Gotak as Your Boyfriend
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: Gotak is a chatterbox, playful, and slightly dramatic; he’s endlessly talkative, teasing, and intensely affectionate with the reader. The relationship is full of jokes, clingy moments, and sudden bursts of intensity. Contains: Affection, teasing, playful banter, light intensity, clinginess. Pairing: Gotak x reader. Word count: 560 (aprox.) TW: Playful teasing, clingy behavior, mild sexual tension, nonstop talking.
Gotak as Your Boyfriend
Personality in a relationship: Gotak is naturally chatty, playful, and a little dramatic. With you, that side only multiplies — he wants to share every random thought, every detail of his day, because he feels closest to you. He’s not the “quiet, mysterious” type at all; he’s the “endlessly talkative, makes-you-laugh, never-boring” type.
How he treats you: He’s very affectionate, though not always in the traditional “romantic” way. He shows his love by being present, by keeping you entertained, by making sure you never feel lonely. He teases you constantly, but it’s always with a smile or a cheek kiss right after. He’s protective, too — not aggressively, but enough to make it obvious you’re his priority.
How he reacts to you: Your moods affect him a lot. If you’re happy, he’s even louder and sillier. If you’re upset, he instantly softens, drops the jokes, and focuses on cheering you up (usually through comfort mixed with humor). Deep down, he gets nervous if you’re distant, so he’ll talk more, trying to close the gap.
Romantic side: Gotak’s love language is attention. He wants to be around you, talk to you, and know everything about you. He’s clingy in the cutest way — always holding your hand, leaning on you, or draping an arm around you. And though he’s playful most of the time, when he’s serious, he can be very intense. His kisses and words switch from silly to passionate in a heartbeat.
Overall: With Gotak, you’d never be bored. He’s that boyfriend who keeps you laughing, annoys you a little with his nonstop chatter, but makes you feel incredibly loved and safe at the same time.

⤷ summary: The five of you squeeze into the corner booth of your favorite tteokbokki spot, chaos and laughter swirling around you, but all you can focus on is Gotak leaning close, teasing you with the promise of a kiss as your “reward” for drawing him.
⤡ contains: fluff, group hangout, light teasing, playful romance

The little tteokbokki shop was loud and cramped, but it was your favorite kind of loud. Steam curled against the windows, the whole place smelling like chili and fried batter. The five of you were jammed into the corner booth, bowls and chopsticks scattered across the table like a battlefield. It was messy, chaotic, but it felt like home.
Gotak sat right next to you, his thigh pressed against yours under the table like he couldn't stand leaving even an inch of space. Across from you, Baku was chewing loudly, shoving an entire fish cake into his mouth like he was in some kind of competition. Si-eun was next to him, calm as ever, eating at his own slow pace like nothing around him could ever rattle him. Jun-tae sat tucked into the corner, his hands neatly folded around his chopsticks, his soft smile flickering whenever he glanced up at the group.
Your sketchbook was balanced on your lap, pencil moving without much thought. It was habit now, the way you caught people on paper. The curve of Si-eun's brow, the way Jun-tae always ducked his head slightly when he laughed, the way Baku leaned forward like he was always ready to talk with his whole body. And, of course, Gotak, always shifting, always grinning, always stealing glances at your page like he was desperate to see himself through your eyes.
It was Baku who noticed first. He leaned over suddenly, his shadow falling across your page.
"Woah," he said with his mouth still full. "You draw like Mozart."
The pencil froze in your hand. You looked up slowly, blinking at him. Si-eun raised an eyebrow. Jun-tae's lips parted in the beginnings of a laugh, his shoulders trembling as he tried to hold it in.
Gotak whipped his head around so fast you nearly smudged your sketch. "You mean Picasso, idiot!" His voice was so loud people at the next table turned to look.
Baku scowled. "That's what I said."
"No, you said Mozart! That's music!" Gotak slapped the table for emphasis, his whole face twisted up in disbelief. "What the hell, man, do you think you play art like a piano?"
Jun-tae couldn't help it—he laughed, soft and breathy, covering his mouth with his hand. "Mozart... that's actually kind of funny."
"Funny?!" Gotak groaned, dragging his hands down his face like he was seconds from collapse. He turned toward you with that familiar grin, the kind that made your chest feel annoyingly warm.
"Don't listen to him, babe. Your art's great."
You raised your brows, pretending to stay focused on your page. "Great, huh? Then what's my reward for drawing you?"
That shut him up for half a second. Then his grin came back, slower this time, tugging at the corners of his mouth. He leaned in, resting his chin on your shoulder like it was his personal seat, his hand finding your knee under the table as if no one could see.
"Easy," he said, his voice dropping just enough to curl right into your chest.
"A kiss."
