For those interested the spider is a green-fanged tube web spider, they're big and scary-looking but a bite can't actually kill you. I imagine for something the size of a smurf it would be a little more dangerous though XP

I was gonna do a background but then I realised I. have no idea how to do backgrounds I've never done them digitally before

Yet another OC :D

If it isn't clear yet, all these characters are representing different hardships that real life animals can face in challenges to their survival, and how this might translate when they suddenly become a sapient creature :3

As for Mali, not only was she taken from her natural habitat in N America, but put under stress being handled by humans and then forced to find her way in an unfamiliar land. Surviving the first few months, okay that's one thing, but now she's in season and is the only one of her species around. She has this underlying fear about never finding a mate and dying lonely... luckily, living with the smurfs is taking her mind off it and opening her up to the joys of dancing and music!

Just got a call from the neighbor that someone from CPS left their card and asked me to call them back. I had to call and inform them that we had moved down the street the day we moved in. So i can almost guarantee that there's gonna be a visit coming. However I'm still stuck at the hospital and I do not have nearly enough food to be okay for the visit. I still need to raise that last $100 for more groceries and the $50-$60 for an uber. I can't lose the boys. I've got an interview on Tuesday morning, if I get that job, I can pay back the following week (weekly pay) (pic is of uber and baby R with a friend he made at the park)

Update: Her ex is taking us to court citing that Ash is not capable of caring for them and that they shouldn't be in my care since he's their father. If he gets the kids, they're gonna end up hurt. I got some quotes and the cheapest lawyer has a deposit of $1600. I haven't been hired yet so ofc I can't afford that. The attorney's court provide, don't give a shir I also still need to get home and get some more food for them. please i'm begging, if you see this post to share. I know he's gonna use the fact that she's trans in court, so any help is truly appreciated.

Being leucistic he's had to work twice as hard to survive in the wild - rejected by his mother, ignored by potential mates, doubly visible to prey and a prize for poachers - so he's super defensive and mistrusting of everyone. Jokey you can shove that box up your sm*rf he can smell the gunpowder from a mile away

This is Isabella! She and a few other animals were magically transformed into smurfs by Gargamel in order to Create an Evil Smurf Army Quick, and he did it except they're not evil they're just animals. Guess they're living with the smurfs now until they find a way to change them back !

I have half a chapter on this non-existant fanfic and it will probably never be more than that

She was a farm duck who escaped along with four others, she was the baby of the bunch and survived due to their protection, but when they were all picked off by foxes she was forced to make do on her own. Behind that cheerful smile is someone who really misses her family, and who has a much harsher outlook on life than you would expect. Although she acts carefree, she is actually very intelligent and learnt quickly about the dangers of the wild.

The 'body of a male smurf' thing is because in birds the female is the heterogametic sex (ZW like males are XY in mammals) so the spell got confused when it changed her. There is pretty much no reason for this except 13-yr-old me learnt a cool fact and wanted to implement it somehow lmao. also trans rights
