Nezha x Female!Reader who’s also a deity associated with music and flowers (specifically irises)?
Could be a rivalry turned to good friends to lovers
Or acquaintances to lovers?
Pick a Flower~!
Nezha x Flower Deity!Reader (fem version)
Created by: Starbeam (Owner 1)
Type of content: Headcanons
Pov: Second
Word count: 433 (approximately)
TW: erm not beta read at all...boob mention btw but it's not sexual
A/N: Gonna do the male version sometime, or just make the g/n one a little later. It's only going to be a few tweaks here to there, nothing too wild and different. Maybe I won't, idk, I feel exhausted haha. And the two are acquaintances
REBLOGS ARE APPRECIATED
Right, so from the start he's known about you. Of course, Nezha knows about most, if not all of the deities within the Celestial Realm, and you were no exception. To be honest, the two of you only have some interactions, just a simple 'hello' and 'how's your duties coming along?' you know, just simple talk.
Now, don't assume he doesn't like you, he actually thinks you're pretty interesting. While he protects that map to the Samadhi Fire, you play your music and melodies. Sometimes during his off-days (which are HORRIBLY) rare, he likes to sit down in the gardens you've made and listen to one of your performances.
Eventually the two of you get attached to each other and become the topic of some gossip with the other deities and officials...not like you guys care much. Blah, blah, blah, you two confess your feelings, everyone's happy, ect.
Now time for the actual headcanons!
He's very gentle with you, oftentimes giving you massages like the charming little Lotus Prince he is, especially since your fingers become sore after practicing with your instruments a little too much...
Of course he adores your playing! Why wouldn't he? It's common knowledge that you're a master at music, and he's a gentleman at heart. Like- did you really think that Nezha wouldn't be concerned whenever you talk about how your fingers hurt from playing? He's pretty damn observant when he wants to be, that's a guarantee.
High chance he went to your place after he got beat up by Wukong, complained about the guy when he was getting patched up. His ass is NOT going to simply...head immediately over to where that damned primate was. (he would've done it if he wasn't bruised as hell)
Sometimes he gives you gifts, especially on days that seem important to you (do deities remember their birthdays??), like one time he gave you a golden bangle with lotus and iris carving into it. He loves it when you wear them and you cannot change my mind-
He can get sleep-deprived a lot, and when he's really tired he likes to rest his head on your boobs. Calls them 'pillows fit for a god'...he also likes to rest his head on your lap, absolutely loves it when you comb through his hair, high chance he'll be out like a light.
Sometimes you ask (force) him to come down to the mortal realm with you for fun. You guys went to a museum once and Nezha got a bit sour after noticing one of the statues got his nose wrong or something lmao-

Also we just like writing our favs.
And if there was something else you were talking about then idk 🧍

A Cursed Taunt (pt. 2)
Ink!Peng x Ex-Brotherhood!Reader
Created by: Starlight (Owner 2)
Type of content: Oneshot
Pov: Second
Word count: 1553 (approximately)
TW: Theres gaslighting???? (Maybe??) Ink Peng is a bitch, not beta read, I feel absolutely tired but I want to do this because I feel guilty for not finishing this earlier...btw you almost DIE haha (you gotta be lucky Tang was there)
A/N: Guys I am SO sorry that it's been so long, I swear...I plan to write more when I get the chance, but school seems to have a tendency to place a hit on my creative mind and strike it down from its position at the top of my head and at the bottom of my heart. Btw this also takes part BEFORE Peng and Yellowtusk get out of the scroll. Before Tang finds out that Azure is bad and whatnot, y'know?
REBLOGS ARE APPRECIATED