Your pencil stilled again, heart stuttering. The warmth of him was all around you, his breath brushing your cheek, his hand steady on your knee. You tilted your head, eyes narrowing. "...That's it?"
He smirked, teeth flashing. "One kiss per drawing. If it's good, maybe I'll give you two."
"Gross," Si-eun muttered, not even looking up from his food.
Jun-tae ducked his head, hiding his smile behind his sleeve.
Baku chewed loudly, shaking his head. "You two make me sick."
Gotak just grinned wider, reaching out to snatch the rice cake Baku tried to throw at him and popping it into his mouth like it was proof of victory. "Jealous," he said around the food, leaning back against the booth with his arm stretching behind you.
You bit back a smile, pretending to sketch like nothing happened, though your hand trembled just slightly. He must've noticed, because his thumb rubbed slow circles against your knee, grounding you.
Tumblr media
later that day, he's walking you home
The neon lights flickered softly above, the air sharp and clean compared to the warm chaos inside. You hugged your sketchbook to your chest, feeling the faint press of Gotak's shoulder against yours.
He walked beside you, hands in his pockets, glancing sideways every few steps, a small playful grin tugging at his lips. "So..." he began, voice quiet, gentle, teasing all at once.
"Where's my reward?"
"You mean for modeling?"
"Yes. For sitting there looking like you had to draw me, and not complaining," he said softly, stepping a little closer.
You tilted your head, warmth rising. "..You were hardly still."
"That's exactly the point," he said, playful but low, brushing his hand against yours. "Still counts."
You sighed, cheeks heating, stepping closer to him. "You're impossible."
"And you love me anyway," he replied, eyes soft, grin tugging at the corners.
Before you could respond, he leaned down and pressed a gentle kiss to your lips. Soft, warm, just enough to make your stomach flip and your fingers tighten around your sketchbook. When he pulled back, his hand found yours, lacing fingers naturally, firmly, like it had always been that way.
"Worth it," he murmured quietly.
You shook your head, smiling, cheeks flushed, but you didn't let go. Not then. Not ever.

Y2K GIRL : Go Hyuntak
pairing : Go Hyuntak x fem!y2k style!reader
genre : fluff
description : Eunjang wasn’t used to your style. It didn’t mean that they didn’t like it. More like they were intimidated by your willingness to stand out. Until Hyuntak notices you on your first day midterm just like every other person there. And he wasn’t sure whether he liked the attention everyone else gave you.
contents / warnings : jealousy?,, i feel like it can be a lil cringy but that is insecure writing :p,
here it is !! I’m sorry it took so long to get round to this - :( enjoy angel!!!
The first day at a new school always feels like stepping into a fishbowl, everyone’s eyes trained on you, waiting to decide whether you’re worth ignoring or whispering about.
Decorated in layers of velvet and animal print, you had made the schools uniform your own in a way.
Skirt low rise unlike the other girls who wore there’s high up and rolled more times then a wrap.
The material hung off your hips like you were making the clothes for you, not the other way round, as it should be.
You didn’t follow the dress code exactly, but there was nothing in the rule book that stated you couldn’t wear an animal print jacket instead of a blazer. Not to mention that the teachers were already lazy about that sort of thing.
Jewellery adorned your figure, a mixture of chunky and thin, mixing and layering themselves together to pull off an outfit that you made seem effortless.
In the swarm of students, teachers, lingering gazes that were either of irritation or adoration by your presence, you walked confidently.
Not too confident that it bordered on cocky. But you knew how to make it known that you didn’t take no shit from anyone.
At Eunjang, blending in was survival. Baku was the only other person to bend that rule, purely for the reason that everyone else surrounding him was too afraid to test that theory themselves.
That was why his little group noticed you. Sieun was as emotionless as ever, Jun-Tae seemed barely there, but Baku and Hyuntak seemed to share the same wavelength of intrigue. For different reasons.
Baku was loud. Spoke when he probably shouldn’t, not that he cared. But he noticed how you didn’t bow down to anyone else.
Hyuntak, or Gotak, on the other hand noticed your style first. How you didn’t fit into the Eunjang ‘normal’, or whatever that was meant to be.
How your bracelets dangled over your wrists and the eye catching colours that adorned your features and clothes, the way your style didn’t fit in to nowaday society, specifically at Eunjang.
It wasn’t a bad thing. Some of the people there admired your willingness to stand out, the fact you could pull off clothes and style them in a way that was unique and probably wouldn’t suit anyone other than yourself.
And the people that didn’t admire? Were intimidated. Hyuntak chose the former option.
He watched from afar with the others as you sat in the back row of the third class of the day, one you shared with the four of them.
Hyuntak just thought you were unique. He wasn’t gonna just strike up a conversation with you because you were new, but Baku had other ideas.
