Fanfiction- Baldur's Gate is real
Part 1
It was a normal day, I was at work, came home in the evening, fed my dog, fed myself and finally got some rest. My feet rested next to my dog and I watched a few videos on my mobile. Relaxed, like every day, we went outside at a time when no one was out. The streets were empty and quiet, only I rattled around with my key. My dog sniffed a few corners before we walked at a fast pace through the still very lit park. It had been a long time since I'd seen a churned-up lawn, so now we were walking through the park again, which rustled from every bush. That didn't bother me, I relied completely on my dog. But this evening something was different. The path ended at a playground, but this playground showered in sand was a blur. As if a pane of frosted glass had been placed in front of me. I looked around, but only this one spot shimmered like a crystal glass from my mother. My dog pulled me to the spot and a slight rustling sound emanated from the very dense cloud of mist. My dog smelled something and just pulled me in, I didn't want to and couldn't let go. I don't want to lose my dog, he has a great emotional value for me. So we went together, me reluctantly, into the gate of darkness.
I couldn't see anything, we were just walking straight ahead, or with a slight bend to the left?
But then I saw a small light, it got brighter and it became as bright as daylight. I was no longer cold and my jumper felt too much. As if through a wall, I was drawn to another side. The air became clearer , the sound louder and the image clearer. But before I could get my bearings I tripped over something soft, something like fabric. I picked myself up again, my dog, visibly confused, stood obediently by my side as if it wasn't his fault that we were here. The sun was shining in my face (it shouldn't, it shouldn't.). The sun shines on my belly, it should, it should. As my father would say).
And so I caught sight of the beautiful forest with a few tents I had made myself and strange creatures and a few people looking at me in disbelief.
"It's a boy. Where did he come from?"
A pale guy with bright red eyes and a charming voice said. His hair was white and he wore only a light shirt with a few red patches.
"A boy with his dog, just out of nowhere. Very unusual." an older man spoke from the corner, he seemed to be the most normal one here.
Then I wanted to speak up too. "I'm not a boy, I'm full grown. An adult boy. A man, then. I know I don't look like one, but that's probably because... well, that's a... I just think it's important that someone explains to me what's actually going on here.
"You're pretty small for a full-grown man," the fiery red lady to my right remarked.
remarked the fiery red lady to my right. She had two horns, one was broken off and glowing eyes. From her came an eerie warmth like a giant campfire.
"Well, there are also small humans, maybe a half-breed with a dwarf or halfling," said the normal man with shoulder-length hair.
"I am not a dwarf, just a human. But I am extremely confused. You seem to be, too. Perhaps we should all sit down and talk." I said argumentatively and immediately sat down cross-legged on a sleeping bag that was just lying around.
"Ok let's talk..."
And everyone sat down in a circle. "Sit" I said to my dog.
