Officially 2 years natural and I feel like I'm not where I should be. I've gradually cut my relaxed ends off during the transitioning stage and haven't properly trimmed my ends since then. It's been approximately 1 year & 8 months (not absolute) without heat. I decided to straighten my hair being that it's my 2year NATURAL-VERSARY 💆🏾🌳😻. This picture was taken during the flat ironing process & I'm happy to see my hair ALMOST where it was compared to when I was a relaxed mami 😅. I trimmed my dead/split ends after the flat ironing and can't wait to grow my hair to it's BEST potential. This was a trim long over due and well needed. GROW BABY, GROW! ♥️♥️🤗

For those of you naturals who may ne confused between the differences of hair porosity, (like myself), here is the best explanation I've found that makes the most sense to me lol. This diagram clearly explains what each type of hair porosity actually means. Every time I read about the differences on any site, it would still leave me confused because all of them basically say that it's hard for the hair to retain moisture, but in different ways. Finally, I truly understand the difference between high, low, and normal porosity. . Want to know your hair's porosity? Take the test: 1. Get a cup of water (room temperature preferably) 2. Take a strand of your hair and place it in the water 3. Leave for 2-5 minutes * If the hair stays afloat (meaning on top of the water) you have LOW porosity * If your hair sinks to the middle, you have NORMAL porosity * If it sinks to the bottom of the cup, you have HIGH porosity My natural hair is low porosity. What's yours? Take the test and comment your hair porosity 👇🏾💆🏾🌳

had to post because last night I made a HUGE MISTAKE & by falling asleep with makeup on 👿. fortunately, no breakouts happened overnight (thank him 🙏🏿❤️) but here's our reminder. make sure you wash your face every night before bed & if you're extremely tired, just grab a makeup wipe or some coconut oil 🌴. your skin will thank you in the morning, trust me. doing something is better than nothing at all 🌸 . . ******************************* #healthylife #skincare #coconut #coconutoil #makeup

Feeling so accomplished! I prepped & installed these senegalese twists all by MYSELF 😅🤘🏾. They honestly came out better than expected and I've gotten so many compliments on my first attempt. It took 13 hours to style, including the time spent learning HOW to do them. I used Eco Styler Gel in Krystal to help the twisting process become easier and used Super X hair 100% kankelon. Oh yeah, and im REALLY feeling this purple 💜. I really enjoyed completing this look, you gals should try it and save yourselves some mula 💰 (only if you have the time and patience lol) I was prepared for what I was getting myself into and just kept a positive mentality, & reminded myself you can do ANYTHING you put your mind to. This is the first time and I just plan to keep getting better and better until I slay ALL protective styles ✨☺️ . . #senagalesetwists
