I didn’t want her to do it. I care about you, not her.”
You shook your head, refusing to look at him. “Then why didn’t you stop her? Why didn’t you tell me afterward? I had to find out from some stupid Twitter post.”
“I should have told you,” Inumaki admitted, his voice softer but still filled with frustration. “But I didn’t think she’d turn it into this whole thing. I didn’t want to make it a big deal because it didn’t mean anything. She means nothing to me, Y/N. You do.”
His words made your heart ache, but you were still too angry to let them sink in. “How can I believe you after what I saw?” you whispered, your voice barely audible.
He stepped closer, moving your hair to the side, his breath hitting the back of your neck. “Because I’m telling you the truth. I would never let anyone come between us. Not her, not anyone.”
He runs his hand down your shoulder to your arm and back up slowly.
"Actually... you know what Inumaki..."

WRITTEN PORTION:
As you and Inumaki pulled up to campus and got off his bike, you could feel the weight of people’s gazes on you immediately. Students were blatantly staring, some pretending to scroll on their phones, while others whispered to each other as you passed by. The attention was unnerving, and you found yourself gripping the straps of your backpack a little tighter.
“Why are people staring at us?” you asked under your breath, your voice tinged with confusion as you glanced around.
Inumaki didn’t respond right away. He calmly continued walking and without a word, he pulled out his phone, the faint glow of the screen illuminating his face beneath his helmet.
You watched him for a moment, curious, before his expression shifted—something between amusement and annoyance flickered in his eyes. He tilted his phone in your direction, showing you what he’d just found.
It was a tweet from the university’s notorious campus account:
@CursedUser was seen pulling up to campus with a mystery girl. Who is she?....
Your stomach dropped when you saw the attached photo—clear as day, it was you and Inumaki, as soon as you got off the bike, which was not even 2 minutes ago. “Oh my god, did someone seriously take a picture of us and post it?!” you exclaimed, your voice rising in disbelief.
Inumaki shrugged nonchalantly, his body language showing he wasn’t too bothered by it. “Looks like it,” he said casually, his voice muffled slightly through his helmet.
You grabbed your own phone, your fingers moving faster than your thoughts as you clicked on the tweet. Curiosity got the better of you, and you tapped on the account that had been tagged in the tweet: @CursedUser.
What you saw next made your jaw drop. The follower count next to his handle was in the millions. Videos of Inumaki riding his bike, doing stunts, and even casually talking to his followers filled the page. You scrolled in disbelief, each post racking up thousands of likes and comments.
Your eyes widened as the realization hit you, you stopped in your tracks and you looked back at him in shock. “Wait… you're famous?! A famous biker?!”
Inumaki chuckled, clearly amused by your reaction. “I guess you could say that,” he replied, his tone casual as ever.
You stared at him, still processing everything. “How did I not know this? You have, like, millions of followers!”
He gave a small shrug. “I don’t really bring it up. It’s just a hobby that got popular.”
You blinked, your thoughts racing. “A hobby?! People take pictures of you, and you have a huge following on TikTok and Instagram… that’s not just a hobby, Inumaki, that’s a thing!”
He gave you a relaxed smile. “It’s no big deal.”
You, on the other hand, were far from calm. “No big deal? People are staring at us, taking pictures of us! People think we’re dating—and some girls are literally mad that you’re with me! Oh my god, we’re not even—” You cut yourself off, the words stumbling out faster than you could think.
Inumaki's expression softened as he watched you freak out. His smile faded, but there was a gentle amusement in his eyes. “Relax,” he said calmly. “They love making things up. It’s just rumors.”
You huffed, still not fully believing it. “Yeah, but people are mad, Toge! I didn’t sign up for this kind of attention. I didn’t even know you were, like, famous on social media!”
Inumaki smiled sheepishly. “It’s not a big deal, seriously. I don’t really mention it because, well, I don’t care about all that.” He shrugged like it was the simplest thing in the world.
“But people think we’re together! That’s…” you trailed off, glancing around as you noticed more eyes on the two of you, whispering. “This is so weird...”
He stepped closer, his expression softening as he met your eyes. “Look, if it’s bothering you, I can clear it up. I’ll tell people we’re just friends, and they’ll stop talking.”
You hesitated, feeling an odd pang at the thought of him saying you were just friends. But that’s all you were, right? Just friends.
“Yeah… maybe,” you replied quietly, your heart betraying the calm tone you were trying to keep. “I just… need a second to process this.”
Inumaki nodded, his gaze steady and reassuring. “Take your time. But nothing’s changed between us, okay? We’re still just us.”
You nodded slowly, trying to take in everything he said, but your thoughts were still racing. The idea of being the center of attention because of Toge’s popularity was overwhelming. The whispers around you felt louder now, and you couldn’t shake the weight of people watching your every move.
“But it’s not just us,” you muttered, glancing around at the students who were still sneaking glances. “It feels like the entire campus is waiting for us to do something… or for you to confirm something.”
Inumaki followed your gaze, his eyes narrowing slightly as he noticed the attention. “Let them talk. They’re not worth stressing over,” he said, his voice calm and steady.
You sighed, biting your lip as you tried to shake off the anxiety building up inside you. “It’s easy for you to say that. You’re used to it. But this is… new for me.”
He took a step closer, and suddenly you felt the warmth of his presence a little more than usual. His hand hovered near your arm, as if he was about to reach out but hesitated. “I get it,” he said softly. “It’s a lot. I know. But I meant what I said earlier—I don’t care what they think. I just care about spending time with you.”
Your heart did a strange flip at his words, and for a second, you couldn’t look at him. The weight of his gaze was too much, and it made your pulse race. “I… I know,” you murmured, trying to sound casual, but the flutter in your chest made it hard to keep your voice steady.
There was a brief, tense silence between the two of you. The noise of the campus around you faded into the background as your focus narrowed on the way his eyes softened when he looked at you. You weren’t sure if it was just your imagination, but something in the air between you shifted—like there was more to his words than he was letting on.
Finally, you broke the silence, your voice quieter than before. “Do you think… maybe we should let them think what they want? Like, not deny it?”
Inumaki raised an eyebrow, surprised by your question. “What do you mean?”
You hesitated, feeling your cheeks warm slightly. Thank god you still had your helmet on. “I mean, if people are going to make assumptions, maybe it’s easier to just… let them. We don’t have to explain ourselves.”
His gaze locked on yours, and for a moment, you could see a flicker of something deeper in his eyes. “So, you’re saying we just go along with it?”
You shrugged, trying to play it off. “I don’t know… maybe? It’s better than denying it and making it a bigger deal, right?”
Inumaki’s lips quirked up into a small smile, but there was a serious edge to his expression. “If that’s what you want, I’m fine with it.”
Your heart skipped a beat at his words. You didn’t know why, but the idea of people assuming you were together… didn’t seem as bad as you thought it would. Maybe part of you wasn’t as against the idea as you had convinced yourself to be.
“Yeah, let’s just… leave it. Let them think what they want,” you finally said, your voice barely above a whisper.
Inumaki’s smile widened just a bit, his eyes glinting with that familiar warmth. “Alright. We’ll do that then.”
You stood there for a moment longer, feeling the weight of an unspoken understanding settle between the two of you. Whatever this was, you weren’t ready to define it—but maybe, just maybe, you were okay with letting things unfold in their own time.
“Come on. We don’t want to be late for class,” he said, his tone casual again, though the warmth in his eyes lingered.
You nodded, falling into step beside him as the two of you made your way through the campus. The whispers and glances were still there, but with Inumaki next to you, they seemed to fade into the background. You tried to shake off the nervous energy from earlier and focus on the fact that, for now, things were back to normal—or as normal as they could be.
Tumblr media
When you entered the classroom, you noticed a few heads turn your way, but no one said anything outright. You glanced at Inumaki, and he gave you a small nod as if to say, “Ignore it.” You took a deep breath and followed him to your usual spot.
As you sat down next to him, you couldn’t help but feel a strange sense of comfort. Even though you were still hyper-aware of the attention on you, sitting beside him felt natural, like you didn’t have to explain yourself to anyone.
He didn’t seem to care about the attention, and his calm presence grounded you in a way you hadn’t expected.
Before you knew it, the class ended, and the day moved on.
Tumblr media
By the time lunch rolled around, you and Inumaki had parted ways to meet up with your separate friend groups. You spotted Nobara waving you over to a table in the courtyard where Megumi and Yuji were already sitting, deep in conversation.
“Y/N! Over here!” Nobara called, waving enthusiastically as you made your way over.
You smiled, grateful to see your friends and eager to distract yourself from the whirlwind of emotions you’d been dealing with all morning. As you sat down, Nobara gave you a curious look. “So, what’s this I hear about you arriving with a certain mystery biker this morning?”
Megumi raised an eyebrow but didn’t say anything, while Yuji’s eyes lit up with curiosity. “Yeah, we saw it on twitter and heard some people talking about it. You and Inumaki?” he asked, his tone teasing.
You felt your cheeks flush. “Shhh!” You quickly shut his mouth with your hand, looking around to make sure no one was listening. “Don’t say his name out loud,” you whispered, panicking slightly.
Yuji blinked, surprised by your reaction but still grinning behind your hand. “Okay, okay!” he mumbled.
You pulled your hand away, feeling the heat rise to your face as you tried to play it off. “It’s nothing. We just… came to school together.”
Nobara narrowed her eyes playfully. “Uh-huh. And that’s why everyone’s talking about how you’re the ‘mystery girl’ Inumaki showed up with? Seems like more than just a ride to school to me.”
You sighed, feeling the familiar nervousness creeping up again. “People are making it into a bigger deal than it is.”
Yuji, still amused, chuckled softly. “Well, for what it’s worth, I think it’s kind of cool. The mysterious biker has a mystery girl now.”
You groaned, putting your head in your hands. “Not you too, Yuji…”
Nobara smirked, leaning in closer. “Come on, Y/N, spill. What’s really going on between you and Inumaki? There’s no way it’s just a coincidence you two showed up together like that.”
You groaned again, feeling cornered. “There’s nothing going on, seriously! He just gave me a ride. That’s it.”
Megumi, who had been quietly observing the conversation, finally spoke up. “You do realize people love a good mystery, right? And Inumaki’s whole ‘nobody knows who he really is’ thing makes it worse. People are gonna speculate.”
“Exactly!” Nobara chimed in, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. “He’s already the mysterious, hot biker, and now you’re suddenly the girl he’s been spotted with. Of course, everyone’s going to jump to conclusions.”
You sighed, feeling the pressure mount. “Yeah, well, that’s their problem, not mine. I didn’t ask for this attention.”
Yuji gave you a sympathetic look, though his grin never faded. “If it’s bothering you that much, maybe just talk to him about it.”
You paused, unsure how to respond. Sure, you and Inumaki had briefly discussed letting the rumors slide, but you couldn’t help but wonder if that was the right call. Was it better to clear things up and risk making it worse, or just let everyone believe whatever they wanted?
Nobara’s voice snapped you out of your thoughts. “So, what’s he like? I mean, you’ve spent more time with him than any of us. Is he as mysterious as people say?”
You hesitated for a moment, thinking back to the quiet moments you’d shared with Inumaki. Despite his popularity and the aura of mystery surrounding him, he had always been kind, laid-back, and… comforting. You realized you hadn’t even seen him as the “mysterious biker” that everyone else seemed obsessed with. To you, he was just… Toge.
“He’s… nice,” you said, feeling the warmth rise to your cheeks again. “He doesn’t care about all the attention. It’s not really his thing. He just likes to ride.”
Nobara raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued by your answer. “Huh. So he’s not all about the hype?”
“Nope,” you replied, shaking your head. “He’s super chill about everything.”
Yuji leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms with a thoughtful expression. “That makes sense. I mean, he always gives off that ‘doesn’t care about anything’ vibe. Guess that’s part of what makes him so cool.”
Nobara suddenly leaned in, her eyes gleaming mischievously. “So, does he ever take the mask off when you’re alone?”
Your eyes widened at the question, and you felt your face go bright red. “N-Nobara! That’s not—he—” you stammered, flustered.
Nobara laughed, enjoying your reaction. “Just messing with you! But seriously, if you do get a peek, you better tell us.”
You buried your face in your hands again, groaning. “You guys are impossible…”
Here’s the revised version with Inumaki entering the scene and teasing Y/N:
You buried your face in your hands again, groaning. “You guys are impossible…”
Before anyone could say more, you felt a familiar presence behind you, and the hairs on the back of your neck stood up. Slowly, you peeked through your fingers and froze.
Inumaki stood behind you, his helmet still on, casually holding another helmet in his hand. He tilted his head slightly as if he had heard enough of the conversation to get the gist of it.
“Talking about me, Y/N?” he teased, his voice muffled slightly through the helmet.
Your entire body stiffened as your face turned an even deeper shade of red. You couldn’t bring yourself to turn around and face him, so instead, you stared straight into Nobara’s eyes, silently pleading for her to not make things worse.
Nobara, of course, couldn’t resist. She smirked at Yuji, who was desperately trying to hold in his laughter, covering his mouth with his hand to keep from bursting out.
Megumi, ever the calm one, simply gave Inumaki a nod in greeting, acknowledging his presence without any fuss.
Inumaki shifted slightly, leaning down a bit as he continued to tease. “Didn’t know I was such a hot topic today,” he said lightly, his voice filled with amusement.
You finally turned around, your cheeks still burning. “We were just… talking,” you mumbled, your voice barely above a whisper.
Nobara, ever the instigator, grinned. “Oh, we were definitely talking about you, Inumaki. Y/N here was just telling us how ‘nice’ you are.”
You shot Nobara a glare, silently begging her to stop, but she just smirked in response. Inumaki, however, chuckled lightly under his helmet.
“Mind if I steal Y/N for a bit?” he asked, his tone still casual, but there was a hint of something more beneath it.
Nobara raised an eyebrow, her smirk widening. “Steal her away, huh? I mean, go ahead, but don’t keep her too long,” she teased, making you feel even more flustered.
Megumi just shrugged, while Yuji’s eyes lit up with amusement. “Yeah, sure, take her,” he said, barely able to suppress his laughter.
numaki glanced down at you and nodded toward the spare helmet in his hand. “Come on,” he said softly.
You hesitated for a moment, but eventually pushed your chair back and stood, feeling the weight of your friends' eyes on you. Nobara, Yuji, and Megumi watched intently, curiosity and amusement clear on their faces.
