shock of shocks i actually have a non-elsen off oc!! here's some concept art of esmee, princess of the toad kingdom + tiburce

esmee's original design was very bland and plain in comparison to what she had now, being very tall with a black turtleneck and straight-cut pants. lorewise she remains the same; she's the heiress to the toad kingdom (aka the land that the toad king mentioned in The Book in zone 2) but resents her father's violent and cruel actions towards his people, so after her father died, she fled on a boat and sailed so far away from the shores of the abandoned kingdom, she ended up in the zones

(her plain clothes in her past iteration was meant for her to immediately distance herself from her lineage as toadfolk)

personality wise she's a very clever person, using her role as heiress to get what she needs, though she's more willing to keep to herself. she's a strategist after all and will only flaunt her status when absolutely necessary (such as finding lodging in the zones upon her arrival)

but yeah she resents her "cursed bloodline" and still wants to distance her name from the toad name, she likes books quite a lot and wants to be a librarian!

a really great organization that i don't see any posts about here is HEAL palestine. it was founded by steve sosebee, who was a founding president of the PCRF before leaving in late 2023 to refocus his efforts on heal palestine to better meet the needs of palestinians impacted by the genocide. the organization provides palestinians in gaza with food, clean water, shelters, "makeshift classrooms," and even medical evacuation for some children when it's possible--their services are pretty wide.

you can donate here if you would like to send a tax-deductible donation to an organization. also, i don't think any evacuations are possible right now, but if you're in the united states and you'd like to welcome medically evacuated children in the future, i highly recommend signing up for their newsletter or following them on social media so you can stay updated in case any children evacuated by HEAL come to your area for treatment. welcoming these kids at the airport is a really moving way to provide them with moral support, entirely for free.
