I was suddenly inspired by the idea of au crossover hollow knight n crk-

AU belong to @ecatethewitch (not quite sketch your au mb but i was inspired)

So I let Lazy Moonkin fansongs about HK play and quickly sketched the Elder Faerie as Pale King and Silent Salt as Hollow knight

Yes, the faerie grandfather died. Let's celebrate it! //I was his hater, but now I'm not, eh//

Some thoughts on shadowvanilla, empathy, kindness, and compassion:

(tl;dr: stop glossing over the selfishness of SM's part in this relationship just because you're worried it's "problematic" and you're going to get canceled. And stop arguing that you should never ship these two for that exact same reason. People with emotional struggles and low empathy who have been abused or struggled to learn to love kindly deserve love and understanding too. Those who struggle with learning to connect with others, to care for people kindly and unselfishly, aren't monsters who have no chance of redemption. They aren't naturally abusive and don't deserve to be shunned. It reflects pretty poorly on how yall feel about folks like that when you either say that you should never let characters like that be in relationships with others, OR simply write that relationship as magically fixing their "problems.")

A VERY important thing that I see glossed over a whole lot is the fact that SM's feelings for PV aren't caring or compassionate. Like. Yeah, he does have feelings for him, and they're clearly INTENSE, but that doesn't mean that he actually has any amount of compassion towards him.

Now, lemme establish something up front before I get into this next part: low empathy does NOT make someone a bad person. Full stop, end of sentence. Empathy has nothing to do with being a good person. I know folks with almost zero ability to feel empathy and they're some of my best friends in this world who I would trust with my life. All that "empathy" really means is that you can relate to and feel the emotions of others. You are empathetic towards them. A lack of empathy doesn't mean you don't CARE about how others feel, or that you're incapable of caring for others, it just means you can't put yourself in their shoes or relate to their feelings.

All of that said: it's very clear that SM has little to no empathy for other Cookies. He doesn't connect with other Cookies, he struggles to grasp PV's emotions even though he can literally FEEL them directly. The issue with SM's limited empathy is that he also has forgotten how to be kind and compassionate towards others. In his isolation, he's grown bitter and detached, and he can't see past his own misery to find it in himself to truly care about how he affects the people around him.

Hence how his feelings for PV are selfish: he desperately wants to be near PV, he wants his attention and devotion, he wants to keep him by his side forever, but he doesn't have the kindness or compassion in himself to properly CARE about him despite that. And, without empathy, he struggles to even understand the way PV feels, whether it's towards him as a person or just in general. So, in the context of them as a pairing, SM wants to be beside PV, he wants to be loved by him, but he doesn't know how to love him in a healthy, kind way. It's why he tries to force PV into an unhealthy and one-sided relationship: that way, he's in control of their dynamic, and he isn't expected to give PV anything he doesn't know how to give, like vulnerability and understanding.

None of this means that their relationship is terrible and should never happen. It just means that SM has growth he needs to do and emotional healing to go through before they can connect in a healthy, mutually beneficial way. He has to learn to be compassionate, to allow himself to be vulnerable, in order for that to happen, and while it would be an uphill battle, it CAN happen.

THAT SAID, SM recognizing that he HAS feelings for PV isn't going to magically make him start being understanding and kind towards him, and that's something I see happening in fanwork of them a lot. That isn't how that works! Love, even reciprocated, doesn't magically heal all of the emotional wounds someone has, it doesn't just "fix" the damage they've endured. You don't magically start being caring and kind just because you love and are loved. You can start to learn HOW to do that as a result of realizing that you are loved, and that you love someone else, but loving someone doesn't automatically mean you're going to treat them well and that you unselfishly care for them.

It was easy to know that Shadow Milk Cookie was projecting himself through Pure Vanilla Cookie when I was going through the story the first time because what he's doing is like how children recreate their trauma through their stuffed toys and dolls and since Pure Vanilla has the similar traits as him(hetrochromia), but PV still an entirely different cookie, who is the owner of the other half of his Soul Jam.

And now I've recently downloaded the Korean translations.

First meeting pt2!

The master of the ivory pagoda and the king.

(Im gonna redraw the first part later because i feel like i havent done justice to the fount, but for now I will focus more on the desings)

This desing was very much inspired by her old desing.