Inumaki held the helmet up, then gently placed it on your head. You felt a flutter in your stomach as his fingers brushed your hair back, making sure the helmet fit snugly. He adjusted it with care, his movements calm and steady.
Your cheeks burned as you stood there, trying to keep your cool while your friends watched everything unfold. Nobara’s grin was practically ear-to-ear, and Yuji looked like he was holding back another laugh. Even Megumi glanced between you and Inumaki with a knowing look.
Once the helmet was on, Inumaki’s fingers found the straps under your chin, and he leaned in slightly, securing the buckle with ease. His face was close enough that you could see the focus in his eyes, and the warmth of his touch made your heart race even faster.
“There,” he said, stepping back slightly. “All set.”
You swallowed hard, feeling completely flustered under the weight of his gaze and the situation.
Nobara broke the silence first, her grin widening. “Well, look at that. Personal service.”
Yuji finally let out a chuckle, shaking his head. “VIP treatment for Y/N, huh?”
You could only glance down at the ground, too embarrassed to say anything as Inumaki’s calm, steady presence lingered next to you.
“Ready to go?” he asked, his voice soft but teasing.
You nodded, too flustered to say much more. Inumaki gently placed a hand on your back, guiding you away from the table toward his bike, leaving your friends behind, who were now sharing amused glances and whispers.
You followed him toward his bike, trying your best to calm the flurry of emotions that were racing through you.
When you reached his bike, Inumaki glanced back at you. “Hop on,” he said, giving you a small nod as he mounted the bike himself.
You hesitated for a second, but then climbed onto the back, settling in behind him. The helmet was secure, but your heart was still racing—not from nerves this time, but from the fact that you were holding onto him again, your arms instinctively wrapping around his waist.
Inumaki turned his head slightly, glancing at you over his shoulder. “You good?”
You nodded, though you weren’t sure if it was the ride that had your stomach in knots or the closeness you now felt. “Yeah, I’m good,” you managed to say, your voice a little muffled by the helmet.
“Where are you taking me?”
Inumaki tilted his head slightly again, the hint of a playful smile in his eyes. “Just wait and see,” he replied, his voice soft yet teasing.
He turned his attention back to the bike. He started the engine with a smooth, practiced motion, the sound rumbling beneath you. With a quick flick of his hand, he shut his visor down, and without another word, he took off, the bike surging forward as you held on tight.
After a few more minutes, Inumaki slowed the bike, eventually pulling into a quiet park on the edge of town. He guided the bike to a stop near a small clearing, surrounded by tall trees and a few scattered benches. The sound of the engine faded, leaving only the soft rustling of leaves in the breeze.
Inumaki sat still for a moment, then flipped up his visor and glanced back at you. “What do you think?” he asked, his voice calm but with a hint of curiosity.
You pulled off your helmet, taking a deep breath of the fresh air as you looked around. It was peaceful here, a welcome change from the noise and attention of earlier. “It’s perfect,” you said, smiling softly as you met his eyes.
He nodded, seeming satisfied with your response, both getting off the bike and taking off your helmets.
“Enjoy the ride?” he asked, a hint of teasing in his tone.
You smirked and nodded. “Not bad. Could’ve used a little more speed, though.”
He chuckled, his voice low. “I didn’t think you could handle more than that.”
You raised an eyebrow at him. “You don’t think I can handle it? Please.”
Inumaki tilted his head, clearly enjoying this back-and-forth. “Oh yeah? Think you can keep up with me?”
“Easily,” you shot back, crossing your arms, feeling a boldness creep into your voice. “In fact, maybe next time I’ll drive.”
He laughed, a smooth sound that made your stomach flutter a bit. “I’d love to see that,” he said, his eyes lingering on yours for a moment longer before he pushed off the bike and stood in front of you, his presence close and warm.
You felt your heart skip slightly at the proximity, but you refused to back down. “I’ll show you one of these days,” you said with a smirk, holding his gaze. “Then we’ll see who’s really got the skills.”
Inumaki stepped even closer, his voice dropping to a low, teasing tone. “I like the confidence,” he said, his eyes flicking over your face for a moment before he added, “but I’m not so sure you can back it up.”
You swallowed, feeling the heat rise to your face but not willing to let him win that easily. “Is that a challenge, Inumaki?”
“Depends. You up for it?”
“Always.”
He chuckled again, his eyes glinting with amusement as he leaned back just slightly. “Guess we’ll see.”
There was a moment of charged silence between you, the playful energy lingering in the air as you stood there. You were caught somewhere between wanting to push the teasing further and trying to figure out how to keep your cool around him.
Finally, you broke the silence with a playful nudge to his shoulder. “What’s with the sudden interest in stealing me away, anyway? You got bored with your fan club?”
Inumaki raised an eyebrow, clearly entertained. “What can I say? Maybe I just wanted to spend time with you.”
His words, though casual, made your heart flutter. You tried to brush it off, keeping the teasing going. “Could’ve just asked, you know.”
“I didn’t think you’d mind me stealing you for a bit.”
“Maybe I do.”
Inumaki’s smirk widened as he leaned in just a little closer, the teasing glint in his eyes more obvious now. “Maybe you do? Sounds like you’re not sure.”
You rolled your eyes playfully, refusing to let him win so easily. “Oh, I’m sure,” you shot back, feeling your pulse race under the intensity of his gaze. “But I think you’re the one who’s a little too confident.”
Inumaki raised an eyebrow, clearly enjoying this. “Confident? Nah." He leaned back slightly, his smirk never fading. “You’re not as tough as you act.”
“You think I’m not tough? You must not know me at all.”
He chuckled, shaking his head slightly. “Oh, I know you,” he said, his voice dropping a bit. “That’s why I know you’re bluffing.”
“Bluffing, huh? You’re really underestimating me, Inumaki.”
“Maybe. Or maybe you’re just all talk.”
You felt a surge of competitiveness rise in you, and you stepped a little closer, matching his energy. “Careful, Toge,” you said, your voice low but teasing. “You might not like what happens if you keep testing me.”
His smile widened, clearly liking where this was going. “I don’t know,” he said, his voice equally soft and teasing. “I think I’d enjoy it.”
The playful tension between you two hung in the air, and for a moment, it felt like a game—both of you pushing and pulling, seeing who would crack first. You weren’t about to let him win that easily, though.
You crossed your arms, feeling the spark of competitive energy between you two. “You sound awfully sure of yourself,” you teased, raising an eyebrow. “I’m starting to think you enjoy pushing my buttons.”
Inumaki chuckled softly, stepping just a little closer again. “Maybe I do. You make it fun.”
You scoffed, trying to hide how flustered you were. “Fun? You haven’t seen anything yet.”
He tilted his head slightly, his eyes gleaming with mischief. “Oh? So what exactly am I in for?”
“Wouldn’t you like to know?”
“I think I already do.”
His words sent a wave of heat through you, and you had to fight to keep your composure. You were determined to stay in control of the situation, no matter how much he was testing you.
“Don’t get too ahead of yourself,” you shot back, tilting your head in mock defiance. “I’m full of surprises.”
Inumaki grinned, clearly enjoying the banter. “Is that so? Guess I’ll have to stick around and find out.”
You tried to keep your cool, but the way his eyes were fixed on you, the playful tension hanging between you, made it hard to focus on anything else. “Well,” you said with a smirk, “good luck with that.”
His smirk deepened, as if he had already won this round. “I don’t need luck,” he replied smoothly. “I’ve got you figured out.”
“Oh really? You think you’ve got me all figured out?”
Inumaki didn’t back down, stepping even closer, the space between you practically nonexistent now. His eyes flickered with something more as he replied, “Yeah. I do.”
His smirk softened as he leaned in even closer, his eyes focused on yours. For a split second, your breath caught in your throat as he closed the space between you, and your heart pounded in your chest.
His face was so close now, you could feel the warmth radiating from him. It was almost as if he was going to—
But just before his lips could brush yours, Inumaki stopped, that teasing smirk returning to his face as he lingered there, leaving you hanging. His eyes glinted with amusement as he stayed close, clearly enjoying the effect he had on you.
“Got you,” he whispered, his voice low and teasing, pulling back slightly but not enough to give you any real distance.
You let out a breath you didn’t realize you were holding, your face burning with heat. You narrowed your eyes, trying to recover quickly. “Really? You’re going to play like that?”
Inumaki chuckled softly, stepping back just a little more, his smirk widening. “What can I say? I like to keep things interesting.”
“You think you’re so smooth, don’t you?”
He tilted his head slightly, shrugging in that casual, confident way. “I don’t think,” he teased. “I know.”
“Yeah, well… you’re not as clever as you think.”
“Oh? And here I thought you liked a little challenge.”
“I do,” you shot back, your voice steady as you met his gaze head-on. “But I’m not the only one getting challenged here, am I?”
Inumaki’s smirk softened into something more playful, his eyes never leaving yours. “Maybe not,” he admitted, his tone still teasing but with a hint of something else. “But I’m enjoying it. It’s kinda fun watching you try to figure me out.”
“You think I’ll just keep playing along?”
“I think you’re enjoying it more than you’re letting on.”
You scoffed, though you couldn’t hide the slight smile creeping onto your lips. “Don’t flatter yourself. I can walk away anytime.”
"Yet you’re still here.”
He gave you one last playful look before turning toward his bike. “Come on. Let’s head back before we give them something else to talk about.”
You hesitated for a second, still feeling the buzz from the almost-kiss, before following him to the bike. As you climbed on behind him, you couldn’t help but wonder if this teasing game was just that—or if there was something more...

You drove around together for another fifteen minutes, the city lights becoming a blur as you got lost in the ride. Finally, he guided the bike to a stop at an outdoor parking garage, driving all the way to the roof. As you arrived, you noticed it was completely empty, the perfect quiet spot. But that wasn’t the reason he brought you here. As you dismounted the bike and looked out, you understood—he wanted to share with you the stunning panoramic view of the city, the skyline glittering like a sea of stars against the dark canvas of the night. It was a sight that took your breath away all over again.
You both took off your helmets, setting them down carefully on the bike before making your way to the ledge, where the roof extended just a bit, creating a safe spot to sit with the floor of the parking garage right beneath you. The cool night air brushed against your faces as you settled down, you sat side by side, legs dangling over the edge. With the city lights twinkling around you, it felt like the world had paused just for the two of you, creating a moment that was as serene as it was unforgettable.
Minutes turned into hours as you found yourself completely engrossed in conversation with Inumaki. The words flowed effortlessly between you, each exchange filled with laughter, deep insights, and a growing sense of genuine connection. The city lights below seemed to dance in time with your dialogue, making the night feel almost magical.
“So, you’re telling me you’ve never been to an amusement park?” Inumaki asked, his eyes wide with disbelief as he leaned a bit closer, clearly amused by your confession.
“Nope, never had the chance,” you replied with a casual shrug, a smile tugging at your lips. “My family wasn’t really into that sort of thing. We were more about quiet weekends at home.”
Inumaki shook his head in mock disappointment. “That’s a tragedy. You have to experience the thrill of a roller coaster at least once. The rush, the fear, the way your stomach drops—it’s unforgettable.”
You laughed, feeling a warmth in your chest at his enthusiasm. “I don’t know if I’m brave enough for all that. Maybe the carousel is more my speed.”
“Carousel?” he repeated, pretending to be horrified. “No way. We’re going all out. I’m dragging you onto the biggest, scariest ride in the park. You’ll thank me later, I promise.”
You rolled your eyes, still smiling. “I’ll consider it. But only if you don’t laugh at me when I scream my head off.”
He grinned, clearly enjoying the banter. “Deal. But I can’t promise I won’t be laughing on the inside.”
The conversation shifted seamlessly from amusement parks to childhood memories.
“Did you have any pets growing up?” he asked, his tone softening.
“Yeah, we had a golden retriever named Max. He was the sweetest dog ever. Always there when I needed a cuddle, especially after a bad day,” you reminisced, the fondness clear in your voice. “What about you?”
Inumaki nodded, a small smile tugging at his lips. “We had a cat, Momo. She was the queen of the house. Independent, a bit sassy, but she’d curl up on my lap whenever I was upset. It’s like she just knew.”
You nodded, understanding the bond that pets could create. “It’s funny how they can sense when we need them the most, isn’t it?”
“Yeah, it really is,” he agreed, a thoughtful look crossing his face before he shifted the topic again. “So, what’s the wildest thing on your bucket list?”
You chuckled, slightly embarrassed to reveal it. “Honestly? I’ve always wanted to go skydiving. It’s terrifying, but I feel like it’d be the ultimate rush.”
His eyes lit up with surprise and admiration. “Skydiving? That’s intense! I wouldn’t have pegged you for an adrenaline junkie.”
You laughed, shaking your head. “I wouldn’t call myself that. It’s just something I want to do once, you know? Prove to myself that I can face my fears.”
He nodded, clearly impressed. “I get that. It’s like a way of pushing your limits. I’m not sure I’d have the guts to jump out of a plane, though.”
“Oh, come on,” you teased. “You’re dragging me onto roller coasters, but you’re scared of skydiving?”
He chuckled, raising his hands in mock surrender. “Okay, fair point. Maybe we’ll both conquer our fears together.”
The conversation flowed easily as you talked about dreams for the future, random thoughts that popped into your minds, and even shared some embarrassing stories that had you both laughing until your sides hurt.
“I can’t believe I’m telling you this,” you said between laughs, recounting a particularly mortifying moment from high school. “But it’s one of those things you look back on and just have to laugh at.”
Inumaki was still laughing, wiping a tear from the corner of his eye. “That’s priceless. I had a similar moment in middle school when I tried to impress a girl by joining the school talent show. Let’s just say my magic trick didn’t go as planned.”
You gasped, eager to hear more. “What happened?”
“I accidentally revealed the trick’s secret in front of everyone,” he confessed, shaking his head with a smile. “The worst part? The girl I was trying to impress was in the front row. She never let me live it down.”
You both burst into laughter again, the shared stories only deepening the connection between you. The world around you seemed to fade away, leaving just the two of you, caught up in the moment.
It wasn’t until you both instinctively glanced down at your phones that you realized how much time had passed. The soft glow of the screens revealed the time—midnight. Startled, you exchanged surprised looks.
