It’s that time of the year again, travelers of the night, that we bring you another month of prompts for Moon KnightCember! 🌙✨ This list contains a variety of words we had saved when making last year’s list, as well as a few new ones to add to the winter themes! This time, it’s a smaller, more spaced out list that gives you some time between each prompt :)

Just like last year, this list is for all forms of Moon Knight, as well as all kinds of fan work, from writing to illustration to craft and more! When participating, use the tag #MKCember2024 and tag me!

Make sure to read the additional slides to get more info on some of our prompts 💜 I hope you all enjoy, and happy creating!!

Slide 1: A stylized prompt list for Moon Knight-Cember, a Moon Knight themed prompt list for the month of December. The list is drawn to look as if it’s a price sheet on a snowy taxi cab window. The prompts read:

December 1st: Tire Tracks, December 4th: Luna Llena, December 7th: Window Pain (pain spelled as in painful), December 10th: Ijo de ken sos tu? The rules are in all caps and scrawled to the side of the prompts. They read: No smokin’, no eatin’ or drinkin’, feet stay on floor. A note at the bottom reads: O me voy a golpear tu cara!!

Luna Llena: Spanish for “full moon.”

Ijo de ken sos tu?: Ladino for “You are the child of whom?”; the Sephardic version of playing Jewish geography, asking where one grew up to find mutual Jewish connections.

Bimuelos: fritter-like treat that’s often had in Sephardic homes during Hanukkah.

Fear not, travelers!

The Fist of Khonshu may be busy fighting ghosts and ghouls this October, but Moon Knight will return for a month of creative prompts this December. Open to comic and show work alike, a collaborative collection has been put together that we hope will spark an array of awesome work! Stay tuned for the announcement of the full list in the coming months. We hope to see you there!

Hogwarts Legacy update!

We've confirmed the plot: there's an uprising among the race of hook-nosed bankers who control the economy. (Note that the more evil they are, the bigger their noses are. There's a good one who has a big nose but he used to be evil when he was younger.) They're "rebelling" because they want their stolen cultural artefacts to be returned to them and want to not be oppressed anymore, which for some reason means they also want to massacre their oppressors' entire race, because of course marginalised people asking for liberation actually secretly want to kill you. As part of this sinister cabal's nefarious plot for white—I mean, wizard—extinction, they want to kidnap a child, because that's what hook-nosed bankers like to do, right? And their leader is willing to do anything for material gain, up to and including teaming up with fascists who hate his race.

You guys know that conspiracy theorists think Jews funded the Holocaust, right? They claim we did it so we could milk it for reparation money afterwards. And did you know they think we kidnap children? Or that we actually want supremacy rather than equality, and plan to subjugate the rest of the world for our own gain? Presumably you've at least heard the claim that we control the banks. And you know this is all very popular with the alt right, don't you? Have you also heard that this game's original head developer was an alt right YouTuber?

Don't act like this is a fucking coincidence.

No, JKR wasn't involved in the game, and it's actively intended to be trans-positive. Yes, she gets money from it, and will likely donate some of that to anti-trans causes. But even if you pirate the game so she doesn't make any money off of it, you're still going to be be playing the fucking Protocols of the Elders of Gringotts.

So, as people are seeing the pretty extreme antisemitism in the new terf wizard game, it should be noted that this was not a case of "following existing antisemitic fantasy tropes". This was purposeful. The ex lead designer is alt right and ran an alt right "anti social justice" youtube channel. The discovery of this channel and the resulting controversy lead to him later being removed from the project late in development but the main premise of the game was determined by him and others with his views. The core concept of this game is antisemitic and fully intended to be. It is not a case of thoughtless devs or lack of cultural sensitivity. This game is intended to be antisemitic propaganda designed and developed by openly alt right devs.

So uuuh, sorry about kinda disappearing on here, I kinda faded away for a bit.

I’m having the same difficulty that I had before with being on tumblr and so therefore, my inactivity on here is indefinite.

I thought maybe becoming connected with the Moon Knight community here would help me feel more motivated to post and share, but it hasn’t. It feels harder to keep up, and every time I try, I just feel bad that I might have missed something or that I don’t have the time (or energy) to engage with stuff like I want to. I also wanna take a moment to appreciate all the support and love people have given on my stuff these past months. I’m sorry I haven’t acknowledged it very much, but I mean it: y’all have been lovely and wonderful 💜✨

He’s waiting for you at a cramped table in the corner, still looking like he hasn’t had a good night’s sleep in years. Hair unkempt and frazzled, much like the man himself. His entire body is bowed and hunching in on itself like he’s afraid of taking up too much space—the whole of him one big apology for even existing. He’s nothing much to look at, not until he looks up and sees you, and then his whole face lights up with amazed delight. 

There’s something about his hopeful, nervous smile that tells you this isn’t a ploy or misguided attempt at negging. Not some weird power game to show you that he’s just not that into you. Something about those big round puppy-dog eyes, filled with awe and gratitude for your presence, tells an entirely different story: he’s the one who thought he was being stood up tonight. For whatever reason, this man genuinely seems to believe it’s Saturday.
