This is more of a side note but apparently the evening and morning stars were originally only for Venus, because he’s the brightest star. But that later changed in the pre-Christian era for both Mercury and Venus to have different names depending on where in the night sky they were.

So In the morning Mercury was called Apollo and Hermes in the evening

While Venus was called Phosphorus in when it shined in the morning and Hesperus in the evening.

just a heads up to my fellow writers out there that AO3 is currently fighting off bots commenting on people’s works to tell them that AO3 will delete their fics “due to the works being deprecated”, and the deletion will affect their accounts unless the authors delete the fics themselves first. IT IS A SCAM. AO3 will NOT delete your works. please do NOT fall for these bots!

I’ve been told the reason why these bots are doing this is due to copyright infringement issue where they’re trying to steal your works (possibly to train AI but this is just a guess) ‼️‼️‼️and once you deleted your fics, it will be either very difficult or impossible for you to claim ownership of your own fics when they were already deleted.‼️‼️‼️

There is so much aid at the border right now that aren’t being allowed in beside nine trucks… NINE TRUCKS FOR A COUNTRY OF OVER TWO MILLION PEOPLE!

A few of those trucks were just shrouds for there dead. Not food, not water, a fucking cloth to cover the dead.

That would honestly make a lot of sense with how planets treat moons though out the series, with most being straight up ignored or actively degrading them as being little more than accessories. (Like how Uranus was so fast to joke destroying them to get bigger rings IN FRONT OF THEM!)

He never even thought about how it would feel hearing that from their own planet and then needed Neptune to explain it too him.

I wonder if Neptune never leaned these beliefs due to being so isolated from the others, in ‘The First Planets Part One’ we learned his been isolated basically since his creation.

Meaning he never saw his moons as lesser and they never believed they were, beside possibly Triton who wanted to be a dwarf planet rather than a moon, but it could also because that life was stripped away from him and he didn’t feel like he fit in with the other moons.

I think this could also be the case for Earth but with different results as he was raised around other planets. We know Luna had a name beside ‘Earth’a Moon’ but wasn’t called it, since he tried to tell people but was constantly interrupted and that Earth already knew it as seen during the Moon Revolution. Earth could have learned from the others after the collision, his already seen learning stuff from them like when planets collided so what if he learnt this too?

Adding onto this we only seen Luna being referred to as Earth’s Moon up until Earth started calling him by his real name, Luna, it took a planet to change anything!

With how Luna is as a character, I highly doubt he didn’t try correcting them at first, until it became futile to keep trying (besides with new people)

He wasn’t his own person rather than an extension of Earth, he was just ‘Earth’s Moon’ and was treated as such, but maybe if he had an atmosphere or was more planet like in other ways this won’t be the case, he could be treated as one of the gang! A rocky planet and could join in on their games!

So I would say it’s differently possible it’s the same for Moons as well, hell Venus even insulted Mercury about being a moon due to his size, there’s clearly a perception of moons already in place and it isn’t a good one…

(To be fair if Mercury is already treated as less than due to being the smallest, how would he be treated if he was actually a moon?)

But I have to agree with them wanting to be more planet like, especially with how Titan is treated compared to the other Moons of Saturn:/

maybe the reason why luna would kill for an atmosphere, or why phobos and deimos want to get bigger, or why ganymede brags about his size is because they want to look more like planets.

my theory for why titan is saturn’s favorite moon is because titan passes for a planet. he has an atmosphere, and he’s the size of a planet. he’s put on a pedestal above other moons, but still below planets.

I was recently told AO3 is currently being plagued by bots that comment on people’s works and falsely claim their fics were AI generated. and I can see how vile and discouraging hearing that is for authors who put so much time, effort and dedication into creating their fics.

now listen to me, if you ever get a comment like this on your work, please please please please know that they’re most definitely bot who comments the same thing on dozens of people’s works at random without ever reading the works. at all. they just copy and paste the same script onto random fics, any fic they come across.

they’re bots with malicious intentions, and they most certainly want you to lose motivation and/or delete your works. DON’T GIVE THEM WHAT THEY WANT.

if you ever get a comment like this, just delete the comment and/or report it to AO3.

remember that their comments don’t mean your works look “AI generated”. it only means these bots come across your fic and leave the same copy and pasted comment on it like they do to other writers.

don’t let them make you question yourself. they’re nothing but spam bots. YOU are a writer and you are fucking awesome.

One of the worst parts of trying to research information on ANYTHING planet related is having to deal with the bullshit contrasting information every website seems to have!

Oh you want to know how fair the Moon is from Earth?

Ha! Good luck because there’s two different versions on the NASA website! You know the space research company that is founded by the government! And should have accurate information above all else?!

Yeah, no, on to different pages about the Moon they said he not only is 400,00 kilometres from the Earth but also 385,000 too! And don’t forget about a different website that claims to get their information from NASA saying it’s actually 384,400!

Yes I know two of them are somewhat but that’s beside the point! They shouldn’t have two different answers! And don’t say

“oh but what if it’s a different point of the Moon’s rotation?”

Or I swear to god I will tumble someone into the fucking sun.

If that was the case, WHY NOT FUCKING SAY THAT INSTEAD!? Why have two different answers!? Let me remind you they are a Governmental company! They shouldn’t have wrong answers on their website!

They are even the cause of miss information! You know how?! From not updating it!

You know that dwarf planet with Saturn size rings? Not actually real, at lest not with those rings! NASA says it’s was a dwarf planet that happened to part by the telescope and the light missed with the photo.

AND THEY HAVE KNOW THIS FOR A WHILE NOW AND HAVEN’T UPDATED THEIR FUCKING PAGE!!

This just means people are turning to other places to get their information instead of NASA because how can they trust it?! It’s helping spread miss information and letting content farms on YouTube flourish!

I just want to have fun and look up cool theories or fact to share and have to swim through a loud of shit just to figure out if the information is true or not, and the worst part is I can’t even trust a government website to tell me the truth because they can’t be bothered to update their own fucking website for once!

I’m sorry for the rant, I’ve decided to compile information about all the planets from both the past and now in one word doc and I’m not having a fun anymore.

If this is what I’m dealing with for the Moon then what about Theia and other the radical planets??

Hello everyone! (Links in the comments, since I want this to reach more people!!)

I recently found out that 6 days ago, between 1 and 63,200,000 works on A03have been stolen to train AI.

These have been used on a site called HuggingFace and later a few others that haven’t been named as of yet.

And while A03 managed to temporarily disable the uses of these works for AI, please be careful when uploading stories online, it is becoming even easier for companies to steal from us, with little to no consequences as the law hasn’t caught up to were it need to be as of now.

If you want to be a bit more careful, some are saying you can set your fics as registered users only, so only people with an account can view it, but I am not sure how well this will work, since it was someone with an account that stole off A03

Anyways please share this if you can! I don’t use Reddit so I was completely in the dark until now and I’m sure others are in the same boat!

You don’t even need to reblog this, just reach out to your mutuals or other fanfic writers to make sure they are aware of what’s happening❤️