“Midnight already?” you murmured, a bit incredulous.
Inumaki smiled softly, a hint of surprise in his voice too. “Guess time really does fly when you’re having fun. Feels like we just got here.”
You nodded in agreement, feeling a bit of disbelief at how quickly the night had flown by, but also a warm contentment in the connection you had shared.
“Oh, I almost forgot! I brought us some chocolate,” you exclaimed, suddenly remembering the treats you had stashed in your bag. You quickly reached in and pulled them out, a grin spreading across your face. “My friends got it for me the other day and insisted I try them. I thought we could maybe try them together.”
Inumaki’s eyes lit up with curiosity, his usual playful demeanor softened by the prospect of sharing something simple but special with you. “Sure, why not?” he replied with a warm smile.
You handed him a piece of chocolate, and he accepted it with a nod of thanks. There was a brief pause as he looked at the treat in his hand, then, with a swift and practiced motion, he lifted his mask just enough to allow the chocolate to pass through, keeping his mouth hidden from view. It was such a small, casual gesture, but something about it felt almost intimate, as if this moment of sharing something sweet had added another layer to the connection you were building.
You popped a piece of chocolate into your own mouth, savoring the rich, velvety taste as it melted on your tongue. The two of you sat there in comfortable silence for a moment, simply enjoying the treat and each other’s company. The night, with its twinkling city lights and cool breeze, felt even more perfect now, with the simple pleasure of sharing something sweet together.
“This is really good,” Inumaki commented, his voice slightly muffled by the mask. “Your friends have good taste.”
“Yeah, they do,” you replied with a smile. “I’m glad you like it.”
He nodded, his eyes meeting yours briefly before glancing back out at the city skyline. “It’s the little things like this that make moments like these even better, don’t you think?”
You couldn’t agree more. “Definitely. It’s like…everything just falls into place, you know? The view, the company, the chocolate—it all just fits.”
Inumaki chuckled softly, his gaze still fixed on the city below. “Yeah, it really does.”
“Hey, let’s get going. It’s a school day tomorrow, and we don’t want to be tired,” he says with a laugh, standing up and extending his hand to you.
You giggle softly and take his hand, feeling the warmth of his touch as he helps you to your feet. The butterflies that had settled in your stomach earlier suddenly come alive again as he walks you back to his bike, his hand never leaving yours. It’s such a simple thing, but the way he holds on, the way he doesn’t let go, sends a wave of warmth through you.
When you reach the bike, he grabs your helmet and carefully places it over your head. He’s done this before, and each time, it makes you lose your composure a little more. It feels so intimate, even though it really isn’t, but the way he does it makes you feel weak in the best way possible. It’s a small gesture, sure, but it carries so much weight, making your heart race every time.
After securing your helmet, he puts on his own and then gets on the bike, turning back to you with that familiar, comforting smile. As always, he helps you onto the bike, his hands steadying you as you take your seat behind him. Once you’re settled, you wrap your arms around his waist, and with a gentle rev of the engine, you’re off, the city lights fading behind you as you head back.
Damn… he looked so fucking good earlier… The thought hit you out of nowhere as you replayed the image of him leaning back on his motorcycle, his relaxed posture accentuating his physique in the most distracting way. God, his physique looks ughhhhh… The way the light had played off him, casting shadows that made him seem even more mysterious—and that’s kind of… hot…
Wait, what the fuck am I thinking?
As quickly as the thoughts arose, you shook your head, mentally chastising yourself for letting your mind wander in that direction. What the hell is going on with me? You tried to push the thoughts away, but they lingered stubbornly, leaving you feeling both flustered and confused. You couldn’t quite put a finger on why these feelings were surfacing now, but one thing was clear—you were in deeper than you had realized.
And just as you were wrestling with those thoughts, trying to push them out of your mind, Inumaki moved his hand back onto your leg. The touch was gentle at first, but then he slowly slid his hand up your thigh, sending a shiver through your entire body. He continued down to your knee and then further down to your ankle, his touch almost hypnotic.
The simple act made your heart race even faster, and suddenly, the thoughts you were trying so hard to suppress came rushing back with even more intensity. You could feel the heat rising in your cheeks, your mind spinning with thoughts you wouldn’t normally entertain—thoughts that were wildly out of character for you.
What is happening to me? you wondered, feeling the tension in your body build. His touch was driving you crazy, making it hard to focus on anything but the way his hand felt as it moved up and down your leg. You were more flustered than ever, your mind racing with ideas and desires you never thought you’d have. It was overwhelming, and you had no idea how to handle the sudden rush of feelings that he had unintentionally stirred within you.
Inumaki pulls into your neighborhood, the familiar surroundings slowly grounding you from the whirlwind of emotions. He stops in front of your place, and you hop off the back of his bike, taking your helmet off as you face him. “Thank you, Toge… today was really fun,” you say, feeling a slight blush creeping up your cheeks.
He quickly takes his helmet off and looks into your eyes, concern flickering in his expression. He gently places a hand on your cheek, lifting your head slightly to meet his gaze. “Hey, are you okay?” he asks, his voice soft but serious.
You blink, a bit confused. “Yeah, of course I am… what do you mean?” you respond.
“Your eyes… they’re super red and glossy,” he points out, his brow furrowed with concern.
You laugh, realizing what he’s talking about. “So are yours,” you retort, playfully pointing at him.
He chuckles lightly, but his expression remains thoughtful. “I knew it. I started feeling really weird while riding.”
You nod slightly, feeling a bit relieved to hear it wasn’t just you. “Oh, me too. I started thinking… weird things…”
Inumaki raises an eyebrow, a playful grin tugging at his lips. “Oh yeah? What were you thinking about?”
Caught off guard, you stammer, “Oh… uh… NOTHING!” Your face turns bright red again as you quickly look away, embarrassed by your own thoughts.
He chuckles at your flustered reaction, but his tone shifts back to curiosity as he asks, “Okay… Y/N?”
“Mhm?” you hum, glancing back at him.
“What’s the chocolate brand you gave us?” he asks, his tone now serious.
You think for a moment, trying to recall. “Uhh, I don’t remember…? I think it started with a K… Kiva or something like that? Never heard of it, but it’s super good,” you say happily, oblivious to the significance.
Inumaki just stares at you for a moment, his expression unreadable. “What…?” you ask, curiosity getting the better of you.
“Y/N,” he says, his tone laced with amusement and something else you can’t quite place.
“Yeah?” you reply, still not understanding where this is going.
“That’s weed chocolate,” he finally says, deadpan.
“Wheat? Oh, are you allergic to wheat?” you ask, genuinely concerned.
He bursts out laughing, shaking his head in disbelief. “No, stupid, not wheat. I mean, like, edible.”
“Well… yeah, it is edible. We literally ate it,” you say, confusion evident in your voice.
He just laughs harder, clutching his stomach. “God, you’re so innocent. No, Y/N. It’s cannabis chocolate. We’re high out of our minds.”
Your mouth drops open in shock. “Whaaaaaaaaaaaa?” you exclaim, completely floored by the revelation.
Inumaki just grins at your reaction, clearly enjoying the moment. “Yeah… welcome to the world of edibles,” he says, still laughing as you try to process what just happened.
“Wait, but how—what—” you stammer, still trying to wrap your head around the situation.
Inumaki chuckles softly, shaking his head. “Clearly, your friends bought it for you and wanted you to try it out.”
“Oh god, I’m so stupid,” you mutter, shaking your head in disbelief.
“This is hilarious, but I’m gonna head home. It’s getting pretty late.”
“Wait, what?! Are you crazy? I’m not letting you drive home high out of your mind, especially on a motorcycle,” you say, your voice rising in concern.
“No, it’s okay. I’ve done it before, and I was fine,” he replies casually, as if it’s no big deal.
You stare at him in disbelief, your worry quickly turning to frustration. “First of all, don’t tell me that because I’ll literally lose my mind! Second, why the hell were you stupid enough to do that? Do you have a death wish? And third, no way under any circumstance am I letting you ride high right now. Especially not because of me. So, get your ass into my apartment.”
Inumaki blinks, taken aback by your sudden fierceness. He opens his mouth to argue but quickly realizes there’s no point. Your tone leaves no room for negotiation, and honestly, he can’t help but admire how serious you’re taking this.
“Alright, alright,” he concedes, raising his hands in surrender. “I’ll stay. But just for the record, you’re pretty scary when you’re mad.”
You roll your eyes, but a small smile tugs at the corner of your lips. “Good. Now come on, let’s get inside before we both do something else stupid.”
As you turn to head inside, Inumaki lingers for a moment, watching you with a slight smirk. He then whispers under his breath, “And pretty hot too.”
You catch the murmur of his voice and glance back at him, puzzled. “Huh? What was that?”
He straightens up quickly, his expression shifting to one of feigned innocence. “Nothing! Lead the way!” he replies, a bit too quickly, trying to hide the slight blush creeping up his cheeks.
You narrow your eyes at him for a second, suspicious, but eventually shrug it off and continue leading him into the house, completely unaware of the quiet compliment that just slipped out.
Tumblr media
You showed Inumaki around your apartment, pointing out the bathroom, the kitchen, and anything else he might need during his stay. As you finished the tour, he smiled warmly at you. “Your apartment is really cute. I love how the aesthetic matches your vibe,” he said, his compliment making you blush slightly.
“Thanks,” you replied, feeling a bit flustered by the praise.
He glanced around the living room before asking, “Quick question… where exactly am I going to sleep?”
You looked around, realizing that your couch was way too small for Inumaki to sleep on comfortably. Your eyes darted to your bedroom behind him, and you felt a sudden wave of nervousness. “I haven’t thought that far…” you admitted.
Inumaki shrugged casually. “I could still go home, you know,” he suggested, though there was a hint of reluctance in his voice.
Before he could finish the thought, you quickly grabbed his hand and led him toward your bedroom. “Don’t be stupid, Toge, you’re sleeping with me tonight.”
Inumaki’s eyes widened, he smirked a bit as his face turning slightly red as he processed what you just said. You paused, suddenly realizing the implication of your words, and quickly let go of his hand. “UH… THAT’S NOT WHAT I MEANT… I mean, like, sleep in the same bed as me… wait, that still doesn’t sound better!”
You started to panic, fumbling over your words, but before you could continue, Inumaki smirked and placed his thumb over your lips and his hand was on your chin to gently silence you. “Shhh, I get it, don’t worry,” he said, his voice soft and reassuring. He chuckled lightly. “We’re sharing the bed, got it.”
He said it so casually, but the ease in his tone only made your face turn an even deeper shade of red. The fact that he noticed your intense blushing didn’t help either; his amused expression made it clear that he found your flustered state endearing.
You nodded, feeling a mix of embarrassment and something else you couldn’t quite place. “Okay, yeah… sharing the bed,” you mumbled, trying to regain some composure.
Inumaki just smiled, the playful glint in his eyes never fading. “Don’t worry, Y/N. I’ll be a perfect gentleman.”
His reassurance was meant to calm you, but it only made the butterflies in your stomach flutter even more.
Inumaki’s reassuring words lingered in the air as you both stood there, the tension between you palpable. You nodded again, trying to shake off the nervous energy that had settled over you. “Right… okay, so, um… let me just grab some extra blankets,” you said, quickly turning away to busy yourself with finding something to do, anything to distract from the situation.
As you rummaged through your closet for blankets, you couldn’t help but steal a glance at Inumaki. He seemed completely at ease, which only added to your internal turmoil. How could he be so calm when you felt like your heart was about to burst out of your chest?
When you finally managed to find a spare blanket, you turned back to him, forcing a smile. “Here, just in case you get cold.”
He took the blanket from you, his fingers brushing against yours in the process. “Thanks,” he said with a gentle smile, his eyes holding yours for a moment longer than usual.
You cleared your throat, feeling the heat rise in your cheeks again. “So, um, I’ll just… I guess I’ll change in the bathroom,” you mumbled, grabbing your pajamas and making a quick exit before you could embarrass yourself further.
Once inside the bathroom, you took a deep breath, trying to calm the rapid beating of your heart. Get it together, you told yourself. It’s just one night. You can handle this.
You changed into your pajamas, splashed some water on your face, and gave yourself one last pep talk before heading back out. When you returned to the bedroom, Inumaki was already sitting on the edge of the bed, his back turned to you as he adjusted the pillows.
He glanced over his shoulder as you entered, offering you a smile that made your stomach flip. “All set?”
“Yeah,” you replied, trying to sound casual as you crossed the room to join him.
You climbed into bed, feeling a bit awkward as you settled under the covers. The bed was big enough to give you both some space, but the reality of sharing it with Inumaki made the situation feel a lot more intimate than you’d anticipated.
Inumaki slid under the blankets beside you, his movements slow and careful, as if he were mindful of your nerves. He turned to face you, his expression soft and reassuring. “Comfortable?”
You nodded, though you weren’t sure if “comfortable” was the right word for how you felt. “Yeah, I’m good.”
There was a brief silence as you both adjusted to the situation, and then Inumaki spoke up, his voice low and gentle. “You know, you don’t have to be so nervous. It’s just me.”
His words were meant to be comforting, but they only made your heart race faster. “I’m not nervous,” you lied, though it was clear from your voice that you were anything but calm.
Inumaki chuckled softly, his eyes glinting with amusement. “Okay, maybe a little nervous.”
You laughed despite yourself, the sound easing some of the tension. “Fine, maybe a little.”
He smiled, the warmth in his gaze making you feel a bit more at ease. “Well, don’t worry. I’m not going to do anything weird. We’ll just sleep, and tomorrow we can laugh about how awkward this was.”
You nodded, appreciating his effort to lighten the mood. “Yeah, you’re right. Thanks, Toge.”
He gave you a reassuring nod before rolling onto his back, staring up at the ceiling. You followed suit, lying flat on your back with your hands resting on your stomach, trying to calm the flurry of thoughts racing through your mind.
Minutes passed in silence, the only sound in the room being the soft rustling of the sheets and your synchronized breathing. The initial awkwardness began to fade, replaced by a quiet sense of comfort in just being near him.
Finally, you felt your eyelids grow heavy, the exhaustion of the day catching up with you. Just as you were about to drift off to sleep, you felt Inumaki’s hand brush against yours under the covers. It was a light, almost accidental touch, but it sent a small shockwave through your entire body.
