Background thoughts on this little scene below:

I think that Heisenberg would feel guilty for a long time that he‘s taking care of Rose when he literally planned on using her as a weapon, and he knows that even though Ethan is dead, the man would NOT approve. So he would always refer to himself as "Karl" to Rose, and discourage her from calling him any variation of "dad". He would actively think that he's doing good: Miranda forced him to call her "Mother" when he didn't want to, so he's sparing Rose from what he went through.

Until this moment.

He'd finally realize that he's been simplifying it too much, and Rose's situation is fundamentally different than his: he didn't trust Miranda, but Rose trusts him, and feels rejected when he scoffs at the idea of them being a "family". And if anything, him dismissing her true needs in favour of what he thinks she needs, is something Miranda did constantly to him.

Idk how much of this comes across in the comic itself, hopefully enough!

Hi! It's a little bit old but your Wrecking Ball WinterBerg video rocked my world. The comparison between Zoe and Heisenberg was mindblowing I so totally see it now, the whole video was so well done. Yeah I'm not super familiar with RE7, so I had to rewatch a let's play to remember the jist of it, but the more I saw of Zoe the more she reminded me of Karl, and it pissed me off that the re7 gives you the option to pick her but re8 doesn't give you the option to (try to) work with Heisenberg. He is a dick but c'mon! We could've given it a try!

In my Heisendad au the RE7 & RE8 dlcs don't exist, so Zoe was never found, so Ethan feels guilt for what happened to Zoe, and gives Heisenberg a chance.

Also wdym shadowbanned?? does that mean that i blocked you, or some funky shit happened with tumblr..? idk, well regardless i'm very glad you liked it :]

Are you ever planning on drawing more of your Newmann Subnautica au... that was like a crazy autism crossover... I have the one of them in the Creepvine as my desktop wallpaper (it's gorgeous)

Here's something I'd started and more or less finished:

I had this idea that Hermann would probably get tired and sore much faster than Newton because of his leg, so he'd figure out how to hack the PDA and make new blueprints for the fabricator.

Newton proposed that he just stay in the habitat, but Hermann got pissed off, because he was scared that something might happen if Newt goes on too many solo missions. Once they start going deeper he's fine with waiting in the Seamoth while Newt explores a bit, because that way he can keep an eye on the sonar and swoop in in case of danger.
