Note
Hey, again thank you for all your amazing work on the transcripts! ♥️
Yesterday I came across a short dialogue between Elgar’nan and Ghilan’nain from those you can listen to by the magic tree facing the Vir’Revas in the Crossroads. Elgar’nan mentions the Vhen Theredas (if I remember correctly), a place dedicated to learning that Solas mocked by building the Lighthouse. I thought I would read about it later but couldn’t find anything on the internet. Have you transcripted those lines yet? If so, could you please share them?
Take care, xx 😘
Here you go!!

The Crossroad Ambients
Elgar'nan and Ghilan'nain
The Crossroads Masterpost
Rook: Wait. The lyrium dagger's… vibrating. Like a song in a wine glass.
Rook passes the tree again.
Rook: Are those voices?
Rook interacts with the tree in the Crossroads.
Elgar'nan: Striking the Crossroads without forethought would be folly. The rebellion controlled it for far too long. Its defenses will be artfully hidden.
Ghilan'nain: You will not press? Our forces are cunning and sharpened.
Elgar'nan: Fen'harel's spite is endless and his trickery not easily overcome. He will have traps in wait. A Crossroads in ruin is no good to us.
Rook: That was Elgar'nan and Ghilan'nain. Were we… eavesdropping on the past?
Isle of the Gods complete: Rook: We must have been. Ghilan'nain's gone.
Bellara: Here in the Crossroads, the dagger must be able to… overhear them. Just a little.
Davrin: It makes sense for Solas—his dagger, his enemies, his way of spying on them.
Emmrich: The dagger must catch and amplify their influence here. Ingenious, really.
Harding: The dagger… of course Solas found a way to spy on the other gods.
Lucanis: It's Solas's dagger. He must have had a way to spy on his rival gods.
Neve: The dagger must amplify these… echoes. Letting Solas spy on his rivals.
Taash: Handy dagger. Stabs and eavesdrops. No wonder everyone wants it.
Rook: Let's hope it doesn't work both ways.
Rook passes by the tree again.
Rook: Shhh. We can eavesdrop again.
Rook: The voices again.
Rook: The dagger's resonating again.
Rook: Listen.
Ghilan'nain: Untold years asleep, only to see our sanctums defiled. Even Arlathan is trampled by cast-offs and mortals. We must secure the eluvians.
Elgar'nan: We shall. The Antaam are uneasy in the Crossroads, but they know their duty.
Ghilan'nain: If they fail, give the best-preserved to me for improvement.
Have not fought Antaam in the Crossroads Rook: The Antaam. So they're somewhere in the Crossroads, too.
Have found Antaam in the Crossroads. Rook: Dead Antaam? We're already on it.
Elgar'nan: Delays. So much more could be accomplished from the Vhen'Theneras. Solas raised that beacon in mockery of my own tower of learning. The disrespect…
Ghilan'nain: Do not dwell upon it, Elgar'nan. The Lighthouse is but one wonder we shall reclaim.
Elgar'nan: It will be remade. And all traces of Fen'harel erased from its walls.
Isle of the Gods complete: Rook: Ghilan'nain. We really are listening to the past.
Isle of the Gods complete: Elgar'nan: It is not enough to slay the artist. They must see your works destroyed as well. Petty, small-minded… blind to the wonder and beauty of your creations. Dearest sister, I then offer this to your memory: If your genius does not survive, neither will those who disdained you.
Isle of the Gods not complete: Elgar'nan: But surely the knowledge you gained…
Ghilan'nain: My champions offered themselves willingly. More works of precision laid low before finding their full potential!
Elgar'nan: You will have new subjects, in recompense. Whatever you wish.
Bellara romanced Ghilan'nain: Rook's foolish tinkerer toys with our old works. Let her be flesh-bonded into a Sentinel's armor. Bellara: Rook. She means…
Davrin romanced: Ghilan'nain: Rook's dearest Warden. He is half blighted already. I would see if I could make him crave griffon flesh. Davrin: Let her try.
Emmrich romanced: Ghilan'nain: Rook's necromancer. An excellent subject to test how long one could go back and forth between life and death. Emmrich: Don't listen to her, dearest. It won't come to that.
Harding romanced: Ghilan'nain: Rook's Titan pretender? There are many things I could do with one so tied to the stone. Harding: She's not saying what I think she's saying, is she? She probably is.
Lucanis romanced: Ghilan'nain: Rook's assassin. His flesh could be given true wings. And a face that better suits one who carries a demon. Lucanis: She is welcome to try.
Neve romanced: Ghilan'nain: Rook's delver of the truth. A mage who would provide me with both blood and ice from her veins. Neve: Rook. She means…
Taash romanced: Ghilan'nain: Rook's fire-breather. I would see if there is enough dragon blood in their veins to begin a new Archdemon. Taash: She can try.
No romance: Ghilan'nain: Rook's companions seek to fight as one. Combining their traits into a single form would be edifying.
Elgar'nan: Inspired. Consider it done.
In romance: Rook: If they touch you, death will be the least of their problems.
Not in romance: Rook: Ignore them. We're taking these bastards down before they ever get the chance.
Ghilan'nain: What of your dreams?
Elgar'nan: A discordant refrain. And shadows. Nothing more.
Ghilan'nain: In our prison, there was more. I dreamed the songs of the living abyss.
Ghilan'nain: And now, masked eyes across the sea. A storm that drinks the sky…
Elgar'nan: The future is intangible. Only the past and the present matter.

The DA Transcripts Website is Live!!!!
It's alive! But it's rough. You'll likely notice that much of the site is full of links that go nowhere or lead to dead-ends. I haven't had the chance to reformat much to fit the site yet, but wanted to get it live and running!