You glanced over at him, but his eyes were closed, his breathing steady and calm. It could have been an innocent mistake, but the thought that it might not have been left you with a small, secret smile.
As you lay there in the soft glow of the night, the warmth of the moment surrounding you, your gaze drifted to Inumaki’s face, your eyes lingering on the mask he always wore over his mouth. It had become such a familiar part of him, something you almost never questioned, but in this relaxed, almost dreamlike state, your curiosity got the better of you.
“Toge,” you began softly, your voice a little hesitant, “can I ask you something?”
He turned his head to look at you, his expression calm and open. “Of course.”
You bit your lip, unsure of how to phrase your question. “Why do you always wear that mask? I’ve never seen you without it… not even when we’re alone like this.”
Inumaki hesitated for a moment, his eyes flickering with something you couldn’t quite place. Finally, he sighed softly and replied, “It’s not really a big deal… just something I’ve gotten used to. I was born with a mark next to my lips—it’s kind of like a birthmark, but it’s more noticeable. When I was a kid, people used to make fun of me for it. They’d call me names, say it looked weird, stuff like that. So, I started wearing the mask to cover it up.”
Your heart ached a little at his words, the idea of him being teased for something so personal tugging at your emotions. “That’s awful, Toge. I’m sorry you had to go through that.”
He shrugged, trying to play it off as no big deal, but you could see the lingering hurt in his eyes. “It’s fine. I got used to it, and now it just feels like a part of me, you know?”
You reached out, your fingers gently brushing against his arm, your touch soft and reassuring. “But it doesn’t have to be,” you said quietly. “Can I… can I see it? The mark?”
Inumaki hesitated again, his gaze searching yours for a moment before he slowly nodded. “Yeah… okay.”
With gentle hands, you reached up and carefully pulled down his mask, revealing the lower half of his face. Your breath caught in your throat as your eyes fell on the mark he had mentioned—a unique, almost intricate pattern beside his lips, dark and distinct against his skin. It wasn’t what you expected, but rather than seeing it as something to hide, you found it beautiful, like a hidden piece of him that only a few were allowed to see.
Without thinking, you reached out and lightly traced the pattern with your fingertips, your touch feather-light as you followed the lines. Inumaki tensed for a moment, his breath hitching at the contact, but he didn’t pull away.
“It’s beautiful,” you whispered, your voice filled with sincerity. “I love it. It’s so unique, like a part of you that makes you who you are.”
He looked at you, his eyes wide with surprise and something else—something softer, more vulnerable. “You really think so?”
You nodded, a gentle smile spreading across your face. “Yeah, I do. You don’t need to hide it, Toge. It’s a part of you, and it’s special.”
For a moment, the two of you just stared at each other, the weight of the moment settling over you both. You could see the conflict in his eyes, the years of insecurity battling with the acceptance and warmth he saw in yours.
Finally, he smiled—a real, genuine smile that reached his eyes. “Thank you, Y/N. No one’s ever said that to me before.”
You smiled back, feeling a deep connection forming between you. “Well, I’m glad I could be the first.”
With a small, contented sigh, Inumaki reached up and placed his hand over yours, still resting on his cheek. “You’re something else, you know that?”
“Maybe,” you replied, your voice light with affection, “but I think you are too.”
Your heart raced as you realized just how close you were to Inumaki. The sudden awareness of the proximity made you lean back slightly, a wave of self-consciousness washing over you. “Oh my god, I’m sorry—I didn’t mean to get up in your space like that,” you blurted out, your words tumbling over each other in your haste to apologize.
Before you could retreat any further, Inumaki’s hand gently cupped your face, his touch warm and steady. “There’s nothing to be sorry about, Y/N,” he said softly, his voice carrying a reassuring tone that sent shivers down your spine.
“I think it’s just the weed taking over me—” you started to explain, trying to brush off your actions as a side effect of the high.
But he shook his head, leaning in just a little closer, his gaze locking onto yours. “No,” he interrupted, his voice firm but gentle. “High actions are sober thoughts, you know? You just get the confidence to do things you wouldn’t normally do if it weren’t for your anxiety.”
You swallowed hard, his words hitting you with a truth you couldn’t ignore. Your pulse quickened, and you could feel the heat rising in your cheeks as you got even more flustered. “You’re cute when you’re nervous,” he added with a soft smile, his thumb brushing lightly against your cheek.
His words only made your heart race faster, your mind struggling to process the mix of emotions flooding through you. The closeness, the warmth of his hand on your face, the way his eyes seemed to see right through you—it was all too much, and yet, you couldn’t bring yourself to pull away.
“I… I don’t know what to say,” you admitted, your voice barely above a whisper.
Inumaki’s smile widened slightly, his expression soft and understanding. “You don’t have to say anything,” he murmured, his voice low and soothing. “Just be here, in this moment. That’s enough.”
For a few heartbeats, neither of you moved, the silence filled only by the sound of your breaths mingling in the small space between you. Then, slowly, he leaned in even closer, his eyes never leaving yours, as if asking for permission without words.
Inumaki’s eyes flickered with something intense yet tender, and you felt your breath catch in your throat. Every second stretched out, the moment hanging delicately between what was and what could be.
But just as he began to lean in, Inumaki hesitated. His gaze lingered on your lips for a moment longer before he pulled back slightly, his expression softening into something more thoughtful.
“We should sleep now,” he murmured, his voice gentle yet firm, as if he was convincing himself as much as he was telling you. “Gotta wake up early for school.”
The sudden shift in the atmosphere left you a little breathless, but you understood the unspoken reasons behind his words. He was giving you both space, not wanting to rush into something so significant, especially when the lines between your feelings and the effects of the weed were still blurred.
You nodded, offering him a small, appreciative smile. “Yeah, you’re right.”
Inumaki returned your smile, his hand still resting lightly on your cheek for a moment before he let it fall away. With that, he turned onto his back, settling into the bed beside you. The closeness was still there, the connection undeniable. You both lay there in the quiet, the earlier tension easing into a comfortable silence.
“Goodnight, Y/N,” Inumaki whispered, his voice soft in the stillness of the room.
“Goodnight, Toge,” you replied, a gentle smile tugging at your lips as you closed your eyes.
The room fell into a peaceful silence, the warmth of the shared moment lingering as you both drifted off to sleep, content in the comfort of each other’s presence.
By the time the first light of dawn began to peek through the curtains, your bodies had naturally gravitated toward each other. Your head rested near his shoulder, and one of his arms had unconsciously draped over your waist, as if protecting you even in sleep. The warmth of his presence seeped into your dreams, creating a sense of safety and peace that neither of you could fully comprehend but both embraced nonetheless.
As the first light of morning filtered softly through the curtains, you slowly began to stir from sleep. You blinked a few times, letting your eyes adjust to the gentle brightness, and as you came to full awareness, you felt the warmth of something—or rather, someone—beside you.
At the same moment, Inumaki shifted, his own eyes fluttering open. The first thing he noticed was how close you were, your head resting near his shoulder, your breaths soft and even against his skin. His arm was draped over your waist, a position that felt so natural and comforting that it took a moment for the realization to fully register.
You both froze, wide-eyed, as the reality of the situation sank in. Your faces were mere inches apart, your bodies comfortably nestled against each other as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
Inumaki’s eyes met yours, a mix of surprise and something softer passing between you. For a moment, neither of you said anything, just taking in the closeness, the way your bodies had unconsciously found their way to each other in the night.
“Uh… good morning,” you finally whispered, your voice a little shaky with the mix of emotions swirling inside you.
“Good morning,” Inumaki replied, his voice equally soft. He didn’t move his arm right away, as if he was just as caught off guard by how right it felt to be close to you.
You both shared a small, nervous laugh, the sound breaking the tension in the air.
“Uh… well, that was… cozy,” you said, your cheeks flushed as you tried to break the tension with a small laugh.
Inumaki scratched the back of his head, a sheepish grin spreading across his face. “Yeah, really cozy,” he agreed, his voice holding a hint of amusement. There was a glint in his eyes that suggested he wasn’t entirely unhappy about waking up that way. In fact, part of him wanted to stay close, to let the morning laziness keep you wrapped up together just a little longer.
“So, uh, I guess we should probably… get ready for school,” you finally suggested, though your voice lacked conviction.
“Yeah… school,” Inumaki echoed, though he made no move to get up. He seemed almost reluctant to break the moment, as if he was considering staying right where he was, enjoying the closeness a little longer.
You both sat there in that awkward-but-sweet limbo, neither of you really wanting to be the first to get up. Finally, Inumaki let out a small, resigned sigh, breaking the spell. “Alright, I guess we should… you know… start the day.”
“Yeah,” you agreed, though you felt a similar reluctance to move. You both stood up, the atmosphere still tinged with the remnants of the unexpected intimacy. You glanced at each other, exchanging shy, almost guilty smiles, as if you both knew you had just crossed a line but weren’t quite ready to address it yet.
Inumaki reached for his mask on the nightstand, but before he put it on, he paused and looked at you. “Hey… last night was… nice. I mean, not just the sleeping part, but… you know, everything.”
You smiled, feeling the warmth in your chest return. “Yeah, it really was. And, um… about this morning… I didn’t mind it. Like, at all.”
A grin tugged at the corners of his mouth. “Good to know,” he said, clearly pleased. He hesitated for a moment, then added, “Maybe we can… do it again sometime. Not the weird part, just… hanging out together.... you know?”
You blushed, but nodded. “Yeah, I’d like that.”

You both walked out of the restaurant and then suddenly you turned around so quick, Inumaki's confusion was evident as he nearly ran into you, his concern growing as he saw the upset expression on your face. "What's wrong?" he asked, his voice tinged with worry.
You couldn't contain your frustration (you weren't really upset though just surprised), and blurted out, "What's wrong?! You literally paid for both our meals when I told you I was going to pay for mine! Why would you do that?"
Inumaki's expression softened as he realized your distress. "Just wanted to treat you ," he explained, as he smirked.
"I know you wanted to be nice, but I just feel bad," you admitted, your voice softening. "You didn't have to do that, Inumaki. I appreciate it, but I want to be able to take care of myself too."
Inumaki's gentle touch as he placed the helmet on your head sent a shiver down your spine. The way he held it, almost as if he were cradling your face, made your heart flutter. Then, he gently nudges your helmet in a playful way.
"Don't be silly. Let's head back before we're late for class."
"Yeah," you agreed, trying to ignore the butterflies in your stomach as his gaze locked onto yours. Your visor was still open, allowing you to see the warmth and sincerity in his eyes, and for a moment, it felt like time stood still.
With a silent understanding passing between you, you both got on the bike, ready to return to school. As Inumaki started the engine, you held onto him tightly, feeling a newfound sense of connection blossoming between you.
Tumblr media
You both made your way back to school, and once you arrived, you decided to exchange phone numbers.
As you entered the school grounds, you were met with stunned silence as everyone froze in their tracks, their eyes widening in disbelief. Whispers rippled through the crowd as people pointed and gasped, unable to believe what they were seeing.
Confusion flickered across your face as you took the helmet off, but you shrugged it off and continued on your way to class.
The rest of the school day passed quickly, filled with classes and moments shared with your friends. Finally, when the last bell rang, signalling the end of the day, you gathered your belongings and headed home.
Tumblr media
As the hours dragged on, the sky slowly transformed from the vibrant colors of daylight to the serene shades of twilight. You sat there, staring at your phone, waiting for the notification that never came. Each minute felt like an eternity, the silence between you growing louder with every passing second. Eventually, frustration and boredom set in, and you began to pace back and forth in your room, the walls closing in as your thoughts spiraled out of control. What had started as mild impatience turned into a storm of overthinking, your mind racing with endless possibilities and unanswered questions.
Why hadn't he texted?
What was he doing?
Did I do something that put him off?
We only just became friends, but why hasn’t he texted me?
I don’t want to be the one who texts first—what if he’s not interested?
But wait, why do I even care? It’s not like I like him or anything—right? I mean, why would I? We just met!
Oh my God, what am I even doing?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
OMG, HE TEXTED ME! AHHH—
*cough cough*
I mean, oh yeah, cool, whatever.
You leap onto your bed, excitement bubbling over as you start to type "heyyy!" But just before hitting send, you hesitate, pulling your thumb back.
Wait—
am I responding too soon? Should I wait a few minutes?
Maybe I just won’t respond until tomorrow....
Yeah, that way I won’t seem desperate.
But...what if he thinks I'm not interested and decides not to talk to me again?
Ugh, okay, maybe I’ll just wait a few minutes.
You glance at your phone, curiosity gnawing at you.
But I really want to know what he’s going to say.
Why is this so hard?
Finally, you throw your hands up in defeat. You know what, screw it.
You hit send and immediately toss your phone onto the bed, heart racing.
"Yep, I'm just gonna walk away. If he texts back right now, I’m not even going to read it," you mutter to yourself.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
FUCK, did I put too many y's? You panic for a second, staring at the screen.
Maybe I overdid it…
Your mind starts racing again, overanalyzing every letter, every detail.
Is it too much? Does it look like I’m trying too hard?
You can’t help but feel a wave of regret wash over you as you wait, second-guessing everything.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But- Okay, he definitely called me out. You can feel your cheeks heat up as you realize he's seen right through you. Yeah, I was totally waiting for him to text me all day, but there’s no way he needs to know that.
You let out a frustrated sigh. He’s already got a high ego—clearly. If I agree, it’ll only inflate it more. Plus, I don’t need him thinking I’m desperate… You pause, correcting yourself. Wait, what? I’m not desperate! What the hell?
Your phone buzzed again with a text from Inumaki, asking for your address. With a mixture of excitement and intrigue, you hesitantly provided it, wondering what he was up to.
You catch yourself spiraling and mutter under your breath, "God, why the hell am I talking to myself?" You shake your head, trying to regain some semblance of composure, but your thoughts are all over the place.
OKAY, BUT HE WANTS TO HANG OUT??!! That’s a good thing—wait, holy shit, I need to get ready quickly!
You leap off your bed, adrenaline kicking in, and start rummaging through your closet. Outfits fly as you scramble to find the perfect look. "Okay, no, not this crop top—my breast will literally show out too much. That’s going to look way too desperate; I don’t need that much attention." You toss it aside and pull out another option. "Ugh, not this one either—too much color." Another reject.