Even though you and the rest of the gang had managed to escape the ink demons before, you were separated once again, each of you thrown into different moments in these cursed scrolls of memory. You found yourself on Flower Fruit Mountain, a place that felt too familiar. This was the day you and the Brotherhood had gathered to discuss overthrowing the Jade Emperor, a day that had been etched into your mind forever. You had your doubts back then, but you kept them buried, fearing the judgment of those around you.
Peng, your closest friend, had been especially eager that day, their voice loud with conviction. "Azure Lion would be perfect on the throne," they had said, without a hint of hesitation. Their fervor had inspired the others, making the plan feel inevitable, but deep down, you had questioned if this was the right path. Still, you stayed silent, watching as the momentum built around their idea.
You didn’t like this memory much. It felt disorienting to be back in a place you knew wasn’t real. The fruit on the table was an illusion, the laughter and arguments of your former Brothers were mere phantoms, and Peng’s mischievous glances—those glances you’d yearned for throughout centuries of separation—were nothing more than a trick of the scroll.
...it simply was not real. This was just the scroll's doing. It was just something the scroll as doing. The protective curse would be there eventually. the protective curs-
"Y/N!! You're stuck in your thoughts again, wake up!" the familiar voice of Peng was heard, exasperatedly shaking your thoughts back down to the world.
You turned to face them, and you huffed. "Can't I just think for a second?"
Peng, ever the mischief-maker, simply giggled at your exasperation. They nudged you playfully with a grin, their eyes sparkling with amusement as they took another sip from their goblet of wine. "But where's the fun in that?" they teased, leaning closer. "Lighten up, will you? Don’t be such a sorry little rodent like Macaque over here!" They gestured toward Macaque with a mock-serious expression, clearly enjoying their own joke.
You took a second to glance at Macaque, who was shyly sitting next to the past version of Wukong. A scoff escaped your lips. "Don't make fun of him, you feathered oaf."
"Ah, very well then," Peng said with a mischievous glint in their eye. "I have an idea, little bug! How about we take a little time off from this gathering and head up to the mountain peaks? It'll certainly get rowdy soon, and I'd much rather keep my feathers intact." They snickered, glancing back at the chaotic scene unfolding at the table.
The scene was a perfect storm of pettiness and disorder. Wukong was in a heated argument with the Demon Bull King over the potency of their alcohol, while Macaque, though visibly irritated, remained in his seat, trying to ignore the ruckus. Azure Lion was literally dragging Wukong away from the Bull King, as if dealing with a feral cat. As for Yellowtusk, he was nowhere to be seen, and given the state of things, you couldn’t help but think he had made the right choice to leave.
"...fine," you muttered, your voice tinged with resignation. You were still grappling with whether this was a memory or an illusion—this Peng wasn’t real, but their presence felt undeniably genuine. Before you could dwell on it further, Peng took your hand with a playful grin and led you up the mountain peak, their fuchsia eyes shimmering with excitement as they glanced back at you.
"Isn't the view wonderful? Soon enough, we'll have the whole Celestial Realm to look down on! Isn't that...fun?"
You nodded silently, your thoughts heavy. After a moment, you mumbled, "Hey, Peng?"
"Yes, dear?" Peng responded, their voice warm and attentive.
"Is it wrong to feel attached to people who probably hate me now? Why do you think I feel that way?" you asked, your voice tinged with uncertainty.
Peng paused, as if considering your question carefully. Then, a mischievous smile spread across their face. "Because you're an idiot," they said simply.
You froze in surprise as Peng’s image began to dissolve, shifting into dark, feathery pieces of ink and energy. The curse of the scroll was catching up to you sooner than expected.
"A foolish, stupid little idiot," a new voice echoed with a sinister tone. "Hello there, little bug. It seems I’ve finally caught you once more."
—
