La Pascualita
Urban Legend
This mannequin has been in a store window in Chihuahua, Mexico for the past 75 years. Pascualita also has a very unique urban legend behind her. Many believe that she is not a mannequin, but the perfectly preserved corpse of the previous ownerâs daughter.
Sonia Burciaga, a shop worker says, âEvery time I go near Pascualita my hands break out in a sweat. Her hands are very realistic and she even has varicose veins on her legs. I believe sheâs a real person.â
Other stories include Pascualita chaning positions on her own, her eyes following you around and the usual superstitions that come with haunted maannequins.

Be careful when you search for parts. Especially when the Terms and Condition include "An Eye for an Eye".

The Curse of âLitte Bastardâ
On September 30th, 1955, James Dean was driving his Porsche Spyder when it crashed (head on) with another car. Dean was pinned inside, neck broken. His friend in the passenger seat was thrown from the car and survived. So did the man Dean crashed into.
This is where the urban legend of this curse begins. George Barris (a car designer) bought the Porsche to use it for parts. When it was delivered to his yard, it rolled of the truck and broke a mechanicâs legs.
Next, a doctor named, Troy McHenry bought the engine of the Porsche to replace his own. He died in a car crash the first time he took it out for a drive.
The fatalities and injuries continue. Another doctor bought some parts and was seriously injured in a car wreck. Someone bought two of the tires and got into a wreck when both of them blew out at the same time. The shell of the Dean car was being transported to a road safety exhibition in Salinas when the truck skidded and crashed. The driver was killed. This urban legend, whether true or not, is an interesting one.

Be extra careful when you're babysitting.

Everybody knows the urban legend of The Babysitter. The storyline is that a teenage girl is babysitting alone at night. She is watching TV after putting the children to bed when she receives a phone call in which a man laughs down the phone, telling her to check on the children. She eventually rings the police after numerous calls from the mysterious caller without ever checking on the children. The police trace the call and tell her the calls are coming from inside the house and tell her to run outide immediately. The man had been calling her after he killed each child.
What people donât know is that this urban legend is loosely based on a real crime - the murder of 13-year-old Janett Christman, who was killed while babysitting. On the evening of March 18, 1950, she called 911 screaming down the phone shouting âcome quickâ before the line went dead, but at a time when calls could not be traced, the operator had no idea where she was. She was found when the parents came home. She was dead in the living room and had been bludgeoned with a blunt object, raped, and strangled. The baby remained upstairs asleep. The murder was never solved.

Is it a good place to skip rock?

Blue Hole
Also called âDevilâs Puddle,â the Blue Hole is located southern New Jersey, in the Winslow Wildlife Management Area. Many legends surround this mysterious body of water, and it is alleged that it is the famed Jersey Devilâs portal back to hell. Other legends state that the pool is bottomless, that the water is freezing year-round, and that strange whirlpools will attempt to suck down swimmers into the poolâs depths. Some say the pool has a bottom, but is made of fine âsugar sandâ that acts like quicksand. Visits to the pool report crystal clear water and an unsettling stillness to the pond. There are no signs of life in its waters. Decades ago, it was a popular swimming hole for locals, but slowly gained its creepy reputation over the years. With its creepy stillness and oddly clear water, it is easy to see how the Blue Hole could cause uneasiness in its visitors.
