How I have felt as autistic in neurotypical world:
I have felt like a dandelion in the world of roses or I have felt like a dead fly on an otherwise clean windshield.

Sharks infodump
@heartfall-syndrome
You wanted to hear infodump so here it comes :) it's about sharks :)
Sharks are cartilaginous fishes related to skates and rays. There are about over 500 species of them and they have existed for 450 million years. They existed before dinosaurs, trees and rings of Saturn! They don't have bones but cartilage that is on our nose and ears and it's more flexible and lighter than bones. Sharks don't have swim bladders but a very large oily liver that controls buoyancy. Not all sharks are predators. Some sharks eat plankton like whale shark, basking shark and megamouth shark, and some live at the sea bottom waiting for prey like wobbegong shark. Bonnethead shark also eats seagrass besides animals! And whale shark also occasionally eats seaweed! Sharks have very different lifestyles depending on the species and they are a diverse group. Some eat sea mammals, some fish, some cephalopods, some crustaceans, some are active swimmers, some lay on the sea bottom, some live deep, some live near the shore etc. Whale shark is the biggest shark, the biggest one found was about 18m long, and the smallest shark is dwarf lanternshark, about 20-21cm long. Besides basic senses sharks also have on their snouts ampullae of Lorenzini, jelly-filled spores, that sense electric impulses from moving muscles of prey animals, and on their side they have lateral line, that senses water vibrations.
Thank you! :)

During Easter with my family I told to my brother-in-law a random fact about a deadly disease. I love to shock people.

Hi. It has been a long time since I wrote in here. I missed Tumblr. I use again Facebook and other social media platforms but Tumblr feels more welcoming. I have gotten new interests, but sharks are still my special interest and love 🦈💙

Vent coming:
I was diagnosed by a doctor with Autism when I was 12 and I should consider myself as lucky I got so early Autism diagnosis. But strangely Autism diagnosis caused me to hate myself because I was already bullied and mocked and Autism diagnosis added the feeling that I was "wrong" and "broken" and I would always be bullied and mocked. Before middle school I didn't mask my autistic traits. I stimmed visibly, talked more and focused more on my special interests. But when bullying worsened in middle school, I trained myself to be "normal". I pushed through, refused any help and ignored my needs. But my autistic traits were still showing. Then I dated for 2 years an abusive person and during that time I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety and I got meds. I left my abusive partner 6 years ago, but I'm still struggling. After the break up I started to explore Autism more and I started to be more proud of my Autism. But ironically after the abusive relationship I mask my autistic traits more than ever. I don't stim a lot, I have lots of social anxiety, I'm exhausted constantly, I constantly think of my sayings, I'm stoic and expressionless, I'm more quiet, I'm prone to anxiety attacks and I rarely feel joy anymore. I think if mental health meds have caused me to become emotionally numb, but I know that if I stop taking those, I will be more prone to meltdowns, anger outbursts and emotional regulation problems like I was as younger. I now love being autistic and I try to unmask my traits, but 2 years ago I was also diagnosed with chronic illness and that only added fatigue and concentration problems. I just want to be that happy, talkative unmasking child again.

I would really appreciate it if non-autistics didn't treat autistics like circus performers because of their special interests.

Harsh opinion, but if someone mocks furries, cosplayers, cartoon fans, who are adults, and others, whose hobbies and interests literally don't harm anyone, they are jealous because they can't feel the same joy.

TW: ableism
Real great :/ (sarcastically) I walk outside and hear couple of school-aged kids talking about someone they know calling this person "So disabled" and laughing.