You stared at the ink version of your former friend, then took a second to glance at the scenery. The warm lantern hanging on the nearby tree disappeared, leaving only a teal blue and inky black background. The bird demon scoffed, pointing their Ji at you, manifesting it from some ink splatters on the ground.
"It was such a bore trying to locate you, then that scholar, those demons, and that horse dragon girl...irritating, all of it. Luckily for them, I'm going to take my time on you first."
"Stop confusing me! You're not the real Peng, you're just a curse pretending to be them for some pity! Stop it, damn it!" You had yelled, taking a step back.
The inky bird demon clearly didn’t take kindly to your outburst. They surged toward you with alarming speed, their talons swiping dangerously close to your sides. A sinister cackle escaped them, and their teal-glowing eyes rolled with a mockingly feigned innocence.
"I have no idea what you mean by that," the demon crooned, their voice dripping with false sweetness. "Why would you say something like that? Do you not trust me, Y/N? All we've done together, all that we’ve…" They leaned in closer, their warm breath brushing against your neck—a stark contrast to the chill of their appearance. Peng had never been this warm, and a shiver raced down your spine as they continued, "…experienced together…"
You could feel strange droplets falling onto your shoulders, and despite yourself, you remained frozen in place. Tiny, warm ink droplets trickled from the demon's body, a bizarre reminder of their unsettling proximity. Ink Peng's form leaned even closer, their voice a whisper in your ear.
"Doesn't this feel real to you, little bug?" they taunted, their tone laced with a twisted satisfaction.
You remained silent, the sensation of warm ink enveloping you in its twisted embrace making you shudder. The texture was unsettling, reminiscent of lukewarm oil—slick and unnervingly smooth.
"My, my, so quiet now. How sad," the ink demon tutted, their voice laced with mock sympathy. They nuzzled you with their strange, inky feathers, the touch both alien and intimate, as if trying to draw out a reaction from you.
"Don't… don't pretend to be them," you said, your voice trembling. "You will never be half of my old friend, ever. No matter how many times you look through these memories, you will never compare to—"
You tried to continue, but your breath caught as you felt the blade of the Ji pressing against your throat. The inky metal was almost imperceptibly sharp, just barely piercing your skin. The sting was sharp and immediate, and a tiny droplet of blood began to trickle down from your neck.
"What was that?" the ink demon's voice was tauntingly smooth. "Seems like you're a bit preoccupied with something." Their tone was a cruel mix of amusement and menace, making the situation all the more terrifying.
You gasped as the ink demon applied a bit more pressure to the blade, the sting intensifying as it sliced through your skin. The warmth of your own blood mingled with the cold, inky metal, and for a moment, it seemed as if the end might be near. Your heart raced, and a sharp pain shot through your neck, threatening to suffocate you.
Just as the pain became unbearable, a flash of golden light erupted in the chaos. Tang, the scholar who simply LOVED learning about the legends, appeared out of nowhere with his golden magic staff. His face was pale with fear, but his eyes were locked on you with intense relief. “ACK- hold on, Y/N, I don't know how to work this thing!” he cried out, his voice trembling. The staff emitted a blinding glow as he desperately swung it, catching Ink Peng off guard. In the split second of distraction, Tang’s magic teleported you away from the blade’s edge.
The protective curse around the scroll flared up, irate at the sudden disruption. Ink Peng’s form wavered with irritation as they glared at the spot where you had vanished. Their frustration was palpable, their dark ink swirling with heightened agitation.
—
In the new location within the scroll, Tang's panicked voice broke through the haze. “Y/N, are you okay?! You look hurt, I can find something to help...”
He reached out, his hands trembling as he tried to assess your condition. But you remained unresponsive, your mind still spinning from the encounter. Thoughts of Peng and the near-death experience clouded your thoughts, making it difficult to focus on Tang’s concerned face or his desperate attempts to ensure you were alright.
You just felt...numb, to be honest.

