I decided to play with the aesthetic of the meme with my new iterations. I used photoshop to put SpongeBob into different backgrounds and played with the placement of text. Some of the memes focus on the typical upper and lower case type while others center around the visuals. Overall, I tried to push the boundaries of the SpongeBob meme.

The first five memes are my new set of found internet memes. They all vary in style and content of the SpongeBob meme. Some create a dialogue between two individuals that are humors and sometimes dark. Only one of the memes does not follow the upper and lower case text which I found interesting. The last two are the ones that I created. The first one is a joke that design students can understand that is simple. The second is a meme that is general and relatable to many. The important factor of memes is their ability to relate to a wide audience. I used other images from SpongeBob that convey the concept of things going wrong.聽
