This thought just came to me but

Your f/os would 100 PERCENT show up to your graduations, ceremonies, adjacent of the sorts

Esp if your familial f/o is more stoic and blocked off emotionally but knows you look up to them a lot, and you're basically their closest relative to them; you absolutely know they would be the first one you see when you look for people you invited, making sure their presence is known in their own way.

If you have shit home lives and don't have many people to lean on, your f/os will GLADLY take that spot, no matter if its calling out to you or cheering for you when you walk across the stage, get your award, they'll show whatever they can to prove to you they're so immensely proud of you.

You've worked so hard for your spot in life, how could they not show up for the biggest moments in your life?
