Tbh part of what ive been telling myself is that good writers don't necessarily interview well. Eg: arguably both sisters get in the way of each other's happiness, but they mostly keep talking about the Jinx "impeding" Vi stuff. Still rough, but not necessarily the same thing as the text?

this could be the case, a combination of poor wording and bad-faith interpretations (i'm guilty) can 100% make things sound worse than the writers intended. and it can be argued that jinx and vi were hindering each other, which i agree with for season 1. but after what we see in season 2, personally it's hard for me to believe that at that point in their relationship

Seeing the recent q&a and how they reinforced the whole the sisters will never reunite is making me sad again. :(

It sucks that we’re a tiny part of the fandom and no one really cares because they view the sisters’ relationship as insignificant & less interesting because it’s not romantic.

I’m still kinda still not over the fact that many fans and Amanda view Jinx’s existence as an obstacle to Vi’s happiness and that they’re better off without each other. They never be together in any universe…

I’m a Vi fan, but I find her fandom isolating. I get happy knowing that you love her and have a lot of investment in the sisters relationship.

Anyways, sorry for being a downer.

romance is always seen to be the end-all be-all, and in all fairness, my first three years in the arcane fandom were very caitvi focused so i cannot say much. but we have definitely found ourselves in a more niche corner of the fandom, for sure

viewing jinx as "in the way" of vi's "happiness" is very ableist, full stop. i have yet to see a reason why jinx and vi have to be separated/why they're fundamentally incompatible that doesn't feel forced and/or isn't ableist

i understand that completely anon!! the divisions in the fandom definitely don't help that feeling of isolation :( but, at the end of the day, you're in fandom for you. just consume and engage with vi content that brings YOU joy. i'm going to be around for years, i love vi with all my being and the sister relationship between vi and jinx is my absolute favorite thing in the show