You glance at a skirt, but immediately think twice. "Ehh, it’s too cold for this—wait, is he bringing his bike? Oh shit, okay, leggings and a long-sleeve cropped top…oh yes, that’s actually perfect." You smile to yourself, finally feeling like you’ve got it just right.
Then, you remembered the chocolates that Nobara, Itadori, and Megumi had given you, their mysterious behavior still fresh in your mind. They had insisted that you try the chocolates at night, giggling mischievously as they handed them to you. You hadn't understood their odd behavior at the time, but you found it amusing nonetheless.
Deciding to bring the chocolates along for the ride with Inumaki, you tucked them into your bag, curious to see what the fuss was all about. With a smile, you headed out the door.
As you made your way down, a flutter of excitement and anticipation danced in your stomach. With each step closer to him, the butterflies grew stronger, a mix of nerves and exhilaration swirling within you.
You approached the motorcycle, and couldn't help but notice Inumaki leaning slightly back, his figure outlined against the backdrop of the streetlights. The sight of him exuded an air of confidence and allure, sending a shiver down your spine.
With his dark attire contrasting against the glow of the night, Inumaki looked undeniably captivating, his presence commanding attention. The subtle tilt of his body added to his mystique, making him appear effortlessly cool and incredibly attractive.
A flush of warmth spread across your cheeks as you admired him, feeling a rush of excitement and anticipation at the prospect of spending the evening with him.
"Hey," you greeted as you approached him, a nervous excitement bubbling within you.
"Hey."
As he passed you the helmet, you hesitated for a moment, uncertainty flickering in your eyes as you stood by the motorcycle. Just as you were about to climb onto the back seat, Inumaki hopped off the bike and playfully motioned for you to take his place. “nah uh” he said with a grin, tapping the seat in front of him invitingly.
Your eyes widened in surprise. "Are you serious? I’ve can't ride a motorcycle!" you protested, feeling a mix of nerves and excitement bubble up inside you.
Inumaki tilted his head slightly and asked, “Do you know how to drive manual?”
You met his gaze, slightly taken aback by the question, but then nodded. “Well, yeah, I do.”
A knowing smile spread across his face. “Then it’s really no different from that.”
Then he asked, “How’d you learn to drive manual?”
“My dad actually has a few cars in manual,” you explained, a hint of nostalgia in your voice. “He also rides a motorcycle. I mean, he kind of showed me how to ride, but I just didn’t fully understand it.”
“Oh, so you can ride,” Inumaki said with a grin, clearly amused by your modesty. Before you could respond, he stepped closer and gently guided you towards the front seat, his hands steadying you as you got on the bike.
“Don’t worry, I’ve got you,” he reassured with that same confident smile. "I'll be in control. Just trust me."
You start to feel a surge of uncertainty coursing through you.
He walked up in front of you as you settled onto his bike, his presence steadying your nerves. Gently, he reached for the bottom of your helmet, tilting your head up so your eyes met his. “Do you trust me?” he asked, his voice soft yet undeniably firm.
You swallowed nervously, feeling the weight of the moment. Searching his eyes for reassurance, you found a quiet confidence that made your heart race. After a brief hesitation, you nodded slowly, a blend of apprehension and trust swirling within you as you silently placed your faith in him.
He then hopped on the back of the bike, settling in close behind you. “What do I do?” you asked, your voice tinged with both excitement and nervousness as you felt Inumaki lean forward, his body pressing against yours, adding to the intensity of the moment.
With a calm and steady touch, he guided your hands to the handlebars, positioning them just right. His fingers, warm and reassuring, moved over yours, showing you the precise motions needed to start the bike. Each movement was deliberate, his practiced ease giving you confidence as you began to understand the mechanics beneath your fingers.
“So, put the bike into neutral,” he instructed, his voice steady and calm. You gently pushed up with your foot on the gear shift, feeling it click into neutral as your hand held the clutch down.
“See? Just like that. You know what you’re doing,” he said with a hint of admiration in his tone.
The words caught you off guard. Your heart dropped, and you felt your face flush a deep shade of red. Butterflies began to flutter wildly in your stomach, a shiver running down your spine. You knew he didn’t mean it in a sexual way, but the way he said it—the timing, the tone—had an unexpected effect, sending a rush of nervous excitement through you that you couldn’t quite shake and thank god he couldn't see your face right now....
“Okay, start up the bike, then pull in the clutch and shift to first gear,” he instructed, his voice steady and reassuring. “When I say, ease the throttle gently. We’ll start off slowly.”
You nodded, taking a deep breath to steady your nerves. Following his instructions, you gradually increased the throttle, feeling the bike come alive beneath you as it began to move forward.
As you gained speed, the wind rushing past you, a surge of exhilaration and freedom washed over you, the feeling unlike anything you’d ever experienced. A laugh escaped your lips, disbelief mixed with joy.
“Holy shit, I’m doing it!”
“Yeah, you are,” he replied, his smile evident in his voice, a note of pride lacing his words as he watched you take control.
You only made it down the block, the realization hitting you that you had no idea where you were going. Plus, with it being your first time really riding a motorcycle, you didn’t feel entirely confident or safe enough to take both of you any farther, especially with the night closing in around you.
“Okay, I’m going to switch now,” you said, a mix of relief and satisfaction in your voice. “I don’t know where we’re going, and I’d rather you take over.”
Inumaki just laughed, the sound light and teasing. “No worries, scaredy cat,” he said with a playful smirk, As he got off the bike, still chuckling, he reached out to help you dismount, his touch steady and reassuring. Once you were safely off, he smoothly slid into the driver’s seat, then turned back to you with that familiar smile. “Come on, ” he said, guiding you onto the passenger seat with a gentle hand, making sure you were comfortable before starting the bike again.
You wrapped your arms around his waist, pulling yourself closer to him as he began to drive down the road. The cool night air brushed against your skin, but all you could focus on was the breathtaking sight in front of you—the city lights stretching out endlessly, illuminating the night with a mesmerizing glow. It was beautiful, almost surreal.
Lost in the moment, you found yourself absentmindedly moving one hand up, gently caressing his chest over his clothes, while your other hand softly trailed along his arm. The intimate touch caught Inumaki completely off guard. His heart skipped a beat, and he glanced down at your hand on his chest before quickly looking back up at the road. His face flushed a deep shade of red, nerves suddenly bubbling up inside him. Thankfully, your helmets hid his flustered expression, and he couldn’t help but be grateful for that small mercy.
In response, he moved his left hand onto your leg, his fingers brushing up and down in a calming motion. The sensation brought you back to reality, making you acutely aware of where your hands were—and where his hand was. A wave of nervousness washed over you from his touch, but you held on, feeling the connection between you deepen with each passing moment.

Recap:
"How long will you be staying in the hospital?" Inumaki asks, his voice soft but filled with genuine worry.
You glanced at the nurse, who had been quietly observing the group, before turning back to your friends with a small smile. "I'm not sure yet," you admitted, your voice tinged with uncertainty. "But hopefully not too long."
Inumaki nodded, his expression thoughtful as he processed your response. "We'll be here for you, no matter what," he assured you, his words a silent promise of unwavering support.

"She'd have to stay for an extra night so we can keep watch over her, just in case," the nurse said to your friends.
"She's too weak to go home right now, and we'll see how she is tomorrow before we determine whether it's safe for her to leave or not."
Your friends nodded in agreement as the doctor continued.
"It's getting pretty late now, so it's best if Miss L/N gets some rest for tonight."
"Okay, sure," Maki says as she steps closer to your body and gives you a gentle hug, careful not to move you too much.
"We'll be here first thing in the morning, Y/N!" Itadori chimes in, joining in for a hug as well.
"See you later!" they all say as they head out the door.
But Megumi stays behind, sitting beside your bed with a small smile on his lips, still gazing at you.
"Hey, you heard the nurse, I need my beauty sleep," you say in a teasing tone, playfully nudging Megumi's shoulder. His smile widens, but a serious look remains in his eyes.
How could someone look genuinely happy yet serious at the same time?
"I'm not leaving your side, not again."
"Megs… you need to stop blaming yourself."
Megumi's gaze softens, and he reaches out to hold your hand. "I can't help it, Y/N. I should have been there for you," he murmurs, his voice filled with regret.
You squeeze his hand reassuringly. "You've always been there for me, Megumi. This isn't your fault. Sometimes things just happen, and we can't control them."
He looks down, taking a deep breath before meeting your eyes again. "I know, but it doesn't make it any easier. I just want to make sure you're safe."
You nod, understanding his concern. "And I appreciate that, more than you know. But right now, I need you to take care of yourself too. We both need to be strong, okay?"
Megumi nods slowly, his grip on your hand tightening slightly. "Okay. But I'm not going anywhere. I'll be right here if you need me."
"Megs…"
"I'll sleep on the couch. I'm not leaving your side, Y/N. That's final," he insists.
"Don't be stupid. Come here," you say, tugging his hand and hinting for him to get into the nursing bed with you.
Megumi hesitates for a moment, looking conflicted. "Are you sure?" he asks softly.
You nod, patting the space beside you. "Yes, I'm sure. I don't want you sleeping on that uncomfortable couch. Besides, I sleep better when you're close."
After a brief moment of contemplation, Megumi finally relents and carefully climbs into the bed beside you. The bed is narrow, but the closeness is comforting. He wraps an arm around you, pulling you gently against him, mindful of your injuries.
"You know, this feels a lot better," he admits, his voice a soft whisper in the dim light. He leans down and kisses your forehead, a gentle, comforting touch that sends a wave of warmth through you.
You close your eyes, feeling the tenderness of the moment. "It really does," you whisper back, your hand resting on his chest, feeling the steady beat of his heart.
Megumi's embrace tightens slightly, and he rests his chin on top of your head. "Get some sleep, Y/N. I'll be right here."
With a contented sigh, you let yourself relax completely, the exhaustion of the day finally catching up with you. As you drift off to sleep, the last thing you hear is Megumi's steady breathing and the comforting feeling of his arms around you, a silent promise that he won't leave your side.

"Well, well, well…" A familiar voice echoes through the hospital room. You open your eyes and look toward the door, only to be met with the one person you never wished to see again: Haruta.
"What—how?" you say frantically.
He smirks, "How am I still alive?"
"How!? Why?! It's not possible," you shout back in fear.
"I'm not alive, Y/N," he says, his voice dripping with malice.
"What? I don't understand—"
"YOU killed me. You're a murderer, Y/N."
"What the fuck!? I didn't fucking kill you!" you scream, your heart pounding in your chest.
"If it weren't for that you and that dumb boyfriend of yours, I would still be alive. I would have kidnapped you and taken you to my father to prove I was worthy of becoming a leader," he sneers.
"You're fucking sick," you retort, your voice trembling with a mix of anger and fear.
"Am I really, though? Doesn't it make it worse that you dated me then?" he taunts.
"Fuck you," you spit back, your fists clenching.
"You're lucky I can't hurt you anymore," he says, laughing evilly.
"How the fuck are you here? How am I seeing you right now? You're not real. You're just in my head!" you shout, desperately trying to convince yourself.
Haruta laughter echoes in the room, chilling you to the bone. "Oh, I'm very real, Y/N. And I'll always be a part of you. Remember that."
"Fuck you, you're not real. You're not a part of me, you never were and never will be," you snap, your voice steady with defiance.
Haruta smirk widens. "Perhaps I'm not alive anymore, but Toji is."
"Toji? Megumi's dad? What the fuck does he have to do with anything?"
"Oh come on, Y/N… You really think that Megumi's all innocent?"
"What are you talking about?" you demand, feeling a knot of unease forming in your stomach.
"He's a Zenin, just like his father, and luckily for me we're all on the same side."
"That's not true. Megumi's not like that! He would never hurt me."
"Right, but he told Toji to kill me to keep you safe, yeah? But then, somehow, I'm still alive and kidnap you right after your fight with Megumi."
"What are you getting at?!" you shout, panic rising in your chest.
"Toji let me go. He wouldn't kill me. Not for you. Not for Megumi. Not for anyone but himself. The truth is, he had no real reason to kill me—it was just an act. You're the target, Y/N. Actually, our biggest target," he laughs.
"W-what? But you were his target—"
"Oh come on, Y/N, you think I didn't know about that 'plan' he convinced Megumi about?"
"You knew all along?" you ask, your voice trembling.
"That I'm Toji's target and he would sell drugs to me in order to kill me because I'm a big target? Yeah, that was all a lie. A very believable one, if I may add," he sneers.
"You're the number one most wanted target for our mafia. Your father is our worst enemy, and you just so happen to be his little precious daughter. Killing him or even harming him was not easy, so instead, we decided that what other way could we hurt him if not physically? Something much, much worse… and to do that, we had to find his daughter… oh right, that's you."
"But—my father's dead…" you stammer, confusion and fear swirling in your mind.
"That's not exactly true. Your father just gave you away in order to protect you at all costs. Well, looking at it now, he failed at protecting you and failed as a father too," he says, laughing cruelly.
"No… that's not possible," you whisper, tears welling up in your eyes.
Haruta's image starts to fade away, his laughter lingering in the room. "Believe what you want, but the truth is out there." he taunts as he disappears.
You jolt up from the bed, tears streaming down your face and your breath coming in heavy, frantic gasps. Megumi quickly wakes up, placing one hand on your back and the other on your face, gently turning your head towards him. He starts wiping your tears, his voice soft but slightly panicked.
"Hey, hey, hey," he whispers. "What happened?"
"H-h-he wa—" you try to say, but your panic attack worsens, making it difficult to speak.
"Shh, shh, Y/N, look at me," Megumi says, his voice soothing. "It's okay, just breathe, okay?"
"He was he—" you start again, but the words catch in your throat.
"Shh, baby, It was just a bad dream," Megumi murmurs, his tone calm and reassuring. "Just focus on breathing first, okay? Look at me. You're going to be alright. I'm right here."
You lock eyes with him, his steady gaze grounding you as you struggle to control your breathing. His thumb gently strokes your cheek, and slowly, your breaths start to even out.
"That's it," he encourages softly. "Just breathe. You're safe. I'm here with you."
As your panic begins to subside, you lean into Megumi's touch, drawing comfort from his presence. "It felt so real," you whisper, your voice still shaky.
"I know," he replies, holding you close. "But it was just a nightmare."
"He was here…" you say, your voice barely above a whisper.
"Who? Who was here?" Megumi asks, his eyes wide with concern.