Can you write a Kui Mulang x Sheep Demon!Reader who he thinks is too weak to have any useful power so he just keeps reader in his palace as a personal servant and pillow (because y’know…sheep are soft)

“You want me to be a…pillow?”
Kui Mulang x Sheep Demon!Reader
Created by: Starlight (Owner 2)
Type of content: Oneshot
Pov: Second
Word Count: 1,364
TW: The smallest suggestive undertone if you squint, and nothing else tbh.
A/N: I love sheep and I love demons. Cuddly sheep demon? Perfect. By the way we both decided to take a VERY long and well-needed break (I started to play HSR and I'm in love with Dan Heng)
REBLOGS ARE APPRECIATED

The day you were captured by the Devourer of Earthly Souls marked a profound twist in the fabric of your existence. Was it for the better? Probably not. For the worse? That remained an open question. Indecision clouded your thoughts as you were escorted into his grand throne room. To your astonishment, the Devourer, Kui Mulang, was not the monstrous figure of your nightmares, but rather a being of striking handsomeness. His light lavender hair fell gracefully around a face adorned with the most enchanting violet eyes you had ever beheld. Yet, despite his beauty, it was clear he held no such admiration for you.
Kui Mulang barely spared you a second glance before a dismissive scoff escaped his lips. He instructed his attendants to outfit you in more presentable attire, as though your current state was an affront to his court. It was then you realized he deemed you devoid of any significant power. In fact, he harbored the belief that devouring your soul would weaken him. Such a judgment stung deeply, perhaps even more so because it might hold a grain of truth—you were, after all, merely a sheep demon, often underestimated and overlooked.
—
As you entered his chambers this morning to make his bed, you found him still asleep—a rare occurrence, given his usual vigilance. The soft click-clack of your hooves resonated through the quiet room. Swathed in an unusually large number of pillows and blankets, his face showed signs of fatigue, with dark circles under his eyes. Hesitantly, you reached out to rouse him.
To your astonishment, he responded with a soft whine, his voice plaintive and endearing.
“Too tired... don't wake me...”
“…but you must, sir.”
Upon hearing your insistent reminder that he unfortunately had to wake up, his wolf ears perked up with a sudden alertness. Though you knew he could transform into a massive wolf—hence the wolf-themed headdresses of his guards—you had never realized he could selectively manifest those attributes. This revelation was startling, yet you had little time to ponder it as he tried to force his eyes open, blinking away the stubborn remnants of sleep. His efforts were in vain, and he let out another small, exasperated groan.
“Oh, it’s you…the little lamb,” he muttered, his voice tinged with weary resignation. Without warning, he reached out, his grip surprisingly gentle but firm, and pulled you into the bed beside him. The action elicited a soft, startled mumble from you.
“I—sir? What do you plan to do?” you stammered, your voice betraying your surprise and flustered state.
Kui Mulang's gaze lingered on you for a fleeting moment before he drew you in, pressing you closely against his body with an embrace that felt oddly comforting, as though you were a cherished pillow he sought solace in.
“Hush. I have no filthy intentions. Just...” His voice trailed off into a tired murmur as he nestled into the wool of your hair. “...stay as a pillow and quiet down.”
The unexpected request left you momentarily flustered.
“You want me to be a pillow...?” you managed to utter, your cheeks warming with nervous embarrassment as you glanced up at the wolf demon.
However, despite your initial unease, you sighed and allowed him to draw you nearer. The relief that he harbored no untoward intentions with you was palpable. Yet, as he nestled closer, your thoughts raced. Why was he so close? Did he not recognize your role, your identity? Was weariness truly enough to blur those distinctions?
You lost track of time as he drifted back into slumber, his arms initially wrapped around your sides before gradually descending to settle gently around your waist. Whenever his hands moved down, the feeling of his warm fingers caressing your sides…almost made you squeal in excitement and nervousness. As he snuggled closer, seeking comfort in your presence, you couldn't help but feel a strange mix of awkwardness and unexpected intimacy in this peculiar situation. Each slight movement you made prompted a soft mumble from him, his response a tightening of his embrace that didn’t help the butterflies fluttering in your stomach.
With a soft sigh, you calmed down, allowing yourself to breathe steady so you wouldn’t become something akin to a giggling schoolgirl. You felt his breath ghosting your shoulder, the way he snuggled his head into your hair like it was the softest thing he could’ve ever felt in his centuries of life, how one of his legs were wrapping around yours… it felt incredible and terrifying at the same time. Remember— this was the man, no, the demon who could’ve stolen and ate your soul like a measly piece of carrot cut up in a soup. Yet he didn’t. You had always assumed that it was due to how weak you were, but right now, you were getting other thoughts as to why he spared you from such a cruel fate. You forced yourself to relax as the thoughts started to make you a little stressed out, before you merely took a breath and decided to snuggle closer to him, making him elicit a pleased yet sleepy hum.
Summoning courage, you stole a glance at his face and were struck by his appearance. His typically neat hair, usually styled in a controlled manner, now tumbled loosely around his face, its texture reminiscent of the soft fur of a wolf pup. His usually stern visage was softened in repose, a rare vulnerability showing through the relaxed lines of his expression. Lips slightly parted, his head nestled against the curve of your neck, he appeared almost innocent and…cute, in some way.
—
You must have dozed off too, only waking when the wolf demon began to stir. Blinking away the last remnants of sleep, you quickly became alert. Kui Mulang glanced at you, then at the tangled position you both were in, and groaned. You followed his gaze, realizing his arms were still wrapped around your waist and his legs snugly entwined with yours. He muttered under his breath, “Was I that drunk that I forgot what happened…?”
His words took you by surprise. Drunk? That seemed unlikely. There was no scent of alcohol, and he hadn't appeared intoxicated, just incredibly tired.
“You were drunk? But you didn’t seem like it… or smell like it,” you said, eyebrows raised in surprise.
“I indulged in a bit too much wine while sneaking around the cellar… and magic can disguise a lot.”
“Oh… but if you’re wondering, we didn’t do anything weird or whatnot,” you mumbled, feeling awkward.
“We didn’t?” he asked, looking both surprised and, for a fleeting moment, almost disappointed. Wait—was that disappointment? The thought made your heart race, and you tried to push it away.
You let out an embarrassed whine, “We did not… you said you didn’t have any intentions like that.”
Kui Mulang groaned and rubbed his head, putting some distance between the two of you. Naturally, you couldn’t protest; serving him was your duty. It wasn’t as if he usually paid much attention to you anyway.
But as you turned to look at him, you felt his hand snake around your waist, pulling you close with a grip that was gentle yet firm. His breath, warm and soft against your skin, was a stark contrast to his usual demeanor. He pressed a kiss to your neck, and the sensation of his teeth nibbling and bruising your skin sent a wave of flustered embarrassment through you. But it wasn’t like he cared.
He soon pulled back, regaining his usual stony, composed expression. “I suppose you aren’t as bad as a pillow. Perhaps I should assign you a bit more work in my chambers…”
His tone carried a hint of innuendo, and you caught the implication, though you were still a blushing mess. Your hand moved gingerly to touch the spot where he’d left a noticeable hickey, the sting of the bruised skin finally registering. You let out a little huff.
“I prefer staying as your personal attendant. Not a personal…” you trailed off and sighed. “Sir, could this be a one-time occurrence?”
“Maybe, maybe not. You’ll have to try and keep me away from the cellar to stop me, dear.”

