Day 2 of Jily Week– Green-Eyed Monster

"Evans", James immediately glanced her way as he entered the pub, only to get pulled on the sleeve by Sirius, steering him towards the bar and away from Lily.

As Mary and Marlene carried on talking, Lily discreetly stretched up to look over to where James was now, sitting at the bar, trying to get Madame Rosmerta's attention.

"Rosie", James grinned, leaning over the bar.

"James", Rosmerta smiled at the sight of him and hurried over, "Four Butterbeers?"

"I'm almost of age", Sirius sighed, "Can't you slide us something stronger? We are your favourites."

"Cute", Rosmerta laughed as she shook her head, "Four butterbeers."

Sirius took three of them once she had finished pouring, taking them over to the table Remus and Peter had snagged up. But James remained at the bar, talking to Rosmerta.

Lily frowned, "I'm going to get another drink."

"What?" Mary called after her, "We were about to head off?"

Lily walked over to the bar, staring at James' seeming unwavering attention towards Rosmerta, their hands both laying atop the bar, inches apart, James saying something Lily couldn't quite hear, but it made Rosmerta laugh hard, leaning closer to James to pat his arm.

Lily stood there for moment, neither noticing her, too caught up in their conversation.

She coughed.

"Butterbeer", She folded her arms, as the two turned towards her.

"Hey, Evans", James lifted a hand to his hair.

"Potter", She replied without looking at him, "Having fun?"

"Yeah", James shrugged, "Rosmerta was just telling me about some guy who came in the other day with this huge bag of-" He turned back to Rosmerta, "What was it?"

"Puffskeins", she placed a butterbeer in front of Lily.

"Merlin, was he selling them?" James laughed.

"I actually asked him that", Rosmerta leaned against the counter, "But nope, he wasn't in the creature business at all."

Lily rolled her eyes and walked away as James laughed again, his gaze not leaving Rosmerta.

"Lily, how are you?" Amos stepped in front of her.

"Amos! Great to see you, actually", she glanced behind again, "Are you up to anything at the moment?"

He shrugged, "Just with some friends."

"Would you want to... hang out? Just us?"

"Oh, right. Yeah, sure, I'm up for that."

"Great", Lily grabbed his hand, pulling him back over to the bar.

She coughed again, "Can I actually get another for my date?"

James' face dropped.

"Date?" His eyes drifted down to the clasped hands, "With him?"

"Yep", Lily smiled, smugly smiling at James.

Amos grabbed the glass and the two sat down at a booth together.

"She's on a date with Diggory," James stared at their backs.

"It's just one date", Rosmerta tried to comfort him, "You still have a shot."

James pouted, sliding his head in his hands, "Still."

From across the pub, Lily pretended to listen to amos' rambling as she glanced up over the booth to find James.

james uses the mirrors for evil (waking sirius up at 5am even during holidays) whilst sirius uses the mirrors for good (listening in on james' dates and telling him when he's talking about himself or sirius or lily or quidditch too much)

it is actually insane to me how people are so obsessed with the idea that Sirius was a blood supremacist in secret and Regulus was actually a good guy all along

watching popstar academy: katseye atm & i'm on ep 4 rn. i have no clue who the katseye members are, other than manon bcs of sam reid (the reason i'm watching it).

but i'm assuming no other girls are joining so i'm doing a ranking of who i hope is in the group (might change by the last ep idk)

1. megan (my fav by far. rlly hoping she's in it)

2. lexie & ezrela (they both would have to be in it. like the idea of only one of them and not the other is insane to me)

3. manon (prob higher bcs sam reid said she's his fav but i still rlly like her)

Day 1 of Jily Week– Knight in Shining Armour

A loud and steady pace inched closer to Lily's room, interrupting her from her correspondence to family.

She knew who the footsteps belonged to immediately.

The door was thrown open and in stepped the prince, hair a mess as always, and shirt askew.

He smiled at her, standing in the doorway, "What do poor people eat?"

Lily blinked, just noticing the large, empty sack slung over his shoulder.

"What?"

"Poor people. What do they eat?"

Lily frowned, "Normal food?"

"Really?" James hummed in thought, "Maybe we can go on a hunt and have the cooks roast some meat to take around the kingdom."

"I can't, I've got training today with the other knights."

"But I'm the prince", James shrugged, "I'll just tell them you're busy."

Lily laughed, "You realise you're supposed to be there too, right? Part of your duties is being in charge of the knights."

"Ugh", James sighed, "That's boring, we're not even at war! Isn't feeding our people more important?"

Lily smiled, standing up and grabbing her armour from its wooden storage box.

"So," James grinned, trying to be charming, "Will you go with me?"

Lily furrowed her brows, "This better not be a ploy to woo me again."

"It's not," he protested, "I just want your help in helping my people... and if our time alone in each other's company endears you to me then-"

"James", Lily narrowed her eyes.

"I'm just saying if it happens, it happens."

Lily made a show of rolling her eyes in frustration, biting down her smile and turning away to get changed.

"I'll meet you by the stables?"

Lily turned, noting the flush in James' cheek that likely had arisen in her own, and the dimples on his face from the wide grin that always seemed to be there whenever he spoke to her.

She nodded, "I'll see you there."

His grin widened, eyes wrinkling slightly in anticipation of his own humour.

"You're my knight in shining armour."

Lily stared at him, "Funny."

"I'll see you soon?" He lingered.

"Yes!" She motioned for him to leave, waiting until the door closed shut to let out a small laugh.
