Studying Abroad for One Year
Tumblr media
For many people, studying abroad would be very exciting and funny. But others think that it carries some discussions and disadvantages.
If you desire to study abroad, it is important to analyse the situation and review different points of view; because you will need a lot of willpower, but without doubt, it is worth it.
On one hand, studying abroad is an enriching experience where you can learn and enjoy about others dazzling cultures, traditions and life styles.
This opportunity makes you know new teaching and learning methods, diverse knowledge, ideas and thinking ways, and too many people from a great diversity of places worldwide. Also, you can learn or study a strange language, and even meet more new friends.
This experience, can offer you more job opportunities in the future in both countries; and gives you more personal growing and independence.
On the other hand, in a few cases you will need some time for adapting to the environment and circumstances of the place where you will stay, or the life style of the native people; because probably in your country of origin it is so distinct.
This little or big change, it depends of the person, will make you miss your origin country, traditions, typical food, friends and obviously, your family.
Studying abroad can be so expensive and requires too much time, for a busy person. Because all the formalities and processes required, are very expensive and lengthy in some countries.
In my opinion, studying abroad is a wonderful experience for everyone who takes it, and make sure that you will never forget it.
All the existing disadvantages outweigh the personal and professional enrichment for your life. Since my point of view, normally it is not an easy progress but it is definitely worth it, even if it is just for a one-year period.
In conclusion, I think that everyone who has the means and possibilities to plan a trip and study abroad should take advantage of them and make an unforgettable memory and rewarding experience.
Nowadays, some countries have scholarships programs for leading students. It is very helpful for people that are planning to study abroad, because is cheaper than a normal trip and reduce the studying costs.

English: not only a subject, but a communication way.
Tumblr media
We are used to see the English language as another subject at school. Thanks to the education system we see every subject as an independent thing, and we think is impossible to bring them all together. However, when it comes to the English class, we got it wrong, English, just as Spanish, is a language, a system of signs used by a community with the purpose of communication. That’s why is possible to express any knowledge by it.
The project was the making of a prototype related to any innovation in the science field. We also had to present it in English in front of the class, explaining, components, fabrication, functioning, purpose and their current and future features. Our prototype was the “Stamp Machine”, a device with a simple mechanism that could stamp paper sheets with different designs. Most of their fabrication components were recycle. We think this prototype can be improve by, better structure, intensify the complexity of the final designs, and adding the components needed to use the machine in fabric, paperboard, etc.
Was it easy to present this prototype and express everything we wanted to say about it? To determinate if it was easy or hard, first we need to take many factors into account, such as: the English level that we had, the vocabulary required by the topic, and even aspects as the confident of the team to present in front of the class. In our case, it was easy, because the vocabulary that we used was simple; our level of English was enough for expressing the ideas we needed to present and, we thought that by getting these two, the confident wasn’t hard to get.

THE PHRASAL VERB MACHINE
Tumblr media
My app is about the phrasal verbs. The phrasal verbs are very important in English language and we don’t have them in Spanish language so they are difficult to learn. But this app can teach you in a funny and easy way.
The phrasal verbs are made by one verb and a preposition. They are very important because many expressions and common actions in English language are phrasal verbs, an example is “pick up the phone” which means “atender el telefono”, the verb pick alone means seleccionar but with the preposition it changes.
In Spanish we just have the verb without prepositions so we are not familiarized with them and because of that the phrasal verbs are difficult to learn.
In my app you can search all the phrasal verbs with their definitions, a video and another terms, this teaches you how to use them completely in all the contexts.
When you’re sure that you have learnt all the phrasal verbs you can do some exercises. You have to select the correct phrasal verb according to a video, the app will count your attempts and your fails.

“BEE” Happy Like a Spelling Bee
On May the 26th the Universidad libre School will be holding an all time high event. Thirty four students will compete to prove their best in order to achieve the brand new Super CUL Spelling Bee Award. Kids from four to ten years old are training hard to be ready and to provide a striking performance.
There will be four categories, “Rookie” for the adorable pre schoolers, “Beginner” for the neat first graders, “Intermediate” for the audacious second graders, “Advanced” for the amusing third graders and “Expert” for the tenacious fourth graders.
This event will mark a new entry in the activities done during previous English Day celebrations, and hopefully in a near future we will be able to  hold a larger scale event involving not only our students but also contestants from different schools.
You are all invited to prove what an un-BEE-lievable speller you are !!!
