That’s such a fun compilation. Feel free to send me an ask with the number you want me to answer!
Weirdly Specific Artist Ask Game
Didn't see a lot of artist ask games, wanted to make a silly one.
(I wrote this while sick out of my mind last year and it's been collecting dust in my drafts, I might as well let it run free) 1. Art programs you have but don't use
2. Is it easier to draw someone facing left or right (or forward even)
3. What ideas come from when you were little
4. Fav character/subject that's a bitch to draw
5. Estimate of how much of your art you post online vs. the art you keep for yourself
6. Anything that might inspire you subconsciously (i.e. this horse wasn't supposed to look like the Last Unicorn but I see it)
7. A medium of art you don't work in but appreciate
8. What's an old project idea that you've lost interest in
9. What are your file name conventions
10. Favorite piece of clothing to draw
11. Do you listen to anything while drawing? If so, what
12. Easiest part of body to draw
13. A creator who you admire but whose work isn't your thing
14. Any favorite motifs
15. *Where* do you draw (don't drop your ip address this just means do you doodle at a park or smth)
16. Something you are good at but don't really have fun doing
17. Do you eat/drink when drawing? if so, what
18. An estimate of how much art supplies you've broken
19. Favorite inanimate objects to draw (food, nature, etc.)
20. Something everyone else finds hard to draw but you enjoy
21. Art styles nothing like your own but you like anyways
22. What physical exercises do you do before drawing, if any
23. Do you use different layer modes
24. Do your references include stock images
25. Something your art has been compared to that you were NOT inspired by
26. What's a piece that got a wildly different interpretation from what you intended
27. Do you warm up before getting to the good stuff? If so, what is it you draw to warm up with
28. Any art events you have participated in the past (like zines)
29. Media you love, but doesn't inspire you artistically
30. What piece of yours do you think is underrated

Based on a picture from Still Here Still Life page on Instagram. This was more fun than I expected and really made me want to draw more stuff like that!

Hello again! I’ve heard things are changing and lots of people are coming back to tumblr. Well, I’m gonna give it a try too! I’ve done some art since last time I was here (2018?) and can’t wait to share it.

after a really terrible week of emotional turmoil around my 28th birthday, being deeply hurt by some events and realisations, I decided to sign up for therapy.
I was emotionally unable to make art for too long, and my head has become too dark of a place.
wish me luck

How do you choose colors for your drawings? I am always amazed by your choices. Do you prefer digital or traditional art both you doing it and enjoying someone else'?
Colours is still a struggle for me. I usually come up with a dominant colour I want to use or 2 main ones and then try to follow colour theory to make them work. The practice of it definitely makes my palette picking much faster and intuitive but still, it's something I had to put work in, not at all a thing I was born with;) and digital vs tradition is a tough one. I love to get my hands dirty and feel the medium but I'm leaning more and more towards minimalist lifestyle and digital art is really convenient to do on the go and doesn't require having too much stuff. Thought I think I'll always admire traditional art a bit more, I just love it so much.

How did you settle on your style? I don't mean that you are not evolving but how did you become comfortable with your style like "yes this is me this is how I do stuff". Does your (amazing, tender but still powerful and for itself speaking) artstyle feel like you to you?
Definitely haven't settled;) I think I've come to a combination of things I liked about my style and things I want to get better at. Lineart is my thing, that's a fact and there's no point in running away from it, I tried but at this point it kinda is my signature thing. So I'm just working on evolving it. And colours is something I always wanted to be good at so I just forced myself to use them. Somehow it worked together and felt good. I think I found a style that works for different kinds of commissions and for personal art, that I can make using just digital techniques or only traditional or combine both. And that's what I was looking for. It's still not exactly a style that works for everything but I'm so happy to push it further and keep searching. It definitely feels like me at this point. I'm very curious though if it feels like me for other people who know me well;)

What one should do when head is not full of ideas for art (it’s absolutely empty) and all the attempts to create at least something end up with a complete frustration and hatred?
I'm not sure how long this questions was sitting here, I might've totally missed it, sorry if I did!If there is too much frustration and hatred, sometimes it's good to just step back and not force anything. Some people are ok drawing whatever just for the sake of practice without feeling inspired, but for some it's so much better to just stop for a while. There's nothing wrong about it, put away your sketchbook, read books, go outside, look at art, not only the kind you make but at things from other art fields too. Inspiration will come at some point. Either slowly you'll start to feel things or it might hit you suddenly. Anyways, you don't have to make things constantly, break is good, take your time❤️

I feel like I've lost a bit of personal touch here. And tumblr has always been a place where I l've let myself say what was on my mind. And I want it back, even though I know people are drifting away from tumblr. So here it is.
So much stuff has changed, my life turned around quite a bit but it still feels the same, still anxious, still fighting, still pushing away thoughts and feelings so it's hard to even form them into words now.
Anyways, if you feel like helping me connecting with this community again, ask me anything, drop me a message or something. Love you all.

I was tagged by @the-blanket-underer to post gifs from my 10 favourite films, without telling what are they. I’m a little movie geek so that was a lot of fun and pretty hard to decide. But f you wanna know the titles, don’t hesitate to ask;)
I tag anyone who wants to do it!

Hello there!
There was a sudden influx of people, which is pretty surprising because I really thought this platform is slowly dying. But maybe not?
So hello there everyone! I'm still here, still around, I just didn't have time to post my stuff everywhere and for some time I had to delete tumblr app on my old phone. Gonna be back in the game tho!

It's been a while since I posted here but I should finally make a little life update. So, here's where I spend my days, on making jewellery at a place that feels like home for a brand that is everything I love and respect. I couldn't ask for better way to jump into a full time job life, and it's the best job I've ever had. Life is not that easy thought and I have troubles managing time between job, sleep and freelance work, not mentioning free time for art. But I'm getting there and it's only getting better, I'm full of inspirations and ideas. I'm passionate about my new job and if there's need to stay after hours, I do it without hesitation, and last few weeks there was a total work overload, but things are getting back to normal and I'm finally starting to live a normal life:)
If you appreciate some amazing traditionally handmade jewellery, check out SOTE instagram https://www.instagram.com/sotejewellery/ and shop: http://www.sotejewellery.com/ it might so happen that I will be te one making your order;)

life update
hey hey! I haven’t posted here for a while because my life has been quite a chaos lately. I’ll try to catch up with a few things I’ve made recently.
But the news is: I took a day job in a different city, which marks an end to my full time freelance career. I’ll still make illustrations and commercial commissions but I have to push it to evenings, nights and weekends. The decision to do it has been the reason for me being so distanced from social media, as I’ve had a huge anxiety over it for past 3 months. I’m currently living between 2 cities, planning a move, learning new skills at the job and trying to balance everything.
So thank you for all the support and I hope you’ll stick aroung through the tough time.