Azure Lion and Peng oneshot (nothing romantic I saw your rules, just Peng getting some shenanigans and Azure having to put their antics to a rest because they are drunk BEYOND imagination)

Drunken Shenanigans
Azure Lion + Golden-Winged Peng
Created by: Starlight (Owner 2)
Type of content: Oneshot
Pov: Third
Word Count: 703
TW: Peng is drunk as hell, Macaque is still getting bullied even if he’s mentioned, probably super not canon, mentions of insects and bugs like snails and centipedes (not in detail), and certainly not proofread or whatever. This has been stuck in the drafts for two days.
A/N: Drunk Peng makes me giggle. Thank you anon for requesting this lovely thing 💜. Oh by the way me and Starbeam do ship these two, but we don’t plan on writing it because…you know, we made it a rule not to do canon x canon. 🐁
REBLOGS ARE APPRECIATED <3

The evening among the Brotherhood was, in its entirety, filled with merriment and light. Indeed, for a considerable span, the air was filled with raucous laughter; petty disputes arose but were swiftly ended by jokes and jests, and all seemed right and well. Azure Lion busied himself with clearing the plates of the feast while the others went to their respective quarters, the lingering sound of their drunken and goofy clamor trailing softly behind him. Yet, during his tidying, he noticed a certain figure indulging in yet another goblet of wine. It was no surprise to find his feathered companion savoring another amount of wine…
“Peng, old friend, is that not your fifth cup?” he inquired.
The avian demon responded with a dismissive snort, their fuchsia eyes half-lidded in a tipsy gaze. “Ah, dear Azure, don’t worry! It’s just a few drinks; what harm lies in that?”
The Azure Lion sighed and took the cup away from Peng, leaving the bird demon looking pouty. They grumbled and reached out for the drink again, nearly stumbling and falling face-first to the ground. Fortunately, Azure caught them just in time, still holding the goblet out of reach.
“Peng, you’re drunk.”
“What, and you aren’t?”
“I’m much more sober then you, that’s a guarantee.”
The bird demon wanted to glare at Azure, but instead, they snickered and snuggled up to him. With a sneaky and silly expression, they whispered, “Mmm..I was planning on putting snails in Macaque’s bed… but now I want to do it to everyone… especially you, Azure. Should I give you centipedes instead? I’m sure you’d love that...”
Azure Lion let out a soft sigh, placing the goblet on the table before lifting Peng completely off the ground. He looked at the bird demon and held them tightly to prevent any further attempts to reach for the wine. Peng's struggles were half-hearted and lazy, and they quickly gave up, choosing instead to let Azure carry them. “I don't think anyone would appreciate that, my friend,” Azure said gently. “You'd end up with more karma than entertainment.”
“Oh, I hate the fact that you're right...” Peng grumbled irritably, crossing their arms in annoyance. Their feathers ruffled as they glanced back up at Azure. “But you have to admit, it was a hilarious plan, wasn't it?” they added, a mischievous glint returning to their eyes.
“We can agree to disagree on that one.”
“Fine with me. Now hurry up and get me back to my room…you’ll carry me there, won’t you?”
Azure glanced at the plates on the table, considering washing them before dismissing the thought. Right now, there was someone far more entertaining to attend to. With a resigned sigh, he nodded to himself and gently held the intoxicated bird demon in his arms, guiding them towards their room.
As they walked, Peng rambled drunkenly about Macaque being boring and comparing him to a flea, along with other petty grievances about their Brotherhood comrades. Azure had grown adept at tuning out these rants, as such episodes were all too familiar. Finally reaching Peng’s room, he carefully set them down on the bed and sat beside them.
“Yes, yes, all of us are nothing compared to you…” he said with a lighthearted sarcasm, nudging them with a little smile.
“Of course! But…I can certainly tolerate you and Yellowtusk more than the others. I wouldn’t mind being your right hand if you plan to become the Jade Emperor..”
Azure looked at his friend in surprise. “We’re still on that topic? It’s been a while since it’s been brought up..”
Peng hushed him and wrapped their dear friend in a golden wing. “Hush, you know you'd look great on that throne, don't deny it,” they insisted warmly. Azure's gaze softened as he gently ruffled the feathers on Peng's head, drawing them closer with a smile. “Perhaps you're right... and do you need to throw up? That was quite a lot of alcohol,” he added with concern, noticing Peng's state.
“This is nothing compared to the drinking competition I had with that damned Bull King…”
“Peng, don’t bring that up again….the mess was horrible.”
Peng merely shrugged. “Eh, very well then, I’ll spare you the trouble of remembering.”

