I haven’t been on tumblr in a looong time, but I haven’t forgotten it, or rather, it won’t let me forget it exists. 

Every once in a while I get an email notification telling me that ‘SexySexKitten6969′ or ‘PervyQueenJane12345′ or ‘BoobLoverBob98765′ wants to follow me. When I go to block that profile there’s no one by that name in my inbox or followers list. It’s so annoying! There are better ways to get my attention tumblr, sheesh. 

In all honestly, what gives? Are these bots or something?

I’ve always wondered when a startup becomes a company. I met a woman today who gave be one of the best answers to date. 

Paraphrasing her words:

A startup becomes a company when they care for their mid level staff. Startups seek to hire Junior and Senior level employees but when those employees want to level up, there is little to no structure within the startup for them to do so. This often forces mid-level staff to quit and seek the higher position they want elsewhere.

From personal experience:

Ramping up a new employee takes time. New blood is always welcome but why not invest in the existing employee and help them level up? If they’re given the path and support to grow they’ll be less likely to leave and search elsewhere for what they want. 

Startups tend to spend their money on keeping senior/lead level staff salaries large. To balance that (I assume) they hire college or entry level employees because they can be paid way less. Maybe from a financial stand point this is a great model (I have no idea) but if the staff can’t level up neither does the company, how can it with so much turnover?

Since posting this dress, something didn’t feel right about it but I couldn’t put my finger on it... Turns out I switched the grey and purple sections on the dress. HA! Posting the fix now. - old outfit from 2015

Views from my bedroom window. When we first arrived there was no snow, a storm came in and dumped about 8 inches of it overnight just in time for xmas eve. On xmas day we woke up to a clear sunny sky and plenty of white snow to play in. Big warm thanks to the Serry and Wong family for organizing such an amazingly special and memorable holiday!!! 🎄 I had a blast spending Christmas surrounded by family. 😊💗💗💗 (at The Lodge on Palomar Mountain)
