house is insane. He calls remy 13 as if shes still just a number to him but also treats her like his kid half the time. He was the only one not to write kutner an obituary but his death hit him so hard he ended up in the psych ward. He faked DNA evidence in court to save a guy he actively dislikes half the time. Hes the most selfish man alive and he blames himself for everything. Hes constantly meddling in his fellows and friends lives because he doesnt know how to actually be involved with people in any way other than Scheming and Plotting. And every time he tries to get better he gets beaten back into being a miserable old man

house: well in med school they only taught me to operate on humans 

cuddy: do your job. clinic hours

house: boobies

patient: who are you

house: i am doctor house. you're a queer

patient: hey

house: you know those meds my team put you on

patient: i suppose

house: i'm removing them

*patient's hair suddenly turns blue*

house: crash cart! 

*nurses come in*

house: are the nurses otherkin too. because we here at princeton-plainboro treat them like they're three-fifths human 

patient: i'm tiktokking about this

cuddy: have you seen the patient's tiktok. do you know the PR storm this will generate

house: blast these mobile phones

cuddy: you need to apologise

house: no. hey can i fucking kill this patient

cuddy: yes. i mean no

wilson: when are you going to apologise house

house: how come you didn't give me your personal snap

wilson: how do you know about that

house: i stole your phone and bought your password on a black market site online

wilson: i didn't give you my snap because you are a neer do well house. i don't see why it matters to you though, it's not like you don't know everything about me

*house leaves the room*

*house pushes a polygamist couple in wheelchairs out of the way and enters the patient's room*

house: i've solved the riddle

foreman: you took the patient off the meds and he got worse. hmm.

house: i wish you were queer so i could unjustly fire you. anyhoo, the answer was simpler than it seemed. the patient is right.

cameron: whatever do you mean

house: the human self, for all it's flaws, is very good at one thing - narcissism. we're hardwired that way, especially women. the illness *wacky graphic zoom in* was attacking his chromosomes. the patient was, in a sense, not human. bad news champ - your sense of otherkin identity is a medical mishap that will be fixed

patient: but i derive my sense of identity from my otherkinness

house: don't care

patient: leave it in! my identity is my choice, and even if it is medical it's still who i am

house: but look at your tiktok comments. you see, i stole your phone and posted this conundrum as a story or whatever and asked the comments for their recommendation, and they agreed. ed sheeran duetted it too

patient: zoo wee mama. can i have some coke

house: skibidi rizz

Scrapping my entire long fic idea and just turning Donnie into Gregory House

I love House actually. I love that he has chronic pain. I love how in one episode he goes home to sleep bc his pain is bad. I love how in season one, when they call him back to the hospital to search for the missing kid, he admits that he’s useless, but also he still comes in. I love that in the episode where he trolls Kutner and Taub with the fake patient death, he falls asleep while waiting for them. I love how fatigue and pain are so closely bound. I love the episode with the suicidal chronic pain patient where House says “he’s not in pain because he’s depressed; he’s depressed because he’s in pain.” I love how closely pain and misery are tied in the show, feedback loops into each other. The show is far from perfect, but it has so many shining moments. Through acting and costume and writing choices, House is clearly, visibly, and behaviorally IN PAIN. And I eat it up.

This has nothing to do with my migraines and neck spasms whatsoever I’m sure

House using Wilson's chest as a whiteboard because he recieved a call about the patient while they were having sex, had half an epiphany and needed to see the symptoms all in the same place lol.

(@/unfrozenpeas here on tumblr has a little sketch about that scenario but it's so funny so I kinda wanna know what your take on it is)
