Feeling beyond grateful for everything God has planned and prepared and done for me, for my friends and families, for those who matter and those who don't, for every class I attended and those I skipped, for every assignment I carried and those I got credited for nothing, and for every funny and precious moment in this past four years. People went through it through thick and thin yet I did it all the way thinly 👽 #nextchaptersoon #不要怕只要信 https://www.instagram.com/p/B4JPEFKlYVUCaz27vvNmtfI8mxo4Qr-3y9eUlw0/?igshid=4yaybxa5dwz1

2018
Things have changed.
In a good way.
In a funny way too, I guess.
This is part of being an adult. Still can’t get over how open and transparent we were to share each other story in the past year. We don’t need to have party to welcome a brand new year which is just like another day. Phew, aging.
Surprisingly I was impressed by Mandopop (funny how it is called, which is Mandarin Pop Music) recently. The production of the song “53 Dawn” by JJ Lin attracted me to listen to the new album on repeat. I bought it on iTune right away. Well, at least I have these bop songs to accompany me to a new year.
Last night I had my first taste on red wine. The reaction was indescribable. By the way I wasn’t even recovered from the skin rash caused by the beer. Did some crazy dance move to “Havana” with these bunch of friends too. I am not even sure if I was drunk. We counted down in laughter and encouragement, wishing to have a better year.
Recommendation on Mandopop album: "伟大的渺小 Message in a Bottle” by JJ Lin. Planning to do a review on this album and each song in the album. Another masterpiece which impresses me as well, “偷故事的人 Story Thief” by A-Mei Chang.
To the one I care the most:
“你身后 会有我”
- 身后 by 张惠妹

Favorite lyrics from “Melodrama” by Lorde
Recently can’t get it out of my head, Lorde’s sophomore album is just too good to be my summer anthem.
1. Green Light Those three piano chords tho. I am still addicted. “But I hear sounds in my mind.”
2. Sober “We pretend that we just don’t care But we care.”
3. Homemade Dynamite “But I think that you might be the same as me Behave abnormally.”
4. The Louvre “Nothing wrong with it. Supernatural.”
5. Liability “I’m a liability.”
6. Hard Feelings/Loveless “I care for myself the way I used to care about you” “Why even try to get right?”
7. Sober II (Melodrama) “We told you this was melodrama”
8. Writer in the Dark “Did my best to exist just for you.”
9. Supercut “In my head, I do everything right.”
10. Liability (reprise) “But you’re not what you thought you were.”
11. Perfect Places That intro and the beat tho. “It’s just another graceless night.”

It is like Family Feuds
You thought it passes from one to another dreadfully, but it turned out is just the silly mistake that you won't even bother to get rid of.

Untitled
Been trying to escape, from this age of social media. Or just switched to a better platform so that I can see less bullshit.
I tried to deactivate it, just a way I tried to control myself from scrolling deep into someone’s life. So much feelings, I can barely bear with, just like what Lorde’s new song “Liability” about, how I have slowly become the one I always hated to be, the worst loser of my own.

THIS TOWN
I was in this small town, lived like everyone else. Or did I? I didn't realise the stress among us, the students. Just a little annoyed with the amount of homework which took me past my bedtime. People talk. They talk about how you perform throughout the year, from the time you could barely talk to the time you are still wondering where is your next place after your high school, just like the presentation of national budget thingy. So I gotta live under the radar and do everything I could to be under it. But then I became the centre of the radar. I felt ashamed, of how I never knew I wanted it so much, so I kept my effort going and do my best just to be the one they like to talk about. Phew, it anyhow faded. I walked away with my pursuit of study. Things got a little different and there is no radar here. We barely know each other, and everything begins from zero, includes impression. If you continue doing it very well, people won't bother much and if you don't, they will say "try again next time!" "try harder" , which you will never get better by these words, to be honest. But the pride is gone. Short af. I wish to live it again, like how easier it was to live day by day with same bunch of peeps who actually care about you and your family. This town, we know how limited our limit is, how stuffy our mind is, and how eager we actually fight for our right. We don't usually get distracted by the concrete jungle business, but we just desperately need to have a perfect access to the nearest town. Talk about that one job YOU never done. Is this town aging? I have no idea. Just like how is this place can be used for tourism, no idea. People say "no job", it means "no high paying jobs". We used to look forward to grow a pair of wings to fly to the other side, just to feel how the other side feels. So when we get comfortable, our wings become heavier and heavier. Sadly it takes a date on the calendar or a heartbreaking phone call from home to make us to fly back. We always know the way to home, aren't we? This is the town of growing, nurturing and healing. We never got tired of going round and round of the town even though it looks the same every time. Indeed, it doesn't change a bit, it is the way you see it, changed.
