If you're wondering who this little guy is, I ended up getting an idea for a story centered around this guy I named Samovar (or Sam for short), though idk if I'll end up actually finishing it. If you're wondering what the story is, it basically centers around Sam moving into a new city after some tragedy within his family, and he ends up being the target of... someone after coming across a new café in town and befriending its sole employee.

Some fun facts about the guy:

Samovar's name refers to an urn-like object used mainly in Eastern European countries (along with parts of West, Central, and South Asia) to boil water. The word is of Russian origin, but most of his peers think it's a weird thing to name someone after, so most just call him Sam instead.

He's mostly of Russian decent, but also has some Han Chinese heritage on his mom's side.

He downs caffeinated beverages a lot, mostly because his tea creature side needs lots of caffeine as a diet requirement (tea contains plenty of caffeine, after all). Most people assume he's a caffeine addict because of his busy job as a salesman for eatery companies, though (which he supposes does have some truth to it).

If you're wondering what "tea creature" means in this context, basically, the setting I thought up for his story includes these beings that are physically mostly made of food products (such as tea, coffee, dough, et cetera). Some people don't really like them as they usually have a high dietary requirement related to what they're based on (tea creatures, in this case, would crave caffeine and occasionally leaves). However, some others DO really like them, and offspring between humans and these food-based creatures does sometimes occur. In Samovar's case, his mom was a tea creature, and he honestly doesn't it all that weird.

Samovar does have a fiancée in the form of a woman named Thalia Morgan. She is the love of his life, practically his muse, even, and the two had bonded together in their teens over their love for plants and protecting the environment. However, something that happens after Samovar comes across a particular café ends up throwing his relationship with Thalia in for a loop...

Hello! How are you today? Today, I just wanted to ask you something related to the lore of your Distortionist fanfic.

Did Christopher and Rosemary’s parents, back in the 1940s, I think, know about their relationship, or did they keep it a secret until Rosemary got frightened by Christopher and parted ways from him?

I honestly didn't expect to get more questions about this fanfic after it was finished, but... okay! I'll answer!

Rosemary and Christopher didn't really hide their friendship during their high school days. Rosemary's parents knew about Christopher, and Christopher's mom knew about Rosemary. Christopher's mom was just happy to see that her son wasn't lonely anymore, but Rosemary's parents were suspicious of Christopher from the start, not helped by the fact that it was the 1940s at the time and Christopher was a white guy who had immigrated from Europe not too long ago. But yeah, when Christopher and Rosemary's friendship went down during their last year together, Rosemary's parents were like "that guy is definitely NOT safe being around" and encouraged her to move out of New Brunswick with them as soon as possible.

Also fun fact: This wasn't revealed in the original fanfic but Christopher's mom's name in the fanfic was Lovisa Pierre. She was of Swedish and French decent, and had lived in and/or around Stockholm for most of her life before she ended up immigrating out of the country with her only child Christopher around 1940 due to... political tensions in surrounding areas at the time. It's not too hard to infer why she'd want to go live in a country less likely to be turned into a warzone like Canada.

(Unlike my previous Roblox-related art, I ended up deciding to not draw 1x1x1x1 with Robloxian anatomy, but instead tried to draw him as how he could hypothetically look in a world where humans were the dominant species instead of Robloxians)