REBLOGS ARE APPRECIATED

A shaky breath escaped your lips as you clustered with the remainder of the crew. Yet, despite your apprehension, your gaze was drawn to the protective curse, its ink shifting and morphing into myriad fantastical creatures. You observed the pilgrims, their discontent and ire manifesting in heated words, glaring down at you all in disgust. Then, your eyes fell upon the Brotherhood. Yellowtusk, once a formidable demon with a gold heart, now bore a gaze that bespoke a fierce desire to strike you from where you stand. You had abandoned the Brotherhood during the assault on the Jade Emperor. Such a betrayal was unforgivable. You were branded a coward.
Yet, an all too familiar voice caught your attention, making you separated from the group. You stood paralyzed in astonishment as you confronted Peng. The birdlike demon emitted a bitter laugh, their glowing blue eyes fixing you with a malevolent glare. No, you could not succumb to this illusion. It was merely the scroll's curse, merely an ink demon, not...not your friend. You tried to seek out MK, or Mei, or anyone who might aid you. But in the newly revealed clearing, there was no one present save you from Peng...or rather, Ink Peng.
“Ah, if it isn’t the cowardly little y/n, even worse then Macaque. Unlike that pathetic rat, you didn’t even join the battle… were you already adamant on leaving the Brotherhood? On leaving me?”
They swung their ji at you, the blade narrowly missing as you leapt aside. They scoffed, using their talons to pin you down, mocking you with cruel laughter.
“Oh, I’m just quivering in fear by you, all mighty and powerful. You didn’t even feel the need to fight! Do you see yourself as better then us, darling?”
You felt the air constrict in your lungs as the ink demon pinned you down. Their talons, though appearing as liquid ink, felt unnervingly lifelike and sharp. You wished to retort but chose to hold your tongue as you looked up at Peng. The inky bird demon grumbled at your silence, releasing you and striking you with their wing.
“You must’ve really lost your power. So pathetic, I swear…” they had scoffed, poking you lightly with their ji.
You rolled your eyes in irritation, attempting to swat the weapon away, only for it to dissolve into ink and then rematerialize as Peng lunged to strike once more, halting a mere instant before impaling you. They laughed, seizing you by the chin and forcing you to look up at them. “You abandoned us to our fate, never once trying to save or free us. Free me. I believed you considered me your… 'best friend.' Clearly, you do not deserve that title at all, little bug.”
The ink demon version of your old comrade suddenly tightened their grip on your chin, then rested their inky yet feathered head against you, giggling mischievously. Their ji remained pointed directly at you. If they pressed just a little too hard…
“Oh, you don’t plan on fighting back? Hm. I should strike you where you stand, stupid worm, if only you hadn’t left me….”
You looked back with a mix of remorse and anger. You yearned to despise this distorted version of your comrade, to push them away and return to your new friends... but the strange warmth emanating from their inky feathers gave you pause. You allowed them to lean on you, even though you were perilously close to being impaled and killed.
This moment with Ink Peng was abruptly interrupted by a loud yell. You presumed it was Mei, slashing her way into the clearing with a new sword. You stared at her in astonishment, even more so when everyone else rushed toward you. But when you turned back to look at the bird demon... they had vanished, as if the protective curse from the scroll had never been near you at all…

