Can I ask. How exactly do you plan the layout of towns and cities? It’s Such a mess for mine
This is a hard one because I feel like mine are a mess too haha I like to think about where the town or city is in the larger area and how they are affected by it. Like are they near a dense forest or in a mountain range the layout would be different for both because towns that heavily supply lumber would be near a river to move the trees down stream so that’d be a major feature in the town etc.
I’d just suggest focusing on what the majority of the people in that area do to survive and let it unfold from there.

It’s good to be back. I plan on prepping for Waterdeep Dragon Heist and Dungeon of the Mad Mage next. I took a dnd hiatus and I’m so excited to finally start prepping another campaign :)

I made a contract for Thavius Kreeg in the book it’s cast onto iron plates, but I decided to do a traditional contract. I coffee stained the paper and made it legal size (8.5 by 14in) I also wax sealed it as well!

The Fall of Elturel.
To start off the campaign I ran The Fall of Elturel on DMsGuild. It’s very well done and gave the players a deeper connection to Elturel than just starting the campaign saying “Wow, the city next to us just disappeared” they actually got to see it and experience it. I think this helped set the mood for the campaign perfectly.
I’m actually running this campaign for 2 groups right now and so far the groups are complete polar opposites to one another which has been fun to see how each group handles each session.
Group One consists of a Druid, Wizard, Warlock, and two Fighters.
Group Two consists of a Paladin, Rouge, Warlock, and Wizard.
I’ll post session reviews over the next few days to catch up as both groups are around Candlekeep right now!

I bought the Flaming Fist badge and Soul Coin from Beadles and Grimm and resin cast them for props for my players. I think they are really going to like them a lot!

Hi I saw the post about asking questions. Do you have a favorite character that you have made or class to play as?
My favorite class to play is a tie between a rogue and a monk! I don't really like to play spellcasters I keep trying it, but it's just not my jam.
Hmm. My favorite character I've made was named Sariel, she was an elven Inquisitive (Rogue). She was already a well off bounty hunter when she joined the party, but enjoyed their company and started with them until the end of the campaign. She also got a nat 20 on Tiamat and we were level 15 I think, she had an oathbow, and something else but I remember I legit got to roll like 30d6 and hit Tiamat for almost 200 damage. It was fabulous.

Hello, Hello!
I would love for y'all to send me questions to my inbox about general D&D stuff, my characters, homebrew content, or just about myself in general!
Please and thank you! ❤️

Drawing my homebrew map was a lot of fun and I'm thinking about taking commissions for custom fantasy maps for a little extra cash. I'm undecided on whether I should go with an Etsy shop or make an actually website..
Do you guys have any experience or advice on this?

My map isn't finished. I still need to add forests etc. So it's really empty, but I wanted to play around with coffee strains. I printed them at work I had two different types of paper the lighter paper is regular copy paper and the slightly darker one is 80g paper. I forgot to crumble the 80g paper and it turned out smooth even after crumbling it when it dried. So my favorite ended up being the regular copy paper which surprised me because I'm a paper snob lol
My process was preheating the oven to 200 or lowest setting and crumbling my paper. I choose to dab on the coffee on the first try and soaking the paper in coffee on the 80g paper. This resulted in lighter paper with the dabbing and darker for soaking so it's your preference here. I set my time for 5 minutes and let the paper absorb the coffee and then dabbed off excess coffee before putting it in the oven. I set my time again for 5 minutes and waited for the edges to lift. The thin paper took right at 5 minutes, but the 80g was in the oven for about 8 minutes and then edges were very dry and hard, but the middle was still wet so I took it out and got my hair dryer out to finish it because I didn't want to catch the house on fire lol
Now to actually finish drawing the rest of the map!

Currently putting some lines down for my first homebrew world. I've been watching a lot of YouTube videos on how to draw maps and this is what I've got so far. I'll be adding rivers and lakes next. 😬

The End of the Abyss
My first venture into the world of trying out this DM thing had come to an end. I've learned so much about the game itself being behind that screen and about my players, but most importantly I learned I don't have to be perfect. Which, for me is really hard. I want everything planned out before hand and that's just not possible.
There are still many things I would like to improve for myself and I have so many ideas about what I want to do in the future. I can't wait to get started!

Tasknok has found a group of adventures in his lair. Foolish little things they are. Bonus pic of Tashnok with one of my players Spirtiual Weapon. 😂

So hard to get a good picture of this guy. It's not the best, but I'm happy with the outcome. I want to do the base for this mini, but it doesn't look like I'll have time before tomorrow so this will have to do for now.

After I primed the dragon I should have done a black base coat underneath, but I just went straight for it and my colors are super bright. I was able to darker them up some and my end result I'm happy with so 🤷🏼♀️ final result pics to come!