Please be patient as I continue to work out the kinks in my webdev and html skills. In the meanwhile, I've made a very small, basically read-only discord where I will continue to post updates on the site's progress and you can contact me via submission form. Please use these to send QA feedback! These early stages are the most critical for me to fix problems such as accessibility or ease-of-use.
What does this mean for the future of the blogs?
They'll still be here, and I'll still update them! I'll still respond to asks and keep an eye on comments/replies, but the formatting will no longer be optimized for tumblr's layout, as it would be a lot of work to make both (and formatting is what has always taken the longest). I'll keep tumblr in the loop on site updates as well, and if you don't like discord, you can follow the DA Transcript bluesky for more frequent news!
Thank you all for your support!!!

Just a heads up: currently, all of my focus has been going into building a website and formatting these posts for it, if you were wondering about the silence!
Active transcriptions have been put on hold for the time being and will hopefully start again early/mid May, after I return from a cross-country trip and get settled at my new job as well.
Hopefully you'll be hearing from me soon regarding site status!

All transcripts will be combined onto one site, so please make sure you get your opinion in even if you have no interest in the Inquisition stuff!
As I continue building this site, I have a very important question for you all:
Do you like the numbering format I use?
I have the option to use internal links to take you back-and-forth within the page now, but I'm wondering if folks rely on the numbers to keep track of which dialogue goes where.
Here's what I currently have on the new site, without the numbers:
Keep in mind that sometimes the dialogue trees get quite convoluted! I want them to be as easy to follow as possible when there are like, 3 nested trees or something ridiculous.

Hi, I was wondering if there was any backup (or plans for one) for this in case Tumblr gets shut down? I would absolutely hate to lose such a valuable resource for fanfics and analysis just because of something like that. Thank you and thank you so much for putting so much work into this. You have saved my life writing so many times.
If it comes to it or things start to look grim, I'll likely make a Neocities or WordPress site. It's definitely not on the list of things I'd like to add to my plate soon so let's hope that doesn't happen lol
Glad you've found it helpful!
Edit: I've been informed a bit more about the circumstances that led to this ask, so I'll be sitting down to seriously consider how to move forward soon. I'm open to suggestions!

Hey! First and foremost I just want to say I love this project! Keep up the amazing work! Secondly, would you be opposed to someone using the format you use to map the dialogue in game (i.e. the bullet points, numbers) to write out their own dialogue/character interactions they wished appeared in the game (for example, a conversation the PC could have with Anders if he appeared in DATV)? Totally fine if not! :)
Hi there! Thank you for asking, please feel free to use the formatting as a base if you find it useful. I myself borrowed the skeleton of it from an older, defunct transcript blog hahaha

The Price of the Past Deleted Dialogue
After the Storm: Talk to Solas
The Price of the Past Masterpost About Deleted Dialogue
Solas: I wondered when you would return. The fall of Weisshaupt reverberated across the Fade some time ago, as did the fall of an Archdemon. But unless I am mistaken, both Elgar'nan and Ghilan'nain yet stand.
Saved Minrathous: Rook: Treviso got blighted because I was busy driving off the blighted dragon in Minrathous. I couldn't be in two places at once.
Saved Treviso: Rook: Minrathous fell to the Venatori because I was driving off the blighted dragon in Treviso. I couldn't be in two places at once.
Rook: But at Weisshaupt, we got there in time. The Archdemon was down. I had a dragon hunter, a mage-killing assassin, and the Grey Wardens. And even then, we couldn't kill Ghilan'nain.
I’ll worry about that later” Solas: You once told me that the consequences of your battle would be a problem for "Future Rook."
”Whatever they want.” Solas: You once told me that you would accept whatever consequences came from your battle.
“It won’t be that bad.” Solas: You once told me that you would stop the gods without getting "thousands of innocent people killed."
Dialogue options:
Affable: We made progress. [1]
Sarcastic (Worry about that later): Thanks, past Rook. [2]
Sarcastic (Whatever they want): It’s a lot to accept. [3]
Sarcastic (It won’t be that bad): I guess? [4]
Stoic: That’s still true. [5]
Angry: This is your fault! [6]
Afraid: I need some support. [7]
Sad: Don’t mock me, okay? [8]
1 - Affable: We made progress. Rook: I'd hoped we'd take down Ghilan'nain, but we did kill her Archdemon. That's a good start.
Grey Warden Rook: Solas: "A good start." I wonder if your fellow Wardens would agree.
Solas: Does this truly feel like even a partial victory, or does something uncomfortable lurk behind that easy smile?
Dialogue options:
I need to seem confident. [9]
I’m trying to believe. [10]
No, but being sad won’t help. [11]
9 - I need to seem confident. Rook: No, of course it doesn't feel like victory. But that's what leadership is. It's putting your own feelings aside so the team doesn't collapse. Solas: And what is so dangerous that the mere sight of it would destroy your team? Rook: That I was wrong. Davrin, Lucanis, all of them… I convinced them to join. I told them we could win. And right now, it feels like I lied to them. Solas: There it is. The grief of having not lived up to the trust that others placed in you. It is a pain worse than any Elgar'nan or Ghilan'nain could inflict, and if you let it, it can help you. Rook: How? [31] 10 - I’m trying to believe. Rook: It has to feel like a partial victory. If it doesn't… We lost a lot of Grey Wardens. We lost Weisshaupt. If we lost all of that, and I didn't accomplish anything? Solas: Then what? Rook: Then there's no way I can win. I should just start running now. But I can't. I have to keep acting like there's some way to win. And that's… terrifying. Solas: Good. There it is. The fear. You finally see the consequences. You know the stakes. That fear, the terror of what you face now, can help you, if you let it. Rook: How does admitting I'm terrified help? [31] 11 - No, but being sad won’t help. Rook: How do you think I feel? But the team needs me to look like I know what I'm doing. Solas: And what do you need? Rook: I need a break! I need one damn thing to go right for once! Solas: Because you deserve it? Rook: Because I can't do this! But if I don't, nobody will. So I've gotta keep banging my head against this wall like an idiot hoping for a miracle! Solas: There it is. The anger. The frustration at having failed. Properly channeled, that rage can flare hot enough to burn away any impurities. Rook: Fine! I'm angry! How does that help? [31]
2 - Thanks, past Rook. Rook: Sounds like something Past Rook would say. [They're] kind of an asshole. [12]
3 - I guess? Rook: Weisshaupt could've fallen without us killing Ghilan'nain's Archdemon. That would technically be worse. Solas: Technically. [12]
4 - It’s a lot to accept. Rook: I was thinking I'd be accepting hurt feelings, not a whole fortress falling to darkspawn. Solas: Sometimes the hurt feelings are worse. [12]
12 - Scene continues. Solas: (Chuckles) You use humor a great deal.
