im begging to staff to please implement a rule that doesn’t let festival skin winners be able to participate in the festival right after the one they’ve won. there is absolutely no way in hell that there are so many fantastic submissions and honorable mentions but they keep choosing the same users over and over again.

i’ve been sending bait and troll posts to smr for the last year and most, if not all of them, are treated genuinely by the mods and people even find them funny. i was the “do you think this is bunny” guy and the one who sent a post about making a breaking bad bogsneak. recently i sent the post about gaolers being of the homosexual persuasion 🤌 (no limp wrist emoji so this will have to do)
I noticed on drama rising some people tried copying my delicious bait recipe and its made me slow my roll. i just enjoyed making people laugh at the absurdity of my posts. writing lies on the internet is a pretty fun creative writing exercise i highly recommend it.
still mad the do you think this is bunny post got deleted. it was bunny.

I hate this trend where little whiny brats will equate shit that happens on a browser game to morals and bootlicking and whatnot. You can always tell that the brainrot runs deep in them. Yeah alright whatever, it's a moral failing to flip things on the AH and scalp the marketplace on a game about pixel dragons, and supporting its staff in any way shape or form is bootlicking, got it. Also you're a cop if you report cheaters and a purist if you even dare admit to thinking cheaters deserve bans (on a pixel dragon game) (those are takes I have seen made by real people, so no I'm not making this shit up)
You would think that people on the other side of the argument would have equally bad takes but so far I've surprisingly yet to see someone say some shit like "cheating is bad because it's a moral failing". And I'm active AF in this community.
This is basically "anon discovering that people who use irrelevant buzzwords to make themselves sound more correct about a browser pet game issue are generally assholes" but I just had to get this out. Anyway if you're the type to use those words on FR salt blogs, stop maybe?

I'm one of those people who sometimes submits random bullshit to smr just to see how the readers will react. Not blatant bait, mind you. More so regular takes/opinions I don't necessarily hold, or made up scenarios, nothing outrageous with the sole intention to rile people up. I'm simply curious to see what kind of topic might end up taking off alright! It's almost like a fun little writing exercise for me! But sometimes when an ask I wrote comes through, I just read it and, knowing it's fake, I honestly wonder if I'm just an idiot and wasting everyone's time. Not that I'll stop.

yes UMA flippers are absolutely terrible. I honestly wish flipping haters would channel that energy towards UMA flipping more. Idk how anyone in their right mind can tell a marketplace scalper to burn when UMA flipping is Right There

I honestly agree about flipping. It's kind of lame when someone buys out the whole stock of a new item to flip, but it isn't remotely the same as scamming someone. If flipping was banned or unprofitable, it would actually be harder for impatient players to get their items. We would all be at the mercy of random MP stock, and that would be excruciating. That said, I think it's a little different when it comes to flipping UMAs... (1/2)
(2/2) UMA flippers take up slots from artists' skin shops, which makes it harder for other players to get those skins. UMAs are not infinitely generated items the way that MP items are. Many are retired after just a few weeks. And it just rubs me the wrong way to make money off of someone else's artwork. It's not the end of the universe or anything, and at the end of the day the artist /was/ paid for the skin. But I can understand blocking known UMA flippers from ordering slots.

