Oh no - Autumn discovered her fiancee, Jax is in fact an alien. She is devastated as they had a true connection but she has doubts whether her feelings are genuine or if he has used his alien powers to manipulate her. 

Whimsy Legacy Challenge

So I rediscovered the greatness that is Tumblr and decided to record my Whimsy Legacy challenge by the incredibly talented challenge creator: @lysiablr (https://lysiablr.tumblr.com/ in case the preceding tag doesn't work!)

So without further ado - meet Autumn Whimsy Gen 1. She is already well into her Young Adult life and has achieved the Master Maker aspiration as I have been playing this challenge for some time before I decided to post about it.

Her traits are:

Freegan (mandatory trait)

Loves Outdoor (mandatory trait)

Genius

Self-Assured (self-discovery trait)

Good (self-discovery trait)

Active (self-discovery trait)

Muser (aspiration trait achievement)

She is currently engaged (but not yet co-habiting with) to Jax McKenzie who she suspects may actually be an alien. She has her suspicions after a traumatic alien abduction on her second night in Willow Creek has resulted in night terrors where Jax is a common occurrence in her flashbacks to the abduction. She is hoping this is her imagination running wild but is keen to gain proof - which if she discovers he is in fact an alien - this will be a dealbreaker for her and she will have no choice but to call off the engagement. In the meantime she is concentrating on her Freelance Crafter career (level 7) even though her Freegan morals are telling her to quit as she feels as though she is a corporate sell-out. She is hoping to rid herself of these negative thoughts by attending yoga classes and as it turns out she is quite a natural at yoga and wellness.

Despite her romantic life being in potential turmoil and her uncertainties about her professional life she is happy living in her one-story micro-home that she furnished by fabricating all of her own furniture and upcycling appliances she found by dumpster-diving. She was even lucky enough to find a Money Fruit whilst dumpster diving and has nurtured it into a perfect Money Tree so she is happy in the knowledge that her heir will be looked after financially.

I was…

Diagnosed with autism today. I’m 29 years old, and female.

I’m just so bloody relieved to have official validation that I’m not a “freak” or a “sensitive snowflake” but I’m still learning a lot about autism, if anyone could give me advice that would be great because there’s not much on Google about adults on the spectrum, just young children, mostly Male.

When SeaWorld says they care about their animals

I think the thing that upsets me the most when captives die is the way people react to it. It’s always “omg the poor trainers! Poor SeaWorld!” Or “omg I’ll never see her again! I’ll never be her trainer!” It’s never “jfc this whale just died way too young of something that was probably related to their living situation and now the rest of their makeshift pod has to adjust to life without this important member”

Still in awe that I actually stitched this. You know when you're so proud of something you've accomplished? This would be if for me. Always going to Olivia's room to stare at it like a proud momma.

I stitched Olivias name and a snowflake into this as I was so tempted to keep it for myself & I did stitch it for her. It actually looks better than it did now I think so quite happy with it!

Umm I actually think it’s really cool that some ex SeaWorld trainers who had never seen a wild orca in their lives and only knew about captive ones now go whale watching every year together and are completely against orca captivity like that was their career and their entire life and they quit even though they loved it. they knew it was wrong so they changed and those are some excellent people to know and look up to I really don’t care what the haters have to say.

Very, very, very exciting news everybody! Adam Schiff, a congressman from California, as well as congressman Richard Bloom are going to introduce a new legislation to congress that could ban orca captivity everywhere in the United States!

Called ORCA (The Orca Responsibility and Care Advancement Act), this proposed law would ban capture, breeding, and transportation of orcas inside the US, effectively phasing out the current captive stock. This could mean a future without captive killer whales.

I know I run a book blog so maybe this isn’t the right platform for this, but girls: Please look out for other girls. Tonight I was stuck at a bus stop in Shoreditch circa 2 AM and saw another young woman getting harassed by a drunk, aggressive dude, and at first I thought, “She’s got it under control.” But then he started touching her and I went “No, that’s definitely not right.” So I barged over and shoved him out of the way and said, “Beth?? Oh my God, how are you, I haven’t seen you since grade school!” And this girl I’d never seen before in my life threw her arms around my neck and whispered, “You are an angel, thank God.” We talked for fifteen minutes, the creep lost interest, I watched her get on the bus and I will sleep so much better knowing she got home in one piece. If you see something weird happening, intervene. The worst that can happen is embarrassment, and I think that’s worth the risk when you consider the alternative.