Solas: "The elven god of sarcasm."
Solas: "This is the reason nobody likes you."
Solas: "Killing an Archdemon is the easy part."
Solas: Is all of this really so amusing, or is that wit the blade with which you keep less comfortable feelings at bay? Dialogue options:
It’s that or cry. [13]
It’s that or panic. [14]
It’s that or rage. [15]
13 - It’s that or cry. Rook: I'm doing the best I can to hold it together. Sometimes that means stupid jokes. Solas: And when those fail? Rook: Then I probably start ugly-sobbing. Snotty nose, blotchy face, the whole deal. Solas: Why? You are no stranger to death. You have seen warriors fall in battle before. Rook: But I've never been in charge. And this time…
Punched the First Warden: Rook: I punched the First Warden in the face and made everybody listen to me.
Reasoned with the First Warden: Rook: I got the First Warden to listen. I got him to believe in me.
Rook: And then I… I couldn't get it done. I failed. And Weisshaupt fell. Solas: There it is. The grief of having not lived up to the trust that others placed in you. It is a pain worse than any Elgar'nan or Ghilan'nain could inflict, and if you let it, it can help you. Rook: How? [31] 14 - It’s that or panic. Rook: Well, I don't think uncontrollable screaming is gonna help anything, and that's the only other option. Solas: Uncontrollable screaming at what? Rook: I had a legendary assassin, a dragon hunter, and an army of Grey Wardens, and we still failed! I still failed. People keep asking me what we do now, and I have no idea. And that is… terrifying. Solas: Good. There it is. The fear. You finally see the consequences. You know the stakes. That fear, the terror of what you face now, can help you, if you let it. Rook: How does admitting I'm terrified help? [31] 15 - It’s that or rage. Rook: Yeah, there's a pretty good chance the jokes are how I cope. Solas: And beneath those jokes? Rook: Why does that matter? Would me yelling right now help anything? Solas: It might help you know who you are. Rook: The whole world is gonna know who I am! They're gonna make statues of me! "In honor of Rook: [They] almost saved Weisshaupt!" Solas: There it is. The anger. The frustration at having failed. Properly channeled, that rage can flare hot enough to burn away any impurities. Rook: Fine! I'm angry! How does that help? [31]
5 - Stoic: That’s still true. Rook: And I stand by that. Solas: Truly? You watched a fortress fall and Wardens die, and it touches nothing within you?
Solas: I expect that you call it professionalism.
Solas: No hesitation. "We stopped you. We'll stop them."
Solas: No concern. Just targets. "Any other surprises we should know about?"
Solas: What are you so desperate to avoid feeling?
Dialogue options:
Numb. [16]
Terror. [17]
Fucking Furious. [18]
16 - Numb. Rook: Nothing. Solas: So no fear, no anger, lurks beneath the surface? Rook: No, I mean… I try to think about what I'm feeling, and I just… there's nothing there. If I think about what happened at Weisshaupt, I just… stop. Like I could go to sleep and never wake up. And I can't afford to do that. Solas: Why not? Rook: Because I let everyone down once already. I can't do it again. Solas: There it is. The grief of having not lived up to the trust that others placed in you. It is a pain worse than any Elgar'nan or Ghilan'nain could inflict, and if you let it, it can help you. Rook: How? [31] 17 - Terror. Rook: Ghilan'nain was so much worse than anything I expected. She's a god. And don't give me that "Evanuris" crap. You can turn people to stone with your eyes! Solas: Yes, and yet I wield far less power than Ghilan'nain or Elgar'nan. Rook: The world is going to end up a blighted wasteland unless I stop them, and… I don't think I can. Solas: Good. There it is. The fear. You finally see the consequences. You know the stakes. That fear, the terror of what you face now, can help you, if you let it. Rook: How does admitting I'm terrified help? [31] 18 - Fucking Furious. Rook: I am so fucking tired of being the one who has to do this while the rest of the world ignores the problem! Tevinter and the Antaam would rather fight each other!
Punched the First Warden: Rook: The Grey Wardens wouldn't listen until I punched their leader in the face and took over!
Reasoned with the First Warden: Rook: The First Warden wouldn't listen until the enemy was stomping all over his courtyard!
I can't do this alone! I need people to shut up and do what I tell them for once, or I'm going to fail again! Solas: There it is. The anger. The frustration at having failed. Properly channeled, that rage can flare hot enough to burn away any impurities. Rook: Fine! I'm angry! How does that help? [31]
6 - Sad: Don’t mock me, okay? Rook: Whatever your big trickster-god lesson is, could we just… not? Solas: Why not? What makes this time different? Rook: Weisshaupt? Solas: You have seen death before.
