"Ya need ‘elp there, darlin'?" A deep voice suddenly purred from behind her, the rich baritone twisting and lilting in places with a thick accent. Startled, she whirled around, a burly mountain of a skeleton monster that hadn’t been there mere moments ago was now towering over her. The man was nearly a full foot taller than her and easily twice as wide, razor sharp teeth and a glittering gold fang were stretched into a suave smile across his face as he gazed down at her. Small scars littered the thick bones that made up his exposed forearms, the marks becoming more frequent before disappearing beneath a well tailored dress shirt that hugged his broad torso in swirling red and black designs.
"..Yah likin' what ya seein' there, Doll face?" He chuckled and pressed a hand against the door frame behind her, successfully pinning her in place as the question made her eyes snap up and finally connect with his. The deep intensity of the single smoldering eyelight within his scarred sockets both startled and flustered her, embarrassment creeping up her spine in the form of a dark blush.
"N-no, I-I mean, I do but, um… S-sorry, am I in your way?" She stuttered, face, neck and ears flushing as her eyes quickly darted away in mortification.
The stranger watched, grin growing into a smirk as the little dame before him squirmed and held her plate of cookies closer to her small body. He always did enjoy watching guests squirm, reveling in the fact that they desired his smooth words despite their embarrassed whines and the flustered protests they often started out with. It was obvious to him that this one would be no exception.
"Of course not, darlin'. Ya just looked like ya needed some 'elp, is all." The skeleton purred down at her, leaning back in a silent attempt to put her more at ease, his hands stuffing themselves into his slacks pockets. Didn't want to frighten the little lady too badly after all.
"W-well.. I suppose… I'm having a bit of a hard time opening the door without spilling." The woman admitted, offering a small shy smile up at him.
"Well then, ‘llow me to assist." In one swift movement he reached around her, opening the door wide with a small flourish of his hand and half bow, teeth morphing into a sharp toothed grin. "After you, sweet ‘art."
With a small timid nod, she hurried inside, the welcoming warmth that always encompassed the lounge quickly chasing away the evening's chilled air.
"You here to see anyone specific, or just looking for a good time?" The stranger hummed, moving to leisurely stroll beside her, each one of his slow steps nearly three of hers.
"Oh um.. Yes actually. Here to see a.. friend." She managed out, delicately setting the plate down on the wide welcome desk before looking at the small rushed 'be with you shortly' sign haphazardly placed on the wooden surface. Anxiety and embarrassment pricked at her mind as he watched her, mixing into a flustering cocktail of emotions.
Should I even consider him a friend? I mean, I’ve only met him once after all… I can’t exactly say that I know him.
"Well damn. Ain't they a lucky monstah." He hummed, leaning beside her as he continued to make idle conversation, his glowing eyelight raking over her intently. "Not sure if I've seen ya around ‘ere before Doll. Think I'd remembah a cutie like you."
The last sentence came out like a soft purr, his deep gravelly voice dipping into an almost sultry tone as he grinned down at her. She sputtered for a moment, caught off guard by his sudden forward comment, skin flushing a rosy hue as she looked up at him.
"I'm still fairly new here. Only my second time requesting anyone." She admitted, glancing around briefly in hopes to see the familiar faces of either Banana or Fresh.
"Names Bourbon, by the way. Pleasah tah meet ya, darlin’." He introduced, offering one of his large hands for her to shake. Four thick rings glittered against his pale bones, all but his ring finger adorned with intricate gold bands.
"Bourbon… heh, I like that. It's a cute name." She smiled, reaching out to shake his hand, warm skin pressing against his coarse phalanges. His hand easily swallowed hers, the claws at the end of each of his fingers gently pressing into her delicate skin. "It's a pleasure to meet you. My name's-oh!" She cut herself off, eyes going wide in surprise as Bourbon gently pulled her hand closer, his grip surprisingly gentle despite his size, to place a tender kiss against her fingers.
"The pleasah is all mine, Darlin." He rumbled, his single eyelight peaking up at her to watch her startled reaction before he straightened and released her. Smirking, he watched how she squirmed and brought her hand up to her chest, eyes cast down to the lobby floor. "Not sure who ya planned to visit darlin', but why don't ya come back to the bar with me? I'm sure I can keep yah company-"
"What Are You Doing, You Imbecile? Stop Bothering The Guests And Get Back To Work!" Came a sudden booming voice from just beyond the desk, the loud noise startling the both of them. She squeaked, the sudden appearance of someone else making her jump and spin around to face the new person currently storming towards them.
A tall skeleton glared down at Bourbon, his slim body towering over the both of them, easily looming over the other man by two feet. Her breath caught as she took him in, the startling resemblance to Crooks throwing her off. If it weren't for the distinct lack of cracks and twisted teeth, or the addition of a circular scar that curved around one sharp cheekbone and through his left eye socket, she would have easily confused the angry monsters for Crooks. His mouth was twisted into a deep disapproving frown, teeth a set of perfectly straight fangs that looked like they could slice through flesh like softened butter. His discolored eyelights burned a menacing hole into the quickly shrinking skeleton beside her, the mismatched colors glowing like twisting flames in his darkened sockets. A perfectly tailored suit hugged his lanky body, black and gray striped fabric making his already tall frame appear nearly uncannily striking. Just like Bourbon this one wasn't wearing a jacket, instead a vest and crisp black shirt was on full display, a bright red tie with matching pin the only pop of color on him.
"H-hey boss! Just welcomin’ the little lady 'n. Needed some 'elp with the door." Bourbon explained, putting his clawed hands up in feigned innocence. Red droplets began to form on his skull, making it look like he was sweating beneath the others' heated gaze.
“If You Are Going To Lie Brother, At Least Choose A More Convincing Story.” ‘Boss’ huffed, moving to grab onto the back of Bourbons shirt as if he was a child being scolded and kept from running away. “Must You Always Find A Way To Ignore Your Duties And Waste My Time In The Process?”