(long rant incoming)
Maybe it's stupid that I even care about it and just because it's a different blog doesn't mean people will suddenly agree with me, but over on smr (and just on fr in general tbh) the hate towards dragon and item flipping is so........disheartening. I hate that it's treated as a bad, not-valid playstyle, even though if that was the case, staff would discourage it more. I hate that I feel like I even have to clarify that, obviously, I mean good faith flipping, I'm not defending people who scam newbies for dragons to flip or whatever. I hate that most people seem to just paint good faith and bad faith flipping with the same brush and call it a day.
Anyway I get it, alright, I get that selling a dragon and seeing it flipped instead of going to a "loving home" is perhaps a bummer if you weren't expecting it, but that's where it should end!! Not your dragon anymore, time to move on! But nah, it's treated as a perfectly legit basis to block that person and complain on a salt blog about them. Like how about instead you consider that if you still care so much about that dragon, why did you sell it? Why is it any of your business at all that the new owner is trying to make some profit off of it? You got the money you asked for, if you feel like you should have asked for more, ask for more next time. It's really not very haha funny or original anymore to go to a salt blog to be all like "lol good luck selling that dragon at that price looool" about it. Don't sell if you're not happy with the dragon's potential fate. And don't tell me that you don't really care; if you didn't care, you wouldn't waste time posting about it on a salt blog.
And flipping items, especially MP items, is also considered such a crime. And yeah it's annoying to have to pay more for an item if you want it right away because MP is not stocking it, of course it is. But it's treated like some kind of moral failing for the flippers, and often compared to irl scalping! It's treated like staff never intended for MP flipping to be a thing and that the flippers are a genuinely bad, anomalous group of players who need to be chased out. It's treated like MP items sold on the AH with marked up prices actually belong rightfully to the players who "need" them right at this moment, for their precious uwu projects, and that flippers are evil for daring to try and make fake money off of that "need". They're being blamed when the limited, random stock in MP is the real problem, but I guess it's easier to point fingers when the target is a person. I swear someone on smr even said something about MP flippers needing to burn or something equally bad, and then tried to double down when told that it was too far. Like how can they believe they're "better" than the flippers they hate so much?
And honestly, respect to flippers, I rarely see them complaining about the backlash they get from butthurt users. Compared to the amount of crying from people who hate flippers, the flippers themselves almost never say anything and continue on doing what they do. I guess it takes a strong ass mind to use flipping as a source of income, because if you're easily affected by people getting mad at you, you wouldn't last long. Like me lmao. I'm sure many of you who hate flipping are thrilled to hear that I tried for a while, but stopped because of the way I was treated over it. :/
Genuinely it feels like everyone can happily agree that "if an item or dragon isn't on your account, and it wasn't stolen from you through some bad faith method, then you don't get to decide what happens to it", until flipping becomes a topic. Then suddenly it's okay to get mad over pixels that aren't yours. The dragon you sold isn't yours. The item that someone bought from the MP to resell on the AH isn't yours and never was. "Speaking out" against flipping is just thinly veiled entitlement. And yet, saying that is like talking to a brick wall and probably forever will be like that. Well. At least I got to shout at a brick wall about it for a bit

commenters on smr really do just be like: *makes fun of someone's triggers and phobias* *makes fun of someone's triggers and phobias* *makes fun of someone's triggers and phobias* *makes fun of someone's triggers a
people on that blog are often also blatantly ableist, I had to take a break from it for a while because there was fucking syscourse and fake claiming happening on that blog a while back
(i was actually considering making my own salt blog that had more moderation on that kind of shit, but hearing about this blog and seeing that you have a policy where you'll actually block people who go too far gives me hope that i wont have to do that)

Nooo don't let this blog perish. Anyway rant incoming.
I came here to say that the aeq tone policing crowd is so fucking annoying, they really need to shut the hell up. Explain to me why that cannibalism topic was somehow so special and how aeq is somehow so bad for shutting it down in the manner that she did. What, you expect her to come in acting all submissive and tentative, kissing the ground the OP walks on while politely and cutesily reminding them that maybe they should not talk about fucking cannibalism on this webbed site?? Geez. Why are some people so goddamn sensitive when it comes to the way a mod talks to someone who isn't even them. And why defend a cannibalism topic? Why do you want to talk about it on a cute dragon site so bad in the first place??

I've seen several people criticizing mod SS's 'tone' in their message to BF but there is nothing wrong with it? it's the same factual/professional tone they always use. do y'all really have to be coddled and babied in order to not consider something "cold"/"rude"/etc??? how would these people survive reading a single work email🤦

“All you need to know about this thing you asked about is that it’s stupid” is a pretty dumb response to a question about what the story is with something, no offense. I’d rather read the document myself than allow strangers to tell me how to feel about what it contains, especially when I’m seeing contradicting claims.

The stuff left out was the constant trampling of boundaries via traumadumping while complaining about others traumadumping. We aint gonna include those in the document because it would be absolutely horrible to include. But hey, if the document was made just to be assholes it would be there. The thing is, that stuff shouldn’t be shared and no one should want to read it either. I only brought it up to say that no, it isn’t every minor infraction on the document. Plenty of things were excluded. It was just things people thought might be relevant amd they were all thrown at D who had no idea how to make a proper “callout”

As someone that knew P from Shadow before whatever the hell happened with the call-out document, my big takeaway here is that P is still a dick (I've had him blocked for a long time) and D made some... interesting choices with making a whole call-out doc about it. I blocked P for a reason, but Jesus Christ, sometimes people just suck to be around and there's no giant problematic thing they've done. As far as I know, that's the case for P, so if you haven't looked at the doc yet, all you need to know is one person is shitty to be around and another person made that a 40+ page problem.
