Blanc Chapter 10 Raws
Hey all! Like I mentioned before, my physical copy of the magazine couldn’t make it to me because of covid/shipping reasons, but my friend in Japan was kind enough to get the raws to me! She actually has a scanner, so she was able to scan the magazine, thus the different format. However, the images are not the highest quality, and for that, I apologize! When I get my copy, I will be able to get better pictures, but for now, this will have to do!!
There is a lot of dialogue in this chapter, so it may take a while for me to translate. Thanks for your patience, as always!
And, as the nice anon told me, Nakamura-sensei wasn’t able to get the last chapter in Opera vol. 76, so we have one more chapter to look forward to in Opera vol. 77 which will be coming out at the end of August.
Enjoy!

model - winnie harlow
Chantelle Brown-Young better known as Winnie Harlow is a 25 year old, Canadian model. Harlow became famous for being a contestant on the 21st cycle of America’s Next Top Model (a U.S television series). After ANTM, she modelled for a Spainish clothing company (Desigual) and became an ambassador (a person who is hired to represent a brands in a positive way to increase sales and awareness). Later on in September, Harlow walked the runaway for the clothing brand Ashish for their spring/summer 2015 collection during London Fashion week. After that, Harlow started to become an sensation around the fashion/modelling industry. She has been the cover of many popular magazines such as, Cosmopolitan (August, 2015 issue), Ebony (September, 2015), Bazaar Singapore (May, 2018 issue) and has graced the cover of Vogue Arabia (June, 2019 issue) with another model, Shahad Shahad (all pictured down below). Harlow has also modelled at the Victoria Secret’s Fashion Show in 2018, was featured in a commercial for both Sprite and Swarovski in 2016, and in the same year was chosen as one of BBC’s 100 women.
At the age of 4 years old, Winnie Harlow was diagnosed with a chronic skin condition called vitiligo (a skin condition that causes the pigment cells of the skin to be destroyed causing discolouration in certain areas of the body). Harlow re-calls been bullying and been called names such as ‘cow’ and ‘zebra; throughout her childhood due to her condition. The verbal abuse though her peers led to her moving to different schools multiple times and later on dropping out of her, after she contemplated suicide. In an interview she once said,
“The emotional aspects of living with vitiligo are very real but often overlooked. Many children who have the disorder face egregious teasing and bullying.”
- Harlow referring to getting bullied due to her skin condition (interview in references). In July 2011, Harlow posted a video to Youtube “Vitiligo; A Skin Condition, not a Life Changer”, talking about living with vitiligo and answering questions about it with Toronto journalist Shannon Boodram. The video got more than 150,000 views at the time (750,000 in 2019) and was the start of her modelling career as Boodram encourage Winnie to consider modelling at the age of 16.
Winnie Harlow influenced the fashion industry by accepting her vitiligo and changing beauty standards for the modelling industry. Harlow learned to embrace her vitiligo which made her more distinctive and authentic. Not only has she made women feel more confident in expressing their insecurities and condition but also has made the fashion industry more diverse and more accepting to people with skin conditions. In the words of Winnie Harlow,
“I always say you should focus on your own opinion of yourself, rather than the opinions of others.”
