The twins are basically carbon copies of their papa haha. I also gave Leo glasses there cause I hc that splinter has ass eyesight, so these two got that from him lol. But leo would probably wear contacts if anything

Here I used splinters hair when he first mutated for donnies human form. This isn't my best work :(

the first time donnie brings you back from death, everything feels the same. his hands are cool and soothing, seeking imperfections and finding none. a new scar is all that whispers a soft secret tale. puckered skin in an impossible place for someone still standing.

“i fixed it,” he says, fingers streaming along muscle and sinew and bone. it’s a caress, you think. it feels like one. “now don’t do that again.”

“okay,” you respond, but it sounds more like you know i will to your own ears. you'd claw your way to the sun if it kept him from harm, after all.

the second time donnie brings you back from death, the sound of his voice tastes purple. you reach and touch a star by his eyes, and he stares and stares and stares. what he sees, you don’t know. it feels like a song, though.

“i fixed it,” he says. it echoes like a cry. serrated. spoken behind clenched teeth. “don’t do it again.”

“okay,” you respond. you both know this time that it’s a lie.

the third time donnie brings you back from death, the world shimmers and fades to gold. it’s cold, everywhere, and tastes of glimmering steel. the darkness on the edge of your vision has teeth. you wonder how long it will be before it bites. if you'll lean in or pull away.

donnie’s eyes flash. his mouth hovers over yours, and his whisper reeks of madness, spicy, hot, arching your spine to seek it further. 

“i fixed it,” he pants, claws sinking into skin that beads and trails.

you wait, wait for the performance, for your line, the lie, the pretty string-guided role that you have become so so good at playing.

it does not come.

“…do it again,” donnie hisses, glee and something ichor-sweet writhing in his plea.

nothing inside exists to beat. you smile a twisted little thing anyway. “okay.”