The teacher wasn’t even here for the class, nor did they seem like they cared. The whole seating arrangement was messed up with students trying to sit with their friends.
Hyuntak was practically slouching in his chair next to Baku, their seats unintentionally facing your way just a few rows ahead of you, but them rows remained empty.
Baku and Hyuntak was doing most of the talking, with the odd comment from Jun-tae or Sieun.
Baku’s voice was obnoxiously loud, matching the other herds of groups around the room.
You sat alone. It was your first day, and you preferred to be alone anyway. Less distractions or bothers.
Hyuntak glanced at you once every few minutes, his interest peaking every time you smiled at your phone.
“Ya, leopard print” Baku called out, boyish grin on his face. His voice wasn’t to sound rude, but Baku knew everyone in this school, so new kids were his bait to show off. Kindly of course.
You looked up at his words, he and Hyuntak were looking at you, the former with kind eyes the other practically stoic. Jun-Tae turned around to look at you, a bit lost, whilst Sieun remained eyes down.
You didn’t reply, just waited to see what he wanted from you. Your hands stilled on your phone, mindlessly scrolling through social media when he spoke up. Baku nodded towards your outfit, “You always this extra?”
Hyuntak should’ve been mortified by his best friends comment, it wasn’t intended to sound rude, but he knew that Baku sometimes had a way of making his words sound crueler then he meant.
This was one of the few times that he cared if you caught on to that fact.
Huffing a small, humourless laugh you responded, “If you wanna call it that”
He motioned towards Hyuntak next “Join us for lunch, Gotak’s paying”. Hyuntak faced him at that, murmuring a small curse before speaking louder, “you always make me pay”
“Gotak?” You questioned, the word foreign on your tongue as you tested it out.
The boy looked back at you, his signature blue hoodie adorning his frame, simple to most people, but even more so compared to your styled clothed.
“Hyuntak” he corrected, his voice softened in contrast to how he previously spoke to his friend.
Baku scoffed quietly mimicking his word. He also then turned to look back at you, all four of them now looking at you with very different expressions.
“Yah, Gotak you can’t let the woman pay” Baku disciplined, as if he was teaching a small child, his hand landing carelessly on Hyuntak’s shoulder.
The boys face was priceless, caught off guard, but before he could even reply to his stupidity of a friend you spoke up, voice laced with gentleness, lips glossy,
“I’ll pass. Thank you though” Despite your words, your tone was kind, before you tucked your hair behind your ear, showcasing the subtle coloured highlights underneath, and turning your head back down to your phone and notebook full of mindless doodles.
Baku odder, not in defeat but as if he too your words as a silent challenge. The boys attempts weren’t like he wanted to pursue something romantic, he was past all that.
But he thought it would be cool to have a girl in the group that formed over the course of the months.
“I’m Jun-tae” the boy with glasses spoke, voice quite, soft spoken, innocent. You smiled lightly at him before replying, “y/n”
You left the four of them alone after that, keeping to yourself, only ever looking up when someone in the classes voice got too loud, sending daggers to the back of their skull.
The group saw you again that weekend, in town on your own after Baku dragged them all to his dads shop. Hyuntak walked with his arm slung over Jun-tae’s shoulder when he saw you.
You looked more free then at school obviously. You could really do and wear what you wanted. Black jeans hugging your curves, cheetah print belt worn over your hips, a small hello kitty charm hanging off them loosely.
Your white tank was paired with a skin tight pink jacket, accessories adorning your frame all over but not to the point where it was too much.
“Y/n-ah!” Baku yelled over to you, waving over, attracting the attention of some by passers, earning weird looks from them and you.
When they walked over to you, you stilled. Baku put his hands over Sieun and Hyuntak’s heads, pushing them down to a sort of bow as well as himself, Jun-tae awkwardly following suit.
You stifled your laughter at the boys faces, before looked at them with a puzzled look on your expression as they all got back up, Sieun and Gotak glaring at the boy. Baku put his hands back in his pockets, “its polite” he explained simply.
“What are you guys doing?” You asked them softly, hand hovering over your bag as the other one was hovering over your jeans. Hyuntak spoke up first for once, the sound of his voice surprising you,
“We’re just hanging out” He seemed unsure with his words, as if he was convincing himself. You smiled at him, kind eyes looking up at him as he spoke.
You were different. You weren’t fake like most of the other girls your guys’ age, and you didn’t reek of gossip and cheap perfume.
He thought you were beautiful. Hyuntak didn’t tend to take an interest in girls a lot, instead opting to focus on his basketball, but this felt different.
It was refreshing really. Baku took the both of you out of your small interaction as he commented light heartedly, casually,
“Join us” he beckoned you over to them. You parted your lips as if to respond but the words got caught in your throat as you tried to come up with an excuse.