Dialogue options:
I let the team down. [19]
I was in command. [20]
This time broke me. [21]
19 - I let the team down. Rook: I went to Weisshaupt to stop the gods… with a team of people I'd recruited. Davrin, Lucanis, all of them… I convinced them to join. I told them we could win. And right now, it feels like I lied to them. [22] 20 - I was in command.
[22] 21 - This time broke me. Rook: This time, I feel… nothing. Solas: And still you hide your feelings. [22] 22 - Scene continues. Solas: There it is. The grief of having not lived up to the trust that others placed in you. It is a pain worse than any Elgar'nan or Ghilan'nain could inflict, and if you let it, it can help you. Rook: How? [31]
7 - Afraid: I need some support. Rook: Could you be hopeful Solas instead of smug Solas right now? I don't need you to convince me how bad things are, okay? I get it. I really, really get it. Solas: You have finally met the Evanuris in battle.
I have to act confident. [23]
And I’m in charge. [24]
They’re too powerful! [25]
23 - I have to act confident. Rook: Yeah, we met the gods, and now I have to act like we're not completely screwed and this was a good step forward. Solas: Why? Rook: We lost a lot of Grey Wardens. We lost Weisshaupt. If we lost all of that, and I didn't accomplish anything? Solas: Then what? Rook: Then there's no way I can win. I should just start running now. But I can't. I have to keep acting like there's some way to win. And that's… terrifying. [26] 24 - And I’m in charge. Rook: And somehow, I'm supposed to go up against them again, and everyone is looking to me for a plan. Solas: The plan will come. Once you have marshaled your forces… Rook: I had a legendary assassin, a dragon hunter, and an army of Grey Wardens, and we still failed! I still failed. People keep asking me what we do now, and I have no idea. And that is… terrifying. [26] 25 - They’re too powerful! Rook: Yeah, and it turns out that when you're fighting a god, terror is a perfectly rational feeling! [26] 26 - Scene continues. Solas: Good. There it is. The fear. You finally see the consequences. You know the stakes. That fear, the terror of what you face now, can help you, if you let it. Rook: How does admitting I'm terrified help? [31]
8 - Angry: This is your fault! Rook: No. You don't get to come in here all superior. A whole lot of people just died, and that's on you! Solas: I have made many mistakes, but I did not free Elgar'nan and Ghilan'nain. Rook: Fine. Whatever. Solas: No. This is important, Rook. Your fury is real, but you can only defeat it if you identify its source. Who are you truly angry at?
Dialogue options:
Everyone! [27]
Ugh. Myself! [28]
Bad Luck? [29]
27 - Everyone! Rook: I'm trying to save the world, and everybody's kicking me in the shins while I'm doing it!
[30] 28 - Ugh. Myself! Rook: I know who I'm angry at. It doesn't matter. Solas: Of course it matters. You must learn who you are. Rook: The whole world is gonna know who I am! They're gonna make statues of me! "In honor of Rook: [They] almost saved Weisshaupt!" [30] 29- Bad Luck? Rook: I don't know! Fate, luck, something! This whole mission has been one disaster after another. Solas: And how would luck help you? What is it that you need? Rook: I need a break! I need one damn thing to go right for once! Solas: Because you deserve it? Rook: Because I can't do this! But if I don't, nobody will. So I've gotta keep banging my head against this wall like an idiot hoping for a miracle! [30] 30 - Scene continues. Solas: There it is. The anger. The frustration at having failed. Properly channeled, that rage can flare hot enough to burn away any impurities. Rook: Fine! I'm angry! How does that help? [31]
31 - Scene continues.
Solas: There are those who hold their emotions at a distance to avoid the sting of failure. To defeat Elgar'nan and Ghilan'nain, there can be no distance. You must be committed.
Rook: What, you think we failed because I didn't want it enough?
Solas: I cannot say. But you chose this battle, and in so doing, you chose these consequences.
Solas: Regret is the price we pay for acting when no one else will. Without regret, we would not be driven to correct our mistakes, to improve. To get it right.
Dialogue options:
I’ll get it right. [32]
I don’t want to feel this. [33]
I’m not here for this shit. [34]
32 - I’ll get it right. Rook: Next time, we won't miss. Solas: I believe you. And I believe that if you listen to me, then Elgar'nan and Ghilan'nain will fall. [35]
33 - I don’t want to feel this. Rook: It still hurts. Solas: I have lived thousands of years and made countless mistakes. It always hurts. If you listen to that feeling, perhaps you may never need to feel it again so keenly. [35]
34 - I’m not here for this shit. Rook: I didn't come here for your philosophical bullshit. I came for help! Solas: What did you think my help would look like? I cannot promise that our talks will be easy. All I can promise is that if you listen to me, Elgar'nan and Ghilan'nain will fall. [35]
35 - Scene continues.
Solas: And while your grief is valid, the situation is not as dire as it seems.
Solas: And while your fear is valid, the situation is not as dire as it seems.
Solas: And while your frustration is valid, the situation is not as dire as it seems.
Solas: You have slain an Archdemon, a feat only a few have accomplished over the centuries. Ghilan'nain is now mortal. If you can find her and catch her unprepared, you can kill her.
Rook: So how do I find her?
Solas: Your team has ties to organizations with connections you lack. The Shadow Dragons in Minrathous, the Veil Jumpers in Arlathan, and so on. Strengthening your team will strengthen those groups. Prove your value as an ally, and they will give you the openings you seek.
Rook: Okay. I'll see what I can do.
Solas: Good. And Rook… I am sorry for the necessity of this lesson.
