NEL arc is sooo funny. 'isagi went through so much' 'rin is so interesting' chigiri hyoma, since the start of second selection, has consistently been with either reo or nagi. consistently. he's been on both sides of the gay divorce. he also loses his boyfriend to the war. he has to live with barou. then in third selection his team loses to fucking isagi againnn. AND THEN in the japan u20 match he gets switched out. and his dead boyfriend makes a miraculous reappearance but the 'voted healthiest couple in the soccer hunger games' award is taken away from them because for some reason kunigami is like emo now? and. they get to nel and chigiri is like okay cool this will be fine I can make the best of this. so he chooses to go to manshine. and fucking reonagi are on his team again literally he cannot escape. and by the end of the nel they come out the other end with literally ZERO wins. and he has to deal with a leg injury on top of all this. can my man get a break chigiri hyoma you deserve everything

Then again. “Must’ve caught somethin’,” he says lightly. “Case took us down by the river and Billy thought it wise to wade in after the suspect. Bloody freezing, it was. Can you believe the stuff he makes me do?” How could William possibly know something’s wrong? It’s only a cough. A perfectly natural thing.

William is trapped in a coma, but can hear everything around him. When Sherlock begins to be plagued by a mysterious cough, William can do nothing but listen, powerless to help the person who has never given up on him.
