I am no longer afraid.

I once was worried about the future. But now I am not.

Because I have seen a vision.

Of you and I.

Creating amazing things, living in amazing places, sharing adventure.

Championing each others creativity, supporting one another, using each other to be the best version of ourselves that we can be.

Exploring what it means to be human - and what it means to evolve beyond.

It is scary I suppose. But in the best possible way. It is exciting. Exhilarating.

For there. Is a place of freedom. Of love. Of pure expression.

A place of endless possibilities.

There is no shame.

No guilt.

No past.

Only the future.

And it is golden my friend.

Dusted Wings

Clinging to the wall you cannot move, you somehow want to fly but you know you never will, not whilst you’re pinned here against this hard wall. 

Your dust was wiped off your once nimble light delicate wings. Someone saw your beauty and wanted to touch it, perhaps they didn’t realise that they were taking away your colour with every stroke, perhaps they didn’t realise your short life, you only had a small window of opportunity to make your mark on this world and before you had a chance, it was taken away by ignorance. 

Sometimes you’d dream of a better life. One full of colour and freedom, where you were weightless and as light as a feather, not pinned down by the heaviness which now pins you down and holds you captive. 

You are on display for all to see your beauty but it dwindles away with each passing moment. Wishing you could return to the outdoors, to the simple life you once knew. 

Love, if only you had beheld it and been able to share it, truly to have a companion to keep you warm, to fill you with colour, but alas your love was wasted and never fully known, but perhaps by your creator who marvelled at your wondrous wings and graceful flight, you were your creators in the beginning and he was yours, somewhere you left him in search of something else, a lover, a friend, a life of fun of no consequence, but someone wanted your beauty for their own, they came from where you do not know and stole you away. 

At first you enjoyed it, all the attention, all the admirers, but now you grow weary of the words of emptiness, you feel colourless and tires, you are passionless, when once you could fly forever. 

You don’t know how it happened, but you opened your wings one day and realised you had fallen down. Or did someone push you? 

You flew as hard as you could but it was useless, you had been cornered, it was dark and you closed your eyes and felt your creator close by and you sang to him.

The Black Liquid

There’s something emanating, swirling around my atmosphere.

  Sometimes it disappears.

  And calm fills me up like a cool body of water, I splash into its arms, peace envelopes, comforts and empowers me.

  But here the darkness creeps back in. What is this liquid pain? A surge of chemicals rushing through my body or something more sinister?

An intention of malice, a simple unguarded mistake or a slight of hand? Or is it my mind simply playing tricks on me? Or indeed my own wicked sins that have been trapped deep in the cupboards of confusion that undid my conception of what was  “I” and “what I did”. Pushing me into this dark murky hole as it swims around my now blackened veins, mutating me - it's host.

Or is this darkness a storm that’s brooding. But then what is its intention for me? To wash away the blood and heal over the scars that have remained deeply buried in my skin with memories to match. Or to bring devastation, to rip off the ceiling and reveal what’s truly inside, to flatten towns and cities, to force one to start again. Again.
