Have I ever shown you guys these very early Laudna sketches?
My instinct was very angular and sculptural with Laudna (code name Noir). Marisha moved more towards a broken doll kind of look, with wide eyes and a broken neck. Then again- I didn’t know about the broken neck! I figured it out when the fandom figured it out.
I also remember Marisha asking for a break in her skirt with crochet panes and I was legitimately worried that I wouldn’t be able to draw crochet lol. I concentrated hard at leveling up on fabrics and materials in my time with the Bells Hells. I think that effort paid off- it’s one of my favorite elements of character design, now.

Oh wow that's crazy, you mean the reason Veilguard was a letdown was because of horrible mismanagement from clueless execs, not because of a trans director or 'woke' devs? Shocking.
In all seriousness, obviously anyone with half a brain already knew this, but gamergate fuckwits just wanted excuses to blame, target and harass writers and devs, as usual. They will continue to learn nothing.
I hope Corinne enjoys some vindication today, she and the team deserved none of the bullshit treatment they received.
Regardless of anything else about what the game ended up being, the fact they were able to get a working and practically bug-free experience out of that development hell is praise-worthy. It was the smoothest launch experience of any recent big game I've played (looking at you baldur's gate 3, which is still buggy...).
I also really hope this might be a wake-up call for these idiots in charge and their obsession with dictating to devs to chase trends or whatever the fuck their problem is, but it probably won't be.

i like to imagine the act 1 kirkwall gang hanging out on those steps outside gamlen’s place for no reason. just sort of lounging and bickering
#oh I love this?#i always loved da2's vibes of the friend group living in the same city and hanging out#and that you could visit them and they visit each other#this evokes all those good vibes#❤️#off screen is gamlen yelling at these kids to get off his porch

Well that's pretty clear. Gonna be hard to use that 'separate the art from the artist' line for this one eh?
Oh who am I kidding they'll do it anyway.
Interesting that by saying it out loud she's basically removing any lingering plausible deniability her fanbase could've used to continue playing ignorant though.
Possible recruitment / radicalising tactic? Stoke conflict in fandom spaces and hope viewers feel attacked and become sympathetic to you? I don't know, but I could certainly see it happening.

You really can't post anything related to feminism here without the TERFs tripping out of their clown cars to try and co-opt it huh

Watched my first Daggerheart-related thingy today. Age of Umbra sounds intriguing. I'm intrigued.
The session zero stuff is neat to watch.

I think an evil-ish campaign one day could be super fun but I also think, judging by the reactions whenever Imogen or Laudna did anything even close to morally questionable, the fandom would become uninhabitable.
