The Impact of Mario RPGs
I feel like there are a lot of people who dismiss Mario RPGs as some weird Mario spin-off games that have no real impact on the rest of the Mario franchise. However, they actually have contributed to the rest of the franchise in some important ways. They have expanded on the Mario universe by showing new locations and characters we haven't seen in other Mario games. Super Mario RPG fleshed out Peach and Bowser's personalities. The first Paper Mario game continued to flesh out Peach and Bowser's personalities while also fleshing out Luigi's personality. Without Mario RPGs, we probably wouldn't get to see Peach have more agency. Without Mario RPGs, we probably wouldn't have the song "Peaches" from The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Without Mario RPGs, Peach would probably just be a typical damsel in distress and never anything else. Without Mario RPGs, Bowser would probably just be a generic villain who wants to take over the world and never anything else. Without Mario RPGs, Luigi probably wouldn't even be a real character. He would just be Mario's little brother who you can play as in some games. At this point, it should be pretty clear that the Mario RPGs have had a pretty big impact on the Mario franchise as a whole.

If you're someone who's never understood why classic Paper Mario fans dislike the modern Paper Mario games, yet you still want to attempt to understand their perspective, then I recommend reading this. Remember, most of what I say about these games is just my opinion. It's perfectly fine if you disagree with me on anything I say here.
Here's my ranking of the Paper Mario games from worst to best:
6. Paper Mario: Sticker Star 5. Paper Mario: Color Splash 4. Paper Mario 64 3. Paper Mario: The Origami King 2. Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door 1. Super Paper Mario
I think Paper Mario 64, TTYD, and Super Paper Mario were meant to feel like someone was telling you a story from a storybook based on events that happened in the main Mario universe. I think the modern Paper Mario games are the only Paper Mario games that take place in a separate universe.
I prefer the classic games, but I also can enjoy the modern games as well. However, I have a hard time believing that a new Paper Mario game could have characters, a story, or a soundtrack that's way better than Origami King without returning the Paper Mario series to how it used to be.
That being said, if you prefer the modern Paper Mario games, then that's okay. People have different tastes, no one should try to force you to like something you're not interested in. In fact, people having different tastes in video games is why I think having games like the first three Paper Mario games is important for the Mario franchise. I'm pretty sure the main reason Mario has so many different series of games is so the Mario franchise can appeal to as many people as possible.
The 2D Mario games are for people who like 2D platformers. The 3D Mario games are for people who like 3D platformers and adventure games. The Mario sports games are for people who like sports games. The Mario Party games are for people who like party games. The Mario Kart games are for people who like racing games. The Dr. Mario games are for people who like puzzle games like Tetris. And the Mario RPGs are for people who like RPGs. While RPGs tend to have deeper stories than other games, some RPGs have much simpler stories. The Mario and Luigi RPGs had simpler stories. But the classic Paper Mario games weren't just for people who like RPGs. They were for people who liked games with deeper stories, lore, worldbuilding, and a colorful cast of characters. I just wish that everything that made modern Paper Mario fans like the modern Paper Mario games could exist in a separate Mario game series. So that way both sides of the fandoms could have what they want.
If you still don't feel like you understand classic Paper Mario fans at all, then I recommend checking out this series of Paper Mario reviews on YouTube. The YouTube channel is called "The Red Guy" and his reviews are probably the best Paper Mario review videos I've ever seen. I think he does a good job explaining why he and many other classic Paper Mario fans feel the way they do about the games. However, if you already had planned on playing the TTYD remake, then I would suggest not watching the reviews, since they contain spoilers for TTYD. The reviews are also pretty long, so I wouldn't blame you for not wanting to spend so much time watching them. This was just a suggestion for anyone who wanted to try and get a better understanding of why classic Paper Mario fans view the series the way that they do.
Here is a link to the Paper Mario review playlist.

My Favorite Video Games: Intro
So, I wanted to make a ranking of all the video games that I like, but it’s really difficult to just rank over a hundred different video games. So, I decided to make smaller rankings for each year.
The lists have the games ranked from least favorite to most favorite.
Game systems for each game are included in parenthesis.
If you have any questions feel free to ask.

I thought the whole point of Infinity Train being on HBO Max was so they could have more leeway to exploring themes and issues that the network wouldn't allow. But it's not getting continued because HBO Max thinks it wouldn't appeal to children? Fine then market it towards young adults instead.
It baffles the hell outta me that Infinity Train has had to claw and scratch for every season when it's a really popular show???? People love the train! Ya'll're gonna make money off the train! MORE TRAIN.

Huh... no wonder I love this show so much. I mean, I don’t really care what gender the protagonist is; personality is the most important thing to me, but I definitely like all the other stuff on this list.
If you like at least 5 of the following:
Puppies
Creative cartoon worlds
Character growth
Female protagonists
Psychological horror
Mystery
Funny robots
Body horror
Gruesome deaths
Talking monkeys
You should watch Infinity Train!

The fact that Cartoon Network cancelled infinity train because they didn’t like the fact that Book 5 had an older female lead is bullcrap. But from what it looks like the fan push on thursday may have some actual hope attached to it.
So you can bet I’m going to be posting about infinity train obsessively in the next few days and especially on thursday.
Infinity train is a game changer for animation in the west, and I refuse to let it go just because Cartoon Network is too scared of an older female lead despite the fact the fandom has doubled since the release of book 4, its been trending on HBO max above GOT for weeks now, it has repeatedly trended on twitter, people love and have and will pay for this show. It is nothing but misogyny and the idea that cartoons have to be “just for kids” not allowing this show to be finished.

Greetings PASSENGERS we still have a chance to save infinity train! On April 29 at 10 AM EST we’ll trend 'FINISH INFINITY TRAIN' we need to let @hbomax and @cartoonnetwork hear our voices that we want this masterpiece to continue #InfinityTrain on Twitter
Just do fan art, question threads ,edits and fancams just whatever it takes to grab their attention
Look I know you all are coping because the show ended but I know if we work together we can still save this masterpiece,
We just need the ‘‘right push’’
We can still save this masterpiece together

Renew Infinity Train
So I heard the Infinity Train fandom is doing this thing where on April 29 we’ll be trying to spread the word and try to get it the last couple of seasons to give an actual ending to this show.
So I just wanted to say if you never have seen Infinity Train you should try and watch it, it’s so cool and it’s not all sunshine and rainbows there can be some dark ass scenes too!!!
If we spread the word to finish this show we may be able to get the rest of the seasons and maybe even more stuff like video games and merchandise!!! I am not forcing you to check this out but if you do please try to get this show a proper ending. Even the creator wants to get the show renewed because he has more plans for this show.
Tumblr media
Also if you’re not in the US you can still try and help and try not to be mean because then people are less likely to want to watch the show and spread it. And don’t spam #renewinfinitytrain on random HBO max or CN posts. If anything create you’re own post saying why you want the show back or you’re fav scene/charcter or something.

Please watch Infinity Train on HBO Max
Infinity Train is a cartoon geared towards teens and adults on HBO Max. There are 4 seasons, each with ten 11-minute episodes. If you like anime or cartoons like Gravity Falls, Steven Universe, or Adventure Time, then you should definitely watch Infinity Train. This show is at risk of being phased out, so please check out Infinity Train and if you like it spread the word and show your support.
