Leucothea! A very minor goddess I didn’t know existed until recently but!! She’s so cool!!

She was a sea goddess who was known for coming to the aid of sailors is distress out at sea! Her name, Leucothea, meaning White-Goddess

˙✧˖° 🫧 ⋆｡˚꩜

She was once a mortal princess named Ino, a daughter of King Kadmos of Thebes. She and her husband Athamas incurred the wrath of Hera when they fostered the infant god Dionysus. As punishment the goddess drove Athamas into a murderous rage and he slew his eldest child. Ino then grapped the other, and in her flight leapt off a cliff into the sea.

Leucothea also later came to the aid of Odysseus when his raft had been destroyed by Poseidon, and wrapped him in the safety of her buoyant shawl.

Tethys!!

Tethys was the Titan Goddess of the primal font of fresh water which nourishes the earth! She was the wife of Oceanus, the Primordial Titan God of all of the earth's fresh water rivers, wells, springs and rain-clouds.

Tethys was also the mother of all oceanids (nymphs of water) and nephelai! (Cloud nymphs)

Her name means “nurse” or “grandmother” which I love, the nurse of all water eheheheh

I need to see more Tethys designs out there man she’s so cool and I love mine with all my heart

My design for Clytemnestra!! When designing Helen I knew I also had to design Clytemnestra along with her, they are sister after all!

Clytemnestra was the daughter of Leda and Tyndareus, and wife to Agamemnon. She is mostly known for murdering Agamemnon after he sacrificed their daughter Iphigenia for the Trojan War. (Which he definitely deserved lol)

My main inspiration behind Clytemnestra was actually the book by Costanza Casati! After reading it I got the visual of how I saw her and I think I was able to draw it exactly!! Ofc I also see her main color being red. And the stars at the end of her hair also act as knifes wheee! She is wrathful but so strong and smart and such an amazing figure in mythology hehe <3

Helen was the daughter of Leda and Zeus and was considered to be the most beautiful woman (next to Aphrodite ofc)

She ofc is known as the face who failed a thousand ships! After being taken by Paris to Tory, starting the Trojan War.

Mini Design Notes!

-Very light patches of vitiligo!

-Short strawberry blonde haircut! More pink but I thought she’d look adorable with it!

-Bright ocean blue eyes, made them that color while thinking ofc that she’s the face that sailed so many ships!

-Small chest but thicker bottom

-And swan makeup! Probably her go to makeup look

I wanted to try something a lil outta my comfort zone color wise! A lot of my illustrations are dreamy pastels and stuff so I wanted to try something different! And I wanted to draw Mama Demeter again so I found this painting by Franz Bohumil Doubek called Allegory of Summer and redrew it with my Demeter! And I think I like how she came out 🌾

-Big ocean blue eyes, probably the only thing that ties her to her neraid heritage

-Biiiig big beautiful black hair that’s greying at the roots! And that she always keeps in a messy bun or down loose!

-Short and small pear like figure!

-and maybe bread in her pockets to feed the ducks <3

I had an idea for a design for Medusa a while ago and finally got around to doodling her out! And now she’s my cutie pie pookie hehe

Mini Design Notes!

•

-A braid of snake hair! I went for three long snakes for her hair that she likes the braid together so they don’t tangled around stuff! And she’s probably named them and all three snakes probably have their own distinct personality so they get their own jewelry too!

-Snake like jaw! When she’s anggy her mouth opens and unhinges into a more snake accurate jaw thingy then leaves slits on her cheeks when closed

-Super tall and slim body type! Just to give her that long snake feel

-Lil teefs sticking out of her mouth <3

I needed to draw my Persephone again!! I haven’t since like August of 2024!! Damn!!

Anyway! I messed around with the dress design on this one for a bit. I knew I didn’t just wanna draw the plain white dress so after some trail and error on designs I did this petal like dress!! And I think she came out super cutie pie <3
