Bonnie Bennett thought meeting her boyfriend's family would be fun times.

Turns out she was wrong.

A short multi chapter in which Bonnie Bennett has to spend the next week of her life in a not so quite right mansion, putting up with the likes of her boyfriend's insufferable brother. Bonkai. BK Halloween submission. Four parter.

Red creeps into her vision, turning her glare murderous. And when he sees this, he begins, his tone offhand, “Oh, I’m sorry. Am I being rude again?”

What a prick.

“You know you're kind of despicable?” she tells him, folding her arms over her chest, not lifting up on her glare, hoping the lasers she’s shooting his way burns holes through his skull. “Seriously, I don't think I’ve ever been insulted so much in my life”

He doesn't look away this time when she calls him out on his rudeness, he keeps his dark eyed gaze locked onto her own,

“And yet you're still here enduring every minute of it”

Kat in that black dress is definitely giving Bonnie arriving at the Mystic Falls gangs funeral after leaving them all to die. Like THAT energy!!. But on a serious note Kat looked gorgeous in that look, everything from the dress to the lip color was a serve. A true bad bitch 😍

Yes to all of this! One of my favorite Kat looks hands down!

What kind of scenes do you think each of the main actors in tvd do well?

Paul Wesley and Kat Graham

I think they’re the best actors on the show so I think they have the most range

but I particularly love how expressive they both are during emotionally charged scenes

like you can see the absolute dejection in their eyes

Candice King

Candice does tortured really well and no one quite does it like her except for maybe Michael Trevino. I believe the pain, her screams are visceral

Michael Trevino

I didn’t really pay attention to Michael until he had to pretend to be Klaus and I thought he did a great job emulating Joseph’s inflections and Klaus’ demeanour but he also did tortured well

Zach Roerig

Zach isn’t given enough credit for crying, he’s a good crier, he doesn’t have the same kind of expressiveness as Kat and Paul but he’s believable

Nina Dobrev

I mean … Nina is at her best across from Paul, like she comes alive, she does little nuances with him, I’ve always said that so her scenes are any kind of Dobsley scenes

I always bring up 1x09 because for most of the episode Nina isn’t interacting with Paul and she’s just adequate, she’s overshadowed by Kat and Candice and then she and Paul are in their scenes together and she suddenly just has this presence.

Ian Somerhalder

Ian, is like, he does his best work with Kat and I’ve always said it’s because he comes across as less Damon with Kat, which is another way of me saying he comes across as more natural and less performative with Kat because I think Ian is at best, which is rarely, when he doesn’t try. Like when I think of his very very few funny moments it’s when he’s not overacting

and with Kat, Ian just lets their chemistry do its thing, he doesn’t try to steer it in any way and that brings out his better performances because this is like, SHUT UP because I can SEE Ian being like PASSION, LOVE, DECLARATION

whereas with this, he’s just going with the energy of the scene.

not tvd stans crying bc k*t didn’t post anything about the 10 year anniversary when they were the same ones calling her an irrelevant flop, and saying her character wasn’t even important, they hate to see it

Lol, so which is it? Is she an irrelevant flop or should she have commemorated her time of being tortured and murdered repeatedly for the TVD anniversary? I need these folks to figure it out lmao.

Why do you think Kat is such a good actress? I think she was alright but I feel like we didn't get to see her do anything spectacular because they never wrote any profound storylines for her character (which isn't her fault).

I think she’s the best actress on the show because she has a lot of presence as Bonnie, every time she’s paired with someone, even if it’s Elena having the profound emotional moment or if it’s Caroline or Jeremy, Kat’s the one who steals the scene because she understands emotional nuance in a way I don’t think any other actor except for Paul understands on the show.

Like Nina looks vaguely emotional but Kat is living it.

Same with Candice

Like in 1x03 she’s hardly in the episode, the episode is dedicated to Elena and Stefan with cheerleading and football and figuring out their lives, Damon’s diabolical plan and abusing Caroline and Vicki dogging Jeremy with Tyler in the background and Matt pining for Elena, Bonnie is there talking about how she’s a witch for like 3 minutes and then it’s about her being protective of Elena but when she realizes that her prediction came true and people are dead, that shock and that horror is expressed really well

she does a lot with what little she’s given, it makes me want to see more of her onscreen. I believe the emotions that she’s portraying, it doesn’t feel superficial or look superficial

Her ranges are good, I believe giddy, happy Bonnie

she brings it and I only ever felt like she stopped in season 8 and checked out with the rest of the cast.
