LA Lilo & Stitch Review:

I finally got to see the Live Action with my movie buddy; my mom today and we both agree that was probably our favorite Live Action Disney Film.

From the casting, to the writing/script to Stitch’s animation, the director and yes even some storyline changes this film had everything key in making a Live Action adaptation.

By far, without spoilers, Dean Fleischer Camp (the Director; which this is his 2nd film ever) and writers: Chris Kekaniokalani Bright and Mike Van Waes captured the meaning of Óhana like the animated film but, to be able to watch a LIVE cast’s emotions was perhaps one of the best choices when it comes to why Walt Disney Productions adapted the story.

Honestly, Disney should let Dean keep directing Live Action Lilo + Stitch films and they should let “newer directors” do the job cause if this adaptation was as successful as I feel… that might be the key for Disney. I’m also actually glad that the changes were made the way they were. Because, Live Action film adaptations are supposed to be unique/different but, honor the original and that’s exactly what it did.

Did I wish there were a little more Iconic moments…? maybe. Not having them though kept that element to be explored later on.

Congratulations to everyone involved, cast & crew and I hope the future is BIG just like Space for a sequel or two!

Fan Event Experience Tonight

What an Epic Movie! It had EVERYTHING a GREAT movie/story needs and Fan’s wanted. Tho, I was in a theatre with Fans who weren’t afraid to let their appreciation for Marvel Studios out!

From all the laughs, claps of appreciation and excitement to the oohs & awws to the tears. I have enjoyed the recent Marvel Studios but, the amount of dedication to the fanbase and characters was heavily noticed and obviously appreciated by the theatre; without SPOILERS there was a fan who at the end shouted after the post credits: “that was a great movie!” and he got some claps, he wasn’t wrong at all.

Emotional storytelling but, done with such respect and dignity.

I’ll keep this short but, please know the only way to get things done and fight our demons is together! Humor is indeed the best medicine and loneliness doesn’t need to exist.

Everyone can find their tribe. 🥹

My advice:

Go see this film, you won’t regret it!!!! 🌟

That was some of the most violently brutal shit I’ve seen from a TV show so... live with it and deal with the fact that Marvel Studios, Marvel Television and Disney just gave y’all whine asses what you wanted.

The best part, imo, of both of today's eps is not Matt finally putting the Daredevil suit on, nor Fisk starting to snap, nor Muse finally getting screen time, and not even the shit ton of symbolism (religious and otherwise) smacking you in the face.

It's that Yusuf Khan watched Matt beat up a banker robber and then unlock a bank vault, and was like "I am gonna mind my own fucking business I don't want any more information about this Thank You Very Much!"

Who do you also think will be making a visit to Matt?

We all ready know about Frank and Kamala Khan’s father is stopping by but, in true Marvel Studios fashion… that can’t be it.

Every criticism of Captain America; Brave New World means nothing to me, and here is why: My 11 and 15-year-old nephews, who are Black boys, loved Captain America: Brave New World. Every other review or criticism is invalid to me because when 15-year-old Billy said, “That was the best Captain America movie” and 11-year-old Manny ran around the house the next day saying, “I’m Captain America” that’s all that mattered. That’s all that matters. Two Black boys saw it and loved it. That’s important. Sam Wilson is important.

Just came back from watching CABNW and GOOD LORD it was an experience! Anthony Mackie slayed every second he was on screen, dude. I LOVED IT!!!

You know what else was an experience? Watching Danny Ramirez as Joaquin in that blue tank top 😭🙏🏽

Welcome to the next generation of Marvel. Season 1 was outstanding, no criticism, I thoroughly enjoyed this season for the masterpiece it was.

captain america: the first avenger is about how nazis fucking suck and we need to band together to stop them.

captain america: the winter soldier is about how fascists can be anywhere, and we have to stop them, even if it means going against what feels like the whole world.

captain america: civil war is about how even when there are fewer fascists, regular people can still be wrong and the government can't be trusted to keep the best interest of minorities in mind.

captain america: brave new world (and, to an extent, TFATWS) is about how when people in power keep secrets, miscommunicate, and spread lies, everyone suffers.
