Intro for my little game HELLO WORLD. If my programming gets better I'll be able to get those ugly "can't pass" blocks out of there.

A small spritesheet that I'll use for a SHMUP style minigame. Minigames are gonna be an important part of HELLO WORLD. Winning a character's minigame will grant you their love.

New animations for Beazley. Left one is for getting an item, middle one is for using an item, and the right one is for when the inventory is on screen.

Just finished Save Cat's walking animations. This is my first time ever drawing and animating a quadruped. Not too bad if you ask me.

Finished Save Cat's home interior background. Unlike the player and most NPC characters, the backgrounds and other objects are going to be pre-rendered 3D assets.

WATDAHEEEEEELL OMAIGAAA NOWAYAYAYAAY
Yeah. I'm still working on it. Progress is slow (thanks to college), but that does not discourage me. Hopefully I'll have it done by April/May of next year (though I wouldn't trust me on it).
Now, take a look on what I've been working on: I've been doing a little bit of SCRIPTING, both in dialogue and programming.
I've also done my first ever pre-rendered sprite. I decided to have the background, buildings and other level assets to be pre-rendered, while characters will remain 2D. This would be Save Cat's home:
That's about it for now. Stay tuned for next update! See ya.

Starting from Scratch

Hey, I'm back. Kinda.
ArtFight ended. It was fun, I enjoyed it and I think I'm gonna keep practicing my drawing skills cause making art is cool.
But now let's talk about the only thing that matters in God's green Earth: Hello World.
Like the title of this post says, I've decided to start from scratch for two reasons: 1- OHRRPGCE is a good engine, but it's too limiting. The ideas that I got are not too ambitious neither complicated, but even the simplest of things are hard to implement. 2- The wednesday updates were making me rush decisions and that made me realize that the only way this game is gonna come out being at least decent is to take my time and to accept that it's never gonna end up being the way I want to.
So basically, updates are going to be a lot less frequent but I can asure you that this will help me make a better game.
So yeah. That's about it. Talk to yall next update (whenever that may be).