“Just come with” Baku motioned again, and you gave in to the four boys practically staring at you.
It would also be nice to have some company for the first time since you arrived here.
You nodded, moving to stand next to Hyuntak, who’s arm fell limp by his side from its position on Jun-tae’s shoulder.
Baku started walking, and like lost puppies, you followed suit, the now five of you walking through the quiet town, wind blowing through your hair slightly.
You were still new here, so you were taking in everything you could, the darkening skys light echoing onto your features, a warm glow surrounding you.
Baku and Jun-take pointed out stores and little details to each other, whilst Sieun sort of stared blankly ahead, monotone as always.
You and Hyuntak seemed unsure what to do with yourselves. You weren’t sure what you were doing with the four boys. But they did truly look harmless, to you at least.
“It’s refreshing to have a girl in the group now” Baku commented, making your face grimace slightly before you continued on, arms crossing over your chest mock defensively,
“Who said i was apart of your group?”
Baku’s face dropped slightly before Sieun spoke up after that, voice casual speaking, “You would have left by now”
You shrugged, “fair”, Hyuntak looked over at you, and he couldn’t help but add his own comment in there,
“What, you don’t wanna be associated with us?” His voice held fake annoyance, which was nice to hear the lightheartedness of the situation.
The boy was taking a liking to you, and quickly it appeared like. It wasn’t everyday the other three boys saw him speak with such softness to a girl, or anyone for that moment.
You didn’t answer, just smiled ahead, glancing briefly at the different people surrounding you, the unfamiliar faces, the unfamiliar surroundings.
You found yourself subconsciously walking closer to Hyuntak, his quiet presence a comforting anchor amidst the boisterous energy of Baku.
Sieun, ever the enigmatic one, continued to observe from a slight distance, his gaze occasionally drifting to you, a flicker of something unreadable in his eyes.
Hyuntak, noticing your proximity, subtly shifted his weight, his arm brushing yours for a fleeting moment that sent shivers throughout your skin.
A warmth spread through you, a tiny spark that hinted at something more than just newfound classmates. He cleared his throat, a faint blush dusting his cheeks.
"There's a really good ice cream place just around the corner," he offered, his voice a little softer than before.
Baku, always quick to jump on an opportunity for food, clapped his hands together, “Ice cream! Perfect! Gotak’s treat, everyone!"
Hyuntak scoffed to his friend flipping him off, but didn’t make want effort towards correcting him.
You smiled at Hyuntak, a genuine smile that reached your eyes. "Salted caramel sounds incredible right now."
As you walked towards the ice cream shop, the conversation flowed more easily. You found yourself laughing at Baku's antics and Jun-tae's witty comebacks, but your eyes kept finding Hyuntak.
He wasn't as loud as the others, but his observations were sharp, and his quiet humor was endearing. You learned he was surprisingly passionate about his basketball, a side to him you hadn't expected.
The ice cream was as good as Jun-tae told you. Comforting in the best way possible, it was all better when Sieun got brains freeze and Baku caught him out.
The close proximity between you and Hyuntak meant that your shoulders would inevitably brush against each other’s every couple minutes at least.
You sat quietly among them, watched as Hyuntak bickered with Baku, his body close to your own in the small seats.
Your fingers tapped mindlessly against the bowl, rings making a tiny almost unbearable clinking sound against the metal.
“I should go” you spoke later on, when everyone’s bowls were empty and it was bordering on late, almost closing time.
Hyuntak looked over to you, “Do you want us to walk you back?” What he really meant was ‘do you want me to walk you back’ but he wasn’t about to admit that.
You shook your head no politely, ‘it’s fine i only live a couple blocks down. Thanks for the ice cream”
The group bid their goodbyes to you, with Hyuntak being harassed by Baku who moved to sit next to him now that you were gone.
A familiar heaviness settled in your chest as you walked away, feeling the weight of the boys’ gazes on you as you didn’t loo back.
The quiet evening air was a stark contrast to the boisterous laughter you had previously left behind.
The scene with them still played in your mind, like a song you were struggling to get out of your head. The bickering with Baku, the way Hyuntak’s shoulders brushed yours in the booth, and the fact you were making it to be more than it probably was.
You knew what it meant when he asked to walk you back. But you turned it down. The sensible part of you saying it was for the best, that it was too soon to let a random schoolboy you barely knew walk you home.
No matter how much you deemed yourself attracted to him anyway.
The other part, that wanted to continue laughing with the boys, felt a small pang of regret.
Y/n come hang out with us again
Baku practically pleaded you two weeks later. And you gave in to the way he got Jun-take to join him.
The past two weeks were filled with lingering glances from Hyuntak before you noticed and he looked away before it got awkward. The telltale sign you knew too well by now.
