- Ronan and Adam whispering sweet nothings to each other in Latin - Adam memorizing every capering line of Ronan’s tattoo until he can trace it with his eyes closed - Ronan counting the freckles on Adam’s face and his breaths per minute in his sleep because there are still nights Ronan can’t fall asleep because he can’t believe that he’s here and that this is real and that Adam Parrish is actually here, a touch away, on the bed right besides him because sometimes he still has trouble segregating his dreams from reality - Adam realizing this and only pretending to sleep before gently wrapping an arm around Ronan’s neck and pulling him to him so that they’re chin to chin - Ronan finding it hard to breathe and cursing himself for being so fucking mushy, his stomach hurts but in the best way, his knees weaken - and Adam’s lost in the blue oblivion of Ronan’s winter-knit eyes and his heart’s beating inhumanly fast because he’s reminded that he’s never had anyone look at him like that, like he matters, like he exists, like maybe being Adam Parrish is enough, that he’s not a curse of nature after all, that he’s not a mistake or an accident - not when a boy so real was holding onto him like the only light in a sea of darkness. that his father was wrong, that his father was wrong.  - Ronan’s thinking, even I couldn’t dream up a boy this beautiful. - Ronan wants to worship Adam’s hands, and Adam places kisses in the dips of Ronan’s collarbones like they’re pooling gold and he wants his share of it - “It’s real,” Adam breathes, but there’s an unspoken question mark after the phrase, he needs this, he needs the confirmation just as much as Ronan does and maybe even more because he’d been starving all his life. - “It’s real,” Ronan whispered, his lips ghosting against Adam’s, “it’s real it’s real it’s real”  - They kiss and it feels like the end of the world and the beginning of time in the space of a single breath - They kiss and Adam Parrish is the sky and Ronan Lynch is the stars - They kiss and for once for once the world doesn’t sink them they’re floating - RONAN & ADAM!!1!!!1!!