Dialogue options:
No, I appreciate it. [36]
It’s not wholly unexpected. [37]
Whatever. Goodbye. [38]
36 - No, I appreciate it. Rook: You don't have to apologize. I know you're trying to help, so… thanks. Solas: Don't. Don't thank me. Our talk today will lead to Elgar'nan and Ghilan'nain falling, but it is not a kindness.
37 - It’s not wholly unexpected. Rook: You talk with the Dread Wolf, you gotta be prepared to bleed a little. Solas: A painful assessment, but more than fair, especially today. If I knew some other way to prepare you for what lies ahead, I would do so. Good luck.
38 - Whatever. Goodbye. Rook: We're done here. I'll talk to you when I know something. Solas: Of course. Then I will simply wish you good luck.

The Price of the Past Deleted Dialogue
After the Storm: Companions
The Price of the Past Masterpost About Deleted Dialogue
(Found!)
Talking with Davrin:
Flirt: You can handle it. Rook: It'll work out. Someone like you, a slayer of Archdemons… Davrin: Oh, yeah? Keep going. Rook: …oh, a heroic Grey Warden… Davrin: Mm-hmm. I'm listening. Rook: …and, uh, admirer of all things Rook? Davrin: Now that you mention it, yeah. Assan: (Jealous squawk) Davrin: And you, too. I always admire the prince.
Bellara
(Davrin not recruited) Rook: Yeah, you've got it rough. At least we're only fighting your gods because they're evil?

After the Storm Pt. 4
Check on Davrin
Davrin Masterpost
The Price of the Past Masterpost Previous: Check on Lucanis
Rook walks in to Davrin carving more small figures.
Rook: Davrin. Davrin, about Weisshaupt…
Dialogue options:
Affable: Are you okay? [1]
Stoic: You made them pay. [2]
Sad: I’m sorry. [3]
1 - Affable: Are you okay? Rook: Just wanted to make sure you're okay after… Davrin: I wouldn't say that, no. [4]
2 - Stoic: You made them pay. Rook: One less Archdemon in the world. At least you made them pay. Davrin: It wasn't enough. [4]
3 - Sad: I’m sorry. Rook: Davrin, I'm so sorry. Davrin: Yeah.
Grey Warden Rook: I've never been the most popular Warden, but the Order still runs in my blood. I never imagined a day when Weisshaupt would just… be gone.
Non-Grey Warden Rook: I can't believe Weisshaupt is gone. It's always been there, protecting the world.
Davrin: It wasn't supposed to be like this. [4]
4 - Scene continues.
Davrin: That's Rounald. Malmont. Anya. We used to argue: Who'd be the one to take an Archdemon down? Who'd die so that others could live? Not sure any of us believed it'd actually happen.
Rook: When the moment came, you did the Wardens proud.
Davrin: Did I? Because I'm still here. They're not.
Dialogue options:
Affable: I’m glad you are. [5]
Stoic: Move on. [6]
Sad: They were heroes. [7]
Grey Warden: I feel the same. [8]
5 - Affable: I’m glad you are. Rook: Personally, I'm glad you're here. We still need you. Davrin: And I need this to make sense. Rook: You're overthinking it. Davrin: Am I? A Grey Warden kills an Archdemon, they die. That's how it works. [9]
6 - Stoic: Move on. Rook: Beating yourself up about it's not going to help. It wasn't your day to go. Move on. Davrin: But it should've been my day. A Grey Warden kills an Archdemon, they die. That's how it works. [9]
7 - Sad: They were heroes. Rook: There's no getting them back. But at least they died heroes. Davrin: And I should've joined them. A Grey Warden kills an Archdemon, they're supposed to die. [9]
8 - Grey Warden: I feel the same. Rook: This whole mess is my battle more than anyone else's. I should've died before they did. Davrin: Can't help but wonder—maybe a Warden who survives an Archdemon is no Warden at all. Rook: It's in your blood. Our blood. No escaping it. Davrin: But we just did. [9]
9 - Scene continues.
Davrin: You know that. You signed up for it, too.
Rook: Who knows what happened? Maybe the gods changed things and the old rules don't apply. Why is being alive a problem?
Davrin: Because I didn't expect to be here! Grey Wardens have an expiration. It pushed me!
Rook: There's more fight to go.
Davrin: And if we manage to pull that off?
Rook: You'll do what you do best: hunt monsters.
Davrin: Plenty of people can do that! I'm talking purpose. I feel like a blade sharpened all these years to confront the worst darkness in the world. And my blade struck true at Weisshaupt. What now?
Rook: Well. You'll raise Assan to create a world where the light outshines the darkness.
Davrin: Yeah? Well, let me tell you. That…will require a lot more gingerwort truffles. (Chuckles)
Dialogue options:
Flirt (never flirted before): You can handle it. [10]
Flirt: You’re not alone. [11]
Affable: Welcome back. [12]
Sarcastic: It’s a living. [13]
Stoic: No more death wish. [14] +Davrin Approves
10 - Flirt: You can handle it. [15]
11 - Flirt: You’re not alone. Rook: If you want company, I'll be there. Davrin: I was kinda hoping you'd say that. Rook: Just "kinda"? Davrin: Well, I'm not that easy to catch. Rook: Hey, I know a griffon. He'll hunt you down. Assan: (Friendly squawk) Davrin: Oh, you're in on this, too, boy? Rook: I don't think you're ever shaking him loose. Davrin: I can live with that. [15]
12 - Affable: Welcome back. Rook: That's more like it. Good to have you back. Davrin: Somebody has to feed his feathery butt. Assan: (Happy squawk) Rook: You live to serve, my friend. Davrin: Guess we're stuck with each other, boy. No getting rid of me now. Assan: (Happy squawk) Davrin: Someday I might actually know what that means. [15]
13 - Sarcastic: It’s a living. Rook: Hey, there are worse jobs than being a professional truffle hunter. Davrin: Don't start. Assan: (Indignant squawk) Rook: He seems to like the idea. Davrin: Guess we're stuck with each other, boy. No getting rid of me now. Assan: (Happy squawk) Davrin: Someday I might actually know what that means. [15]
14 - Stoic: No more death wish. Rook: I don't want to hear any more talk about dying, okay? Davrin: Fair enough. Assan: (Pleased squawk) Rook: He's counting on you. Davrin: Guess we're stuck with each other, boy. No getting rid of me now. Assan: (Happy squawk) Davrin: Someday I might actually know what that means. [15]
15 - Scene continues.