He walked you to class, saying it was on his way anyway, when really his class was on the other side of the school and he got detention for the third time.
You found yourself willingly hanging out with the group more. It was comforting to know you managed to make some friends here already. Even though one of them you weren’t sure you wanted to call just a friend.
Most of the other people you had encountered seem to
It was too early to tell, you kept telling yourself. But the way he picks up your at for you, his smile at someone’s joke, the signature blue hoodie you wondered if it ever even got washed with how much he wore it.
All that told you that your mind was already made up.
So when you found yourself back in another part of town you had yet to visit, you and Hyuntak floating a foot behind the other three, you nor Gotak were sure what to do with yourselves.
He was finding himself catching feelings for you, too quickly and too much for his own liking. He was picking up on your habits that he wasn’t even sure if you were aware you had.
It was a foreign, confusing kind of feeling, a quiet pull neither of you were expecting.
The sun was warm on your skin, air filled with the distant hum of traffic and nearby people.
“Hey beautiful” a voice cut through the group, a guy with too much bleach on his hair, and a t shirt too tight had sidled up to you, grin adorning his face.
“You got a name gorgeous?” He asked you, already standing too close to you. The boys had stopped it heir tracks too, Sieun staring at the boy like he was crazy, Jun-tae unsure of what to do and Baku with his signature smirk.
You could tell from his voice alone how obnoxious and self righteous he thought he as, like you were about to bow down to his feet because he called you pretty.
That wasn’t the kind of guy you liked to attract. Guys who lived like they were better then the others around them.
Hyuntak’s expression was unreadable. But whilst you were desperately trying to think of what to say that would make the guy back off, Baku seemed to have a pretty good idea already.
“Dude she’s taken” Baku exclaimed with a friendly smile, and immediately your froze, face draining of all colour.
“Baku?” You asked confused as to where he was leading with this. Was he saying that you were dating him? If so it was a smart idea to get him off your back, and you would appreciate the effort of the lie.
The boys smirk faltered just the tiniest bit, as if it was a set back but was still not done trying, “what by you?”
Baku shrugged, hands in his pockets before he stood behind you and Gotak, pushing the two of you together slightly, “nah, him”
Hyuntak froze himself, face contorting slightly before he settled to try and convince the guy that he was in fact dating you.
But he also knew that he would kill Baku the moment he was out of his ray of sight.
“Him?” The guy scoffed, clearly not believing what was in front of him, his words fuelling Gotak slightly.
The guy was infuriating Hyuntak, the bleach in his hair made his hair look fried enough, it wasn’t like he was worried you liked the guy.
But he saw the way your expression went form uncomfortable to settled, as if you were going along with whatever this was.
“Ya, cheetah print” Baku motioned, hands over both yours and Gotak’s shoulders before he continued with a never faltering grin, “Get your boy”
You cringed physically at his words, pushing his hand off you before you nodded towards the guy whose name you were still unsure of, “I am taken. Sorry”
He nodded, still not moving from his position, until Sieun spoke up, already fed up with the guy imposing on what was a peaceful day out, “You can go” his face was dull and his voice was casual, sounding a bit tired like he had just woken up.
You decide to take it a step further though, going as far as to lean over, pressing a small kiss to Hyuntak’s cheek before pulling back with a small smile of your own finally forming.
Gotak looked back at you, half shook half ecstatic, but he wouldn’t let it show as he cleared his throat quietly. The guy nodded once more, not even looking defeated as he began to walk past you all without a word.
With a shaky hand, you tucked your hair behind your ear turning to Gotak, “sorry about that” you apologised, worried you made him uncomfortable from ow silent he was,
The three others had already started walking off again, continuing the hangout as normal, but the two of you never noticed.
The feeling of your lips against his cheek were still a burning memory he chose not to forget, scrambling for the right words to say in this moment but all he could manage out a was a small, “its fine I don’t mind”
You smiled, trying diffuse the tension before you moved to catch up with the others, the thoughts circling your mind revolving around him.
And he watched as you walked ahead, hair cascading down your back, the signature look of animal print, subtle denim and accessories adoring your figure more perfect then any silhouette, to him at least.

Lipbalm – Yeon Si-eun
~weak hero class
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Content: fluff, gender neutral! reader × sieun
A/n's note: just wanted to write one sieun fic since I haven't seen many whc fics on here
~700 words
Tumblr media
It’s freezing outside.
The kind of biting cold that cuts through layers, painting noses pink and making breath curl in the air like smoke. You're sitting beside him on a concrete ledge behind the school, huddled up in your jacket. Sieun’s next to you, hoodie up, sleeves pulled over his hands, looking straight ahead with that usual unreadable stare.