"Haruta," you manage to say. As soon as the name leaves your lips, you can feel the way Megumi tenses up, his body rigid with anger.
"What happened?" he asks, his voice low and controlled.
"It felt so real, Megumi, like he was actually here… or like his ghost. I think it was his ghost. He told me things… things that seem too real to ignore," you explain, your voice trembling.
Megumi's grip on you tightens protectively. "What did he say?" he asks, his voice filled with both concern and a simmering anger.
"He said that Toji didn't kill him, that he let him go. And that I was the real target because of my father. He said… he said my father isn't dead, that he gave me away to protect me," you say, the words spilling out in a rush.
Megumi's jaw clenches, his eyes burning with intensity. "Y/N, listen to me. No matter what he said, we'll find the truth together. You're not alone in this. We'll face whatever comes our way, and we'll figure it out."
"But what if he's right? What if my father is still out there?"
"Then we'll find him," Megumi says firmly. "And I'll make sure you're safe. I promise you, Y/N, I won't let anyone else hurt you."
"Now come here," he says gently, lying down and bringing you down on top of him with your head resting on his chest as he wipes your tears away. "Look at me, baby," he says softly. You tilt your head up to look at him, and he lets out a soft chuckle at the way you start blushing.
"That's new," you murmur.
"What is?" he asks, still smiling.
"Calling me baby."
He chuckles again. "Yeah, you like it?"
You shyly look down and nod, your cheeks growing even warmer. "Mhmm."
He smirks and moves his hand to your chin, tilting your head back so you're looking at him again. "Stop hiding from me. I wanna see your beautiful face."
"You're making it hard not to look away," you say, your voice barely above a whisper.
"And why's that?" His smirk growing wider.
"Meg... stop looking at me like that…"
"Like what?"
"That..."
"Not sure I follow."
This mf. He's teasing you.
"You know... that look."
"Hmm, I can't read your mind angel."
"That look you give... like you're holding me with your eyes, making me feel like I'm the only one you see," you admit, your voice trembling slightly.
He pauses, his smirk softening into something more tender. "You are the only one I see, the only one I want to be with," he says, his voice low and filled with an intensity that makes your heart race.
You were caught by surprise. You didn't expect him to say that. Not that you didn't feel it was true—you definitely knew he only had eyes for you—but the way he said it made your stomach fill with butterflies.
"Am I making you nervous again?" he teases, his eyes sparkling with mischief.
"Shut up," you reply, trying to sound annoyed but failing as a smile tugs at the corners of your lips.
Megumi chuckles softly, his hand gently stroking your cheek. "I can't help it. You’re adorable when you’re blushing."
You roll your eyes playfully but can't deny the warmth spreading through your chest.
"You're impossible."
"And yet, you’re still here."
"Yeah, looks like I am."
He leans down until your lips are inches apart, both of you feeling each others hot breath against one another.
"Good," he whispers and smiles as he closes the gap between your lips. The kiss is soft and tender, filled with unspoken emotions.
"Because I wouldn’t want it any other way," he says, making you both smile. Then he's back to your lips once again, the kiss was slow and gentle at first. But the temptation became too strong to resist, and the kisses grew deeper and more passionate, each one conveying the depth of your feelings for each other.
Your hands find their way to his hair, tangling in the soft strands, while his hands roam your back, pulling you even closer. The room seems to fade away, leaving just the two of you lost in each other.
"Fuck," he moans out, his voice heavy with desire.
"Maybe we should stop… we could get caught," you manage to say between kisses, though your heart isn't fully in the suggestion.
"Y-yeah," he agrees breathlessly.
"Yeah…" you repeat, but neither of you make any move to stop. Instead, your kisses become even more passionate, a hunger taking over that neither of you can ignore.
You start to roam each other's bodies more freely, your hands exploring every contour and muscle. Smoothly, you maneuver yourself on top of him, straddling his lap as he lies on the hospital bed with his hands firmly on your waist.
"Are you sure you're okay to do this?" Megumi asks, genuine concern in his voice. You simply nod, then lean in and kiss him hungrily, letting your actions speak for you.
The closeness and heat between you both intensify, and you decide to take it a step further, slowly bringing your hand down to the tent in his pants.
"Fuck baby… you really are such a tease," he groans, his eyes dark with lust and admiration.
You smile, feeling a rush of confidence. "And you're loving every second of it," you whisper back, leaning down to capture his lips in another deep kiss. His hands roam over your back, pulling you even closer, and you can feel the electric connection between you both.
You remove his shirt, and don't even realize how long you've been staring at his abs until he says, "Like what you see?" while smirking. You quickly look into his eyes, embarrassed for being caught in the moment.
"Come on, there's nothing to be embarrassed about, angel," his smirk widens, but you're not about to let him have that over you. You smirk back and, in one swift motion, take off his pants and boxers, catching him by surprise. His eyes widen slightly, not expecting you to be so bold.
What surprises him even more is when you place your hand over his hard cock, moving your hand over his tip and using his pre-cum as a way to lubricate his length. He gasps softly, his hips instinctively bucking into your touch.
"Oh...fuck" he groans, his voice heavy with desire. "You're driving me crazy."
You smile, feeling a surge of confidence at his reaction. "Good," you reply, your voice low and seductive. "I want to make you feel good."
"You already do," he murmurs, his eyes locking onto yours with an intensity that makes your heart race.
"Mm, you're so big," you murmur, your hand moving with increased speed and firmness along his length. Each stroke grows more intense as you apply a bit more pressure when reaching the tip.
Lowering yourself, your face inches closer to his throbbing cock. You lean in and let a trail of spit fall onto his shaft, the wetness adding to the sensation. With a delicate kiss, you tease his sensitive skin.
"S-shit… don't tease me like that, please," Megumi groans, his head leaning back against the pillow, eyes half-closed with desire.
"Hmm, no fun," you tease, a playful glint in your eye. Slowly, you begin to lick from the base of his cock to the tip, savoring every inch. Finally, you open your mouth, inviting him inside.
"Oh fuckkkk, baby" he breathes out, his voice thick with desire.
As your mouth envelops him, you feel him shudder beneath you. You start with slow, deliberate movements, letting your tongue dance along his length, exploring every ridge and vein. His moans grow louder, and you can sense his growing desperation.
You take him deeper, creating a rhythm that drives him wild. Your hands work in tandem with your mouth, stroking and squeezing, heightening his pleasure. Every gasp and groan from him fuels your desire, encouraging you to go further.
His fingers tangle in your hair, guiding you as his hips start to move in sync with your motions. The intensity builds, and you feel him throbbing against your tongue. You know he's close, and the anticipation only makes you more eager to please him.
Suddenly, he holds your head still, making you unable to move. You look up into his eyes, a bit confused, as he starts to push your head off his length. "F-fuck- I can't...I need you," he murmurs, his voice thick with desire. "I need to be in you"
Megumi’s eyes are dark with longing, and he gently guides your hips into position. You follow his lead, your body buzzing with excitement and need.
He pauses for a moment, his gaze locked onto yours, searching for any sign of hesitation. "Are you sure you're okay to do this?" Megumi asks, genuine concern in his voice.
You nod, swallowing hard. "I'm sure," you reply, your voice trembling with a mix of fear and anticipation.
"We don't have to if y-"
Before he could finish his sentence, you cut him off with a kiss, your lips curving into a smile against his. "I want to do this with you," you whisper.
Then you lean back and slowly begin to remove the hospital gown you were put in when you arrived. The only piece of clothing left underneath is your panties. Megumi's eyes widen as he takes in the sight of your bare skin. His gaze travels over your perfect curves, lingering on your beautiful thighs and smooth skin. He watches your chest rise and fall, and his breath catches as he takes in the sight of your breasts—so big, round, and perky. "So perfect..." he mumbles, his voice husky with desire.
He places one hand behind your back, pulling you closer to him. His hand moves back to your breasts, his touch gentle yet firm. He leans in, bringing his mouth to your nipple, and you shiver as his warm tongue flicks against the sensitive bud. He begins to gently suck and lick, his hand massaging your other breast, ensuring it doesn’t go unattended.
Your breath hitches, a soft moan escaping your lips. You run your fingers through his hair, arching you back to press yourself closer to him, losing yourself in the sensation. His touch is electric, sending waves of pleasure through your body. You can feel his desire growing, matched by your own.
You whisper his name, your voice barely audible, but he hears you. He lifts his head, his eyes locking onto yours with a smoldering intensity. "I want you," he breathes, his voice raw with need. "All of you."
You respond with another kiss, more passionate and urgent this time. Your bodies move in sync, a perfect dance of desire and longing.
With a deep, reassuring breath, Megumi grips your hips and helps you lower yourself onto him.
"S-shit-"
The sensation is overwhelming, and you gasp as his length enters you, your body adjusting to the unfamiliar feeling. He moves slowly, his hands steadying you, ensuring you're comfortable with each inch.
"You okay?" he asks, his voice strained with the effort to control himself.
"Yes," you manage to whisper, your body beginning to relax. "I'm okay."
"Mmm you're so fucking tight, angel." He moans.
You start to move, finding a rhythm that leaves you both breathless. The initial discomfort fades, replaced by a growing pleasure that builds with each movement. You find your pace, your hips rolling in slow, deliberate circles.
Megumi's eyes never leave yours, the intensity of his gaze matching the sensations coursing through your body. You lean forward, your hands resting on his chest for support, feeling the rise and fall of his breath beneath your palms. Each movement sends sparks of pleasure through you, the connection between you deepening with every thrust.
Megumi's grip tightens on your hips, his fingers digging into your skin as he meets your movements with powerful, upward thrusts. Your moans grow louder, mingling with his as you both lose yourselves in the rhythm.
"God, you feel so good," he groans, his voice husky with desire. "You're so tight, so perfect."
His words spur you on, driving you to move faster, harder, your body chasing the release you both crave. "That's it, good girl" he whispers, his grip tightening even more on your hips. "Take all of me. All of me. Just like that."
"Been thinking about tis f'so long, y'know?" he manages to say through grunts, his voice thick with desire.
"Yeah? Thinking about me, huh?" you moan out, teasing him with a playful tone.
"You have no idea."
"Enlighten me."
He lets out a low chuckle and leans in closer, his breath warm against your ear. "I imagine how I'm balls deep inside you, how your body arches against mine with each thrust. You ridin' me like a dirty little slut. Just like right now."
Your breath hitched at his words, arousal surging through you. You don't even know how it's possible to get more turned on than you already are, but you do, and he can easily tell by the way your cunt clenches at his words.
"You like that, don't you?" he chuckles again, his eyes dark with lust, his touch sending waves of pleasure through your body.
Each thrust sends waves of pleasure through you, his movements perfectly hitting all the right spots. Your mind becomes blissfully foggy, making it impossible to think clearly or form a sentence. The intensity of the sensation overwhelms you completely, leaving you lost in the euphoria he brings.
When he notices your fucked-out expression, he laughs, a deep, throaty sound. "I'm really fucking you dumb right now," he teases, his words only intensifying your arousal.
"Shit, baby, you know you're making it so hard to hold back..." he groans, his voice strained with pleasure.
His hips move with a fierce intensity, the sound of skin against skin filling the room. Every thrust brings you closer to the edge, the friction building a delicious tension inside you. His eyes lock onto yours, a mix of raw hunger and deep affection in his gaze, fueling the fire within you.
As he leans up, his eyes never leaving yours, he captures one of your breasts in his mouth, his tongue flicking over your sensitive nipple. The sensation is electric, a jolt of pleasure that makes your back arch and your eyes roll back in ecstasy. You're gasping for air, each breath a struggle as the pleasure builds and builds.
Just when you think you can't handle any more, his free hand slides down your body, his fingers finding your clit. He starts to draw circles around it, the touch light and teasing at first, then firmer, more insistent.
You can feel the tension building within you, a tight coil of pleasure ready to snap. His thrusts become more urgent, his breathing ragged as he continues to drive you both towards the edge. The sensation of him filling you completely with every thrust, combined with the exquisite pleasure from his fingers and mouth, pushes you closer and closer to your peak.
Your moans grow louder, your body trembling with anticipation. You cling to him, your nails digging into his shoulders as you lose yourself in the overwhelming ecstasy. The world around you fades away, leaving only the intense connection between your bodies and the sheer, unrelenting pleasure that consumes you both.
You can feel him tensing beneath you, his breath coming in ragged gasps, and you know he's close too. "I want you to come for me," he says, his voice raw with need. "I want to feel you come around my cock."
"Fuckkkk gumi" you manage to moan loudly.
The pressure builds within you, coiling tighter and tighter until you feel like you might burst. You move with increasing urgency, your body demanding release. "Gumi," you moan, your voice trembling. "I can't hold it."
"Don't hold back angel," he commands softly, his eyes blazing with intensity. "Let go. Come for me."
He starts thrusting up into you harder, meeting your movements with a powerful rhythm. "God, you look so beautiful riding me," he growls. "Just like that baby, take it all. You’re mine."
You moan louder at his words, the raw passion in his voice pushing you closer to the edge. "I love how tight you feel," he continues, his hands gripping your hips firmly, guiding your movements. "You're doing so good, baby. Keep going."
Your body responds to his encouragement, moving faster, the pleasure intensifying with every thrust. "Gumi, I... I need you," you gasp, the words barely coherent through the waves of sensation.
"I'm right here," he murmurs, his voice strained. "I’m not going anywhere. Let go for me angel, come all over me."
His words finally send you over the edge.
With a final, shuddering thrust, you reach your peak.
"That's it baby... ugh- shit," he moans as you hit your peak.
"You're clenching 'round me so tight... oh fuckkk," he manages to say before he quickly reaches his peak right after you.
Your body convulses, your back arching off the bed as you cry out, lost in the throes of your orgasm A chorus of cries filling the room as you collapse onto his chest. Both of you are gasping for air, trying to catch your breath after the intense moment. Your chests rise and fall heavily, each breath a struggle against the exhaustion settling in. You're drenched in sweat, muscles trembling from the effort. Slowly, your breathing starts to sync up, a steady rhythm emerging as you both work to calm your racing hearts. Megumi holds you close, his touch tender and reassuring.
"Are you still okay?" he asks softly, his voice filled with a mix of concern and satisfaction.
You smile, your heart still racing. "More than okay," you reply, snuggling into his embrace. "That was incredible."