I saw it, loved it and decided to stole all the details i liked.

This is one of three designs/outfits btw! Each sleeping beast will have at least three.

Great news! My friend and i are working on a fanfic for our au!

She is going to write it and i am going to drawn some of the scenes, im so excited!

Also here are the first two sleeping beast.

Im still trying to figure out their designs but i really like how they are turning out.

We also decided for silent salt to be the last virtue wich means that Burning spice and eternal sugar will be the corrupted beasts.

Hey, guess what. We finished it!!

this was more of a little test to see how it would turn out. but hey, i'm not too disappointed with the result!

I added the candles because I wanted the atmosphere to be similar to that of the dreamers chambers of Hollow Knight (this is very inspired by the watcher's spire)

Now i need to start thinking about the other two sleeping beasts/virtues.

I think Mystic Flour cookie might be a good candidate but I have no idea who the third one might be.

A sleeping beauty/hollow knight inspired au.

This little au was invented by me, friend and my friend's baby sister.

My current obsession is cookie run kingdom, hers is hollow knight and her sister likes to watch sleeping beauty with me every time I go over to her place since. So we kinda mixed our intersests together in a big, weird, soup and created this.

This au is still a work in progress but the basic plot is that when the first two virtues corrupted the witches intervened earlier and sealed the two already corrupted beasts in the silver tree. However the other three remaining virtues, now on the brink of corruption were not sealed as well but instead were (against their will) put into a deep sleep so that they cannot become corrupted further. Their souljams are still taken by the witches and given to the ancients and all the canon happens with the battle of the dark flour and blah blah blah.

this scene is basically Pure Vanilla meeting his sleeping, not yet fully corrupted counterpart for the first time in his spire. Also, yes; this au contains shadowvanilla.

These are my bishops deisings for my "tears of a weaver's shroud" AU!

Im contemplating whether to color them or not.

Ho, to betray and to be betrayed, to love someone so much but to hate them at the same time.

To grieve the death of a brother and celebrate the defeat of an enemy.

A bit of background:

After being brought back to life for "the greater good" as the lamb had said the bishops are basically ostracized by the cult followers (many being former sacrifices)

They stay in the cult for a week trying to recover, avoiding the disgusted and hatefull looks of the followers.

Until, during a holy day, the lamb calls them into the temple and tells them to leave the cult, if they stay the followers will soon try to harm them and they won't anything about it.

They also didn't want them here, not after what they've done.

And so the former bishops of the old faith set off into the world, they were once gods, how hard can it be?

as they find out: very,very hard.

I might draw a little comic once i figure out how to draw them compact

Two weavers sat in front of their looms one spring night:

The first weaved until his hands ached, gently rocking his sons with his singing.

The second one, too saddened by memories and eaten by guilt, couldnt even pick up the tread.

This is a little au of mine where Narinder and the boys die before being freed by the gateaway and are reborn as father and sons in another island.

Ok, so i never posted here but i really wanted to share this little au of mine of my current iperfixation Hollow knight. (Please forgive the bad spelling) But is basically a "what if the radiance realised and regretted what she's done and tries to make things right by stopping the infection and going to speak to the pale king"

It takes place when the first eggs of the future vessels were just created but yet to be contamined by the void so when she goes to the king (through the body of some random bug because, you know, she doesn't have a fisical body) it basically goes like this:

Radiance: "i have realised that what i have done is wrong and decided to stop the infection-"

The pale king who had just started the vessel plan: YES! *hight fives the dreamers* honey! Take the eggs to the nursery, we're having babies!

The white lady: YES! *hight fives Dryya*

Herrah: do i still get to have that child? (yes)

The pale king and white lady end up having like 15 kids (with more to come) + Hornet who the pale king has shared costody with Herrah (Hollow and Ghost are in here too but they have different names)

The radiance gets to be remembered tanks to pk but is mourning her children (who she killed) and seeing the babies of the king doesn't help so she isolates herself in her realm for a while, she gets better eventually (especially after meeting the seer who, to my knowledge, is a descendant of her children so like a grandaughter? Great granddaughter? In any case she's a moth and she's alive so that's enough)