He hasn’t said much in the past ten minutes. Not that you mind. You’ve always liked the quiet with him — not heavy, just… calm. Comfortable.
But then you notice it.
“Your lips are chapped,” you say, glancing at him sideways.
He doesn’t move. Doesn’t look at you. “So?”
You reach into your pocket, pull out a small tube of lip balm, and wiggle it in front of his face.
“I brought this. Let me help.”
He raises an eyebrow, finally turning to you. His eyes flick to the balm, then to your hand, then back to your face.
“I’m not a kid,” he mutters.
“I didn’t say you were. I’m just being nice,” you reply, uncapping it.
He stares at you for another moment — that typical Sieun silence that always feels like a test. Then he sighs and leans slightly toward you.
“Fine. Do it.”
Your heart stutters. You didn’t actually expect him to say yes.
You lift your hand slowly, the lip balm poised between your fingers. His gaze doesn’t leave yours, even as you move closer, close enough to smell the faint scent of his shampoo. Clean. Warm. Like something grounding.
“Stay still,” you whisper, voice softer than you meant it to be.
His lips part just a little. You gently swipe the balm across his bottom lip, then the top. They’re dry, just like you said. A little cracked near the corner. He doesn’t flinch — just watches you. Quietly. Unblinking.
You finish, heart thudding like an idiot.
Then, right as you're pulling back, your thumb brushes the corner of his mouth.
“There,” you murmur. “Much better.”
You expect him to roll his eyes, maybe wipe it off with his sleeve. But he doesn't.
Instead, he says quietly, “You missed a spot.”
Your eyes flick up. “Where?”
His gaze drops to your lips. “Here.”
You freeze.
It’s not a joke. Not a smirk. His tone is soft — almost shy, but confident in that way only Sieun could be. You feel the heat rise to your cheeks. He doesn’t move. Doesn’t close the distance. Just waits. You try to find something clever to say, something to cut the tension with a laugh. But nothing comes. Your mouth is dry. Your heart is anything but quiet now.
“…You’re serious?” you whisper, voice barely above the wind.
He doesn’t blink. Doesn’t flinch.
“I don’t say things I don’t mean.”
God, why does his voice have to be that low? That steady?
You take a slow breath and close the space between you, barely tilting your head. It’s careful — hesitant, like you’re giving him one last chance to say he was joking. But he wasn't. His eyes flutter shut right before your lips meet, and the moment they do, it’s—
Soft.
Softer than you expected from someone like him.
His lips are still a little cold, a little dry — but the way he kisses you is warm. Tentative, but not shy. Gentle, but not weak. His hand lifts, almost out of instinct, fingers brushing your jaw like he’s afraid you’ll pull away.
You don’t.
You lean in more, and he responds just a little — tilting his head, letting the kiss deepen in the most natural way. No rush. No pressure. Just the slow, steady realization that this is real.
When you finally part, it’s only by a breath.
You stay close, your forehead brushing his, your lips tingling.
Sieun doesn’t move for a moment. Just exhales. His breath hits your cheek, warm despite the cold.
“…Tastes like strawberry,” he mumbles, eyes still half-lidded.
You blink. Then laugh, the sound escaping before you can stop it. “Of course that’s your first comment.”
He shrugs lazily, lips curling at the edges. “You picked the flavor.”

The mall was crowded, alive with weekend noise: the muffled bass from clothing stores, kids shrieking in the arcade, the sizzle and pop from the food court. It wasn’t really Si-eun’s kind of place. He preferred quiet, somewhere his thoughts could breathe. But when you’d asked him to come along after carm school, he hadn’t said no. He never did.
Now he followed a half-step behind you, hands shoved in his pockets, gaze drifting over the floor tiles like he was calculating escape routes. He didn’t complain, though, not even when you stopped every few minutes to peer at shop displays.
That was when your eyes landed on it: a small photo booth tucked between a claw machine and a capsule toy dispenser. Its screen flashed a carousel of example shots—kids pulling silly faces, friends flashing peace signs, couples leaning into each other like it was the easiest thing in the world.
Your grin spread instantly. “Let’s take pictures.”
Si-eun stopped dead, brow furrowing. “A photo booth?”
“Yeah!” You tugged his sleeve. “We never have pictures together. This is perfect.”
His expression didn’t shift, but his silence said enough. You sighed dramatically, pressing a hand to your chest. “Come on. What if you vanish one day? What will I have to remember you by?”
He gave you a flat look. “That’s ridiculous.”
“Ridiculously true.” you shot back, already dragging him forward.
The curtain swished shut behind you, cutting off the mall’s noise. The booth smelled faintly of plastic and dust, the glow from the screen spilling over your faces. The seat was barely big enough for two—your knees brushed when you sat, shoulders pressed close.