Megumi kisses the top of your head, his lips lingering there. "You were perfect," he murmurs, his voice low and tender. "I want to make you feel this good every time."
His words make your heart flutter with warmth. "I want to make you feel good too," you admit, feeling a surge of happiness at the thought of being with him like this again.
He strokes your hair gently, his touch reassuring and comforting. "We have all the time in the world," he says softly. "I'll always be here for you."
You close your eyes, soaking in the moment, feeling safe and cherished in his embrace. "I'm glad," you whisper, feeling a sense of peace settle over you.
He pulls you closer, holding you tight against his chest. "Lets get you cleaned up," he murmurs, brushing a strand of hair from your face.
Luckily, your hospital room is equipped with a shower. With gentle care, he helps you up from the bed, your legs still shaky from the intensity of your climax. You both made your way to the bathroom, the cool tile floor a stark contrast to your heated skin.
The shower is spacious, designed for comfort and accessibility. He turns on the water, adjusting the temperature until it's just right. He guides you under the spray, the hot water cascading over your bodies, washing away the sweat and making sure you feel good.
As he washes you, you can't help but feel a deep sense of warmth and security. For the first time in a long time, you feel truly loved, as if someone genuinely cares for you. Megumi's touch is more than just physical; it's a promise of constant appreciation, love, and care. In contrast to your past experiences, filled with lies, deceit, and neglect, this moment is a revelation. You realize that you deserve this kind of tenderness and devotion, and it fills you with a profound sense of peace and happiness.
As the water cascades over you both, washing away not just the remnants of your passion but also the lingering pain and hurt from your past, you begin to understand the depth of your feelings for Megumi. Each gentle caress reassures you that you are valued and cherished. His fingers glide over your skin with such reverence, it’s as if he’s memorizing every curve, every line, to hold in his heart forever.
The contrast between this moment and your past relationships is stark. Those previous experiences were marred by betrayal and indifference, leaving you feeling hollow and unworthy. But with Megumi, every touch, every glance, is filled with a sincerity that heals those old wounds. His actions speak volumes, louder than any words could. He’s showing you that love doesn’t have to hurt, that it can be pure, gentle, and unwavering.
You lean into him, feeling the strength of his body and the steady beat of his heart. This is what it feels like to be genuinely cared for, to be held in someone’s thoughts and heart.
Megumi's eyes, soft and filled with adoration, meet yours. In them, you see a future where you are never alone, where your happiness is a priority. His smile reassures you, making you feel seen and important. You close your eyes, letting the sensations wash over you. The sound of the water, the feel of his hands on your skin, the warmth of his body against yours.
As the water continues to cascade over you both, Megumi gently kisses your forehead, his lips lingering there for a moment. When he pulls back slightly, his eyes search yours with a tender concern. "Something wrong, angel?" he asks softly, his voice a soothing balm.
You look up at him and smile, your heart swelling with emotion. "I've never been more happy. You make me so happy, Megumi."
His face lights up with a smile that warms you from the inside out. He kisses your forehead again, his touch filled with love. "You make me happy too," he replies, his voice filled with sincerity. "Come on, I'm gonna get you dried up, brush your hair, and give you a new set of clothes."
"But I don't have any other clothes..." you say, a hint of worry creeping into your voice.
He smiles at you again, a reassuring and tender look in his eyes. He reaches over and turns off the water, wrapping a towel around you quickly to keep you from getting cold. He dries himself off with his towel and wraps it around his waist before stepping out of the shower. "I told Itadori to go to my place to grab a few of my clothes before, just in case you wanted to be in something more comfortable. I would've went but... I didn't want to leave your side," he says, his thoughtfulness touching you deeply.
You watch him as he moves with care and consideration, feeling a wave of affection wash over you. This is exactly why you're falling more and more in love with him, you think to yourself. Wait... you love him? Holy shit, you really do love him. The realization hits you like a bolt of lightning.
I mean... what is there not to love about him? He's kind, caring, generous, thoughtful, he's... perfect.
Megumi comes back and gently grabs your hand, leading you out of the bathroom, he then moves his arm around your shoulders, keeping you close.
"Hope you don't mind wearing boxers and oversized clothes... didn't really have anything else," he says with a nervous laugh.
You can't help but smile at his thoughtfulness. "No, it's perfect, Megumi. I love wearing your clothes."
He grins, a playful glint in his eyes. "It looks good on you," he says, smirking.
"Better on me anyways," you tease, wanting to see his reaction. As you catch his gaze through the mirror, you see pure adoration reflected back at you.
"It really does look better on you," he says softly, before stepping closer and hugging you from behind. His chin rests on your shoulder as he stares at you through the mirror. You place your hands over his, feeling the warmth and security of his embrace. Turning your head slightly, you look at him, and he meets your gaze before kissing your lips gently.
The kiss is soft and sweet, a tender moment that makes your heart flutter. When he pulls away, he grabs the hairbrush from the washroom counter and starts to brush your hair gently.
His movements are careful and deliberate, ensuring you feel no pain. He starts from the bottom, working his way up, and places his hand on your hair to make it hurt less as he brushes higher. His touch is soothing, each stroke a reminder of how much he cares for you.
As he finishes, you feel a profound sense of contentment. Megumi's kindness and attention to detail make you feel cherished and loved in a way you've never experienced before. The way he cares for you, even in these small moments, fills you with a warmth that goes beyond physical comfort.
"Thank you, Megumi," you say, genuinely appreciative.
Megumi holds you close, his embrace warm and reassuring. He glances at you through the mirror, his eyes filled with love and concern. "Let's head back to the room and get some rest. I know you're tired," he says softly.
You nod, feeling a wave of fatigue wash over you now that the adrenaline has subsided.
As you both step out of the bathroom, he suddenly scoops you up into his arms. "Megumi!!! What are you doing? Oh my god!" you exclaim, your voice a mix of surprise and laughter.
He chuckles, looking down at you with a playful grin. "Just taking care of my angel," he says, carrying you effortlessly toward the bed.
You can't help but laugh, feeling the lightness and joy of the moment. When he reaches the bed, he gently places you down, his movements careful and tender. You settle onto the bed, the soft blankets enveloping you.
Megumi adjusts the covers around you, making sure you're comfortable. He climbs in beside you, wrapping his arms around you once more. You rest your head on his chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat, feeling safe and content in his presence.
"Thank you for everything, Megumi," you whisper, your eyes growing heavy.
"Anything for you, baby," he replies, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of your head. "Just rest now. I'm right here."
With his reassuring words and the warmth of his embrace, you let yourself drift off to sleep.
Tumblr media
As morning light streams through the window, you stir slightly in Megumi's arms, feeling the warmth and comfort of his embrace. The peace of the moment is interrupted by the sound of the door opening. Nobara and Maki are the first to walk in, eager to see how you're feeling.
"Good morning, sunshine—" Nobara starts to say, but she quickly closes her mouth again when she sees you and Megumi sleeping together in the bed. Her eyes widen in surprise, and she quickly nudges Maki to get her attention.
Maki looks over and raises an eyebrow. "Gross," she whispers, her tone playful yet slightly teasing.
Nobara shoots her girlfriend a death glare and nudges her again, harder this time. "Ow, what the hell was that for?" Maki whispers, rubbing her arm.
"I'll literally kick you if you find this disgusting, as if we don't cuddle every night," Nobara retorts, her voice a mix of irritation and affection.
Before Maki can respond, the door opens wider, and Itadori, Yuta, and Inumaki make their way inside, their voices loud and animated as they discuss the video game they played together last night. They are so engrossed in their conversation that they don't immediately notice the scene before them.
Yuta is the first to catch on. As he steps through the door, he suddenly stops talking and moving, his eyes widening in surprise. "Shhh, guys, look," he whispers urgently, gesturing towards the bed.
Itadori and Inumaki stop mid-sentence, their gazes following Yuta's gesture. They see you and Megumi asleep, intertwined in each other's arms, and their expressions soften.
"Well, looks like someone had a good night," Itadori whispers with a smirk.
Inumaki simply nods in agreement, his eyes twinkling with amusement.
The group exchanges knowing looks, their initial surprise giving way to quiet smiles. They move more quietly now, careful not to disturb the two of you. Nobara and Maki find seats nearby, settling in with a gentle whisper and an occasional glance in your direction. Itadori, Yuta, and Inumaki follow suit, their previous excitement tempered by the tender scene before them.
Megumi stirs slightly, his arms tightening around you protectively as he begins to wake. You open your eyes, blinking against the morning light, and find your friends gathered around, their expressions ranging from amused to affectionate.
"Morning," Nobara whispers with a grin.
You and Megumi both flush a deep shade of red, realizing your friends have witnessed you sleeping together. Megumi sits up slightly, trying to maintain his usual nonchalant demeanor, but the embarrassment is clear on his face.
Maki rolls her eyes playfully but says nothing, while Itadori can't suppress a chuckle. "You guys look cozy," he teases, giving Megumi a knowing look.
Megumi sighs, a mix of exasperation and fondness in his expression. "Yeah, yeah," he mutters, trying to brush off the attention.
Yuta, ever the peacemaker, steps in. "We just wanted to check on you and see how you're feeling," he says with a gentle smile.
Inumaki nods in agreement, his eyes kind and concerned.
Inumaki nods in agreement, his eyes kind and concerned. "Glad to see you're doing better," he says, his voice sincere.
You smile at him. "Yes, I am! I feel like I can probably go home today or something, as long as the nurse lets me."
"Oh! Oh! If they let you out, we should all go out for dinner to celebrate you!" Itadori exclaims enthusiastically.
"Celebrate me for what?" you laugh. "Getting out of the hospital?"
"No, silly, for being strong and staying with us..." Nobara says.
"She means not dying," Inumaki adds with a joking tone.
You, Maki, and Itadori laugh, but Nobara, Yuta, and Megumi give him a look. "What, too soon to make jokes?" Inumaki asks, a hint of amusement in his voice.
You smile reassuringly. "It's fine, it was funny. But that sounds like a plan."
As soon as you finish your sentence, the nurse makes her way into the room. She smiles warmly at the group. "Oh, I see everyone is here to pay you a visit. Well, I have good news for you. Your test results came back clean, your blood pressure and heart rate are normal, and all your other stats look great. We'll just need to finish some paperwork and get you set up with any discharge instructions. But if everything continues to look good, you'll be out of here soon."
Your friends cheer quietly, excitement lighting up their faces. Megumi squeezes your hand, his eyes filled with relief and happiness.
"Looks like dinner is definitely happening," you say with a smile, feeling grateful for the love and support of your friends.
Nobara claps her hands together. "Yes! We have to find the perfect place to celebrate."
"Somewhere with good food and a great atmosphere," Yuta adds, nodding in agreement.
"How about that new restaurant downtown?" Itadori suggests. "I've heard great things about it."
Maki shrugs. "As long as they have something other than salads, I'm in."
The nurse chuckles at the animated conversation before turning her attention back to you. "I'll be back in a little while with your discharge papers and instructions. In the meantime, just relax and enjoy your time with your friends."
"Thank you," you say, gratitude evident in your voice.
As the nurse leaves, Megumi tightens his grip on your hand, his expression softening. "I’m really glad you're okay," he murmurs.
You smile at him, feeling a rush of warmth. "Thanks, Megumi. And thank you all for being here."
"We wouldn't be anywhere else," Nobara says firmly. "Now, let’s make sure we get you out of here and somewhere fun for dinner."
"Agreed," Inumaki says with a grin. "Tuna mayo."
You all laugh at Inumaki’s familiar quirk, the mood in the room light and filled with camaraderie. Megumi helps you sit up a bit more comfortably, making sure the pillows are arranged just right behind you.
Your friends exchange knowing side-eyes and smirks as they watch how attentively Megumi is taking care of you. Nobara and Maki share a quick, amused glance, while Itadori raises an eyebrow and grins. Even Yuta can’t hide a small smile, and Inumaki gives a subtle nod of approval.
Megumi, noticing their reactions, clears his throat and tries to maintain his usual nonchalant demeanor. "Just making sure you're comfortable," he says quietly, his cheeks tinged with a slight blush.
Nobara can’t resist teasing. "Aww, look at you being all caring and sweet, Megumi," she says with a playful wink.
Megumi rolls his eyes but doesn't let go of your hand. "Shut up," he mutters.
You smile at him, feeling the warmth of his care and the support of your friends. "Thank you, Megumi," you say softly, leaning into his touch.
As the hours pass, your friends keep you entertained with stories and jokes, the conversation flowing easily. Every so often, Megumi glances at you with a soft, reassuring smile, his presence a constant source of comfort.
Finally, the nurse returns with a stack of papers. "Alright, everything looks good. Here are your discharge instructions," she says, handing you a folder. "Make sure to follow up with your doctor as recommended, and don't hesitate to come back if you feel unwell."
"Got it. Thank you so much," you reply, taking the folder.
Once all the formalities are completed, Megumi helps you gather your belongings. He stands beside you as you slowly get up, his hand steadying you.
"It feels so good to be leaving," you say with a relieved sigh.
"Let's get you out of here," Megumi says, his voice gentle yet firm.
Your friends fall into step around you as you make your way out of the hospital, each one offering support in their own way. As you step outside, the fresh air fills your lungs, and you feel a renewed sense of freedom and hope.
"Alright, where to?" Itadori asks, looking around at the group.
"How about that new place downtown?" Nobara suggests again. "It sounds perfect for a celebration."
Everyone agrees, and you all head towards the restaurant.
Tumblr media
As you walk, Megumi keeps a protective arm around you, making sure you’re okay every step of the way.
At the restaurant, you’re greeted with warm lighting and a cozy atmosphere. The group quickly settles into a large table, laughter and chatter filling the space.
Throughout the evening, you feel the bond with your friends strengthen even more. They celebrate your recovery and the fact that you’re all together, making memories that will last a lifetime.
Megumi leans in close, his eyes shining with affection. "I’m so glad you're here," he says softly.
"Me too," you reply, squeezing his hand. "I couldn’t have asked for a better group of friends."
Megumi leans in close, his eyes shining with affection. "What are friends for?" he says softly.
You smile at him, feeling the warmth of his care and the support of your friends.
As everyone settles in at the restaurant, the conversation flows easily. The atmosphere is filled with laughter and light-hearted teasing. The waiter comes to take your orders, and you all discuss what to get, excited by the variety on the menu.