Rook: While you sort that out, maybe you and Lucanis can try to bury the hatchet?
Davrin: Yeah.
Rook: He had a rough time of it too.
Davrin: I know. That was an incredible shot he took at Ghilan'nain.
Rook: Then tell him that—because fighting each other won't help us defeat the gods.
Davrin: But we've got help: the Wardens, Shadow Dragons, Crows, Veil Jumpers—we're all in this together.
Rook: We are, but they've all got their own problems. If we want their help, we have to help them first.
Davrin: Is that a plan I hear forming?
Rook: I think it could be… Thanks, Davrin.

Check on Lucanis
Lucanis Masterpost
The Price of the Past Masterpost Previous: Bellara’s Question
Rook finds Lucanis in his room.
Rook: Lucanis? Are you in here brooding?
Lucanis: I'm fine.
Rook: That's not a "No."
Lucanis: I had her. She should never have gotten away from me. This was our contract, Rook. I don't fail my contracts.
Dialogue options:
Flirt (Saved Treviso): I’m glad you made it back. [1]
Affable: You’ll get her next time. [2]
Sarcastic: Everyone makes mistakes. [3]
Stoic: It was a mess. [4]
1 - Flirt: I’m glad you made it back. Rook: Forget about Ghilan'nain. Lucanis: That's why I'm here. Rook: I know, but… I'm just happy you didn't get killed out there. Lucanis: You shouldn't go easy on me.
Crow Rook: Lucanis: In our line of work, mistakes get people killed. Rook: To be fair, so do successes. [5]
Non-Crow Rook: Lucanis: Mistakes get people killed. Rook: You're an assassin. So do successes. [5]
2 - Affable: You’ll get her next time. Rook: Just think how much more satisfying it'll be when you do take her down. Lucanis: We cannot count on a second shot. [5]
3 - Sarcastic: Everyone makes mistakes. Rook: This can't be the first time you've missed a target, right? What'd you do before? Lucanis: I never miss. [5]
4 - Stoic: It was a mess. Rook: Let's call it what it was. Weisshaupt was a disaster. [5]
5 - Scene continues.
Lucanis: I thought I still had this.
Saved Minrathous: Lucanis: Even with Treviso suffering, I thought I could still focus on what mattered.
Saved Treviso: Whatever else I am, I'm a professional. After the Ossuary, I thought at least I could still take out a target. I need to work.
Dialogue options:
Affable: Maybe you need a break. [6]
Sarcastic: We’re up against gods. [7]
Stoic: Stay focused. [8] +Lucanis Approves.
6 - Affable: Maybe you need a break. Rook: You might need sleep more than work at this point. Lucanis: You might be right. Rook: It's not over. Just… take care of yourself for now, okay? [9]
7 - Sarcastic: We’re up against gods. Rook: Ghilan'nain was a giant face in the clouds, Lucanis. I asked you to stab a cloud. Lucanis: And I missed the damn cloud! Rook: My point is: That was impossible, and you still almost did it. That's not small. [9]
8 - Stoic: Stay focused. Rook: Focus on what you do best: hitting your mark when they least expect it. Ghilan'nain will remember that scratch you gave her. Lucanis: For all the good it did. Rook: We didn't know what they were really capable of before. Now we do. We'll be ready next time. [9]
9 - Scene continues.
Lucanis: (Sighs) I was distracted. That cannot happen again. I need to get my head on straight.
Rook: Whatever you need to do.
Lucanis: Have you been to talk to the others? Davrin, especially. I think everyone might have… things to deal with now.
Saved Minrathous: Lucanis: It's been too long since I checked in with Viago. I should find out if things in Treviso are… stable. If I need to return there, I'll let you know. I won't miss another chance to make things right.
Saved Treviso: Lucanis: I should check in with the Crows. Whatever the word is, I'll let you know. There's nothing like work to focus the mind.

After the Storm Pt. 2
Bellara's Question
Bellara Masterpost
The Price of the Past Masterpost Previous: Talk to Solas
The PC heads to Lucanis, but is stopped by Bellara in front of the fire on the way.
Bellara: Oh. Hi, Rook. Um. Can I ask you a question? Actually, never mind. Don't worry about it.
Rook: Okay, you're several lines ahead of me here. Let's start with me saying "Hi, Bellara."
Bellara: Right. Okay. It's just. You know. The elf thing. We're fighting our gods. Our gods! It feels a little surreal. And I know surreal.
Dialogue options:
Affable: Yeah. Me, too. [1]
Sarcastic: That’s putting it mildly. [2]
Stoic: But necessary. [3]
1 - Affable: Yeah. Me, too.
Elf Rook: Rook: Yeah. It's… an adjustment. Whole lot of elven customs are feeling kind of weird right now.
Non-Elf Rook: Rook: Yeah, you and Davrin have it rough. At least we're only fighting your gods because they're evil? Maybe not the most helpful point to make. Bellara: No, it actually helps a little. But still.
2 - Sarcastic: That’s putting it mildly.
But still.
