I was watching the first Yin episode of Psych yesterday and there's a line where Shawn says something like "I have one question for you" and Yang responds with "Yes, they DO allow conjugal visits but I think we have to get married first" and Mary Lightly's immediate response is "I'm a fully ordained minister" and like, Mary Lightly for one of the Weird Guys of all time, that's the absolute funniest reaction to a serial killer (who you have a special interest in) flirting with the detective who put them in the psych ward

I like that the movies establish that Mary, who met Shawn like twice and didn't have the warmest interactions with him most of the time (mainly from Shawn's end was the distrust) is basically Shawn's Guardian Spirit or whatever. He died and decided "Yeah I'll spend my afterlife following this guy around occasionally giving him cryptic clues and comfort."

Now I just need Whip Chatterly's Spirit to also be following Shawn around. You'd think he and Mary would be buds but they don't vibe with each other and aren't sure why.