You scrolled through the options and immediately tapped the gaudiest one, a frame with glitter, stars, and hearts floating lazily around the preview.
Si-eun’s eyebrow arched. “…Seriously?”
“Yes,” you said with mock solemnity. “If you’re going to suffer, you’ll suffer in glitter.”
The booth chimed, starting its first countdown. 3… 2… 1…
Click.
You flashed a peace sign, beaming. Si-eun sat stiff, straight-backed, his face blank like he’d been forced to retake his passport photo.
You broke into laughter. “Oh my god—you look like you’re waiting at the DMV!”
“That’s the point.” he said, tone perfectly even. But his lips twitched, the faintest ghost of a smirk threatening to break.
The second countdown began. 3… 2… 1…
You puffed your cheeks, winking and leaning closer. Out of the corner of your eye, you caught him glance at you just as the shutter went off, his mouth pressed tight like he was fighting a laugh.
You jabbed his arm, grinning. “Ha! You’re enjoying this.”
“I’m not.” he said quickly, but the pink climbing up his ears betrayed him.
The third countdown rolled. 3… 2… 1…
You moved fast, dragging a cat-ear sticker over his head on the screen. The photo snapped at the perfect moment—his startled, betrayed expression next to your gleeful laugh.
You nearly doubled over. “Perfect. Absolutely perfect. You look adorable.”
He groaned softly, tipping his head back against the booth wall. “You’re impossible.”
“One more,” you said, nudging his shoulder. “Then I’ll let you go.”
He didn’t argue. Didn’t move either.
The screen lit up for the final shot. 3… 2… 1…
You turned toward him, ready with another goofy face—but froze when his palm brushed yours knuckles on the seat. His fingers lingered, steady, and when you looked up, his eyes were already on you. Not exasperated. Not distant. Just…quiet. Searching.
Something fluttered in your chest.
2… 1…
Before you could react, he leaned in and kissed you.
The shutter clicked.
It was soft, tentative at first, like he wasn’t sure if he was allowed. His lips were warm against yours, hesitant, but when you didn’t pull away, he deepened it just slightly—enough to leave your heart stuttering. The tiny space seemed to hum, the sound of your pulse louder than the machine’s mechanical whir.
He pulled back after only a second, but it felt stretched, suspended. His face was close, his breath still brushing your lips, and for the first time, he looked unguarded. Vulnerable.
“…That one won’t print right,” you whispered, half-dazed.
A small, chuckle escaped him. “Guess we’ll find out.”
The machine whirred, spitting out glossy strips. You grabbed them quickly, your fingers shaking slightly. The first shot: your peace sign, his deadpan stare. The second: your goofy face, his almost-smile. The third: cat ears perched on his startled head.
And the last one.
Your kiss. His eyes closed, yours half-lidded, his hand lifted like he’d almost cupped your cheek but froze.
You stared at it, your heart in your throat. “…Wow.”
Before you could tease him, he plucked the strip from your hand, tearing it neatly in half. He handed you one side, keeping the other.
“Hey wait—” you started.
“I’m keeping it.” he said simply. No hesitation.
Your lips parted, but no words came. His tone left no space for argument.
Outside, the mall’s noise returned, but everything felt different. Si-eun walked beside you, his side brushing yours. He didn’t pull away when your hand grabbed his.
“Don’t lose that.” he said suddenly, nodding at the photo placed in your pocket.
You smiled softly. “I won’t.”
He looked away quickly, but not before you caught it: the faintest grin tugging at his lips, a hint of color still lingering on his cheeks.
And maybe you didn’t need the photo at all. Because for once, he’d let you see what he’d been holding back.

(WORDS: 1.3k words)
Y/N never know what real love means until she falls for Gotak, her dad’s best friend’s son. She never meant to fall for him, one day it simply happened like one of those movies when the main character fell in love at first sight suddenly. It wasn’t sudden lightning strike or some dramatic moment, it was quiet, stable, and almost unnoticeable at first. She started noticing the little things: the way he smiled teasingly everytime he annoys the hell out of her but she loves it when he tease her, the way he is genuinely being a gentleman around her trying to make her forget that she is a man-hater, and lastly the way he listens to every nonsense when she spoke to him and it’s making her feel that every words she said actually matters. These small, every moments slowly built a warmth inside her, a connection that she couldn’t ignore.
Her crush on Gotak is an on and off feeling because at first she tried to deny it and maybe it’s just her going crazy over the fact that she knows a lot of guys but she picks him over the boys she also likes. She thought her crush on him is purely admiration or the harmless fondness she feels for someone close to her family. But it stopped when she found out that he likes someone through his best friend, Baku, also a close friend of hers which made her feelings on Gotak slowly fading away. Moments after that news she finally have a new crush, Si-eun, a new classmate of hers that she curiously thought interesting at how nonchalant he is. Somehow Gotak found out about it from her brother and starts teasing at how she likes nonchalant guys.