A/N: I’ve played so many pjsk matches that I want to curl up and cry. However, I will write this to ignore everything on my CRK blog (I still love it, just a bit tired). Also decided to read Dead Souls by Nikolai Gogol and loved it. Please read it. Oh, by the way I made the reader be Mei’s cousin.
REBLOGS ARE APPRECIATED

For starters, Mei introduced the two of you sometime after s3 and before s4, stating that of course she would want her favorite cousin to meet the hot-tempered (but overall heroic) mentor she had when she was training to control the Samadhi Fire. Of course, Red Son and you didn’t…well, let’s just say that the two of you didn’t get along. While you were much more cold and indifferent, he was much more vocal on the fact that he did NOT need to be meeting another arrogant dragon…
And both of you thought of the other as a pompous, ignorant snob, that was for sure. Not like you planned to voice your opinion.
Yet, it was Mei that brought the two of you for a day of fun and gaming. Since MK was busy with other things, this was a great opportunity to see how her favorite cousin and one of her best friends would interact!
…she basically decided to put you and Red Son in a gladiator match for gaming. (You both tied and were equally pissed at that fact)
—
For the next few days you were staying at Mei’s house, you unfortunately had to deal with seeing the Bull Prince more. Especially the times when she made you tag along with him. Honestly? You’d much rather stay in bed eating ice instead of going out in the sun and next to someone who literally controls fire. You can handle if Mei’s just there, but when two people with pyrokinesis are by you? Yeah, you felt like turning into a puddle for the most part.
Surprisingly, Red Son was the one who noticed this first, and he actually kept his distance from you for the most part. On a day that was particularly hot, he decided to begrudgingly buy you an ice cream. During this, your cousin was giving you ALL types of teasing looks, basically saying, “I think someone has a crushhhhh…” ;)
You decided to ignore them for the most part, because there was absolutely no way that either of you could ever have a crush on-
He let you lean on him when the three of you were watching a horror movie.
Most of the time, the two of you were just blaming the directors and actors for making everything look stupid instead of scary. Yet…in that moment, you guessed you could tolerate him for the time being. He didn’t seem so hot-tempered after all. Or was he only this way around you?
—
At the end of the sleepover, when Red Son was about to leave, you felt the urge to walk up to him. Of course, he was slightly annoyed and confused, but all that vanished as you pressed a hesitant little kiss against his cheek. He stared at you in complete shock, an immediate blush appearing on his face as he looked away.
You paused. Had you done something wrong? Was he mad? Oh, gods, you knew that it was a bad idea, what if he didn’t lik-
Now it was your turn to blush as he gave you a tiny kiss on the forehead, then he immediately started to walk away awkwardly, clearly flustered and embarrassed. You actually felt…warm, after that. No ice could compare to what the hell just happened here.
Well…guess you were definitely planning to stay at Mei’s place more, weren’t you?

Can I request a oneshot of Kui Mulang x Jade Maiden rencarnate except they're a demon with koi fish attributes (like the same color scheme as the Jade Maiden but with pretty scales and a flowy tail)

Wolf Fangs and Koi Scales
Kui Mulang x Jade Maiden Reincarnate (Koi Fish Demon)
Created by: Starlight, Owner 2.
Type of content: Oneshot
Point of view: Second
Word Count: 1,089
TW: Mentions of murder, small angst (I wasn’t aware that I had added that in), possible ooc (it could be in character, we just haven’t seen how he is around the Jade Maiden. After all, he was basically featured in one episode.)
A/N: Starlight here. Starbeam (Owner 1) put me in charge of this ask. If you notice a different style of writing for both of us, then you’re right. I get most of my writing styles from reading too many classic books. (Please save me) However, I don’t mind getting to be a little silly on my main account. You can definitely see the clear difference between us 😊

