Did I just follow you and you're wondering why? I have a fandom-esque side blog at iasconsumesmedia. If you don't care about sims, you should probably follow that one instead. If you're the type to follow back of course.

I take it as a compliment to my skill, that I could take someone you don't like, and make you enjoy it. I also mean this as a compliment if I ever tell people this.
fan creators, if you put a lot of love and care into creating a piece of content for your favorite character, and you got a comment on it saying "i HATE this character, but i love this [content] you made!", how would you feel? (note: assume this is not the only comment you've gotten.)
i've been in this situation, and i felt positively
i've been in this situation, and i felt neutral
i've been in this situation, and i felt negatively
i haven't been in this situation, but i think i'd feel positively

i’m going to hold your hands when i say this and i am only going to be kind about it once: ai does not belong in fandom spaces, ever. not in writing, not in art, not in video, not at all. it does not matter how bad you want to see your favourite characters kiss, or how much you need a bit of help finishing a chapter, or whatever.
make friends with artists. commission somebody. learn to draw yourself. ask for a beta read. try a writing partnership. fandom spaces are communities, so engage with them! it is about the journey and the fact that we all love something enough to create and build together about that thing.
spending 30 seconds to kill a tree and get an AI to push out some soulless empty piece of “content” is antithetical to the entire point of being engaged with fandom, and if you’ve taken to doing this you should really reconsider if you belong in these spaces with the rest of us.
#goes for the sims 2 stuff too like “art work” inspired by your stories.#I unfollow everyone I see use AI for anything creative and most other things

Fandom size and engagement is a factor for investment. If the fandom became stale and quiet, no one would invest in it anymore.
Actually good fantasy novels about magic schools:
The Wizard of Earth Sea by Ursula K. Leguin (the legend)
The Scholomance series by Naomi Novik (one of the founders of Ao3).

My peace lily requires water exactly twice as often as most of my other plants, which are all rainforest or rainforest adjacent plants. It's sooo useful "Oh you're thirsty? Did I water you other guys last time this one was thirsty? No? I guess you can all have a sip then."
My mom forgot to hire someone to water the plants while she’s gone and she asked me to do it instead and I’m happy to but also I’m like “mom... mom I killed garlic sprouts, the EASIEST thing to grow?! What are you DOING?! It’s not that I forget to water them or don’t follow the directions or anything I’m just good at killing plants. I was born unto death and so death I wreak.
Okay so this ask has almost nothing to do with my blog but I have FEELINGS about those poor plants and maybe you remembered those like two times I flashed pictures of my own so DON'T KILL THOSE INNOCENT CHILDREN, here have some plant life advice:
For like 95% of common plants, leave them the fuck alone until their soil is completely dry to the touch. Then water just enough to make a little bit of water come out the bottom of the pot. Resume leaving them the fuck alone. In my climate, this process takes a little under two weeks. An over-watered plant can quickly succumb to root rot, which can easily be fatal. An under-watered plant generally loses a few leaves but can be fairly easily brought back to health.
Do yourself a favor: this Mother's Day, give your mother the gift of a Drama Plant. Drama Plants are well known for looking ridiculous when they need water. Like in the space of an hour they go from perfectly healthy to a puddle of sadness and despair, but they recover just as quickly once they are watered, because they were just Being Drama. The beautiful thing is they need exactly as much water as that other 95% of plants, so when your Drama Plant fake-swoons its leaves, you know it's time to water everyone else too.
Peace lilies and crotons are both excellent Drama Plants. Peace lilies have the benefit of being great air filters and generally pleasant to look at, crotons have the benefit of being beauty queens. Get your mom one of these, she'll think it's sweet you're enabling her hobby, whereas you'll be sitting there going "yes, my spy has been accepted into her household, my master plan of Knowing When To Water can begin..."
Special Mention: Desert plants. If it's a cactus or an aloe, don't water it while plant-sitting unless the owner is gone for months. They are DESERT plants. They are adept at retaining water in their leaves from the infrequent rain fall of their ancestral homes. If they're not visibly turning into wilted prunes, they're fine.
Now go forth and DON'T KILL THOSE PLANTS.

Friends, I want you all to know that I have successfully rid myself of word and excel on my computer. It was such a relief to see them be deleted off this system.
Left:
a good replacement to Onedrive that will sync images with my phone.
Linux.
A good solution for beta reading comments on documents made on Open Office.
Suggestions that do NOT involve other mega corporations are welcome. I'm not trading the plague for cholera.

Like, I'm not going to pretend that I'm not disappointed that the hype didn't hold and we ended up 4th and didn't even win the televote.
But that was some scary ten minutes and I DID like Austria's song a lot, and anyone can go back and see that I loved this song in March.
So, this was better than the worst case scenario.

KAJ - Bara Bada Bastu | Sweden 🇸🇪 | Official Music Video | #Eurovision2025
This is the night! We’re the top of the odds and things are looking good, but let’s be honest: everything and anything can and do happen at Eurovision Song Contest
Honorable mention to two of my other favourites that I’d be happy if they won because art should be rewarded:
Albania - Zjerm: https://youtu.be/cwVL1dbjqj4?si=BFS1sMpLCNnqexnh
And Latvia - Bur Man Laimi: https://youtu.be/RKw0OCgPV3s?si=TyB4eEHvCdRAv8CQ

And for anyone who followed me in the past two days: I'm usually a very normal, albeit frequently angry person, and I don't usually post stuff you're interested in, sorry.

Yeah no, I'm not as impressed as I thought I would be.
She's got the vocals down though so I don't think this will do badly. It's just not a song that appeals to me.

That is some intense eye contact he's got going on with the backup dancer.
If the audience is in the mood for a ballad, this might qualify, but I don't have high hopes for it.
It's lovely for what it is though.