3 - Stoic: But necessary. Rook: Not like we had much of a choice. Bellara: Yeah. Rook: So what was your question?
4 - Scene continues.
Elf Rook [5]
Non-Elf Rook [6]
5 - Elf Rook Bellara: I'm worried about our people. Or… more like, how other people see us. Maybe people don't trust us. Maybe they shouldn't.
Dialogue options:
I hear you. Rook: I've had those same feelings. That guilt. But it hasn't been like that for centuries, and it isn't who we are now. [7]
We’re not our gods. Rook: Our gods aren't us. We can't judge people by their rulers—especially if those rulers are tyrants. Elves haven't been like that for centuries. [7]
It’s ancient history. Rook: They—not we, but they—did some bad things, but it was thousands of years ago. Since then, we've been on the back foot, fighting for our survival. The elven gods aren't who we are. Not anymore. [7]
6 - Non-Elf Rook
Bellara: Those are our gods out there. Rampaging around. Maybe people don't trust us. Maybe they shouldn't.
Dialogue options:
It’s not just elves. Rook: Every culture in Thedas has skeletons in its closet. Orlais. Ferelden. Most of Tevinter's skeletons aren't even trying to hide. But that isn't who the elves have been for centuries. [7]
The gods are to blame. Rook: It isn't your fault your gods woke up and decided to destroy the world. You didn't create your gods, and you aren't them. Not anymore. [7]
Could be. Rook: You might be right. Not everyone's going to trust you. But that isn't who the elves are. Not anymore, at least. [7]
7 - Scene continues.
Bellara: That feels too easy. Like we're not taking responsibility. And, I don't know. I feel guilty. Anytime I think about it, really.
Rook: So who's that helping?
Bellara: Who's what helping?
Rook: Feeling guilty.
Bellara: Well. No one, I guess. But then what should I do?
Dialogue options:
Flirt: Keep being you. [8]
Affable: Don’t take the easy lies. [9]
Sarcastic: Keep fighting the gods. [10]
Stoic: Do nothing. [11]
8 - Flirt: Keep being you. Rook: I don't know. But you're kind and compassionate, and that matters. It makes a difference. Bellara: Rook. That… means a lot. Thank you. But is it really that easy?
Elf Rook: Bellara: Does kindness make up for it? What our people did, I mean? Rook: The Evanuris did those things. And they did them to our people.
Non-Elf Rook Bellara: Does kindness make up for it? What my people did, I mean? Rook: The Evanuris did those things. And they did them to your people.
Bellara: Yeah.
9 - Affable: Don’t take the easy lies. Rook: It'd be easy to pretend that stories about the benevolent elven gods were true. But we know they weren't.
Elf Rook: Bellara: So what do we do? To make up for them, I mean? Rook: Be honest. About our history, but also about who we are now. We're more than our ancient past.
Non-Elf Rook Bellara: So what do I do? To make up for them, I mean? Rook: Be honest. About who you were, but also about who you are now. The past doesn't define you.
Bellara: Is it that easy, though? Just being honest? Rook: Honesty's hard work, but it's the right kind of work. It's important work. Bellara: Right. I get it.
10 - Sarcastic: Keep fighting the gods. Rook: Well, fighting two of the elven gods feels like a good start.
Elf Rook: Bellara: I wish that felt like enough. Like we were making up for, well… everything. But can we even do that? After what our people did? Rook: The Evanuris did those things. And they did them to our people.
Non-Elf Rook Bellara: I wish that felt like enough. Like I was making up for, well… everything. But can I really do that? After what my people did? Rook: The Evanuris did those things. And they did them to your people.
Bellara: Yeah.
11 - Stoic: Do nothing. Rook: Don't do anything. Just give it your best. That's all any of us can do.
Elf Rook: Bellara: I like to think that we're making things right. But can we even do that? After what our people did? Rook: The Evanuris did those things. And they did them to our people.
Non-Elf Rook Bellara: And, you know… I like to think I'm making things right. But can I really do that? After what my people did? Rook: The Evanuris did those things. And they did them to your people.
Bellara: Yeah.
12 - Scene continues.
Bellara: It's hard. All of it's hard. But I feel better. A little bit, anyways. Thanks. For talking to me. And listening to me.
Dialogue options:
Affable: You’re welcome. [13]
Sarcastic: Hey, I was useful! [14]
Stoic: Back to business. [15]
13 - Affable: You’re welcome. Rook: Hey, anytime. It's what I'm here for. Bellara: Right. It's a good thing to be here for. [16]
14 - Sarcastic: Hey, I was useful! Rook: I'm no bard, but I can talk. Glad it helped. Bellara: Well. You're good at it. [16]
15 - Stoic: Back to business. Rook: Glad it helped. Now, how about we get back to it? Bellara: Sure thing. [16]
16 - Scene continues.
Bellara: See you later, Rook.

After the Storm Pt. 1
Talk to Solas
The Price of the Past Masterpost Previous: The Siege of Weisshaupt
Rook sits in the meditation room.
Solas: The fall of Weisshaupt reverberated across the Fade, as did the fall of an Archdemon. But unless I am mistaken, both Elgar'nan and Ghilan'nain yet stand.
Rook: We took down Ghilan'nain's Archdemon, but we weren't able to kill her.
Solas: And how are you doing?