Silence. Irritating, lonely silence. It reverberated in the ears of Kui Mulang. In any other moment, the air would have been filled with screams—agonized, desperate cries of those whose souls he devoured, savoring their terror with a cruel smile. Yet now, only the oppressive quiet of the throne room surrounded him. A weary, disenchanted sigh escaped his lips. Perhaps he had grown weary of this existence. Was it truly so difficult to find his lost love once more? Had the relentless march of Time claimed her irrevocably? Was he merely clinging to a mirage of hope? No, he could not succumb to doubt. He had ventured too far down this dark path to consider redemption. He must press on.
Thus far, his guards had failed to present any new captives. No souls? Kui Mulang assumed that the denizens of the region had received the warning and chosen to keep their distance. Resolving to take matters into his own hands, he decided upon a solitary stroll beyond the palace walls. None would object, he reasoned. Moreover, it had been some time since he last ventured forth, and the diversion would serve to occupy his restless spirit.
A thought unfurled within his mind. What if he were to find the reincarnation of his beloved wandering about? A solemn sigh escaped him as he made his way toward the palace exit. It was a wild notion, indeed, but not one beyond the realm of possibility. Though it was a chance in a thousand, he would grasp it. Kui Mulang surveyed the palace’s exterior surroundings and commenced his walk along the dirt road, his gaze fixed solemnly ahead.
Memories of the Jade Maiden surfaced: her radiant smile in response to his words, her voice as melodious as a harp, and her laughter—that he missed most. It was her laughter that could banish the oppressive silence of his palace. In truth, he had never regarded that cold and dark palace as a home. Nowhere could he deem a home without her presence.
—
He had been walking for quite some time now. The moon had ascended higher in the sky since he last glimpsed it. Lost in contemplation during his quiet stroll, he unexpectedly encountered a river. How peculiar—it seemed unfamiliar to him. Could his memory of the outside world be fading? No, he must simply have overlooked it before. The demon approached the riverbank, determining it was an decent place to pause and rest briefly. Yet, from the corner of his lavender eyes, he detected a movement…or was it a figure?
He tensed, squinting at the disturbance in the water. It might have been a mere fish, but few fish boasted scales so elongated. Kui Mulang called out, his voice tinged with both curiosity and a chilling edge.
“Who lurks there? Reveal yourself, or face... consequences.”
He was greeted by the sound of splashing—yes, unmistakably splashing, farther downstream. Stealthily and with great caution, he traced the source of the sound, and his eyes widened at the sight before him. There you were, a demon resembling a koi fish. Your fins and scales cascaded elegantly, reminiscent of flowing robes in hues of white and sunset orange. He was struck with astonishment. What manner of power did you possess? Who were you, truly?
"You appear troubled. But fear not. I'm y/n, and you must be the owner of the palace not far from here," you said, your smile warm and kind.
He was taken aback. His guards had never mentioned finding you, and if they had, they certainly hadn't brought you to the palace. Your smile seemed innocent, brimming with joy. He felt an urge to shatter your soul and consume it on the spot, yet found himself unable to proceed. Why? Not even a cruel demon like him could answer that question.
“Are you aware of the fact that I could kill you right now?”
“Of course.”
“But you won’t run- or, well, swim away?”
“If you were going to harm me, you would’ve done so already.”
The wolf demon had paused, contemplating your words. You were correct, he realized. He could have struck the moment he spotted movement in the water. Even if you were merely another demon, he couldn't fathom why he had refrained from devouring your soul. Was it because you reminded him of... her? No, that couldn't be. You could never be the Jade Maiden, despite the unsettling resemblance in your smile and the way your fins and tail resembled her elegant attire. The parallels were uncanny.
“Are you aware of who I am? Truly, do you know my name, or what I have done besides being the cause of demise for the creatures in the area?”
“…I was planning on asking you the same. You feel like a stranger I’ve crossed paths with before. Many times, in fact.”
Kui Mulang took a surprised step forward, disguising it with a throat-clearing cough. It all seemed too good to be true. You didn't appear to remember him entirely, but there were hints of familiarity in your manner. Even one memory would be enough. If you truly didn't recall... he would gladly bring you back to the palace and assist you in any way he could. Hope surged within him, albeit tinged with desperation. Part of him wished you would deny knowing him at all, so he could get rid of this false hope and consume your soul. Yet, it felt like you were being sincere. And that genuinely frightened him. Fear gripped him—the fear of losing the Jade Maiden, of losing what he had just found.
With utmost gentleness, he took your hands in his and gazed into your eyes. He detected a hint of surprise in your expression as your hands rested in his grasp, along with a touch of fluster. He whispered softly in your ear, his voice slightly hesitant yet filled with hope, “Who was I to you in those memories?”
“…you were someone that I felt like I cared about, it felt like I loved you. Isn’t that strange?”
A small, hesitant smile crept onto his face as he suddenly enveloped you in his arms, drawing you close in a tight embrace, indifferent to his robes becoming damp from the river. He almost felt as though he were hallucinating from the sheer joy of the moment. Closing his eyes, he buried his head against your shoulder.
“Dearest, I could never think it was strange…”
“It still seems surprising, of course.”
“Ah, still as humorous as ever, I see.”
