I’m watching pride and prejudice for the first time and as I saw Mr. Darcy I felt as if I had seen him before. After long watching and careful consideration, I had a sudden thought and I knew where I had seen such an unpleased frown mixed with such challenged emotions before : Miles Edgeworth, prosecutor of the Ace Attorney franchise.

It fits so perfect. In Phoenix we find the strong willed and free spirited protagonist that is Elizabeth Bennet. Thus I must insist on a Pride and Prejudice AU of Ace Attorney.

As such it all begins with Pride and Prejudice, doesn’t it?

This is Sherlock Holmes, tall and handsome, extremely genius and never fails, a sociopath in personality, very manly and has sexual affairs with Irene Adler. And here we have Dr John Watson, a hamster, a blabbering idiot, buffoon, only here for comic relief.

How canon depicts Holmes and Watson-

This is Sherlock Holmes, tall, gaunt weird looking, highly genius but not infallible (and he often admits that himself), aloof but kind hearted, has queer mannerisms, has no sexual interests and admires Irene for her intelligence. And here we have Dr John Watson, height of bravery and loyalty, understanding, smart, a dashing gentleman, a ladies man, has a thrill for adventure, but is also unhinged in several ways.

Clearly they haven't read the canon.

So one thing that’s kind of bugging me about DR is that in my opinion the og ninja often don’t really feel like family anymore. Like don’t get me wrong I love the addition of the new Trio and also Cole’s cute family but somehow that came at the cost of the OG fam and some of their relationships, which I think is really sad :(