Affable: I’m worried about the team. [1]
Stoic: I’m fine. Let’s move on. [2]
Sad: I’m hurting. [3]
Afraid: I’m shaken. [4]
Angry: I’m furious. [5]
1 - Affable: I’m worried about the team. Rook: Right now, I'm more concerned with how the team is doing. Solas: I expect their morale is shaken after what happened. [10]
2 - Stoic: I’m fine. Let’s move on. Rook: I came to you to figure out our next steps. I don't need a shoulder to cry on. Solas: Of course. As a leader, you are wise to put away concerns and show only confidence to your team… (Chuckles) And your adversaries. At least you still have Varric to talk to. What of your companions? How have they handled the events at Weisshaupt? [10]
3 - Sad: I’m hurting. Rook: Honestly, what happened at Weisshaupt hit me hard. [6]
4 - Afraid: I’m shaken. Rook: Honestly, Weisshaupt shook me. [6]
5 - Angry: I’m furious. Rook: I watched a lot of Wardens die while Ghilan'nain didn't. How do you think I'm doing? [6]
6 - Scene continues.
Saved Minrathous: Solas: You saw Treviso blighted. What makes Weisshaupt harder to bear?
Saved Treviso: Solas: You saw the Venatori seize control of Minrathous. What makes Weisshaupt harder to bear?
Dialogue options:
It just keeps coming.
I couldn’t see a way to win.
I was in command.
7 - It just keeps coming. Rook: It adds up. D'Meta's Crossing. The attacks on Minrathous and Treviso. Every time, it's been worse. More terrible magic, more good people killed. And it's only going to get worse until I find a way to stop them. [10] 8 - I couldn’t see a way to win. [10] 9 - I was in command. Rook: This time I was in charge. The Grey Wardens listened to my plan. My team followed orders. Everyone was depending on me. But we couldn't kill Ghilan'nain. Weisshaupt fell because I failed. [10] 10 - Scene continues. Solas: Rook, I led a rebellion against Elgar'nan for a hundred of your lifetimes. I have been where you now stand. Do you know how many times I had to order my rebels to retreat when we were outmatched in raw power? You rendered Ghilan'nain mortal and escaped with your lives. The sting of wishing you had done more will push you to improve, but Weisshaupt was a victory. And your team will see your passion, even if you must conceal the extent of your own pain. How are your companions, after what happened? [11]
11 - Scene continues.
Dialogue options:
They’re arguing. [12]
They’re scared. [13]
I know they can do this. [14]
12 - They’re arguing. Rook: They've spent a lot of time yelling at each other… or me. Solas: Not the worst outcome, all things considered. Properly focused, that anger can forge your team into a weapon keen enough to cut through any obstacle. [15]
13 - They’re scared. Rook: What happened at Weisshaupt left a lot of them rattled. Solas: That is to be expected. They faced Ghilan'nain in the flesh. Properly focused, their fear will spur them to fight harder, to be ready next time. [15]
14 - I know they can do this. Rook: They have what it takes to stop the gods. I just need to need to get them to believe it. Solas: Indeed. They must know beyond any doubt that you believe in them. [15]
15 - Scene continues.
Solas: You cannot stand against Elgar'nan and Ghilan'nain with logic. Those motivated by greed or self-interest will change alliances. But those who serve you with passion and loyalty will follow wherever you lead… Even to their deaths, if necessary.
Dialogue options:
I can’t give that order. [16]
It wont come to that. [17]
I understand. [18]
16 - I can’t give that order. Rook: I won't order anyone to their death. Solas: If you gain their loyalty, you will not need to order them. They will volunteer. Rook: Solas, no. Solas: A cause like yours is larger than any one person. It is even larger than your own wishes. Your team will not thank you for sparing them if the world falls to the blight. But perhaps it will not come to that. For now, you have a team to rebuild. [19]
17 - It wont come to that. Rook: I'm not planning to order anyone to their deaths. Solas: If you gain their loyalty, they will need no orders. They will volunteer. Rook: I can't build these people up knowing I might have to send them to their deaths. There's always another option. Solas: (Sighs) Perhaps you are right. Building your team is the best way to minimize the chance of such an order becoming necessary. [19]
18 - I understand. Rook: I knew I might have to make a call like that when Varric put me in charge. Solas: A good leader never makes such a decision lightly, but when the time comes, it is better to be prepared. And perhaps it will not come to that. The stronger your team, the more chances you will have to avoid such a decision. [19]
19 - Scene continues.
Rook: I'll keep that in mind. Do you have any suggestions on our next move against the gods?
Solas: If you oppose Elgar'nan and Ghilan'nain's minions, you will get your opportunity.
Rook: You think one of the Antaam or Venatori commanders will help us find the gods?
Solas: Possibly, but more importantly, you will aggravate them. You rendered Ghilan'nain mortal at Weisshaupt. It is an embarrassment—an insult—neither she nor Elgar'nan can ignore. If you continue to disrupt their plans, you will not need to track them down. They will come to you.
Dialogue options:
Affable: Understood. [20]
Sarcastic: I’m baiting them? [21]
Stoic: Then it’s our turn. [22]
20 - Affable: Understood. Rook: I'll be ready. [23]
21 - Sarcastic: I’m baiting them? Rook: You think I can goad the gods into making a mistake? Solas: I have absolute faith in your ability to aggravate enemies who should know better than to underestimate you. [23]
22 - Stoic: Then it’s our turn. Rook: And then we get some payback for Weisshaupt. Solas: As long as you are ready when the opportunity comes. [23]
23 - Scene continues.
Solas: One final warning: you have survived a confrontation with Ghilan'nain, which few still live to claim. But her power pales in comparison to Elgar'nan's. If he takes the field, himself… Remember, in a fight such as ours, escaping to fight another day is a victory.

Took my little break, feeling refreshed, but I have a little update: I had a interview that went really well, which means I'll probably be starting a job here soon. Posting will slow down a lot, but I'll try to have transcripts posted a couple times a week!
If I don't get the position, I'll probably be slowing down a bit anyways while I continue the job hunt.
Thanks for your support!!
(I've been taking a break lately, but I plan to get back to posting next week!)