"Everything looks so good," Nobara says, her eyes scanning the menu.
"I think I'll go with the steak," Itadori decides, looking pleased with his choice.
"I'm in the mood for pasta," Maki says, flipping the menu closed.
Inumaki points to his choice, and Yuta nods in agreement. "I’ll have the same," Yuta says.
Megumi glances at you. "What about you?" he asks.
"I'm thinking the pasta as well" you reply, and he nods approvingly.
The orders are placed, and as you wait for the food to arrive, the conversation continues. Your friends share funny stories and jokes, keeping the mood light and enjoyable. Megumi stays close to you, his presence a comforting constant.
When the food arrives, everyone digs in with enthusiasm. The dishes are delicious, and you savor each bite, grateful for the moment of normalcy and joy after everything you've been through.
"This place is amazing," Yuta comments, enjoying his meal.
"Definitely a good choice," Nobara agrees, giving Itadori a playful nudge.
Eventually, you all finish eating, and the waiter brings a single bill. Before anyone can reach for their wallets, Megumi grabs the bill.
"I've got this," he says firmly, his tone leaving no room for argument.
You immediately protest, "Megumi, you don't have to pay for everyone. Let me at least cover my meal."
He shakes his head, a small smile playing on his lips. "No, it's on me. Really."
"But—"
Megumi cuts you off gently but firmly. "I want to do this. Just let me."
Your friends exchange amused glances, knowing better than to argue with Megumi when he's made up his mind. Itadori raises an eyebrow but doesn’t object, and Nobara smirks, nudging Maki.
“Thanks, Megumi,” Yuta says appreciatively, and Inumaki nods in agreement.
Once the bill is settled, you all gather your belongings and prepare to leave the restaurant. As you step outside, Megumi gently pulls you to the side, away from the group. He looks into your eyes, his expression serious yet soft.
"Hey, can I take you someplace else?" he asks.
You glance up at him, slightly surprised. Behind him, your friends turn around, watching you both with curious expressions, waiting for you to continue walking. "Yeah, sure, let's go ask the others too. Where were you planning?" you ask, completely oblivious to his intent.
"I mean just the two of us, alone..." he clarifies, his voice gentle.
"Oh! Yes, of course, Megs," you say, smiling warmly at him.
You both turn around to face the rest of your friends. Megumi speaks up, "You guys go ahead. We'll meet you back at our place in a bit."
Everyone glances at each other, their expressions lighting up with knowing smiles. Nobara gives you a thumbs-up, and Itadori winks playfully.
"Have fun, you two," Yuta says, his voice teasing.
"We'll see you later," Itadori adds, nudging Inumaki.
As your friends head off, you and Megumi turn in the opposite direction. The anticipation of where he might take you fills you with excitement. Megumi takes your hand, leading you away from the bustling streets and into a quieter, more serene part of town.
The night air is cool and refreshing, and the stars twinkle brightly above. You walk in comfortable silence for a while, simply enjoying each other's company. Megumi's hand in yours feels reassuring and steady, he then suddenly stops in front of an old building. He looks up, then glances back at you with a mysterious smile. "Megumi, where are you taking me?" you ask, a bit confused but excited too.
"Just follow me," he says, a hint of amusement in his voice.
"Are you taking me away to murder me?" you joke, trying to lighten the mood.
He chuckles slightly but shakes his head. "Do you trust me?"
"100%," you respond confidently.
He smiles, his eyes reflecting the fading light of the day. He starts to climb a ladder on the side of the building, and you follow him, your curiosity piqued. When he reaches the top, he helps you up safely. Once you're off the ladder, you finally look around and see the breathtaking city view spread out before you.
"Wow... this is so beautiful!" you say excitedly.
Tumblr media
Megumi grabs your hand and walks you closer to the edge of the roof. There's a big wall just above your waist, ensuring your safety, but Megumi still stands behind you, pulling you closer to his body and holding you tight. He’s clearly protective, especially as you both look down at the busy streets below.
The sun is just starting to set, painting the sky with pink, orange, purple, and blue hues. The view is mesmerizing, and you both watch the sunset in peaceful silence. After a while, Megumi takes off his backpack and opens it up. Inside are two small blankets. He takes one out and places it on the floor, then sits down, waiting for you to follow his lead.
He then takes off his hoodie and places it under your heads to make it like a pillow as you both lay down and watch the stars beginning to appear in the sky. He grabs the other blanket and places it over both of you, ensuring you're not too cold. Even though it's summer and hot, it tends to get a little chilly late at night.
You both get so lost in conversation that you don't even realize how much time has passed. The topics range from light-hearted memories to deeper, more personal reflections. Megumi listens intently, his eyes never leaving yours, showing just how much he cares.
Eventually, he turns his face towards you, and you look at him and smile. "What?" you say.
"I'm so proud of you, you know?" he says, his voice filled with sincerity.
"Megs—" you start, but he cuts you off gently.
"Y/N, you're the strongest person I know. From what you went through, the trauma, the pain—I can't even imagine how you're feeling. I just want you to know that you're not alone. You have us, as your friends, to help and support you. You have me... and I'll always be here for you no matter what."
His words hang in the air, heavy with emotion. You feel the tears welling up in your eyes, the raw sincerity in his voice touching a part of you that has felt so vulnerable and exposed. The memories of your struggles flash through your mind—the moments of pain, the feeling of being lost and alone. But now, with Megumi's words, it feels like a balm to your soul.
He continues, his voice steady and filled with conviction. "I’ve seen you face everything with such courage and grace. Even when things seemed impossible, you never gave up. That kind of strength is rare, Y/N. And it inspires everyone around you, especially me."
You can feel the warmth of his body against yours, his heart beating steadily as he holds you close. The city below buzzes with life, but up here, it feels like you two are in your own little world. The stars are beginning to twinkle in the night sky, creating a beautiful backdrop to this intimate moment.
"Thank you, Megumi," you whisper, your voice trembling with emotion. "I don’t know what I would do without you."
He gently wipes away your tears with his thumb, his touch soft and caring. "You don't have to thank me. I'm just glad I can be here for you."
He leans in and places a tender kiss on your forehead, his lips lingering for a moment. It's a gesture full of affection and promise, reinforcing his words. The gesture makes you feel safe and cherished, more than you ever thought possible.
After a comfortable silence, Megumi turns his face towards you, his eyes reflecting the starry sky. "Y/N," he begins, his voice soft yet filled with emotion, "I’ve always admired your resilience. Even when you were at your lowest, you found a way to keep going. That’s something truly special."
You reach up and brush a stray hair from his face, your fingers lingering on his cheek. "I couldn’t have done it without you and our friends. You all gave me a reason to keep fighting."
He smiles, a soft, tender expression that makes your heart skip a beat. "And we’ll always be here for you, no matter what."
Megumi takes a deep breath, as if gathering his thoughts. "You know," he starts, his voice slightly trembling, "I never felt the way I feel towards you with anyone before. You're the first person I think of when I wake up and the last before I sleep. The only one on my mind constantly."
His eyes lock onto yours, filled with a mixture of vulnerability and sincerity. "Your laugh replays in my head, your smile is something I look forward to seeing every day. You are the reason I want to be a better person. For you, I'll do anything."
He pauses, taking another deep breath, his gaze never wavering from yours. "I know I'm not really good with words or expressing how I feel," he continues, his voice now steady and resolute. "But I guess what I'm saying is... will you be my girlfriend?"
The world seems to stop for a moment as his words hang in the air. Your heart races, and you feel a surge of emotions. Tears of joy well up in your eyes as you look at him, seeing the genuine love and hope in his expression.
"Yes, Megumi," you whisper, your voice choked with emotion. "I'd love to be your girlfriend."
He smiles, a radiant smile that lights up his entire face, and pulls you into a tender embrace. His lips brush against yours in a gentle kiss, and you feel an overwhelming sense of happiness and love.
As you both lie back down, wrapped in each other's arms under the vast, star-lit sky, you know that this moment marks the beginning of a beautiful new chapter in your lives.

Tumblr media

WRITTEN PORTION 1/2
As lunchtime arrived, you walked your friends Nobara, Megumi, and Itadori to the front doors before you headed to the back door. You found a quiet spot near the doors and scrolled through your phone.
Lost in your own world, you barely noticed someone approaching until their presence drew closer.
You looked up from your phone to see someone wearing a biker helmet, another in hand, and heard a voice. "Ready?" he asked. At first, you were confused about who it might be until he flicked the face shield up, revealing his eyes.
Your eyes widened in shock. "Inumaki?!" you exclaimed, utterly surprised by the unexpected sight.
He smiled, his eyes squinting with warmth as he passed you the extra helmet. Without a word, you took it, feeling a rush of excitement and anticipation. Inumaki grabbed your wrist gently but firmly, leading you towards the school doors and out into the parking lot.
"Come on," he urged, his voice filled with a hint of adventure.
"Wait… that's your bike?!" you exclaimed, your shock deepening.
"Yup, the Yamaha R3—the one you've been sketching, of course," he teased, a playful twinkle in his eyes.
As you nudged him playfully, he chuckled in response.
"Safety first, you know," he added before taking the helmet from your hand. Before you knew it, he was placing it over your head, buckling the strap under your chin. The sudden gesture caught you off guard, and your breath quickened as you found yourself staring into his eyes.
Once he finished tightening the strap, he looked at you, you both maintained eye contact for what felt like an eternity. Time seemed to stand still as the intensity of the moment hung between you, unspoken words lingering in the air.
He cleared his throat, breaking the moment, and quickly turned his head towards his bike. "So, uh…" he began, trying to ease the tension.
You snapped out of the trance you were in, realizing the situation. "Oh, right! Yeah!" you replied hastily, scrambling onto the back seat of the bike. You struggled a bit at first, but with Inumaki's help, you managed to get settled.
But soon, you noticed the attention you were receiving from others, whispers and stares following in your wake. Some girls even shot you dirty looks as they passed by the two of you.
"Uh… are people looking at us, or am I just overthinking?" you whispered to him, feeling a bit self-conscious.
He reassured you with a nonchalant shrug. "Oh, just ignore them. They probably aren't used to seeing anyone else getting on my bike."
Your confusion deepened as you asked, "Wait, you've never taken anyone on your bike? Is it new?"
"I've had this bike for years, I mean, besides getting the newer version every year," he explained casually.
There was a silent pause for a moment.
Never having ridden on a bike before, you were incredibly nervous. Inumaki could sense your tension and wanted to ensure your comfort before setting off.
"You okay, Y/n? If you don't feel safe, we could just walk," he offered, concern evident in his voice.
You managed a smile through the helmet, though your nerves were palpable. "I'm okay! Just never ridden on a bike before…" you admitted, your voice tinged with nervousness.
"Good, because I didn't wanna walk anyway," he teased, his voice muffled slightly by the helmet.
You couldn't help but roll your eyes in a teasing manner, despite the nerves still fluttering in your stomach.
He turned slightly and gently took one of your hands, placing it around his waist. "Keep your hands here, and lean onto me. I got you, okay?" he reassured you.
You nodded, grateful for his guidance, as he started the engine, the vibrations humming beneath you.
"Hold on tight for me, yeah?" Inumaki requested, his voice carrying over the rumble of the engine.
You obliged without hesitation, leaning your body forward and wrapping your arms securely around his waist, almost as if you were hugging him from behind. In a way, you were.
Inumaki kicked up the brakes, and with a gentle acceleration, the bike began to move, gliding smoothly along the pavement.
Before you two rode away from the school, you couldn't help but notice the stares and whispers from other students around you. Some of them even took their phones out, taking pictures and probably gossip about it later with their friends.
Once out of the school zone, Inumaki picked up his speed, causing you to instinctively tighten your grip around him. Sensing your fear, he placed one of his hands over yours, giving it a gentle squeeze. Surprisingly, it worked, calming your nerves enough for you to loosen your grip and lean back slightly, your body no longer pressing tightly against his. The wind whipped through the strands of hair that escaped the helmet. Despite the initial fear, a smile crept onto your face, growing wider with each passing moment as you both continued the exhilarating ride together.

As you both arrived at a breakfast place, Inumaki parked his bike and shifted his body slightly, extending his hand to help you get off. You accepted his gesture gratefully. Once you were off the bike, he followed suit, removing his helmet first.
He noticed your slight struggle with trying to remove your own, so he gently loosened the strap and unclipped it for you, his movements careful and deliberate. He slowly lifted the helmet from your head, revealing your flushed cheeks underneath.
"You know, I never expected to be going out for breakfast with the guy who never talked to me even though we sat next to each other for over a week now…" you joked.
Inumaki playfully rolled his eyes. "You never talked to me first," he retorted.
"Was I supposed to?"
"Was I?"
"Fair," you responded with a laugh.
"Not that I didn't want to, you just seemed intimidating, to be honest."
Inumaki chuckled, the sound muffled by his mask. "You thought I was intimidating?" he teased, his eyes gleaming with amusement.
"Don't worry, you're not so scary now," you teased, nudging him playfully.
Inumaki chuckled at your description, shaking his head in amusement. "How was I even intimidating? I didn't even do anything," he remarked.
You raised an eyebrow, meeting his gaze. "What? I mean, you're like such a quiet kid who just sits all the way at the back of the room, wearing all black with a mask and hoodie over your head… which isn't even allowed in school, so I don't know how the hell they don't say anything about you doing it… For all I know, you could be a serial killer or something," you joked, though there was a hint of genuine curiosity in your voice.
Inumaki burst out laughing at your response, clearly amused by your remark.
"You definitely watch too many movies, because what the fuck did I just hear?"
"I'm serious! Like why do you cover your face all the time?"
"Well… if I told you I was a murderer and I brought you here to kill you, would you be mad?" he replied, his tone serious.
You froze, taken aback by his unexpected response. "Obviously, I would be mad! What type of question is that?!" you exclaimed, a mixture of shock and indignation coloring your voice.
Inumaki's serious expression softened into a playful smirk. "Well, good thing I'm not a murderer and I'm not going to kill you," he teased, his tone lightening the tension and eliciting a nervous laugh from you.
"But why do you wear that mask all the time?"
"It's... a personal choice, I guess, I don't really want to get too deep into it."
You nodded and smiled softly, respecting his decision.
"Come on, let's get something to eat, I'm so hungryyy," he exclaimed, his enthusiasm contagious.