“Trust me he won’t make the first move. He is nonchalant and i know guys like him will never do anything until you make the move.” Gotak said as they were upstairs in her bedroom and he was sitting on the floor while she lies down on her own bed staring at the wall in front of her quietly.
So she was kind of debating herself to made the first move by following Si-eun’s private instagram account which only has a few followers and there’s a tiny percent chance that he will follow her back. Gotak looked at her behind as she is already sitting indian sit on her bed with her phone. Honestly Gotak really doesnt have time for her love of his life rambling about a guy that is not him but what’s his rights anyways she only thought of him as a brother. That made him sighed and said but regret it:
“I have a bet if he follow you back in Instagram within a week which is impossible I owe you 10,000 won and if you don’t get a follow back in one week you owe me 10k won too.”
Gotak stands up from the floor and let his hand out almost want to back down by the stupid deal he made but Y/N started to stand up from her bed and let out her hand shaking it firmly. “Deal…” She feels butterflies on her stomach when he touch her hand but again she just ignored the feeling and have a bet to win. He smiled at her and messed her hair which made Y/N’s eyes roll playfully. A week after as she was trying to get up from her bed after her long hour nap. She has a sudden surprised notification from instagram on her phone.
(Sieun_Yeon67 started following you)
She widened her eyes and get up from bed jumping giddily that she won at Gotak’s bet. She smirked and screenshot it then send the picture to him which earned a “What the fuck” text from him and she chuckled.
Y/N: You owe me 10k won now and also going to treat me tteokboki soon ;)
GoTak: I didn’t say anything about treating you tteokboki but since you mentioned it I’m craving some right now.
Y/N: Pick me up in an hour see you!!
Months later Y/N and Si -eun was introduced by a mutual friend of theirs which is Jun-tae. She starts to realize that Si-eun is really a smart quiet guy but inside he is really a caring guy and that made Y/N forget her feelings on Gotak until Si-eun ask her out then they started dating. When Gotak found out that his Y/N is with someone else that is not him, it deeply hurts him and that made him start to distance himself from her because Y/N has a boyfriend and doesn’t want to ruin their friendship. Only Baku really knows about what his best friend feels and starts to confort Gotak by playing basketball with him and hangs out with him more since Y/N was the one Gotak hangs out more with but she was busy with her new boyfriend. Soon later Jun-tae and Si-eun joined Y/N, Gotak, and Baku’s group.
Even though Gotak is being distant to Y/N, he will find a way to talk to Si-eun showing his protective side and jokingly threatened her boyfriend that if he hurts her he will not hesitate to beat him up which earn Gotak a cold glare from Si-eun. He doesn’t want them to know that he is jealous to the point he really wants to beat her boyfriend and he heard a rumor that Si-eun changed school due to putting someone in coma that made Gotak think she knows anything about it. He knows Y/N doesn’t care about her boyfriend’s past because she is not a judgmental person and that’s what he likes about her.
2 months have passed of Y/N dating Si-eun. She finally have hold hands with him, he knows all of her secrets that Gotak knows too, he hugs her a lot which shock her because she never expects him to be the one who likes physical touch, and lasty they share each other’s first kiss and I love you. She remembers feeling swept away by the rush of a new romance since it’s her first serious relationship. But, she doesn’t know if she really is in love LOVE with Si-eun because their relationship felt so rush. She feels their relationship was based on fantasy and less about a true emotional bond until she have her first argument with Si-eun about how he is giving less attention to her and slowly pulling away from her and at first she gave in when Si-eun said he would change however day by day he still kept on doing that making Y/N argue with him for the second time. Si-eun grow tired from the same arguments and thinks he is not ready for a serious relationship yet because at what’s he is going through and he is still immature for that so one day he thought of breaking up with her over text because he doesn’t have a decency to talk to her about it in person.
It made Y/N heartbroken the moment she got the break up text from Si-eun and run to Gotak’s house debating if she comes to him since he is been avoiding her for months now. Suddenly the door opened then Gotak appeared and is about to head out to Baku’s dad chicken place and surprised to see Y/N standing in his porch with tears pouring on her face. His surprise turns to worry as he comes up to her beginning to comfort her by hugging first and never said a word to her because he knows that asshole broke her heart.
“Why…” She mumbled as she looks at Gotak which made him furious at why he never tells her about his feelings because if he did maybe she is not crying right now and he will treat her better than her lunatic of a boyfriend.
“If I’m her boyfriend, I will give her the best treatment that she deserves…” Gotak muttered enough for Y/N to hear.
“What?”
(Hi guys, I will make part 2 if a lot like it sorry for the cliffhanger 😜)
